Since Terrahash stated they might be using Bitfury's chips, i would not mind them doing something like a trade in value.. Where we trade in our current order and use that to fund the development of the bitfury boards and chips..
I mean seriously at this point the order i have with Terrahash, will never make ROI. I Just dont see the point.
Not very likely, maybe a more cheap offer to us on BF miners the most I expect.. Terrahash isn't stupid, If it is within their budget and power to provide their current customers a good deal on future products I'm sure they wouldn't hesitate. I really look forward to it... |

My back of the envelope calculations put the value of the 6TH running on 10/1 at .000605 / share and the remaining 44TH running on 10/15 at .002435/share, for an expected value of at least .0031

Network Hash Rate = 450 Th/s Mine Hash Rate = 50 Th/s 50 * 100 / 450 = 11.11% Blocks/Round = 2016 Bitcoin/Block = 25 BTC Bitcoin/Round = 2016 * 25 = 50,400 BTC 50,400 * 11.11% = 5,599.44 BTC 5,599.44 BTC / 10,000,000 shares = 0.00055994 BTC per share per round. So, even if Labcoin had 50 Th/s right now, divs (twice a week) from mining would be about 0.00013 BTC. If that's correct, then the annualized divs per share would be 0.01352 Hmmm. That's not correct because at todays prices my $4000 dollars can buy almost 2,000,000 shares that means I will profit over $2.7Million dollars in a year. Even knowing that information, you still would not be able to make an accurate prediction as you'd still have to account for miner luck. Do you know anything at all about mining? Can someone explain to me what kind of hashrate you can buy for $4,000 with labcoin?
Chip Specs: Multi-core 130 nm chip with power consumption of: 2.7 w/Ghash. Each chip runs at 4.7 GH/s @ 12.8W
Chip estimated cost (full production run post First-run): $9-$10 USD per chip or $2 per GH with the 130nm chip, $4000 would produce 2TH/S of hashpower, according to this.. 28nm my ass!! |

What if they're delayed on top of that? They promise additional hashpower if they delay. However, a positive return plugging in as early as jan 1 would require 50% additional hashpower. And a delay would make it impossible to plug in that early with the additional hashpower, and it is a fantasy to think they would offer that much compensation for the inconvenience of the delay. Hmm. I applaud cointerra on the technological advances in design, but it doesn't look a like a wise investment for us at those prices. Don't take this as "you should buy it today" but ASIC companies offering "free" hashing power as I don't think $8/GH in Dec/Jan is viable and eventually bitfury & KNC will be looked to add later dated sales too. The Q1-2014 price wars have just started. Everyone should just go buy LABCOIN shares instead. These 28nm companies are all way overpriced, and require massive upfront orders. At least KnC is selling the single-chip mercury unit for a somewhat sane price. I never understood how these shares worked? So how much GH can you buy with $15,000 worth of shares? And do they pay out 100%? I will sell when and if it goes x10, just a small amount invested for speculation.Dividends is a plus but I do not go in much details... |
