4262  Economy / Securities / Re: [ANN] Hosted-Mining (revenue shares) / BTCT.co on: August 25, 2013, 08:42:06 AM

Hi all,

As we can see, there has been another 30% difficulty increase for Bitcoin mining yesterday.

For those of you who might not be following the difficulty of mining, the difficulty doubles at a speed of every 30-35 days.
i.e. you can only mine half of the coins you are mining now at the end of September, or you can only mine ¼ of the coins you are mining now at the end of October.

According to Danny Bradbury’s calculation in http://www.coindesk.com/alydian-targets-big-ticket-miners-with-terahash-hosting/.
Quote
“At 2%/day difficulty growth rates, an October 31 delivery from KnC at $19/GH equates to $62/GH on August 29,” he says (1.02 * 61 days = 62) “And that still leaves someone with two extra months of mining, plus of course the reduction in power costs.

However, the price we are getting from Alydian is at least 30% less than this price. That’s why we are saying it’s a great deal to buy it now and share the revenue RIGHT NOW.

And again, any funds we raised beyond the amount needed to acquire the 10 TH contract will be used for group-buying new mining hardware. Unless the investors want it returned as a dividend.

*What we are going to do right now?

We are going to do a motion on 100 to 1 stock split for more liquidation and reduce our total # of share to 10,000,000 after the split. The first batch of shares will be reduced to 0.0028 and the 2nd batch will be released at a price higher than 0.0028. Our initial offering will become 2,000,000 shares.

*What is next?

We are going to become our own supplier with a 28nm or smaller design developed in collaboration with http://www.brioconcept.com/. We will be doing bulk mining, instead of physically shipping to customers, so that you get your revenue share WITHOUT the hassle of monitoring, heat issues or technical issues.

Lastly, I want to thank everyone for their advise and continuous support, and apologize for any insults that may have occurred during my responses. However, we do believe in this project and our team promises to dedicate maximum amount of time needed to have it done in the right manner.

Cheers,
Hosted-Mining
IMHO from now on this is the only option left to small/medium grade miners. Only few will afford mining with their own ASICs. We can only have a piece of the pie like this. Or mine with gpus + free electricity alt coins...
4263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 25, 2013, 08:32:18 AM
Miner protection offered by KnC would be a huge plus. I bet all you posting against HF's one would applaud the exactly same proposal from KnC lol

Plus if as a customer you really need to be sure the company you bet does the best it can to deliver you should pray HF delivers late October so KnC is more pressed to deliver ASAP. But your greed...

Heh I think the short term bubble opportunity is about to end.

Swede is not going to post new news during the weekend, there should be ample time to purchase shares later on after the price stagnates.

blahblahblah 0.16 => 0.22 oh it's a bubble it's going to pop blahblahblah oh no! it was not a bubble, 0.22 => 0.27 blahblah oh it's a bubble, it's going to pop blahblah oh no! it was not a bubble, 0.27 => > 0.3 blahblah oh it's a bubble..... oh no! it was not a bubble, boring isn't it ?

Its probably time for those that bought in at that .003 wall to realize profits given that there will be no news until the work week. By "bubble" I do not necessarily mean that the price will decline steeply to where the price was previously, just that there will be no further upward movement until the next event. During this time, its most profitable to take advantages of opportunities elsewhere in the bitcoin market.
Like where?

DMS.Selling's dividend is tomorrow; the massive price fluctuations that occur on DMS.Selling and DMS.Mining that always accompanies these events are fairly profitable.
Link? Never heard it! Thanks.

I dont want to go around advertising other securities in labcoin's thread, Deprived's offering is fairly easy to find. However, since you do not currently know what it is and because the offering is rather complex I would be careful if I were you in actually putting any money on selling or mining.
I am on vacations - too complicated for me ATM lol

There is no thermal control on KNC's chip is there?
If so then careless overclocking would burn them! Then? What is KnC's policy on this?
I am sure that is what you really ask, though I don't know the answer...

What's up with mining companies and releasing forcasts that nearly always under predict the rate of difficulty increase?

6% Difficulty increase in a month? Seriously?

The difficulty increase is divided in stages:

  • First stage is an increase of 65% up till december
  • Second stage is an increase of 30%
  • Third stage is an increase of 18%
  • LAst stage is an increase of 6%

When you take 1 number to calculate the difficulty increase, for instance 30%, you would end up with impossible numbers.
(30% = difficulty of 4,749,627,852,593)
It already doubled in a month! It is the awkward moment when many ASIC startups realize they will probably FAIL.
4277  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Official AnonCoin thread - Client Update!! (Native I2P, TOR nodes) on: August 24, 2013, 07:29:19 PM
Mac OS X Update

Finally it's here! I've been testing it on Mac OS X 10.7.5 with both I2P enabled and not. Working fine for me. Please report any errors!

You Mac OS X users are also the lucky first to use the new codebase, 0.8.3.7  Smiley

http://anoncoin.net/downloads/Anoncoin-Qt.dmg

Release for windows will be out within some days. First we'll add coin control! We will update the Mac OS X client as well with that new feature. Linux users are free to compile! - We're also planning to release Linux binaries, but no schedule there.
Awesome news! I am on vacations, Wednesday test day!
