It will be gone by tomorrow, just look at all the money leaving ASIC miner

Is the other way . Ppl will rush to buy cheap AM shares.
Good luck to them catching the falling knife!

You get to start counting negative numbers on October 1st.
Hmm you got a point there, probably we need 2 counters one for best case scenario one for worst!

7 - 37

7 more days till Sept...
I was busy to post this you caught me!!

7 days until we start probably counting negative numbers but up to -14 things would be ok for most.

big talk from someone who doesnt even have a chip in hand.

Seems like sufficient credentials to talk BIG.

Code:
Amy has previously worked for Google, Pivotal Labs, and several Bay Area startups,
as well as Nortel and the National Research Council of Canada.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from McMaster University, Canada
Ah you probably are not aware of the achievements of the 1984 generation! Just ask him and you will be impressed..

She has a degree, she has worked in the industry, she seems legit to me. Let us see when the chips hit the ground and then we can start talking smack. Seems to be a lot of drift from BFL / Avalon disappointment to threads like these. Need to give the companies enough slack to hang themselves I thought?

Willing to give this company a chance as well as others. Let there be chips.
I was just being ironic on keenan84, which is a good guy btw and misunderstood him previously and went a bit harsh on him!

I am sure Amy is overqualified to do the job!

So this still RSA and not ECC right? Any plans for switching?

what about de-listing the coin from CC?

Uhm.. I got no clue what you're talking about. I visited CC for about two seconds ago and I saw ANC there as usual. Sure you didn't oversee it?
He suggests to remove it from there!

Yesterday I was thinking about selling some LC shares to buy ActM too, well, thank God I didn't do that stupid move.  Cheesy

I don't really get why anyone would want to Activemining.  As of now they have, like, 6 Avalon, and an order for 5TH/s worth of super-delayed Avalon chips.

They've also got a 20Gh/s 28nm asic in the pipeline, compared to 100-400Gh/s from competitors.  Of course, if their chips have about the same performance per mm^2 it might not be so bad. (IMO making huge, massively energy consuming chips is a bad idea)
I got out early enough out of this crap...

On another note I had a question about your hosting service.
When it becomes not profitable to mine and the fees are bigger than the value in usd of coins mined, how do we proceed?
Does it automatically stop mining the month when the profit becomes <=0 ?
Any options available on the fate of the hardware?

Sure  Wink
Its one of the reason i dislike programming

How can you be 100% ready to go you haven't tested the latest K16 board?

Because we didn't feel the need to do so. We have already tested the version 1, and we know exactly what was causing the error rates and that has been fixed in this version. If the boards you get do not work at the promised hashrate, you can blame us then. Right now you have no right to tell us how to run our business. We acknowledge that we have been lousy on customer support (we are fixing it), but on the technical and operational side, we have been very professional and have done everything the best we could do.

This, right here, is the height of arrogance.
If I had a dime for exery time I've asked if a new version of something has been properly tested and someone said no but don't worry about it, I know what caused that problem and I've fixed it, only to find out shortly thereafter that oops that didn't fix the problem after all or created an entirely new problem that they didn't realize and put a project on hold yet *again*, I'd be a rich man.
You're right in that nobody has a right to tell you how to run your business.  The only right anyone has is to look at how you run your business and decide whether they want to do business with you in light of what they see, whether that be good bad or indifferent
This is a subjective matter of opinion, but I would have to say that if you're making assumptions that something is fixed without testing it to be certain, no you have not done everything the best you could do.

Again, blame us WHEN we fail.
Problem is that IF you fail we will pay more than you...(for that particular issue)

You are not helping Bargraphics...

Not helping what?

The delusions and made-up scenarios that they put upon Terrahash? You are right, I'm not helping them.

I live in the real world, in the real world that only thing Terrahash has done poorly was their customer service in respect to their Tickets.

Everything else has been fine.

Would you like to join my in this real world?
Many posts of you get borderline to trolling and you can do much better than that. It's not what you say but how.
Even TH loses credibility when you make some posts, which you believe so much in them!

This is a difficult situation and I am sure you are affected as well. Let's try to get out of this mess together, it is the only way...

This would happen sooner or later, let's see if it is a nail in the coffin or motivation for TH..

If you were going to mine to launder money, wouldn't you have to launder the money to buy the mining hardware?
Craziest reason to mine ever. Also, lacks understanding of IRS.

No, because there's no link between the mining hardware and the coins mined.  A new coin is a new coin.  There's no trace of who mined it.

However.

If you're mining on a pool the pool could keep a record of your IP and associate your address with the IP you were using to mine from. You could use TOR, but isn't it likely that most of the TOR exit nodes are run by the NSA anyway?

The only way to get totally untraceable coins is to solo mine, which is pretty risky.
Even solo is not anonymous...check AnonyMint's posts if you like, especially one in the Newbies section.

On the topic of overclocking...

Terrahash, for those that will be hosting with you, are you offering the option to overclock the miners?

When I visited Terrahash, they made it clear that the boards could only handle 350MH/Chip (not the chips).

Unless you transplant the chip onto another board there won't be much more room for "overclocking'.

Although Terrahash has had time to change up their board now, I wonder if the above is still true.
A nice task while they wait for the chips?

The servers being in Panama is for anonymity (check their laws). The important thing is they are not US hosted. MtGox and others used US based payment processors, such as Dwolla; had servers based in the US; or were directly involved in bank/wire transfers. All of which this exchange won't do.

This is only an example, but say https://perfectmoney.com and http://payza.com are two of the processors. They take care of the deposit through wire transfer, western union, or any other method available. You'd use that to fund your CryptoAve USD balance.
I will keep an eye on this thanks!
4298  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 23, 2013, 01:23:30 PM

We should ALL be worry except Knc, because they already has our money. With No Updates by this week we should really be concern as to where the heck is the 28nm Chips?

Where are the freaking chip.  Grin  Should we Go for Refund.?

A Chicken without a head would go no where, the chip is the brain for our bitcoin miner.

You avoided my question in a previous post or missed it...

EDIT: But just remembered you actually answered it later to another post replying to someone else for the same issue so nevermind!

Nice, especially about the K64.
