Terrahash has always stated that deliveries would begin two weeks after chips are received.  Anyone bitching about them not delivering might want to remember that - it was one of the conditions of purchase.  You get to start complaining two weeks after they've received chips.

YiFu is the problem here, not Terrahash.  Are daily updates of "Nope.  No chips yet" really going to be very useful?

Yes, you are correct that they have consistently stated delivery would be 2 weeks after they get the chips.  That is great and I trust they will, but if that is all they can give us, I find it hard to believe that anyone (customers) finds that acceptable.  Do you?  If so, I'm having a hard time swallowing that is all they are going to give us.  I am not trying to be flippant, but could you help me understand why you believe that the frequency and quality of their communications thus far has been acceptable?

I don't think keeping us (customers) informed is asking too much.  TH, let us know what you are working on... if you are not working on anything, let us know... maybe someone here can come up with something for you to work on that will get the situation a small step closer to being beneficial to all.  If nothing else, I think the communication from TH would calm the anxious chatter in the thread and be a welcome distraction from the chip dilemma.

I am not trying to bitch at TH for not getting the chips yet, but I do feel it would be beneficial to all to receive more frequent communication from TH.  I expect it would quiet the noise and let people focus on things besides waiting for the next tidbit of information from TH.  If TH continues with their silence, I expect the thread will continue to speculate, bitch, and work into a full-fledged frenzy.
Well said.

TH should DEMAND double chips from Avalon as compensation, pass them free to us with the additional costs for PCBs etc half the cost (for anyone interested). In case Avalon rejects this I DEMAND as a customer legal action from TH against them.
Shit got serious, I am angry and I expect everyone to start behaving professionally and responsible from now on...

Demanding does not generally get good results.  Negotiating might though...
Sure, problem is either they do nothing or they don't tell us which are both unacceptable.
I am not a noob and knew the risks but I don't accept the pathetic stance in me, TH and all of it's customers. That and lack of communication/cooperation is that pisses me off!

Believe me I give shit about the 3K I might never break even, I just won't stay being beaten and not hit back..

Terrahash is in no better position to demand something of YiFu than you are.  Why not take up your demands with YiFu yourself?  I'm certain your demands will be just as effective as everyone else's have been to date.
Read the link about Avalon news, I will submit btc too for legal action.
Many people it seems who like taking it in their ass...

What is going to happen, people like Intel and Samsung coming in and crushing all the small time players?

No.  Of all the risks this isn't one.  Total annual bitcoin revenue is a rounding error for a company like Samsung or Intel.  In theory (and I am not saying it is likely) some years or decades from now when Bitcoin is many magnitudes larger it might attract the interest of a major semiconductor company however by then the Bitcoin ASIC companies who have survived will have years of experience.  A big player would simply buy the company outright to hit the ground running.
Not possible imo, but if price gets at 1000 before Christmas not sure they will be still not interested!

Yes, lead by example! wait.....
Not sure I understand you but I am sure you are not one of those who will just accept losing money without doing something.

I'll translate for everyone else.

You guys have till Sunday night to purchase shares at or around current levels.  Monday we expect a small rally pushing the price upward to .003.

Have a nice weekend.

If the update next week is "We did the first run, the chips work", then I highly doubt .003 is gonna cut it.

"We tried, however, to do our best to make everyone happy even if the fault is not ours, we understand that many people have invested great amount of personal money and that's why we're trying our best to make a plan B possible where we will, should the worst happen, upgrade everybody to a newer generation device based on Bitfury chips, this is something that I hope you realise isn't obvious."

Yep still heard nothing from them.
So I guess main line cgminer support wont be happening ...
Already looking for a freebie, again, Kano?

(I am reading up on KNC. Impressive developments so far. Nothing to complain about as of yet.)
You are so jealous!

It would have been if at least they would have contacted you.
Pardon my ignorance and laziness to search but are kano and the other guy the only option for developing cgminer drivers? What about bfminer (if I recall the spelling correct)? Can't it be used instead? Not so efficient?

If they delay, then it means that the expected increase in hashrate will also be delayed proportionally.

lol? you maybe forgot about almost million avalon chips, bitfury and other players in this game.)

Who holds the fiat?  Is there a fee for merchants?  Are there any user fees?

The exchange holds the fiat. The merchant/user fees as well as other financial details will be posted when finalized.

The servers will be located in Panama and as posted in the earlier thread, all payment processing is through third party processors.

Fincen->Egmont group->http://www.egmontgroup.org/about/list-of-members/by-region/americas

Panama: Checked!6

Good luck with that...

http://www.ccihosting.com

The payment processing location and server location are not the same thing.

-Merchants can accept any currency through the built in payment processor

Does this mean that a merchant can accept DGC or other crypto's as payment and get paid in USD, as Bitpay does for bitcoin? That would be awesome.
Other than that, very good looking website. Best of luck with that.

This can be easily enabled when there is enough volume.
Explain to me please how the third party processors are immune to regulagion if your servers are in Panama, I am not sure you are bulletproof (see MtGox)...
They can always freeze and confiscate your accounts and force 3rd party processors to stop the deals with you.
Sorry for being pushy but I have been burned many times (btc24, btcCentral, mtgox...)
4315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2013, 08:05:22 AM
Just how realistic is that seeing it's nearly september already?
If they ship last day of September then you will have it October and they will still be compliant on their promise.
Maybe Bitcoinorama then will use his precious CC for refund...but wait! Hmmmm...

Well considering they booked with the fab, whenever that was, they would have been given an estimate of when to expect the chips, and then following such assured statement been at the mercy of the fab. KnC then plays a waiting game, whilst ensuring all else runs smoothly. Once they have the chips in hand they have to build a prototype, test, and then manufacture the products. All they've said is they are on track, so I'd imagine it means what they have said it to mean; September.

Just how unrealistic could that be? Klee what's the beef?
How much are you willing to wait IF they have a delay before requesting a refund? Straight answer please..
4316  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: August 22, 2013, 08:03:21 AM

I hope they are NOT LATE for Chip Delivery. Now No News on Chips Progress. Why talk about the PCB when without the Asic Chips
nothing will work. Bitfury delay delivery to October.

By now end of August 2013 still No News on Chip Progress. Why? Critical is the Chip not the pcb board.

Ironically, I received that same image via PM yesterday from another user.

But that's not why I came here to post. As you all know, I've been busy sticking it up BFL's ass. To date, I've had no reason to check what's happening in Camp KnC. I do have one request though: If at any time KnC refuses to honor refunds, would somebody be so kind as to PM me and let me know?

Later, all.

Bruno Kucinskas
The guys are 200% professional, only if things really get ugly they may have issues with refunds. I do not think this will happen though. Maybe only some upset stomachs if they are missing their September deadline by 1-2 weeks. Worst but most possible scenario IMHO..

I think only 1 (ONE) company has even acknowledged publicly that they will incrementally lower their prices as market conditions worsen.

I think only 1 company has acknowledged that they have a plan to compensate buyers with chips if they can't make ROI. But only chips.

What company do you mean?

This fit KNCminner
