The mindless people spreading the FUD, are trying to drag down one of the most efficient ASIC designs out their atm, assuming it lives up to it's claimed performance, and it's the efficient ones that are going to stay profitable longest,
Design<>product
4502  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: July 13, 2013, 08:12:55 AM
at 150million diff. my mercury will still make me 30 bucks a day. thats pretty damn good to me.
It could also make zero or several hundred dollars per day, you don't know what the price of BTC will be when you get the mercury, so the 150mill diff is not the determining factor.

If most of the Avalon, ASICminer, and BFL rigs stop being profitable and give up, then guess who will get more of the BTC? The KNCminer owners, until something more efficient comes along.
Fair point @ 1st paragraph.
As for the 2nd, people mining with Avalon, ASICminer, Bitfury earlier than KnC will have the funds to move to the next gen chips which will make KnC's obsolete. Small window here if they won't deliver on time...

Good info, thanks for the update terrahash.

What's needed to cool the board at 275-300?

Right now I am using an old AMD processor fan/heatsink. I applied some heatsink paste, however, the board is not screwed to the heatsink, its just placed on top of it. Its working!

how about those refunds amir!

you could have posted this 90 pages ago and you wouldnt be seeing all of requesting refunds, you might have even kept my business and saved yourself from all of my fud posts, btw where is my refund?

No order?  Don't let the door hit you on the way out.  I'm glad whiners like you cancelled, I've done business in the past with people like you and the money isn't worth the aggravation.

+1   Getting tired of people whining.

They are called trolls btw not people

Enjoy your refunds children.

Avalon chips inbound,  I'll gladly pay "$1200" for a case if it means supporting Terrahash to build a miner.

They are not making very much on the actual boards/chips.

I'd say that every cancellation means I move up in the queue, but I'm the first order so it doesn't really affect me.

I hope everyone that does move up due to childlike emotional cancellations enjoys watching everyone receive their miners.

I expect them to receive the avalon chips right after BkkCoins gets his board fully functional. Timing seems to work out nicely!

does anyone else think this might be tied to Bitinstant being down?

I'm telling you guys, silent majority of drug buyers keep bitcoin going

but nobody wants to believe me

Possible adaptation of 0coin by an alt coin may prove you sooner than we think...

USD, Euro or even gold are also used in the black market. Do you want bann those too?

Sorry for my ignorance...
Hey you misunderstood what I wrote! I mean that an alt+anonymity will be the new guy in town making BTC obsolete, because I THINK that black market is the main driving force behind cryptos economy...

But I could be wrong...

Legally you have to offer refunds on any product until it ships even if it is made to order.
There are no exceptions, even if it's inconvenient.

You can't rationally claim that these parts were ordered using funds from paypal, because your paypal account was locked at the time, and you ordered some of the parts beforehand.
That invalidates that logic completely.

Terrahash, your policy is violating the FTC rules.

Also, even if you were not violating FTC guidelines, I took snapshots of that page 20 minutes AFTER I ORDERED which were the same as what the image showed that you are disputing. I was protecting my ass incase this came up.

You just lied to us.
No irony in my question - why don't you do something legally then? Sue him, I am serious...

EDIT: If people here think they are scammed they should hire together a lawyer - threats and complaints won't do the trick.

I just filed a complaint with the federal trade commission for violation of the returns rules from http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus02-business-guide-mail-and-telephone-order-merchandise-rule
Interesting - I like moves like these, actions not words!
I wish the best for your interests...
I will act after end of July in case I see no progress.

Investment opportunity should be open in 2 days. We'll be probably on btct.co or bitfunder, details are still being ironed out. Exact number of shares and price will be posted here shortly, probably tomorrow.
So the only way of investing is with bitcoins right?

Maybe these pussies will take some lessons from you kind sir and man the fuck up - if a man with no balls and invisible dick can ever man up...
Cheers and thank you for your help - you actually DO something rather than whining.

Hey atomiccunt, you visited my group sweet! Too bad for you I don't like C girlie male like you.
You seem to like my advices - here's another one: join the army you will find your dream job! They treat so good sweet fat girlie kids like you sweetheart, you make the perfect bitch..
@klee Thank you for useful contribution, This thread is Awesome - where's that popcorn..
You know what is funny? I am so well positioned being an early adopter & miner that I have spread my funds to Bitfury, TH, AMC, ASICMINER, KnC and ready to do so in some more (labcoin, btcgarden etc). So know I watch these crying girls whining losing their funds (though I am sure most of them are payed trolls from competitors)
and can't think what will be more amusing for me:
a) TH being a scam (bye bye orders - a LOT of whining in PUBLIC)
b) TH delivers and they have cancelled (so much crying in PRIVATE I can't stop laughing thinking about it)

Most of them newbies who thought the cryptoland is a buck heaven lmao

Great news!  Any idea yet on the roll out plan for the remaining hash rate pre purchased?

It will take a few weeks to receive all the new hardware from the assembly house, and to install and configure it. They are delivering assembled units twice a week.

So this asics, you wanna share more infos about them? Really interested in this!

Ok. I will go and visit their office on wednesday or thursday. I'm suffering with kidney stones, but I will go and take pictures and video. I originally wanted to go in a couple of weeks to see them "in production". I'll go earlier to quell the mob and preserve my investment. I don't want to get negative, but please do not ride me. I am an ex-cop, martial arts instructor, and veteran forex currency invesment manager. I don't tell you this to puff myself up. I want you to understand who you are dealing with. I don't take well to being pushed by people and I stick by my word. Please be patient for a couple of days and I'll give you guys a report on what I find. One of the main reasons I am doing this, is because I don't want anyone to jeopardize my orders with TH. If I can sooth everyone's nerves and calm you down, maybe you will allow these guys to do what we have paid them to do. I know that they have not been as communicative as many would like. However, could you imagine how stressful it would be to deal with such a high maintenance client base?

When I was trading forex for a living, I used to tell clients not to invest money that they could not afford to lose. Some did not listen to me, and were calling me for updates every day, terrified and needing reassurance. It made me hate my job, and after 10 years, I decided to restrict trading to professional clients alone. This is a risk intensive market we are invested in. If you can't afford to lose the money you're putting into it, I would recommend staying with something safer. "You don't invest your rent money" is what I always used to say. Once again, I am not saying what to do one way or the other, but I am seeing this transaction through. If they come through with my boards in the general time frame promised, I will most likely buy more. Who knows, maybe they will start building BFL based boards in the future if our batches come through. So, please take a breath and wait until I report what I find. I have to restate that I am passing kidney stones. If I can't make it on wednesday due to pain, I will go on thursday for certain. I'll take pics and video. I give you my word. Try to not worry.

I might add that ones most inclined to bitch and whine incessantly are the one's least likely to credit your tip jar for your kindness and effort. I speak from experience here, so I hope you become the exception.

If the guy goes, and casts his experienced eye, and reports back, despite the significant pain he is in, you better at least tip him a drink or two!

It's easy to complain on a forum.
I will tip my first BTC mined with TH to him!

Edit: Special thanks to Klee for providing such a great example in his message prior to mine of how to provide benefit to his investment and provide useful information related to the topic at hand.
It is kLee - so people are whining after they entered a super high risk business?! Oh boy, this is awesome.
I don't care about any strategy/policy everyone chooses. I have no tolerance in people crying being burned in an almost completely unregulated, wild wild west kind of business.

Fight your battle and take losses like a man - that's all.

I asked for a refund. It was ignored. I asked for a refund again. It was ignored.

I made a paypal claim asking for a refund. I was *denied*.

I upgraded it to a dispute. The terrahash site says I have it refunded, but I don't see the money in my paypal account, even as pending.

Well, this is not good. If they say, they will refund you, if you cancel before they ship, they will. Their "ignorance" (speaking in your language), as you see, just makes you more freightened, so you panikct and worse thinkgs up. Dispute as you have read allready, lasts longer to solve, but if they refund case by case, I suggest next time, to be extremelly patient.
Too much estrogen in this thread - maybe this would help some girlie men here:

EDIT:
DISCLAIMER:Before you enter Bitcoin/mining world make sure you wear pants - this is not for pussies. I repeat - pussies stay the f@ck out of here!

That said you will be surprised how much I gained/lossed all these 3 years to various projects I got involved, from exchanges to mining to trading various cryptos.
Never triumphed or whined..
