Jeah, but I would give it some time (and alot of work he have to do) to get there.

But if Dark crashes now, due to the renaming desaster, we need a new comparison indicator then DarkCoin.

But lets take it easy and go step by step and just reach $1 first and stay over it for 6 or 8 weeks or something.
362  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 10, 2015, 10:02:58 PM
Steady over $1, would be the next important step.
Then 50%, then 100% of the DarkCoin marketcap should be the two next ones.

"libunbound error: cant bind socket: permission denied for 0.0.0.0"

I would guess the port cant be bind because its already used/blocked (in the background). Try rebooting IMHO.
Just a wild guess, I dont have Windows.

Muss man abwarten.

Ich füge Dich auf meine Ignoreliste hinzu. Tschüß.

Hope the price will stay at these levels as they are now,out of cash and btc, bought another 1,5btc worth of Dash. Grin

369  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Official Anoncoin chat thread (including history) on: March 10, 2015, 07:47:50 PM
Start a new blockchain! Make a fair launch.

How can changing how nodes communicate can be a hard fork? Why? All other coins can do this without hardk forking.

Can't believe this. There must be millions of copyrights, registered labels and trademarks for such an generic term like "Digital Cash" world wide. (+ all domains taken)

"Digital Cash" would obvious be a perfect/great brand for your project.

- I like the approach of dropping "coin" from the name.
- I think a stronger & better name/brand then "DASH" could have been choosen.
(Dont ask for examples, as I did no research which names/letter-combinations would be avaible & meaningful.)
- DASH is ok. Maybe a "good" choice vs. other crypto currencies with their weird names. Still the name is far away from "very good" or "perfect".

I love the irony that (the old) Dashcoin is a official CryptoNote coin. Smiley

Please elucidate.  Huh
I won't. Because a) so they won't change the decision and b) naming everything public would just encourage XMR/DRK quarreling nobody wants to read.

Maybe Evan want to move to ring singatures. Wink

Most people would say CoinGecko is the best cryptocurrency ranking page. It lists the world's top cryptocurrencies and ranks them based on key aspects such as developer activity, community, liquidity, market capitalization and public interest.

The ranking algo is explained under: https://www.coingecko.com/en/methodology.

+1

The DarkCoin rebranding will be great for us in so many ways.
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero Speculation on: March 10, 2015, 05:06:18 PM
it looks like darkcoin will be rebranded to dash  Grin

sometimes things come better as expected - the only real advantage darkcoin had over monero was that it was here earlier. with the rebranding they even manage to destroy this advantage Smiley
This is great. The first core member (vertoe) already left.

From my POV Dark only real advantage over Monero was/is, that is was RPC-compatible with Bitcoin from the Bitcoin. (Obvious at it was based on the same codebase.)

Wink
