They should of used VNL coin, people stop trusting third parties for payments when we have vanilla coin.
362  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BREAKING: Atlanta based Bitcoin giant BitPay hacked for nearly $2,000,000! on: September 18, 2015, 06:19:25 AM
Instead of trusting third parities for payment we need to start using vanilla coin, sub zero transactions that can't be double spent....BINGO.
363  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNOFFICIAL] VNL | Vanillacoin 0.3.6 Beta | DarkPP/MinerPP/CoinPP | ZeroTime on: September 18, 2015, 05:59:27 AM
Latest on a Chinese exchange?

When the Chinese find out it sends in Zerotime Polinex goons won't be able to hold them back from buying.imo.

VNL needs some momentum whether people like it or not a coins success is tech and marketing, and the best marketing is a rising price. We should target the Chinese market asap.
364  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: September 16, 2015, 02:53:12 PM
There is no good exchange but the problem with Polinex which is really making the market is they almost actively dismiss any long term great projects for easy hypeable coins with no real long term future. Plus it's easy to FUD SC, someone says there are too many coins and the price tumbles.
The amount of coins shouldnt make any difference since even bitcoins are divisible up to a 100 000 000 times. We could just as well argue that there are too many bitcoins. 0.00000001btc is still bitcoin.
Amirite? I've thought about this before, and it always annoys me to see new coins with small supply. Personally I'd much rather buy 100btc for $100 than 0.3 or whatever, because its more convenient.

There is a psycological effect and a trading effect with a small unit of account.
The latter come from the bid/ask spread : while sia is trading in the 10-20 satoshi range, the bid/ask spread is at least  between 5% and 10% since trading in most places doesn't use decimals beyond satoshi. On the other hand, trading in kilo-sia would lead to a range which could be as low as 0.005%-0.01%.
Suppose you bought sia, then latter you want to sell : with stable price, you will loose 5-10% of value.

Now imagine some dips in the 5 satoshis (it has happened to mintcoin) : 20% spread...

Yeah I do agree that when we are trading around 10-20 sats moves are a bit binary and can make any moves in price violent, that can also be good, but  yeah it scares some I think. Far better when rises are smaller and aren't so drastic.....hopefully we will be in the 100's of sats soon so this is less of an issue.

I'm sure many times when someone is fudding they're trying to get people to dump into their buy orders.

I haven't been following SC for long but it seems to have some real potential, how many coins will there be after 1 year? is there a cap

if MINT can hold 15-25 as well as it has with 22 billion coins, then a project like SC should be able to hold much greater value over time HA as long as we don't end up with too many billion

I tend to look at marketcap rather than price which is still very very low.  Because actually supply of coins is a red herring, you can have a trillion coins and be underpriced. The total supply is 4billion I think with some relatively minor inflation annually.

I started buying some vnl, i have been watching it for long, since it was 10k, i missed that train some time ago  Smiley

Now VNL price is 20k,When is the lowest price?

if this coin would had a "dark name" it would be a worth around 0.008.

And if anyone misses out on VNL cause of the name or JC's personality then the joke is on them ultimately...I'm glad there is a dickhead filter on VNL personally.

370  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: September 13, 2015, 08:13:30 AM
I'm using the mac wallet, a few questions.

Do I need sia coins to let my hard drive space be used?

Will it be used instantly or must i wait for it to be actually used?

I'm getting error 400, ensure forward port 9982?

Also apart from coins how can we buy the sia shares or has that boat sailed?
373  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sia - Decentralized Storage - Working Beta - Currency has been released on: September 11, 2015, 03:13:45 AM
Where is the blockchain explorer link?
374  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ] GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays - Live on Android and iOS on: September 09, 2015, 04:02:17 AM
GEMZ is just addon to Telegram it seems...
when i installed it, i got same people as on telegram
Alot more than that
https://docs.google.com/document/d/1a129pSWTDWKWt945Un7NyTxTKPiVq5MjGFLs8mIuZug/edit#heading=h.g39lq9b7eajt

Do Gemzcoins represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network? For instance, if one day Gemz is sold for $1 billion, how much will the Gemzcoins holders get for holding each Gemzcoin? From what I have read, it seems that Gemzcoins holders won't get anything in the above scenario because Gemzcoins donot represent the value/stakes of the Gemz entity/network.

dude if Gemz the app was sold for a billion dollars the coins would be worth a hell of a lot, the coins are what is needed to pay users for using the app. So that would be the last of your concerns.

Sell orders are thin. Many people have already dumped but can VNL go back to 40k again?

Is the Pope Catholic?
376  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][GEMZ] GetGems - Social Messaging App That Pays - Live on Android and iOS on: September 07, 2015, 11:42:45 PM
I've been saying over the last few years that if I can't click on a file, open it and it just works you shouldn't expect anyone to use a coin apart from the 10,000 crypto geeks with IT degrees. So no it doesn't surprise me at all. There is a thinking that younger generation are tech savvy but it's completely false there are the vast majority that are familiar with idiot proof apps and software and a tiny minortiy that has a varying amount of knowledge how things work....a tiny minority. I'm more surprised how much developers assume the average user knows.

I am if honest a little concerned about the airdrop though as I assume creating a secure algorithm for this and for the advertising platform can't be easy. Any feedback in this area possible?
377  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EMUNIE] One small step for transactions, one giant leap for crypto on: September 05, 2015, 02:29:43 AM
There's nothing like a reasoned argument...and that is certainly nothing like one!

There is nothing like a developer using sockpuppet accounts to push their agenda to inspire trust. Lol

Don't even try to deny it.....
378  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we naive in thinking that 'so and so coin' will gain adoption? on: September 04, 2015, 03:57:56 PM
Creating your own currency is about as stupid as you can get so why would they ?

What would be the point ?
All countries already have their own currencies and if that Is not the idea here then so what.. block-chain for what ?

This forum is the den of delusion.
If I start my own currency should I proclaim it's going to rule the world soon ?
That is what ALL of you sound like to me.. same level of ridiculousness  Roll Eyes

The only thing in short supply here is intelligence, honesty and a healthy dose of reality.

To safely negate Bitcoin.....I imagine. Make a digital currency's tell everyone it's legal while a Bitcoin is illegal. Create the supply open ended and say they will add coons to maintain the price of a digital dollar....hey presto the masses swallow it as a safe Bitcoin and the FED and powers that be can all sleep soundly knowing their crimes against humanity can continue.

You are throwing stupid, delusions around quite freely but do you think the powers that be that control the trillion dollar golden egg will just shrug and let Bitcoin take over? Now that is delusional. Will Bitcoin be a threat? Well it already is....
379  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [EMUNIE] One small step for transactions, one giant leap for crypto on: September 04, 2015, 03:48:59 PM
The interest and processing payments are (last I heard) in equal portions meaning they each qualify for 45% of all new emu generated. Furthermore this means that 45% of all new emu created will be given as interest to all account holders based on their portion of the total currency available. This means that while some will probably attempt to short their interest or payments, those who hold will actually be building capital proportional to their holdings.

More precisely the reason why, if this coin does launch, it won't go anywhere.  Go all the way back to March 2013 and people then were saying it was a crackpot mechanism.

We can look at the some-300 inflationary coins since 2013, since most copied inflationary PoW or induced a high PoS with an unlimited supply, and they all got drop like a hot potato.  Inflation is theft.

No one cares what fancy words you use.  At the end of the day eMunie is net inflationary and buyers will stay away once they realize Dan is putting his hand in their pockets.

All this fixation about "supply" and "price" just shows you to be an idiot savant and we already have coins like that out there.  NuBits is one but there's been others.  I should point out they're approaching the garbage bin capitalization and/or been de-listed from exchanges.

Thats a complete misunderstanding of, well, pretty much everything right there.  You have inflationary supply and inflationary value totally mixed up.

Bitcoin itself is inflationary, with regard to the supply, at least until 2140, its the price that is supposed to be deflationary (look how well that has worked for the past 18 months!)

An inflationary supply isn't theft so long as its not taking value from the existing currency in circulation.

If the price of an EMU is $1, and there are 1M in existence, but there is demand for 1M more, if the system does nothing, then the value of an EMU will double.  If the system creates 1M more EMU, then the price remains at $1...the currency is then neither inflationary or deflationary with regard to prices, so please explain how that is theft when everyones EMU still has the exact same purchasing power?

I don't care if you are fucking Satoshi. Coming out with lines like inflationary supply isn't theft....a inflationary supply is fucking the definition of theft. Inflation by definition is theft and inflation by definition is increasing the money supply...If we want this system we can use fiat and the FED...dick.

People love to sound smart and say Bitcoin is inflationary but that's a BS argument. Bitcoin has a limited supply.....just like Gold has a limited supply, that's the point. the fact it is in the process of distributing that fixed supply is NOT the point.
380  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Don't let others fool you Vanilla coins Zerotime is game changing. on: September 04, 2015, 03:40:52 PM
I about sick of everyone FUDing VNL, when there are so many weak projects and coins that deserve that FUD.

You can accept it or not but Zerotime ie sub second safe transactions is the biggest development since Satoshi released Bitcoin.....and no bullshit FUD can't hide that fact.

FUD all you like, you do a disservice to your fellow crypto followers. See if I care scumbags.
