Did I miss pricing etc.? Your site just links to this topic lol

I can only see your 1mps being a real issue IF
1. you have 200 miners all communicating, it could cause issues, than what your looking for is not a proxy. 2. you are using that BW to run netflix, or download etc. if something else eats up all of your BW then the miners can struggle and will show a lower hash rate on your pool.

Hahahaha....
Want to find your own block? get a stick miner, and wait 50-100 years to get lucky.
Or buy a few million in mining gear, and again, wait for a lucky block.
Don't think you can just run a java script and suddenly get your own $20,000 worth of bitcoin overnight.

Are these out yet?

Is there not a better or more efficient and large-scale way to supply power to the miners than by purchasing individual PSU's for each? IF you are talking about a few hundred KW of power on up, then yes using a high DC bus fed from the mains followed by local bus DC-to-12vDC is worth considering. HP, IBM and others all have DC fed 12v PSU's available just for that purpose. The power eff advantage comes from losing all of the the normal input brute-force mains-to-DC and PFC power conversion stages found in each of the normally AC-fed local 12v PSU's. Instead a single several hundred KVA 3-phase transformer with full-wave rectified delta-wye secondary provides what is essentially pure DC with less than 0.7% ripple and no further filtering needed. Typically that high DC bus is around 300vdc or more which is also what the input stage to a normal 208vac PSU feeds to the power conversion stage that make the 12v. Yes. This is exactly the answer I'm looking for. I can't say I fully follow what you are saying, but I think I got the gist. I'll do more research so I can understand properly. For the application I am thinking about, I will be using somewhere around 30-80 kW. Would you say this is too low for me to consider the solution you are suggesting? It would just be nice to avoid purchasing individual PSU's and instead design the electrical distribution system around it. Here's what I'm meaning. 10 of these would be 80kw. I can't even find a single 80kw DC output device to link you... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1667131.0

The cost of the system and rails is REALLY high and not really something to be found used. So more so for a big new build. For your want.. you could get 5 or 6 of the 8kw setups from the guys on here, and be ready to go
Direct DC is not a real option for your needs

Interesting. I mine here because it's transparent, openly managed, and for all appearances over an extended period of time, honest. I don't give a rusty duck about a fancy GUI; I want to see hard numbers and open structure, and that's out front here and not buried. I'm reasonably confident that bad luck is simply that.
I've been doing this for several years. I came here last year. I'm not going anywhere.
Mine on.
I agree, a fancy GUI isn't important to me either, Although a bit more condensed homepage would be nice. I'm just passing on what some of my friends have said, which means others feel it to. Everyone who has done website design etc. Knows that info on a site isn't what pulls everyone in, look layout and feel are a big part, Even if it's irrelevant to the purpose.

I have a Batch 2 R4 that stopped hashing on one board, Miner status page still shows circles and not x, but very high HW on the board not hashing. Any ideas?
Same here. Below Bitmain advice on the issue: Mine also do not light up tiny red LED at the end of faulty board (opposite connectors). Sorry I am too lazy to check my R4B2. Mine just stopped hashing this morning where GH/s(RT) read 0 but everything else looked correct. Every share was rejected. Tried switching pools via MRR, no improvements. Tried flashing 1202 fw, it errored out and i freaked out too. but it rebooted itself and now everything's back up right.
I don't know what to say about these rigs. I hope they are of decent quality.
Lucky you - mine shows same (GH/s(RT) read 0) but several flashing went ok with no change. My R4 B2 has been up hashing for 1d6h1m46s So far, the only number I see that looks out of place is the HW number on the second board. GH/S(RT) HW Temp(Chip1) Temp(Chip2) 4,021.15 12 82 72 4,032.14 785 68 72 What does HW stand for? I checked the owners manual, and found no reference to it. Thanks Errors and while it seems bad it is pretty good number for 30 hours. Check and see if it does a 800 hw a day pace. 12 is super good number but 800 a day is still good Thanks philipma1957 & VRobb. Any idea why this Kano.is pool seems to be shrinking at what looks to be an alarming rate? as of 3:20 AM 12/15/2016 Users: 869 Workers: 7008 This data makes it look like the pool is in a downward spiral... https://www.kano.is/index.php?k=blocksor is it just me being a mining noob & reading the above data the wrong way? Kano's luck the last month has sucked, hard, so people are ditching ship. Like rats off a floating one etc. lol Hopefully it turns The overall average is always high on the long run.

Are there any controllers that are compatible with Antminers (specifically the s-9) such as a rasbperry pi?
I've only known the raspberry pi that are compatible with the Antminer and my friend is using it with his Antminer U3 why would you want other controller if you had known the raspberry pi? And if you are planning on running more than one Bitcoin miner at the same time, it is best to use a powered USB hub. Take into account the power rating as mining will need a lot of power, as much as one mp per miner. I'm unsure what you just told him? what does a usb hub have to do with anything on the antminers??? As for controller, I believe the stock one CAN control 9? or was it 12? boards? So you could basterdize them. Maybe if the op gave a bit more info on what they are after out of this question? As for directly plugging boards into a pi, No that's not possible.

Want more Blocks?
Shift the hash power from other pools to here.
Bring in more people.
Slush increased from 84 PH in Jul to 150 PH now antpool increased from 330 PH/s in Jul to 440 PH now btc.com get 130 PH from Sep to now kano is the only pool decreased in this period of time from 43 to 29 now we can't get people to pool they are not convinced by Not to put Kano down, as I know bells a whistles mean nothing. But I've tried bringing a few friends over and they honestly won't leave slush because of the slick and shiny UI, I realize on the pure mining side of things.. that means very little... As well bitmain has a large market due on part to their own mining, as well as many noob miners buy an antminer, see antpool and just go with it, with no further thought or looking into it. A shiny interface would help a bit but I realize could be pricey. I don't need shiny, however a responsive UI that doesn't require me to login every 30 minutes to refresh stats, and getting more stats on one page. Would help.. A bit.. at least for attracting people who go towards shiny things.

Been on the pool for about a week. Only two small payouts, wondering if this is normal? slush was paying out a pretty decent daily amount. I'm all for supporting the little guy, but I'm out about $40 so far that I would of gotten elsewhere

I'll take 2 sticks, likely 3 pods when ever they appear

A pdu does not provide power, Servers in server farms have their own internal power supplies. Miners are external, the PDU is just a large fancy power bar. Some times with remote control ability.
They are not use much because they are just an expensive power bar so many people od not require them.

Hi I am also interested in mining but not online mining to invest in some sites i am interested how much mining equipment i need to make 1 million $ per year and how much is mining earn money roi % with own equipment.
Lol, not sure if trolling....

This seems a well done scam site, but who knows, anyone got more info?

It may be the wireless with that distance, So either get a extender and more cord.
Or I've heard of setting up a PC to act as a pool for your miner's which is then tied to a pool. Never tried it. But then you are effectively only pushing one signal to the house.
Other option may be a bigger wireless repeater.
But wired is the way to go! Likely to many packets of similar info for it to handle..

2 or 3 pods for me, i'll be in southern Ontario next month. Maybe more/other stuff depending on prices.
Added but like Biodom said, this is futur project. If you want stick or pod with Bitmain chips go check the thread. You doing a group buy for them? the sticks don't appeal to me.. solo mining meh. Really hoping/waiting on these and the new pods.

After 2 days of mining I turned both R4 off to just to put power usage meter in line. When powered back one hash board died... need to send whole R4 unit back for repair They want whole unit? seems a bit much.. won't let you just send the one board?

Yeah for sure. I don't know how much time VH has put into this honestly, but it's been a lot. I've been feeding him raw HEX dumps and kernel logs and he's somehow making enough sense of it to have pretty much completely reverse-engineered how S5s handle chip communications, even some of the hairy particulars. None of the projects discussed in this thread would have gotten very far without his labors.
I understand it's a pain, but maybe updating the original post with data/prices/updates as you go would save a lot of repeat questions? I follow the thread but still miss or forget stuff Hassle but may save some time. lol

my order was due to arrive today 40 minutes ago. but fedex site has it in Hong Kong as of 9 hours ago.
So it will most likely arrive 1 day late.
This will be my first auto tune gear. For the s9
Tipping your toes back into the S9's Phil? If you have any questions I have been running four of them for a while. 11/29 is the latest firmware. Takes 7 minutes to boot so be patent. Really kicks the hashrate up nicely. Fans spin fairly slowly so it seems quieter. Likes to run warm. I even got a autotune replacement board for my regular s9. If I run the autotune firmware. Are you running the latest on the Autotune? I back dated mine to stop it from ramping up and down so damn much, does the latest still do this? For the autotune units 11/29 runs well. For 14 days now. Did it get rid of that up down howl the machine is known for?
