381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cash on: November 23, 2017, 07:10:29 PM
You cannot get bitcoin cash from your purchased bitcoin anymore. That option was when the hard forked happened. The only way to get bitcoin cash is to purchase them from exchanges.

I heard MaxKeiser on the Keisereport say that Bitcoin cash is a fake coin!
I agree with this. Bitcoin cash is nothing but a sh!t coin trying to sabotage bitcoin. Be careful when purchasing it because you can be a victim of pump and dump.

382  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin in a bubble right now? on: November 22, 2017, 06:19:09 PM
I know to waiting for the bubble to burst is wiser for better profits but if it is not a bubble? People wait for the bubble to burst but may wait until there is no chance.

Just like the people who said bitcoin was a bubble when it reached 1000 early this year and did not invest. Then 2K, they thought  it is still a bubble and blow their chance for 400% profit.

8K is already high, but I think bitcoin has still a lot of room to grow in terms of price. It may have a correction but we cannot tell for certain it will happen. I say buy now, if it corrects, hold and buy more. If it surge farther up, enjoy the profit.
383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How high bitcoins can go? on: November 22, 2017, 12:31:20 PM
If the trend continues and there is no negative news from china to pull the price back down, it will reach above 10K by January next year. But I always expect something that will pull the price down when bitcoin is in a bull trend. It always does happen and almost always China is involved in it. Maybe another exchange gets "hacked"?

385  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is better? trading crypto or trading stocks? on: November 18, 2017, 06:07:56 AM
It is both lucrative but crypto have some advantages over trading stocks. You can easily start trading crypto and takes only a little time to Setup and start trading. You can start trading with small amount unlike in stocks. It is also currently unregulated so you can trade almost anonymously. There are lots of cryptos you can choose from to trade and some can gain profit within a few hours upon purchase. But you have to be wary in trading crypto because the price can dump in a few minutes without warning. That is the risk you have to take.
386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Its possible bitcoin going down under 7K this weekend? on: November 18, 2017, 05:03:31 AM
It is a good time to buy because you already know that the price can get pass 8K. Even if the price gets lower than 7.6K, you already know it will still recover and can get back to the current ATH. If you are a going for long term investment it won't be a problem for you.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin Investing Question on: November 18, 2017, 01:47:39 AM
What is the difference with bitcoin that you already own and the bitcoin you will buy with cash? Nothing. It is the same bitcoin, from the same blockchain, having the same price. So whether you buy a new one, or use the old bitcoin that you have, it will still purchase the same amount of altcoins.

You just have to know whether your alt is going up in the future or not. If yes, then buy them and sell them when they made you some profit.

I think you are over thinking the wrong point. Instead of contemplating whether to use newly purchased bitcoin or not, you should polish your trading skills, learn how to read graphs, know where to find the right info and join the right group for insight on the right alts to trade.
388  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading on: November 17, 2017, 10:18:24 PM
You should have large amount of bitcoin to make day trading worthwhile because the movement is just a few pips and you have to cover charges and everything. Maybe a 5 to 10 BTC would be enough to make a decent daily earnings from trading.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I sell BTG ? on: November 17, 2017, 08:25:34 PM
BTG is nothing more than a poor attempt to make profit from the free coins from the fork, like what happened to bitcoin cash. So if you have some bitcoin gold, you can sell it right away while it still have value. There is no use holding a coin which does not have a future anyway.
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum haven't really moved.. on: November 17, 2017, 06:42:47 PM
First, bitcoin uptrend is somehow affecting ethereum and other alts from progressing. It is halting the grow of alts because investors cannot turn away from lucrative profit from bitcoin surge.

Another is that ethereum may have lost some of investors confidence because of the bugs that is showing up and the recent incident with the parity code. I think ethereum may need to look into those serious things before it can move forward again.
391  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin investment at a time like this on: November 17, 2017, 03:24:47 PM
Bitcoin price is about to peak, if you want to make profit, you can try to short it when  you noticed that it is about to make a correction. Then buy back again. It is the only way I can think that can maximize your profit  from what you have except from holding long term.
392  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Won BTC Cash battle? on: November 17, 2017, 01:31:06 PM
This is known from the very start, bitcoin cash can never compete with bitcoin. But I doubt it will be over, there will still be attempts from bitcoin cash to overthrow bitcoin or lure bitcoin miners to mine bitcoin cash instead. If ever that happens again, I hope newbies will not fall to their trap again. I hope they learned their lessons this time.
393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you still buy Bitcoin? on: November 17, 2017, 12:38:22 PM
You can always buy bitcoin because it is a good investment. If you are worry of the price, you can cost average when buying bitcoin so you will always have the best price. That is you do not buy everything at once, but only a portion. Then if the price goes down, you buy some more. If it goes up you can choose to buy more or not.
394  Economy / Exchanges / Re: poloniex account security on: November 17, 2017, 08:58:57 AM
How would you tell your 2fa to someone? I mean you'd have to send them the code every time you request a withdrawal, which would defeat the purpose. I mean the code expires after some time so the thief would have to literally steal your phone (or just the sim card) before hacking into your account and requesting withdrawal. It's much harder to do than hacking an email.

You can share your qr codes to a person and store it to his authenticator. Then he have a copy of your 2FA.

I think OP know the risk of sharing his accounts but I still will not recommend it to him. That is too much risk and the only protection he have left is his email which can be easily hacked or phished.
395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin towards to $8000 on: November 17, 2017, 04:37:55 AM
8000$ is not hard to reach anymore and we are actually almost there. It touched it once already, it won't be hard for bitcoin to continue the trend and go past 8000$. I am amazed how the price of bitcoin gets getting higher and higher amidst all the problems it is facing. But that has always been the case with bitcoin, it keeps rising even against all the detractors and problems.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How would you portion $100K in various crypto? on: November 16, 2017, 09:58:11 PM
I would also allocate some funds to promising ICO out there, so maybe 20% of it for ICO. Get in early, get the big bonses and dump while the price is still high. 50% for bitcoin and ETH, and 30% spreadout to the other coins on top ten in market cap.
397  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Paper wallet / Cold Wallet on: November 16, 2017, 08:50:44 PM
Wow, this actually helped me. The OP has the same question as mine. I've been meaning to find out the difference and where to find the best wallet. I'm from the Philippines also and I use coins.ph. It's good to know that it's reliable. Thank you

NO, it is not reliable and it is not safe. You do not hold your private keys in coins.ph that is why you cannot be really sure about the safety of your bitcoin. Do not store bitcoins, long term, in exchanges.

Cold wallet is already good security but if you have large funds stored, having a hardware is a better option.
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin or Ethereum: Which is the Future Cryptocurrency on: November 16, 2017, 05:56:09 PM
I used to assume before now that bitcoin is the all and all of crypto, maybe because discovered bitcoin before other cryptos like ethereum. But over time, that assumption is at the verge of being reversed. This is because i now discovered that apart from being a means of exchange, ethereum also has the power of smart contract. Which do you think is better and has great future?

ETH could have been better if they have a good quality check before sending out their codes. ETH keeps having bugs just like the recent parity issues. That is what makes ETH inferior before bitcoin. It may have an advantage when it comes to smart contract but I cannot fully trust ETH because of those bugs and errors. Bitcoin is still way better.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: can you make a livin in crypto on: November 16, 2017, 12:50:42 PM
If you have the right skills, you'll find working in crypto as lucrative as working in jobs in the office. The advantage is that you control your own time and mostly you do not have a boss to answer to. You can work at home and do not have to suffer heavy traffic.
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You can now buy appliances with BTC!!! on: November 16, 2017, 06:19:49 AM
This is really good news for bitcoin. Since stripe is handling the payment processing, other companies can also easily adopt in accepting bitcoin as payment. This can easily become a trend in online shopping.
