381  Economy / Economics / Re: surprise 2018 on: March 09, 2018, 08:02:31 PM
The price is going to fall a lot because on this year MT box exchange is dumping all their Bitcoins which is nearly 1 billion dollar. So I think this upcoming month is a very good time to buy some Bitcoins because the price is going to fall eventually but after some month the price is going to rise again and we all are going to get some profit from this.

And you are a great example of how well informed the community is. A hero member, registered in 2015, doesn't even know the name of one of the biggest scam crypto exchange in history. MT box exchange, ladies and gentlemen! Cheesy
Anyway, this is certainly one of the reasons for the decline, but the Gox money were being sold since December! They sold 8000 BTC in that month and the price kept going up anyway, so I doubt that their sales re the only reason for the drop. It just doesn't make sense.

I think it has more to do with governments regulations. If we take our present time and compare it to last year (when BTC was constantly increasing), the difference is that last year adoption was increasing nicely and without governments interference but then news started spreading too much information about BTC and its price, what called undesirable attention from governments that prepared their offensive against Bitcoin's decentralization. Then once the regulations came, the investors retreated, the demand dropped and the price collapsed.

Some people may say it's just pure correction because the price was too expensive, but at this point I think we had already time for correction, so the price should be increasing again, at least slowly. It doesn't mean it's the end of Bitcoin, seems just that the investor's profile is going to change. The mass loves centralization, they will join soon. While the pioneers I don't know...

However it's just a speculation, on most of times  the real reasons why things happen don't come to public, we don't know what is really causing the fluctuations in price.
382  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware of Twitter Scammers on: March 09, 2018, 07:06:53 PM
"send .02 BTC and get triple"

I think anyone who says things like that shouldn't be taken seriously... Doesn't matter if they have the "blue verification" or not, it's not real... Maybe that is a new niche people have found to make profit, to sell verified accounts to scammers. But come on, it's very easy to avoid such scammers, just don't send money to them and you will be fine, ignore these offers or report to Twitter.

There are more sofisticated scams on the internet and about those you really need to take extra precautions.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where and which part of day do you gamble? on: March 09, 2018, 06:28:59 PM
Hi guys!
Many casinos have mobile friendly GUI and nowadays you can gamble and place your bets literally from anywhere and anytime you want to. So my question is simple. Where and when do you usually gamle? Do you ever gamble at work or your home? Is there any specific part of the day (week) when do you gamble?? Why? Do you think there is some ideal place and time?
Feel free to discuss and let us know Smiley)

i used to gamble everywhere and since i mostly gambled dice it was super easy to do it anywhere, i can just open up a new tab and let the betting run automatically and only check the result of my strategy.
but i have been becoming more conservative and been trying to gamble less so these days i am mostly sticking to making bets whenever i am home and have some free time.

Usually i see mostly gamblers have no specific timing to play gambling, whenever we have extra time and money on pocket then start to play gambling, in this way dice is best option to play it and get fun. But mostly professional level gamblers who always want to win in game they play when no one disturb them, like in poker.
But about me, I like to play gambling any time only at home, it is my started of gambling career and it will be ended of my gambling career to play gambling with bitcoin online gambling.
- In short, most gamblers will gamble when they feel they have free time and excitement, and I think this usually happens at night and on holidays because this is about the time that I believe most gamblers usually very focused, they are not bothered. Myself, I also fell into that situation but when I realized I became tired, exhausted then angry and lose money, I stopped gambling immediately, the darkness really leads us to the dark paths, if we do not escape at the right time, we will sink in the darkness forever

Excuse me to correct but I think, once a gambler feels that they want to gamble, any time of the day is not an excuse for them to do what they really want. Most gamblers, especially those who are addicted in gambling, do not spare time for other agendas, instead,  they reserve most of their time in gambling. Quite disappointing but that's exactly what and how they choose gambling over other much more important times.

Yes, because they have lost the ability to control their emotions and impulses. Every addiction follows the same pattern and a very common characteristic among all of them is sudden desires at any part of the day, that along the time can't be controlled anymore if the gambler isn't strong enough. It's not advisable to gamble everyday and anytime, because on long term it becomes problematic...
384  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you believe is needed for crypto currencies to be mass adopted? on: March 09, 2018, 05:47:56 PM
IMO for bitcoin to be mass adopted and be appealing to the average people, strong but not atiff regulations should be imposed in orther for them to gain confidence in using or storing bitcoin. Out of all the people I asked, especially friends and colleagues, one of the main reasons why they are scared to get in to crypto is because there are no safety nets in case bitcoin stumbles, and government intervention and authority over crypto is what they feel would work out as a net, though that wouldn't save them from a failed investment.

So to migrate to a decentralized financial system they feel like it should have some centralization before?
This way we would be using something very similar to fiat.

Maybe that is indeed what the masses want. People aren't prepared for a decentralized financial system yet, so they won't be part of it unless it become centralized. I believe that is the main point, power consumption's story is just a hype created now to have something else negative to say about Bitcoin.
385  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: March - bullish month? on: March 09, 2018, 04:42:36 AM
The difference is that last year there weren't so many greedy governments poking their nose in Crypto-Currency world. Fud, hoax always existed and I have never seen it affecting BTC a lot like now, so there are probably another reasons behind and I don't doubt governments intromission is one of them.
The recipe of success was used last year, if we follow it paying attention to the details once more, Bitcoin can start rising again...
386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Any prediction for the Bitcoin? on: March 09, 2018, 03:07:31 AM
Price predictions seem to be pure speculation, but the general trend should be increasing.
Too much negative press lately so, in order for it to go up largely, there will need to be a series of positive news.

It's hard to hear positive news these days as each new day more and more countries talk about regulations and bans.
Seems it's one of the reasons why BTC is so weak these days, regulations and centralization. Investors don't want this and when they see it's inevitable, they retreat, the market retreats and all Crypto-Currencies lose value.
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: For those saying Bitcoin is doomed... on: March 09, 2018, 01:06:10 AM
The previous statistics are nice and still shows Bitcoin as a positive investment on long term besides the losses in price, but you can't consider these same events will keep happening like previously and say people they will have the chance to make X profit in Y time. It can happen or it can never happen anymore, or it can happen tomorrow or only in several months... Everything can happen and everything is very unpredictable until an event suddenly appears and affect BTC's price. I don't believe in patterns here.

So the point is, I know newcomers bought at the peak and are crying now, but DON'T SELL AT A LOSS ,

That could help BTC start bumping again without big losses in price meanwhile, but investors are applying another strategy: sell during the dump, buy again when it reaches the floor. It's every man for himself during the dumps... In the end, holders lose the chance to make fast profit thinking bigger, on long term.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Richest profession or hobby in the future of bitcoin? on: March 08, 2018, 11:33:56 PM
Profession? Is thievery a profession/hobby? Unless these hackers work against thieves I wouldn't call it a profession or hobby. It can be indeed very profitable if the hacker is skilled, but it never ends well when you take something that doesn't belong to you, there are serious consequences not only on the human law's sphere, but in a superior sphere as well.

Temporarily these thieves can think they are very successful, and they will indeed enjoy this money and their status, but on long term they will surely regret about doing this... Unfortunatelly, I believe in the future virtual crimes will become more common and it will help to spread fear among people when dealing with Crypto-Currency.

Let's not focus more on the unethical hackers. There are two types of hackers. Ethical and unethical hackers. If you're a white hat (ethical hacker), you can help the government to develop systems to trace or fight against unethical hackers.
https://www.quora.com/Is-hacking-a-profession

Thinking from the ethical hackers perspective, it's already a very profitable "profession". Many of these skilled people are already employed in some governments and they are very helpful not only tracking thieves, but spying another nations too. These guys have high status in government's agencies, respect from their countries authorities and a lot of money, but in many cases they can't tell others what their profession is. And the importance of such "workers" in every country is increasing year by year as technology is developed.

However some people will say these hackers are unenthical as well, because some government's tasks aren't so ethical by some points of view... Like when spying people and foreigner nations, for an example.
389  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 08, 2018, 09:42:15 PM
To use free earnings to gamble at FreeBitco.in isn't a good idea in my opinion. You will need to claim a lot until you have a decent bankroll to start gambling, unless you are very lucky and hit some nice prizes like 0.002-0.02 BTC.

It doesn't worth the risk to play with a small bankroll. You won't make much profit and you will be risking your money a lot with high house edge...
And then, all your progress claiming satoshis for days, weeks, months will be over. Better to let it generating passive income.

There is no guaranty that you will make money even if you play with either decent bankroll or huge bankroll because in this game you must need a luck to make money and particularly this site has got higher house edge 5% so your chances are even less.

If you just want to play this game for fun then it doesn't matter and you can play with any bankroll to spend your free time but not for making money.

On short term there are more chances we can make more profit with a bigger bankroll, with a bigger base bet. Anyway I agree with you, more chances aren't a guarantee of profit and on long term it won't make any difference... The risk is part of this game, but sometimes we should think what is better: to play several sessions with a relatively small bankroll or just one session with a decent bankroll?

Just taking the opportunity, many people complain about FreeBitco.in's house edge and FreeBitcoin's team likes to open promotions often, wouldn't it be possible to decrease house edge sometimes? Maybe for 1-2 days, like RP promotions for an example...
390  Economy / Speculation / Re: what will happen on: March 08, 2018, 09:01:05 PM
Well , in the first place i dont   think that Bitcoin will fall down so much , its possible to drop to $ 5000k but to drop to 1000$? Small chances for that to happen. But if that's gonna happen , I have no idea if it's gonna recover from that drop , but like I saw until now Bitcoin is always recover after a big drop  . Like now , bitcoin dropped from $ 19k to to 6000k  and know it's begin to recover really fast , its already raised up to 12k . And my answer to your question is YES , bitcoin could recover from that 1000$

Well we said that bitcoin will not fall below $10K but it did. And then it falls even deeper at $5K-$6K range. So everything is possible. But I do hope that it won't get as low as $1K though.

But if ever it would happen, then this could be consider as a GOLDEN opportunity once more to stash and accumulate more bitcoin.

And its another work for us to work at that $12K barrier again. We have been in this predicament many times in the past and overcome it. And this mental barrier is no exceptions.

Yes, everything is possible, but it's not a good signal for Bitcoin. If Bitcoin drops too much it's a clear signal Bitcoin has lost too much strength, demand. Signal that people have left Bitcoin, and when an event like this happens, it's hard to have faith that the currency will rise again.
If BTC drops near $1000 I'm not sure if it would be a golden chance, as the price would probably stagnate and to invest hoping to make profit from the volatility would be very risky. But some people would keep using Bitcoin, not mainly as speculative investment, but as currency (also investing the BTCs in something else, but not expecting profit only from BTC's fluctuations in price).

392  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Men only. Are you daring enough to have a boob job to complete a bet? on: March 08, 2018, 06:30:26 PM
This is a perversion and there isn't money on this world that would make it worth to be done.
Money runs out and this bizarre story remains forever.
393  Economy / Economics / Re: Five common mistakes made by Bitcoin users on: March 08, 2018, 04:52:30 PM
I fully agree with the top 5; plus I can add - 'treating bitcoin as an investment vehicle'
I do not see anything wrong with treating bitcoin as an investment vehicle yes I know that bitcoin is currency but all the currencies of the world are also investments why bitcoin should be any kind of exception to this rule besides if you see the movements of bitcoin over the long term, the profits it generates then thinking that bitcoin is an investment vehicle is the most logical conclusion.

All the currencies of the world are unprofitable investments.  Cheesy

I think here Bitcoin is the exception. While all the fiat currencies showed to be unprofitable, Bitcoin showed itself very valuable and profitable on long term, using the volatility at your favour. Bitcoin can be a currency, but as investment is works too, so I think the mistake made by some Bitcoin users it to close their eyes to this fact...
394  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeNEM.com - FREE NEM Faucet, Claim Every Hour, 50% Ref Comm, INSTANT W/D on: March 08, 2018, 04:26:30 PM
if anyone got paid, please post here to inform us. thx, better if there is payment proof

I suggest you to not waste your time with this faucet:

Status updated, it says I was paid, but I didn't receive any payment and the txid doesn't exist.

Similar situations were related on their Twitter page for days. In another cases transactions have failed.

And as you can see here, no one from this faucet's team concerned about coming here to answer doubts and update its users about the faucet's payment status that was/is problematic.

395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Every cryptocurrency price is going down.... on: March 08, 2018, 03:27:18 AM
When BTC falls, usually all the market falls together and we see all those red numbers. Another correction came and BTC wasn't able to overcome the resistance level that is near $11.600-$11.700. Bitcoin needs more strength to go up again, otherwise we will continue losing all the progress made in few days in few hours.

About this particular dump, however, I have seen it's because there was FUD about an exchange being hacked and because an announcement from SEC (Securities and Exchange Commission from the USA) asking for more regulations scared investors that didn't react well.

Tried to withdraw today. Pending for several hours already. Many complainments about faucet's payments on their Twitter page.

Different from what FAQ's page says, there isn't instantly withdraw.

If you do handle this way then you are just totally wasting up your precious time on accumulating faucet just on tending to play and hope for hitting up jackpots. Slim chances but there are people who did it actually but we should not think off that we would hit those numbers because this would really push you harder and totally wasting up your time on claiming and soon you will waste it out for a couple of bets which isn't really worth at all. This is a normal thing to happen but yet people still love to claim faucets and I don't know why.

Lotteries in general give even lower chances to people hit a prize and people still play it in a daily/weekly basis, so I think it worths a try at FreeBitco.in's faucet every hour. It's free, has better chances than lottery and I just need to click once at roll button... The only thing I regret is about not using this faucet more frequently years ago when the rewards were higher. Comparing those rewards to currently's BTC price I would have made a lot of profit.

Now I try to enjoy maximum as possible because BTC can skyrocket in the future and these earnings from faucets, even if not jackpots, will worth a lot.
398  Other / Off-topic / Re: education and morality on: March 07, 2018, 09:58:10 PM
Morality is needed for the correct progress of any society. Nowadays there are many educated people without morality, I agree, and I also think it's very dangerous because these people don't have scrupulous and use their intellect to harm people and even nations in different ways.

I believe the only way to change this reality is giving positive examples to others. And the example must come from superior instances: in a country, the examples comes from the leader (president, first minister, etc...), in a family the example comes from the patriarch and matriarch, in a job the example comes from the boss, etc... This way people will see the advantages of following morality patterns, because they will have successful examples to follow.

The essence of this question isn't at schools, at churches, at offices, at meetings... But inside each one of us and we must find strength to rescue these moral values internally and pass it to others until it becomes a long solid chain.
399  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: March 07, 2018, 08:40:01 PM
Yeah, HE only means you are going to lose your money faster on average. You may choose to play at freebitco.in because you like it for other reasons.

And I think the lottery tickets and reward points they give you when playing the multiply game decrease HE, am I right?

They don't change the house edge in a statistical sense but when making a comparison between sites you need to factor in the giveaways and bonuses. Reward points and lottery tickets have a value, then there is the multiply bonus and free roll bonus as well. Some other sites have jackpots, deposit bonuses etc. Just saying 'don't use this site because it has a high house edge' isn't taking in to account all factors.

I'm still suggesting people don't gamble with deposited money on this site until they reduce the house edge. Because on each roll you're losing almost 4% extra money directly. Those indirect benefits are not very attractive for the amount people pay to a site. In the lottery, unless you win those lottery tickets are waste. Based my experience there are plenty of people still waiting to win at least once since they introduced this lottery system. So those free lottery tickets may not be worth for the 4% amount you pay for each roll.

yes for some people to have this huge house edge will never make them happy because of the long term playing. But some of them even can get profit through this huge house edge site, not just from their hi-lo games but even on their lottery. However, i do not really know how they are doing it but I just wait for my time to claim this huge 1st prize. And about those. And btw what are you suggesting for the players? Just claiming from faucet and try to win it by using free money? I just wondering if it is possible thing to do or not

400  Economy / Economics / Re: Evolution of Money on: March 07, 2018, 08:00:05 PM
Money has never evolved on its essence, it was always the same, what changed were the technology and the appearances along the centuries. It was always a necessary and useful tool in societies to make people's lives easier and organized, but it's only worthful since the money serve the ideals and not the ideals serve the money. Only this way we can reach the "promised land", as the article says.
