1341  Economy / Economics / Re: WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU HAVE A NASTY DIVORCE AND A FAT BTC WALLET? on: October 03, 2017, 07:39:59 PM
If the hypothetical wife or husband was an asshole and don't know about the fat BTC wallet I wouldn't give any satoshi to this person. If it was something you have built by yourself on the internet and this person didn't help you anyway, why to share the Bitcoins?

But if there were children involved on the story I would give some BTCs because of the children, that is a responsability people must have even they aren't married anymore.
1342  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is not gambling on: October 03, 2017, 05:48:55 PM
I don't know why people say bitcoin is gambling. Its not gambling. You are investing your money and time. You use your internet. So its not gambling dealing with it.
well it's depend on how you use bitcoin. when you investing to some of crypto with blind eyes i can call it gambling because you do investing based on fortune. but if you investing with do some research, analysis and good consideration. that's what i call beauty of trading
I can say that it depends on the opinion of every user or person because of they haven't have the right background or knowledge about bitcoin then I guess they will tell whatever they like about it. But for me I cannot see anything that we can consider bitcoin to be a gambling because also it depends how you use it, for or for bad.

Bitcoin isn't gambling. Depending how you are spending Bitcoins doesn't make Bitcoin = Gambling. You will be just gambling with Bitcoins, what is different. Bitcoin is just a virtual currency. As currency you choose if you spend it or if you hold.

The actions you execute with Bitcoin can be classified as gambling, not the currency itself.
1343  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to know the people behind the investment scheme that the real intention was on: October 03, 2017, 05:28:27 PM
You may see many investment option when surfing online on several sites related to BTC. There are many banners with 1%, 2%, 3% profit daily, this kind of thing. Some days after you see there is another banner, with the same offers, but it's a different site.

I believe all these site's owners are the same guys, going out and coming back. It's not impossible to find who they are, but a common internet user doesn't have the skills to do this, what means the common investor of Ponzi schemes have no way to know who these guys are, so they feel free to continue running their schemes without fear to be caught.

But if someday they lure a big guy, there is a high chance they will be hunted until the end and will regret about scamming others on the internet...
1344  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: October 03, 2017, 04:45:09 PM
Since I looked bitcoin value in dollar so yes it's affect my gambling habit when bitcoin value getting expensive.
I'm wonder if someone able still bet 1 btc per bet just like happen on three years ago, but yes...when you want profit, dare to take the risk or you got nothing !

I bet proportionally to the Dollar price too, so it affects my game a lot and more than this, when I see BTC price is too volatile I prefer to don't gamble, better to wait the prices become stable again, the volatility can bring a nice opportunity of guaranteed profit that gambling doesn't offer us, so it would be a waste of BTCs to gamble while the prices are changing too much.

I think there are some crazy guys that still bet 1 BTC sometimes at once. $4000 is nothing for millionaires/billionaires.  Cheesy
1345  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Any tips for making a few Satoshis on freebitco.in on: October 03, 2017, 03:51:50 PM
FreeBitco.in house edge is too high, better to don't use any trick there because the chances of the tricks work are lower than on another casinos. Also, if your goal is to earn money you shouldn't gamble, gambling is a activity for who has already money and wants fun, it's not a method to earn money.

The best way to earn extra satoshis there is referring other people to generate comission for you. If you are able to do it, it could be interesting to use the comission you earned to gamble and see what happens, at least you won't be losing your own money...
1346  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is Shared When Paying with Bitcoin? on: October 01, 2017, 04:17:53 PM
Do you want to create a Bitcoin wallet to buy Bitcoins with real money?

If you want to convert fiat (real money) to Bitcoin you will need to show your personal informations on the respective site.
I use only local exchange (to convert fiat to BTC and BTC to fiat) and I have had to show them my informations...
Yes, trying to convert real money to Bitcoin then sign up for a access to an online site. I use a fake name and throw away email address for the online site so I do not want them to have my real name and email when I pay them for access to their site.

I don't know if it's possible. If you want to convert real money to BTC you will need a bank account/credit card, what means they will see your real name, documents, informations, etc... That is the traditional method to buy Bitcoins that I know. Fake info wouldn't help.

If there is another one, wait for more replies.

(Talking about Exchange and not Online Wallet).
1347  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: October 01, 2017, 04:13:32 PM
I'm muslim. For me it's sin absolutely. Because Kuran doesn't let it. Undoubtedly, for my religion gambling is devil's trick. By gamble devil make breaks between people, and keeps away people from worship and their religion. But I think on other religions playing on casino sites is not sin. In general, no benefit from gambling.
Your religion is trying to protect you from gambling problems. If you are taught for your own benefit then you may or may not follow some belief. But if it is being taught in the name of God then definitely you will obey to that. Gambling is a thing, every human must avoid, when it is categorized as sin then we should not touch for any reasons.
While most people can gamble and suffer no ill consequences of doing so, there is a small minority that will suffer the consequences and that is why religious authorities try to protect them with rules like that but unfortunately for those that cannot control themselves most of the time the rules are not followed.
Religion shouldn't be a general reason i guess ,
Take it personally and we might good to go to discuss about this ,
When you have a strict environtment around you about gambling then just obey it ,
Gambling is a sin or not are your own responsibility , just don't harm people .

If you are religious, or if you feel you have a religion, then you have to do everything and treat everything based on religion. Because if you ignore the rules of religion it is the same as you do not believe in your religion. If you want to gamble, then you should know the gambling law on your religion. Once you know it, then it's up to you, just make sure you continue it or not.
yes no doubt that it is too much important to me in my religion gambling is not legal and therefore it is consider as sin. but I can see that still a lot of people are playing gambling arguiging that they are playing gambling for fun and enjoyment only, but I do not think that there is any fun and enjoyment in bitcoin if money is not involve there.

If gambling is forbidden in your religion, then whatever your purpose in gambling is still a sin. Because sin can not turn into no sin Just because you do not consider it a sin. That's worse than when you do not know if Gambling is a sin. If you already know gambling is a sin And you're still Gambling, it's your business, you're taking a risk.
If we are talking on religious aspect we would really able to say that gambling is really a sin and as you said even how matter we said that its not a sin since it been told their that committing such thing is a sin then it already been considered and you cant really avoid such thing.

Religions just protect the weak people who can't think for themselves, so they need a religion to tell them what to say and think about their existence and about what to do or not on this life. There wouldn't be problems in gambling if everyone were mentally strong, but religions forbid it because they know weak people will be consumed by the game and will lose everything. Strong people could gamble and stop anytime without problems.

For me the addiction is a sin, but normal, aware gambling not.
1348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can be a key for us to become successful person? on: October 01, 2017, 05:10:52 AM
People think about Bitcoin like a magical currency that they buy and become rich and succesful instantly. It's possible to become rich this way, vey simple if you have a big initial investment, but I think to be rich is different from being successful. Bitcoin isn't the key to become successful, it's just a tool. You need to have solid plans, solid mind to become successful, it's not only about money and profit, it's about management, responsibility.

1350  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: October 01, 2017, 03:40:28 AM
how many time we have to wait to reach 1 million reward point ? and i think the lucky 10000 number will not come even if i play my whole life

Only to wait won't make you achieve 1 million of RPs. There are different strategies that could be used to get these points, some risky where you need to gamble, others safer, but that take too much time to reach to this goal.

The hint I can give you is to enjoy maximum as possible the bonus days, like this one:

Great balls of fire, we're In the midst of an EPIC Rewards Points bonus weekend >>>>> 5x Rewards Points starts tonight!

For the entire weekend, we'll pay you 10 Rewards Points for a free roll, 5 Rewards Points for a multiply roll activity exceeding 1500 satoshi, and 5 Rewards Points for a referral roll!

Follow us on Twitter to get more announcements of great promotions > https://twitter.com/freebitco

And think about RPs as a bonus for your loyalty on the site, don't be greedy about it.
1351  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where can I buy a car with bitcoin? on: October 01, 2017, 03:16:54 AM
I have read the threads and it's really  complicated yet sensible topic.  I have not heard that it is really possible to buy car using bitcoin and its really interesting.  i have seen comments and options on how to buy car if using bitpay or if converting your bitcoin to cash or saving it to your bank account.  I've been  customer service in a large bank company in US and its really true that IRS really investigates the money in ones account.. where did you get the ource of funds,  what are your jobs, do u have any properties, do you have family,  how many children do you have. It's really time consuming if youre going to place your bitcoins earning then convert to cash then saves in your bank account.  Then suddenly IRS or local tax can request to place  hold in your money. I understand those account holders who complains when their money were placed on hold.. Though I understand the bank and IRS to protect any fraud however it consumes a lot of time and affects if you have pending transactions like buying a car.

While the BTC transactions (BTC to fiat/fiat to BTC) are low there isn't problem, the government won't be watching you, but once you starting transacting high and moving money to buy for example a car, the scenario changes... But it's still possible and there wouldn't be problem if someone have his income exclusively from the internet without passing through the government's eyes.

Then this person must send the BTCs to the seller and get the car. I just don't know if there were any problem with the government when trying to legalize the car documents.
1352  Economy / Economics / Re: Some things to consider before starting a business on: October 01, 2017, 01:38:39 AM
Before you venture into any business you most be prepared to study every information about that business and also  trying to develop your skills about the venture you want to embark. I am making a living online currently because I learn about forex trading since 2009 and transfer my knowledge to bitcoin and cryptocurrency this year. Your skill is your business future  and I will also advise you to focus your mind on cryptocurrency business related.
Of course, having a huge knowledge on your business plan is vital thing you should must. Without this, you gonna make your business into falling. Getting involve in crypto business is totally different in running business outside, but still needs passion and dedication toward it.
Knowledge is the best foundation for every kind of business and even in any person. Knowledge is always applicable to all of the things in this world and if you will enhance your knowledge everyday then you will feel comfortable and safe that you will become a great person in everything that you will do because you have knowledge and because of those knowledge you can be good in almost everything.

Without knowledge there isn't business. It's impossible to start a business without know-how. The best to do is to study carefully about the business you are trying to start before starting it. Check people who have already worked with the area, ask for hints, informations and very important, check how much you need to start it. Not only talking about online and Bitcoin business, but in general. The basic recipe is the same.
1353  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading sucks, I'll just hold my coins on: September 30, 2017, 10:41:11 PM
With anything, dont invest what you cant afford to lose.

Did you research these projects before you purchased?
i agree to you, dont buy any altcoin if you dont want to take the risks.
before you buy some alt you need to know about and that project before you purchased.

That's correct and if you invest in any altcoin blindly without doing any research then you will surely loose money in it so if you don't have any idea about altcoins the best thing would be to buy bitcoin and hold it till the price goes higher in future and sell when you are making good profits from it.
Investment without reseach just is gambling, you cannot call this is trading or investment.
You are also a gambler when use your money for invest to an altcoin by the promote from someone Wink
Yeah it is time to stay calm and don’t be panic just hold and the time will come when you will release them at higher rate and the most of the common thing when new investor sees the price going down he will be in the panic situation and then he sold at low and this gave him loss the only way to score profit is sell high buy low.

As far as buying and selling is concerned, then you are very much right that buy when low and sell when high. As far as trading is concerned, I think if you are not doing well in the field of trading, then there is no harm in taking a pause. Holding is in fact the best option for the one who is not good at trading.

But if you choose to hold your coins, make sure you are holding the right currency. I think it's not a good idea to hold AltCoins for much time, especially those AltCoins that pump and dump fast and has greater volatility than Bitcoin. If you want to be a long term holder choose Bitcoin, in my opinion that is the best idea. I don't know how OP have lost $1800, but he could just hold the BTCs and I doubt he would have losses...
1354  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Dividing your salary. on: September 30, 2017, 07:09:25 PM
Hello, as we all know that Bitcoin is heading straight to the moon. Me, as an employee, do also invest with this cryptocurrency, and I kinda need to divide all of my salary for my needs, and on how much should I invest in? Let's talk about percentage. Anyone?

the truth is it's too easy what else if you do not have a wife and children, if I always share my salary like this, 100% salary I set
1. 50% for bitcoin
2. 25% for monthly needs
3. 25% to freshen up after 1 month of labor
it is not that easy to spend all your salary on crpto even without a wife and children . my salary divided as :
- 20 % for saving
- 40 % for bitcoin and altscoin
- 40 % for special needs (myself only)

Don't you consider Bitcoin investment a saving method? Saving money in BTC worth a lot compared to another saving methods like bank accounts or just holding fiat. Anyway, if you are alone and don't have expenses with other people it's much easier to save and invest money, making it grow much faster than people who have families to feed. Currently I'm not using my salary to buy BTCs because I have plans in real life.

But if it was possible for me, I would put 70% of my salary in Bitcoins.
1355  Economy / Economics / Re: How did Bitcoin save Venezuela? on: September 30, 2017, 05:55:11 PM
Money exclusively doesn't save anything. It can make the situation better for a while, but without changing their minds that people will continue on the darkness for a long time yet. And if they think Bitcoin can save them from all their problems, well, rest in peace Venezuela...
1356  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Bitcoin be effectively used to curb corruption? on: September 30, 2017, 04:03:01 PM
Bitcoin can curb a part of the corruption there is today. That corruption executed by the government and its agents. But if the BlockChain technology is implemented on the governments, the citizens will must pay a price for it. The regulamentations would be stronger and people would have to follow them without complainments like it's now today. So I don't know what would be worse...
1357  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spending Bitcoin These Days on: September 30, 2017, 03:38:10 PM
I see more and more merchants accepting Bitcoin but I feel many are missing the point. I, along with the vast majority of you, hate spending my Bitcoin. The only reason I would spend Bitcoin is if I can get a 20%+ discount on an item or service that I would be purchasing anyway. This also assumes I can immediately purchase more BTC to cover what I spent. I have done this before for purchases on Purse, then buying the BTC right back on Coinbase. The headache alone is hardly worth it. So merchants! It's great that you accept BTC but give us a compelling reason to spend it at your establishment, otherwise we really don't care.

I think it doesn't make much sense for the seller to give you at least 20% discount, it's not interesting for him... And if it's not interesting for one of the sides tehre isn't deal. Bitcoin can worth a lot on long term, even knowing this I don't think most sellets are crazy to sell their stuff much cheaper just because they are selling for Bitcoins. Remember that when dealing with BTCs you are already skipping some fees and extra costs.
1358  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Scam Sites that use Bitcoin on: September 30, 2017, 03:21:47 PM
Thanks for posting the website here. People should really be careful from such scam sites.
I think a list of btc scam sites should be made from which people should make a note of those sites and stay alert.

That's not going to help either. There are so many scam sites made everyday and check it every single of them. The most effective way to avoid being scammed is also to avoid Hyips, doublers and all investing sites because they all end up scamming people no matter how long or short they site runs.

Yes, many lists of scam sites were made, but they are worthless now... Scam sites appear and disappear really fast, they shut down and come back with a new name, on the internet it's very easy to do this kind of thing. There are many new sites that aren't on lists that are scam too and someone only looking through lists will be scammed anyway... Always doubt about sites legitimacy and ask people their feedbacks about it.

(And I think this thread should be at Scam Accusations section, no?)
1359  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice Game Bankroll Question on: September 30, 2017, 01:19:00 AM
First off: you can start tiny with a bankroll size of about 10 BTC, where you allow a max win of .25% of the bankroll: 0.025BTC.

If you want to compete with the larger guys, and have a max win of around 10BTC (or maybe ever larger), and assuming you don't want to risk too much of your bankroll, you will need at least a 4000 BTC bankroll.

Also, don't forget that the amount is probably even higher, because there are all kind of expences that you have to pay.

This feature to set a max winning percentage of the total bankroll is very important to prevent losses you can't afford to pay people who are gambling on your site, principally at the beginning, when the bankroll is usually lower.

Try to have biggest bankroll as possible to attract gamblers that like to bet high and consequently spend more money on your site, these guys give some nice profit for the house when playing. The little fishes play low and don't generate much profit. I agree that 0.25% of total bankroll maximum bet is adviced.

Anyway, to have a big bankroll isn't a guarantee to have success. There are another skills very necessary like marketing and management.
1360  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Can browser mining systems replace faucets on: September 29, 2017, 07:11:58 PM
Mining coins on a browser is becoming a new trend. I think mostly we faucet lovers like this new way of making small amount of coins. Also, people who never had a chance to mine coin  likes this opportunity. I canīt help but wonder if this new way of "making money" can replace the faucet sites, or is it just going to be an additional market. Another thing is that the mining on a browser is new and most of us havenīt received the last electricity bill yet. Is this browser mining thing going to make a significant difference? Please share you thoughts.

I think only big players can make something from this and regular faucet user can only get few satoshi and problems with CPU.If sites/faucets offer this as option I have nothing against it-users will try and see is there any profit for them, but many hide it from users and use their CPU and this is not fair.

I notice that few faucets who relied only on this web mining are down with balance,so I think there is no future in this.Since most of faucet users come from undeveloped countries they have very low performance computers and when they use browser mining any normal work on computer is almost impossible.

Taking into account the power supply&hardware and reward user get, in my opinion there is no any profit for small users.Every user can make more coins just by using faucets.

Yes, that is all. The common faucet user is a guy without skills, without decent computer/laptop/mobile. So he is worthless for Crypto-Currency mining. I believe this new trend is in beta test yet, some developers are testing how worthful it can be, but there aren't concrete results yet.

If we take in consideration the common user this idea won't go ahead. The normal faucets are more profitable for usrs and the ads banners are more profitable for faucet owners to generate income to pay users.

There are some exceptions, like newbies on Crypto-Currency world. Some of them could have some powerful machines that could make this activity worth, but not enough to make all the system sustainable for all users.
