381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 07, 2018, 02:06:58 PM
Another win for the Golden State Warriors with Kevin Durant leading the team with 43 points. I cant believe that Steph Curry only scored 11 points today but nevertheless Cavs will have a hard time catching up with the 3 wins of GSW. I thought Cavs will have this game since its a home court advantage . Game 3 110 GSW - 102 Cavs

Because steph has 3 other all-stars on his team, Warriors are the most un-interesting team in the NBA, if one/two players have a bad night the other will pick up the slack with a bunch of points like KD did.

The series is over, wont even watch game 4, waste of a finals. Not even fun to watch unless your a golden state fan boy
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When Binance? The most asked question after ICO sales in Telegram group on: June 06, 2018, 08:44:13 PM
NOTHING!!

Sheeez only newbs keep pounding these questions into developers faces!

Last year around this time it was "WHEN POLONIEX" and year before that it was "WHEN CRYPTSY" or "WHEN MINTPAL"

Newbs seem to think that by getting listed on a big exchange price will shoot way up and they will get rich, when in reality it doesn't matter and rarely do listings yield substantial gains that last!

Over time binance's grip on the market will diminish as more exchanges come out that are just as good as binance.

385  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] FACTOM - Introducing Honesty to Record-Keeping on: June 06, 2018, 02:06:18 PM
Some interesting information came from the AMA this morning:

"During the last AMA, 30+ NDAs were mentioned.

Can you share how many CLIENTS you have that are utilizing the Factom Protocol in some capacity?
We have 8 active clients, and a few in line to come on board. A couple of these (like FPT) are integration partners, who put multiple clients onboard, but are not counted here.

Do you foresee any ICOs / any form of token offerings taking place on Factom within the next 12 months?
Yes

Is the new factom inc website build still happening or has that been put on hold?
Yes, the new Factom inc. website build is about to go online soon. The website has suffered delays due to having to balance priorities and resources. One of the things being decentralized and autonomous brings to the factom protocol is more resources to actually support development. This in turn provides more resources to address needs like website updates.

Are you able to comment on how the Gates Foundation or DHS work is progressing?
The Gates work is progressing very well. We are close to delivering a working POC of an amazing medical wallet that demonstrates not only the power of the blockchain to improve lives, but also demonstrates how blockchains and Factom can scale to solve continent wide real world problems.

The DHS work is under the SVIP program, which defines four phases. Factom has completed 3 of these phases with flying colors, and is in process of entering the 4th phase. The 4th phase involves field testing of the technology."

If everyone made a post like this when this same situation happened to them this forum would be literally flooded...

Sheez be happy with your small gain and move on....to sit there and think that you actually lost that money is pretty novice..yet by your name it says "Yes I am Pro"  Huh Roll Eyes
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deeponion Forum ban me.What kind of team it is? on: June 05, 2018, 08:26:48 PM
Well there is a difference between having a tight supportive community and just being a delusional cheerleader....there are alot of communities out there that have a bunch of the latter...wont go into naming them.

What crypto and investing does to people's emotions is a powerful thing
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS Blockchain launch. on: June 05, 2018, 08:16:34 PM
Over-valued, nothing but hype up to this point. The massive amount of TPS hasnt been proven yet and people are already posting vulnerabilities and lopsided distribution of coins.

No thanks.

Don't be surprised if it goes on a down trend for weeks after launch, newbs will cry.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which areas and problems in Africa do you think can be solved by the blockchain on: June 05, 2018, 08:09:20 PM
Probably health and medical records could have the most immediate impact, Factom for example was given a grant by the bill and melinda gates foundation to come up with a blockchain based solution. Not sure exactly how it panned out.

Aside from that there was an article by coindesk about a pilot program that was tested in a recent sierre leone election, TESTED, not used. key word there. hopefully as blockchain tech grows there will be more apparent use cases and utility.

What do you guys think of this site?

http://www.coinopinions.com/currencies/dogecoin

I’ve been trying to find someone that offers an opinion (BUY/SELL/HOLD) etc. for Dogecoin. I like coingeko, but they don’t have an opinion.

This looks like a new site. They seem to use a mix of technicals, fundamentals, and social media based metrics. What do you guys think?

I started investing in cryptos with Bitcoin and Ethereum, but I think both of those will likely die at some point. The future is in the alt coins, but they’re so volatile that I’ve lost some money already – sold when it was going down, then missed the upswing. So I’m trying to find a site with an opinion and analysis that I can trust – these guys seem pretty good?

The site seems pretty basic, all they seem to have is some charts and news post. Couldn't find any kind of opinions, if your looking for opinions on technical analysis tradingview.com is probably your best bet.

But I don't know why you would be looking for any kind of opinion on Doge, it's merely a meme coin with no other value than a blockchain and a community of dog lovers.....trust me there are way better investments out there.

Bitcoin and Ethereum will not "die" at some point...I don't know where you are getting this information but it's wrong. There have been billions of dollars invested in companies and development who utilize these crypto-currencies, they are almost too big to fail at this point.

You should probably just keep buying top 10 coins and not look so much for other people's opinions, they are bias most of the time.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tracking upcoming airdrops? on: June 05, 2018, 03:13:25 PM
you can check out coincalendar.com, some sites will only show airdrops and not other types of events, coin calendar will show everything and the entries are voted on to get trusted reliability if the event is real.

airdrops anymore dont really seem that profitable unless your a long term holder of a coin thats doing the airdrop, otherwise you buy in and get dumped on, or the airdrop is small and you dont get that much
392  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Deeponion Forum ban me.What kind of team it is? on: June 05, 2018, 02:55:19 PM
You are taking it way to personal, literally ALL alts are down right now and the developers and people that make up these teams behind projects get so sick and tired of people coming into their social channels and just complaining about price or changes to roadmaps.

Just the other day there will people saying the same thing from the TENX community, people are getting banned all over the place with similar circumstances to yours.

Just relax and don't take it personal, everyone is struggling right.
393  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2018 NBA Season on: June 04, 2018, 10:44:19 PM
Im not from cleveland nor am I really a cavalier fan, I do like lebron james though and watching Game 1 was probably the most frustrated I had been ever watching an NBA game.

The refs lopsided calls got more and more annoying then leading up to that overturned charge call that bailed GS out and kept them in the game was the pinnacle....fuck the missed free throw and JR blunder, none of that should of happened. The refs screwed the cavs out of game 1 and probably the series because of that.

I cant stand GS now, gloating around and celebrating after that win when their team is stacked anyways and the refs basically handed them the game is ridiculous.
If you are a fan of the Cavaliers or Warriors it is very hard not to be biased here. I think the blocking foul called on Lebron James against Durant is the right call because James has not established yet his position in my opinion. Game 1 is the best chance for the Cavs to won a game against the Warriors and they blew it. James should not criticize Smith for that lapse so that Smith will not be affected in the coming games.

They never should have reviewed it, he was outside the restricted area. It was a judgement call they overturned, it's like 50/50 some people say charge some people say no. But the ref initially called a charge, which should have stuck.

Then they missed several other calls where lebron was clearly fouled then gave KD calls where it was a clear strip, seemed to me like the refs were biased....

I just know if I was lebron I would be so pissed at the league, the dude has made the nba so much better over the years and they take a big dump on him at such a critical moment in a finals game.
394  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Dragonchain Token Sale on: June 04, 2018, 08:12:42 PM
I own an exterior remodeling company and am not very code/ computer savvy. Dragonchain is my largest investment so far in crypto because I want to be able to run a node and I believe in the project. That being said will setting up a node be something a guy with average computer skills be able to set up?

Kind of an interesting concept, why would you disclose that you own an exterior remodeling company, seems kind of irrelevant to the rest of you're post  Cheesy

Dude they haven't even really came to a decision or not if they are EVER going to have their own chain, if they don't get their own chain there will not be nodes. If I had to guess I would say it won't be trivial to set a node up, masternodes themselves can be challenging. You will have to know linux for sure.

It will probably be based off DSS so make sure you have your drgn in a wallet that is generating a slumber score, thats IF they do end up instituting some kind of node system.

Why would they need to rebrand?
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MasterNode Sharing - GoldNode - Invest in a MN with a liltle amount of coins on: June 04, 2018, 02:30:09 PM
For anyone considering masternode sharing be advised that you are trusting the service provider with your coins and in some cases people get scammed of their coins, it's always better to learn how to setup your own nodes.

If you don't have enough coins then always try and verify with the developers of the project if the masternode sharing service is "trusted" otherwise you are blindly trusting someone with your money.

Good luck
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: June 04, 2018, 02:06:45 PM
LBRY is a sleeper coin, its making good progress while the price is quite low,
But one thing to be ware of is the recent trend of 51% attacks, as the hash rate is quite low it is not costing a lot to attack low cap coins and steal the funds. Hope the team is aware of any such potential threats that can arise because of the recent trend of such attacks across PoW coins

Surely they are aware, but with these attacks isnt the only party at risk is this exchanges? if they dont require enough confirmations then the attacker could double spend?

there would have to be a fork too right?

ICX to reap big from South Korea’s pro-ICO legislation – $100 possible in 2018! Grin
some very interesting news came out of South Korea. It emerged that the country’s parliament is considering legislation that could see the country legalize ICOs. If this goes through, ICON  will be the biggest beneficiaries, and for good reason.

ICON is one of the most popular smart contracts platforms in South Korea. In essence, if there were to be a resurgence of an ICO boom after the legislation goes through, most of them would most likely be done through ICON. This could easily see the value of ICON  hit valuations of over $100, since platform blockchains are usually driven by the number of projects going through them. It is for this reason that Ethereum rose from a few dollars in early 2017 to over $1000 in December, as the ICO craze took over the market. That’s why a reemergence of ICOs in South Korea would be a big deal for ICON  Shocked .

$100 would make ICON market cap like 40x its current price, Theloop is a strong team backing Icon, capable of
delivering blockchain services to big data like banks/universities:hospitals,etc...

Ya I would not expect $100 anytime soon but possible in the long term, another reason to be bullish on icon is the recent comments from the head of pantera capital:

https://www.reddit.com/r/helloicon/comments/8f6bqq/pantera_capital_places_largest_bet_for_2018_on/

They have a big position on ICON, so that is saying something about how big money views the project.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🥚Fry Egg - Tokenized Health & Fitness Coaching Platform on the Blockchain on: June 01, 2018, 05:04:25 PM
There will be an ERC-20 Token for exchanges, but on the private blockchain there will be a different functional token based on our platform.

So there will have to be some sort of conversion between the erc-20 token and the private blockchain token right? Otherwise whats the purpose of the erc-20 token to begin with?

since there will be a private chain....will it be your guys own chain? a minable/pos based chain or something?...guess i should read the whitepaper huh? lol sorry

another question is when will your guys signiture campaign begin? on the bounty thread it just says "coming soon" but it reps 20% of the bounty budget...i would maybe be interested as my current sig campaign may be coming to an end soon. but i want to represent something worthwhile and professional, this doesn't look to bad
