381  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think about the price of Bitcoin now? Take profit or greed? on: November 21, 2020, 01:54:07 PM
Why would I choose to do one when I can do both? I would like to get profit from it but at the same time, I want to continue holding my bitcoin and crypto currencies. It is not that I am greedy but I needed the money for my family, for my future family and to also help the people that needed them. Money is one of the problems my family has as I grow up that is the reason why when I will be starting my own, I don't want to have a problem with money.
382  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it possible to day trade bitcoin and altcoins? on: November 21, 2020, 01:29:18 PM
It is possible to do that but that also means that you need to adapt to the fast-changing market of crypto currencies. I don't know if that is profitable but for me, I'd rather hold my bitcoin and altcoins rather than a day trade. It is not a hassle, I will not be spending most of them on transacting them back and forth exchange and I know that it would give me higher profits in the near future.
383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you believe NBA is rigged? on: November 21, 2020, 01:18:01 PM
I really can't imagine there is match fixing at this level. Those players who all earn a fortune in the NBA. then why would they participate in such a thing? keeping in mind that if anyone finds out, they could be suspended for life or at least end their career.

They don't care about the money anymore, that is the only explanation for that. Winning the NBA Finals is one of the greatest achievements an NBA player could have. As far as I know, there is a lot of match-fixing in the past and I think that is not just the talk including the players but also some names that are maybe, betting huge money on the game.
384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does Bitcoin price rise affect your gameplay? on: November 20, 2020, 11:58:18 PM
Is there a gambling site where we could see a chart of amounts being put on a bet so we can compare the bet people did last month and this month? At that point, we can actually see if people are having some changes in their betting as the time changes.

As an example, on our site, I looked at 2 of the big wagers and calculated what they bet last month compared to what they bet this month.

Amount bet last month
User 1. 6.27874269
User 2. 62.68226555

Amount bet this month
User 1. 56.79178533
User 2. 6.30647655

They are some of the players in our weekly wagering competitions. Some of them don't have records in the other months on the list so I can't really give more analysis of how their bet change as the price increases. User 1 has a lot of bets this month as the price increases compared to User 2 meanwhile, User 2 has a lot of bets last month with the price is not that high. This is just an example, maybe others can give more information so we could see how people change their wagers as price increases.
385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Player protection - stop loss limit on: November 20, 2020, 09:52:55 PM
Hi guys, as you know some casino/bookmakers offer "player protection" giving ability to set up a stop loss limits.
What happens if a player lose more of this limit and continue to gamble despite any "protection"?

I don't know any online casinos that have this " player protection". Maybe you can just limit yourself or stop when you need to stop since it will also be annoying sometimes dealing with your losses if that protection kicks in. There is no gurantee that the gambler will actually stop, right?

What if he seeks to bet more and since he can't do that online, he'll do it offline. He will find a way to do his bets and this might be more dangerous than putting a limit to your bets because that desire to bet is being heightened added with mixed emotions.

386  Economy / Economics / Re: Time for investment on: November 20, 2020, 05:04:43 PM
If you invested in some of the known and popular crypto currencies last month, you are already having a great profit by now. Bitcoin is not the only one you should look out for since there are a lot of other cryptos you can put your money into. Be wary of the changes happening within the day since you might find the best timing for you to do your investing.
387  Economy / Economics / Re: Ray Dalio Admits He May Be Wrong About Bitcoin" on: November 20, 2020, 04:26:53 PM
We've heard a lot of people like him talking about bitcoin and just think it has no chance of being a good asset in the future while if they just look at how the market is greatly changing, they will just be there sitting as the price boost up into new heights. I am used to these kinds of people and it is great that he accepted his mistake, hope he considers investing too.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which is more important bitcoin or fiat? on: November 20, 2020, 03:20:35 PM
Because I am a cryptocurrency player, I chose Bitcoin. With Bitcoin I can sell for profit and I can exchange it to fiat. And the Bitcoin value is very high. So it is very tempting to have a lot of Bitcoin.

Even though bitcoin is having a great run now, we are still selling it for profit. With the adoption of bitcoin right now is low, we are still getting our profits from these crypto investments as fiat by selling it. So right now, the most important is fiat but if in the future where the adoption is so high, there is no doubt that bitcoin will be more important that fiats.
389  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin make someone the richest in the world? on: November 20, 2020, 03:04:13 PM
I don't think so. With the volatility of bitcoin, it would be really funny to see that guy going up and down the list of the richest men in the world. Bitcoin can make someone rich but I don't think that kind of heights as the richest in the world unless that person or individual is already on the list and then he invested in bitcoin or other crypto currencies as well.
390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino workers forced into unpaid leave on: November 20, 2020, 02:34:46 PM
It is going to be a tough situation for the casino owners. And let's remember the fact that not all of the casinos are owned by billionaires like Sheldon Adelson. A number of them are owned by small-scale owners such as various native American reservations. So I don't expect all of these casinos to have enough cash reserves to pay their employees even if they remain closed for an extended period.

Yeah, that is the point. We should also understand their part, they are doing their business and I think they are also thinking that they are sorry about what happened to these workers. Still, I hope they could easily find another job. This time, it is hard to find a job since most of the businesses and stores are closed or have limited customers so usually they manage it on their own.
391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Gang uses crypto for illegal purposes on: November 20, 2020, 01:47:47 PM
Syndicates take advantage of crypto for money laundering because it is easy to transfer funds across different countries without the hassle of funds being checked if it's legal or not. If you are transferring illegal funds crypto is the safest way because of the anonymity it offers and decentralization. That is why most people have a perception that crypto is illegal which is wrong.

This depends on the crypto currencies being used. There are a lot of crypto currencies that are not actually anonymous as you can still track where the funds go while fiat, you never know where it will go or where it went. People are taking advantage of the features of cryptos, I agree that most of the people are mistaking it as illegal but actually, they are taking advantage of it and it is not actually a scam or illegal.

Hard to track if there is no KYC, but talking about FIAT, I think it's easy as long as it passes through banks since every bank accounts undergoes a real KYC verification where you have to go to the bank, seen by the personnel who will verify face to face so they would know who are the real owner of the accounts, unlike in crypto exchanges where it's easy to fake the verification requirement.

If someone will try to do illegal transaction using fiat, he must be smart enough to just move a paper money, otherwise it's not safe, some with crypto, use an anonymous coins and never pass through regulated exchanges.

That is true but I don't think that these gangs or syndicates would just go through a bank, right unless they have a plan like they have these fake bank accounts that they can use. There are a lot of times where I read about banks have these fake accounts that is registered in a name that don't actually exist and usually, they use that to transfer a huge amount of money.

393  Economy / Economics / Re: people stop complain about economy and ccovid on: November 20, 2020, 11:35:04 AM
Without someone complaining, the ones who is leading might not know the mistakes that he mis making. We can't always be a "Yes People" to anything that they've done wrong, we need ti let them know so they can fix it. We should ler them know what people needed most especially these days that life is so hard.
The only thing the complaining does it let the power at the top know just how hard they can push. The governors like Gavin Newsom in California are testing the waters to see how much control they can get away with - they don't even believe the nonsense coming out of their mouth. He went to a dinner with 12+ other parties violating his own 3-family rule and goes on TV the next day to state that mask wearing is now mandatory when outside.

It's only when people stop complaining and pick up pitchforks will they know the border of how far they can push. The complaining is just a relief valve for those on the bottom - with social media being used as valves. The people at the top don't care (hence why they're at the top).

We also have that scenario in our country too. At that time, this Chief Major General celebrated his birthday with a lot of people in that place, the government did not say anything about that and didn't even punish the guy while the other people that violated that protocols went to jail despite their ages. And now he is appointed as the chief of police and he's talking about wearing a mask and following the safety protocols, it is like a slap at the face to the people which is the worst.

395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen for Amazon to accept Bitcoin? on: November 19, 2020, 11:31:47 PM
That would be a big change in terms of adoption for bitcoin. I don't know though if they will be considering or plan to accept bitcoin since if you all can remember, Steam accepted bitcoin for some time but stopped accepting it because of the transaction fees and maybe its volatility.
396  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What made yoi think of investing in bitcoin at the current market? on: November 19, 2020, 01:49:13 PM
Is there any reason we can think of why people love to invest in bitcoin while market price is high?

Because they think that it will be higher in the next weeks, months or years. I think that even though they invest right now, they will still have their profit in the long run. You can't tell how high it will be in the next weeks so you can't actually say that the price is high, what you can do is invest as long as you know what you are doing or you have the funds to do so.
397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lottery Gambling on: November 19, 2020, 11:58:13 AM
As far as I know, here in our country, my father, uncles and their friends usually watch PBA and bet on the last digits of the score and they are using this piece of paper given by one man where people bet and the one who predicted the digits win the bets of all the people there. It brings back a lot of memories since even in my teenage years, I usually ran with the TV remote to compete for an anime episode being aired.
398  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any truly safe bets in sports betting? on: November 18, 2020, 11:59:06 PM
Yes, there is a very safe bet. Don't bet anything so you can't lose. 100% successful. That is the best bet.

Yep! One of the best ideas I've ever read about this topic. Who can lose in sports betting if you are not actually betting, am I right? There's another thing, you could predict who's winning and bet nothing on it. You might not win money but you called it.  Grin
399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online Gambling could be used to pay for covid problems on: November 18, 2020, 11:04:38 PM
Casinos are booming at the time of pandemic so there's no downside for this since it can help people and it's beneficial to the economy also since for now the economic state is not really good and it's good to have a certain outlet where the government can take funds to use to fight the pandemic as well for the other things that needed to take care. And there's nothing wrong with regulation since if the casino is regulated the gamblers can assure that they are safety.

In terms of our country, I think there will be a negative result to this and this will be taken by the people as an insult since they think that our national government is not handling the funds that well. A lot of projects got cancelled is with the current issues and situations our country is facing, people are trying to point it all out that the government are the ones at fault why things are worsening so, yeah, there is that.

Well, the only ones that has been cancelled are those good project that will help the whole country to rise again because of this pandemic, and the ones that continues and has been approved by the Government here in Philippines are those shitty projects that should have been not the priority in the amidst pandemic.

In short, I bet even the taxes they get in the casinos are getting stolen as well by them and they just pretending to spend it to something shitty again but the truth is they are putting it in their bank accounts. Nothing's gonna help if the Government of a certain country is corrupt and very incompetent.

Not just good, it is one of the great projects or plan for the country as it will protect the people and will have a budget for such gruesome situations like what just happened. What I am trying to say here is that if they will be imposing more taxes to gamblers, people will be enraged since they want more taxes while they can't even handle those well. They should just let the gamblers do their donations, because I know a lot of them are willing to do that.

I know someone that is working in China for 12 years now who told me that there is a lot of illegal gambling happening in China. He's working in this store and usually, people talk at that store about these illegal gamblings. If this is the case, I agree that they should just let it be legal but as far as I know, they are in the religion of Buddhism so I think it is related to that?

As China policy and laws they do not adhere to religious teaching, they are not banning gambling because of Buddhism they are banning it because their parties created a law for their citizen since the communist party cane into power in 1949, it's surprising that although they ban gambling in mainland China they have a state own gambling casinos in Macau and Chinese citizens have a lot of underground gambling sites.

I agree that there are a lot of money to be made by the government of China, but do they need it since they have already making huge money from commerce, remember they are already a superpower.

As far as I know, there are a lot of Chinese POGOs in our country too which is legal here in our country to operate but illegal to give the service of that online casino inside our country. This just proves that the country of China could earn a lot of profits or taxes by regulating casinos or online casinos, they should reconsider this so they could contain their virus.
