I liked Trump, but that's politics and theater and "entertainment"... He did shake up the government. (I'm not murican, so .. but I still liked him.)
I know it's OT, but I always enjoy non US folks seeing him in a balanced light. He was lots of theater and entertainment, for sure. It is frustrating living here in this polarized hellscape with a broken and manipulative media force feeding a single narrative into the culture 24/7. I think he was terribly misunderstood. And it was mostly his own fault. But I really believe he was an outsider, and I think TPTB made sure to FIX that this time around. I was not fond of him in many ways and are somewhat glad he's faded into the background, lol, but I wish he had more chance to "shake up the government". I certainly liked that part, though it has destabilized the whole world somewhat. It also pulled the masks off just about ALL the institutions. No one sees the media, the FBI/CIA/NSA, the government, the tech giants etc. the same way, and that is a net good. Oh well... The key problem with Trump was that he was far too easy to sway and manipulate. The people who wound up manipulating him just turned out to be a pretty.... interesting bunch. Couple that with his whole "one I make a decision I never go back" and you have a recipe for disaster. When you have no destination, any road can get you there.

So people are putting money *into* bitcoin (g)old?
Jesus, I probably still have some of that shit in old wallets. I wonder if you can just load the seed codes into a BTG browser, and get the crap to an exchange for BTC like I did with that bitcoin trash....

How about use it as a store of record for a new type of NFTs?

Oh ok. Boutique mining. Well you could do an Antminer S9, they're pretty reasonable and putter along. S15's are not worth it for the price, S17 and 19 are neat but expensive and require 220v. Dragonmint A1's are good but man they blow up easily. Older miners (Neptunes, S7, that kind of thing) are not going to make you any real coin.
If you just want something in the corner of the house an R4 is nice. If you just want to see BFGMiner run and mine some dust pick up a cheap Jalapeno and run it on your desk.
But with ATMs all around the quickest way is to buy it. But mining is fun....

Ebay.
Seriously, the chances of getting scammed are exceptionally high. Paypal+Ebay gives you a chance at recompense if it turns out to be a box of pinball machine parts.
And of course Cloud mining=Ponzi fraud.
What to buy? Most efficient miner you can afford. While mining is typically a zero sum game and people bitch endlessly about "ROI" truth is if you mine and held over the last few years you would have done well.

Judging from the shitcoin market and the consolidation at these high levels in bitcoin for some time now, I think that we have less than 2 or 3 days before bitcoin breaks out out in a major way to the upside. I wouldn't be surprised if it happens today.
However, I've also seen before that when shitcoins go full stupid like they are right now the whole market collapses first, then bitcoin takes off, shitcoins don't. Time will tell. But one thing is certain is that shitcoins will always be shit and bitcoin will always be king. Long live the king and hodl!
I tend to watch the Litecoin/Bitcoin ratio as an indicator of what shitcoins are doing. Back during the previous runup a few years ago LTC was running at around .12 BTC to .16 BTC. Now it's spent over a year at .004 and even today is around .0038 or so. So not much of a pump at all when compared to what BTC did earlier this year. I'd keep an eye on Eth, but it is complete dishonest garbage and not worth the effort.

There was a time where 59k would be the most incredible thing ever. However after the past few weeks it's been kinda....

Someone's selling bitcoin.com for $100 million. That's 100 million DOGE.

I was thinking the same thing. Even if we disagreed I hope he's ok.
Good point, he did stop posting quickly and I don't remember him flouncing. I hope he's ok.

As we can see, the wall of bitcoin wanting to be converted to USD is ever growing and further proving that no new ATH can come. Soon the wall of sell orders will wash over and through the "wall" of buy orders. It is mathematically certain that we will see $10k again this year. I know nobody really doubts this.
Will you ever get tired mate? Where's r0ach btw? (wasn't there a rule where you can mention him twice a year?) Mention his name enough and he may show up. Kind of like a weak Cthulhu. As for PH, I like his posts, it's always nice to have a shot of doom in the morning....

More likely there is no real news to report. When you're posting things from the Gov of a cum dumpster state like South Dakota yoiu know it's a slow news day....

Bitcoin is going down, only one thing to do.....

Yeah looks like popped the 60k cherry at last. May be setting up for a run tomorrow.
The next 24 hours are critical.

My gift to all you WO Members on this April Fool's Day. Enjoy.
This is one of the funnier things I have seen this year. Now I'll be humming that damn oompa loompa tune :-) Nice job, thanks!

I don't get the new NFT thing.
It's a digital certificate that says, "I own thing X". You can then sell/transfer that digital certificate to someone else. The natives of Yap had the NFT concept down hundreds of years ago: They are the ones who use large stone wheels as money. After a bit of this, they just started saying "the wheel in John's house is owned by Bob." Thus Bob had ownership even though he didn't have to move the physical token to his place. In one case a stone wheel being transported between islands sank into the ocean. It did not matter, people just referred to that store of value as "john's stone, out there in the ocean somewhere". The current method it's being done now is kind of a joke but that's the basic idea.

whenever i hear or read that i lost a close friend from the old times, which i haven't seen/heard of for a long time (over a decade), i look up the music we shared in our times of close friendship. It's like temporary revival in the form of memories, because you don't have a chance to experience their presence ever again. I use the music to start the process of letting go.
I know that dying is a part of life, which allows us to be able to feel these kind of things. I don't beg for condolence here, by the way.
Maybe some of you remember one of these persons, who you wanted to call or write for longer times, but didn't make it yet for whatever reason.
Sorry to hear that. Yeah I'm getting better at letting go of grudges, people just go and die for some reason and that's sad. *hugs*

Okay you owe me 1 merit.
There, I will buy that merit debt from you, now he owes ME! I will however take a blowjob in lieu of the 2 merits. Hm, maybe it's time for a blowjob blockchain....
