421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] GOBYTE [GBX] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance, & Decentralized on: May 24, 2018, 10:02:24 PM
GBX price having a rough week -- any good news coming up ?>

Not that i really know of other than the partnership with PolisPay....kind of concerning really since the rate of masternodes has pretty much stayed the same...

just makes me wonder who is dumping, guess miners are?

open air right now really, no solid floor has ever been defined before, lets hope we find it soon
422  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What exchanges can be involved in US JusticeDept criminal probe in your opinion? on: May 24, 2018, 07:11:13 PM
Probably only ones in the USA like Bittrex and Poloniex....Gemini had hired a company to investigate on their exchange. Not sure about others outside the US but highly doubt they are being investigated.
423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT ARE THE FEATURES OF A GOOD COIN? on: May 24, 2018, 07:06:01 PM
As a newbie,  I want to know the features of a good coin for which its value raise in market. I think its purchasing capability is mainly responsible. What is your logic?

I assume by purchasing capability you mean the amount of exchanges that trade it, or the amount of ways people can buy it.

Obviously its easier to buy bitcoin then say Digibyte...

Yes that would be a feature of a good coin, aside from that the reasons why some coins raise in value is subject to debate...after 4 years in these markets I have come to conclusion that the biggest factor for why a coin raises has to do with the hype associated with it. It could have little tech but a wide amount of optimism that leads to raise in value.

424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [BITG] Bitcoin Green | Sustainable Bitcoin | POS | 85% MN | #savebitcoin on: May 23, 2018, 01:44:04 PM
been looking into this for a while and although i understand the pitfalls of PoW, how does Bitg differ from any other PoS currency out there?

Other than the fact that it has masternodes it doesnt differ from any other POS coin out there...it's really just another MN/POS coin that totes the benefits of POS.

Take Diamond (DMD) for example, they have transparent devs and have been around since 2013 as a POS energy efficient alternative to bitcoin, also they have masternode sharing and  24/7 support for masternodes.

Not trying to shill my signature coin, sorry about that. My point is that until BITG brings some of the things in their roadmap to fruition and become more transparent it will stand as a high risk investment. I don't think its an outright scam though, I may or may not be looking for big dips to get some  Wink.

Price is a little bit overvalued imo

The dev-team prestented itself 8 days ago already: https://twitter.com/btc_green/status/994382573949325312?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fcoinmarketcap.com%2Fcurrencies%2Fbitcoin-green%2F

https://www.savebitcoin.io/team/

Thanks for that, merit given.

Team doesn't look bad, some depth for sure, will have to do more research on github and linked in.

Ye team look ok at first glance why did they wait so long to go public.  Now I might buy some bitg.

Maybe it just takes time to get other people on board, like the advisors and such, im still waiting for price to come down a bit, all my other nodes getting smashed, whole market taking a big hit...BITG will probably dump more so could be a good time to buy
425  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [ANN][PRTX] PoW/PoS/MN -Skein- PRINTEX - Inovator Cryptocurrency Untuk Printing on: May 22, 2018, 08:06:09 PM
So was there an existing company that already provided these services and now are just creating their own crypto currency? Or are you guys saying you are going to create a new company to do this and just have this printex coin alongside it?

426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are there any other DAG-based competitors to IOTA/NEO? on: May 22, 2018, 07:56:50 PM
NEO and IOTA have this unique approach to the blockchain by using DAGs that require no fees to operate, among other benefits. Are there other similar coins that are flying under the radar that can have a good bump in price in the near future?

Im pretty sure NEO is not a DAG, I think its a delegated proof of stake (where gas comes from) which is a blockchain not a directed acyclic graph.

Raiblocks was the first DAG out there, they have since re-branded to NANO, not really under the radar though....

Even if you found a coin with a small market cap that had a DAG its not guaranteed a good price bump, some people argue DAG systems are not blockchains anyways. Even IOTA has doubts from big hedge funds if the system is secure.
427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP: The Best Crypto Choice for Long-Term Investors on: May 22, 2018, 05:10:49 PM
Blog Location:  https://xrphodor.wordpress.com/2018/05/22/xrp-the-best-crypto-choice-for-long-term-investors/

XRP is the undisputed best choice for 𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐠-𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐬.

In today's blog, I discuss the reasons behind Ripple targeting the non-banking market, as well as what it means for their long term strategy.  Then, I connect the dots for you and show one possible outcome in a 𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙤 𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙡𝙮𝙨𝙞𝙨 stretching to 2021.

The blog covers exactly what Xpring and Coil mean for XRP owners, and what to expect in terms of additional liquidity and when we *might* see utility-driven demand take over the network.

Let me know what you think: Please leave any feedback below!

Thanks & Sincerely,
-Hodor

Well you have definitely done your research, and I don't doubt that XRP is a good investment, but to say its the "undisputed best choice for long term investors" I think is a bit biased.

I think the truth is we all have no idea really which project will be the best long term investment, shoot it could be an ICO that hasn't even hit the market yet, XRP has a lot going for it but there is a stigma attached to it by the crypto community that will always be hard to shake.
428  Local / Servicios / Re: EASYFORKS.COM-Claim your Bitcoin Forks and get Bitcoin directly BCH BTG BCD SBTC on: May 22, 2018, 04:58:51 PM
ALWAYS be careful with pasting your private keys into fork recovery services, remember that coinbase has stated they will make a certain number of bitcoin forks available for withdraw soon.

At the very least you should empty your bitcoin wallet with which you are going to use the private key to recover the forked coins first before using a service like this.

429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ZEC] ZCASH - All coins are created equal. Discussion Thread (Unofficial) on: May 22, 2018, 03:28:42 PM
OK, markets open on Gemini, buy sell walls up....let's see where this goes...curious how this will effect Zcash in the coming months? Will a lot of new money come in? Or will price fizzle out?

at the moment gemini volume for zcash 33, will have to watch their volume over the coming weeks.
430  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you know the Estimated Price of Bitcoin in 2019? You will be surprised. on: May 21, 2018, 03:56:11 PM
In 2014/2015 everyone was saying bitcoin would be 10k by 2016, it took a full year later to reach that price, I think it's somewhat irresponsible to think that bitcoin will shoot back up to all time highs faster this time around. It took a 2-3 bear trend to finally fizzle out around a halving to ramp up to a bull market again....could be the same thing here...we have to wait until 2020 to see bitcoin around 50k.

If you don't like it then sell, I and many others hodl'd through the roughest times when bitcoin made lows around $200.....the newer retail investors i see on youtube and on reddit are so spoiled and entitled it's sickening.
431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Gdax Vs Bittrex on: May 21, 2018, 03:39:38 PM
Really depends on where you live and whether or not you plan on filing you're taxes on crypto-crypto transactions, GDAX is good for buying bitcoin and some other alts for fiat, bittrex is more of an all around altcoin exchange.

Binance is probably best right now but there a lot of coins you can get on bittrex that you cannot get on binance.
432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Qurrex is going to be the next big exchange on: May 21, 2018, 03:09:16 PM
There is much need for a quick yet decentralised exchange like Qurrex, with lots innovative features to make it faster than any other. I am glad to be able to buy some tokens in the ICO because I think it may be worth long term.

There will be several exchanges going live this year, decentralized and centralized ones. Binance really changed the game when it comes to exchanges, any exchange that DOES NOT ico will be at a disadvantage.

Sucks for existing exchanges but most of them would have SEC issues like polo or trex, if you are looking for a good opportunity for a coming exchange than check out Nauticus, they are licensed in Australia, have a massive team and will have several fiat pairs not to mention probably 200+ cryptos

They are using the same model as Binance and Kucoin, launching their own token to reduce trade fees. Their coin will most likely see the same type of gains BNB and Kucoin shares did.

433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAG] X11 POS/POW+Masternodes MAGNET / magnetwork.io on: May 21, 2018, 02:32:26 PM
If you can't see the reason the price is tanking take a look at the first page of the announcements.  I just did.

Lies, pre-mine, looks like all kinds of things were going on. Saw a post on Twitter about this coin and came here to check it out.

A coin has to have 1) utility and 2) a strong community. Not sure about this one.

If the initial pre-mine holders sold when the prices were high there's no incentive to continue true development.  Hence, the coin dies on the vine.

The premine was used to get listed on exchanges and sell masternodes to the community, MAG is on cryptopia, has been attacked like 3 times by centralized pools and we have had 3 successful forks.

Merchant tools were developed and released, custom masternode website was developed and released and we have a stable chain with all masternodes receiving their rewards. This coin is in better shape than 75% of all the other masternode coins listed on masternode.online. Do some research on the developers githubs, they are not newbs.

Additionally the chart of MAG follows the same market cycle of several other masternode coins that launched late last year.

You post 2 reasons why you think the coin dies, but 0 evidence of why...all you say is "not sure about this one"........no one should listen to you if your "not sure"  Roll Eyes
434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 21, 2018, 02:27:32 PM
I think a lot of newbies buy litecoin because its easy to buy on coinbase

Not only that, because is well established currency, one of the oldest projects, it's stable and has cheap transaction costs.
yes no doubt that litecoin is very old and stable crypto right now in the market
and its transaction price is really cheap
newbies are buying that because its cheap transaction cost cheap and easy to move from one wallet to another
always newbies prefer cheap crypto currencies. because they won't spent a lot and can't take high risks

Hence why any coin under .10c got massive spikes in volume last winter, newbs dont look at bitcoin price only usd price, dont understand that % gain is all that matters.
435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] IAGON⚡️ AI-Based Decentralized Cloud Systems⚡️ on: May 21, 2018, 02:12:50 PM
Are you and your legal team not also worried about the"general vagueness of the SEC" and the implication of opening your own Pre-sale? I hope you understand as a future investor in IAGON.  I appreicate anything further you can provide your members.  Thanks

Everyone has to be worried about SEC vaguness but IAGON's legal team is confident of the parameters put in place. And they dont see any reason why token sale cannot continue

I tried looking around to find this information but I cannot find it anywhere...I assume that since the ICO will resume May 27th, that it is no longer going through Dragonchain right?

Does that mean USA citizens cannot participate? Also would we need to do another KYC if we went through dragonchain's?
436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ETC] Ethereum Classic: Immutable Smart Contracts on: May 21, 2018, 02:08:12 PM
I bought some at 100k satoshi and I will hold it for a longer time. I wait for 500k satoshis or more  to make some nice profits!

I bought the ICO..
wah lucky once you buy in ICO but what time it is your ICO price buy it?

But was there an ICO? Was not it just a fork in the Ethereum network where the Ethereum Classic was born? Must have bought at the beginning of the fork?

There was no ICO for ethereum classic and also keep in mind that Ethereum classic IS THE ORIGINAL ethereum blockchain, the ethereum that is #2 on coinmarket cap is the forked chain.
Ethereum classic was created as the immutable, original ethereum. Many crypto enthusiasts value this immutability, hence why ETC still has big support from early bitcoiners.
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium Classic - Callisto airdop 5th of March 2018 on: May 18, 2018, 08:14:01 PM
very interessting what an fork could get ..
It will be very exciting what happens here and how high he can still climb.
 Huh Huh Huh Huh
It seems to me that this is just a double and will not have a worthy continuation in the future. Better still pay attention to the original etherium and invest it is in this coin .

Neither of you make any sense...
438  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New automated trading system on crypto exchanges. There is no monthly fee. on: May 18, 2018, 08:07:33 PM
It seems to me that this post is advertising this automatic system. Apparently, a very small marketing budget

Ya this account posting same thing everyday now, i would be careful with this, i couldn't find any kind of forum or support on the site other than social media and telegram.....wish cryptowatch would hurry up and add api support for binance  Angry
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I mine Ravencoin or Intensecoin on: May 18, 2018, 08:03:05 PM
I would go with Ravencoin and hold what you mine, its had interest from the overstock CEO. I'm not sure exactly how overstock invested, but they are involved somehow.

Raven also had no premine and no ICO, I feel like down the road it will do really well.

Kind of depends on what kind of rig you have and whether or not you plan to hold what you mine.

Check out whattomine.com for more info if you havent before, good luck.
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KMD][dPoW] Komodo - Zcash Zero Knowledge Privacy Secured by Bitcoin on: May 18, 2018, 04:49:48 PM
....but people need to know about mr. lee's past with supernet, nxt...and all the nxt assets he created.

as the above table shows the approximate marketcap for SUPERNET and the rest of the NXT assets I created is approx 70 million KMD. I dont really promote this fact, but since you asked I calculated it for you. If your implication that this was somehow a bad thing, I seem to not understand your point.

No quite the contrary of it being a bad thing, I just hadn't kept up with what was going on with BTCD, SuperNet and the migration to Komodo. Im actually kind of surprised you responded so quickly and on bitcointalk, most devs neglect this forum although it has deteriorated over the years.

Ok so all your assets and supernet were brought over to Komodo and nobody was left in the cold that supported your NXT, BTCD and supernet involvement. I have to say that is pretty respectable.

I have been poking around on:
https://komodoplatform.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KPSD/overview

This is a really good source, I learned so much very quickly there. I'm really impressed with KMD, unfortunately this is a speculators market so the price doesn't reflect the tech ya know?

Is it possible you could elaborate a little bit in somewhat laymans terms what cryptoconditions are and how they effect cross chain smart contracts?
Cryptoconditions: https://www.ietf.org/id/draft-thomas-crypto-conditions-04.txt<------in simple terms please?
