441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: [Bounty] Ankorus - Evolution of E*Trade,Coinbase & Tether 3.000.000 ANK=7500 ETH on: January 06, 2018, 07:18:48 PM
Hello, manager! Is that true this bounty campaign is over? It's says the project wasnt get soft cap but twitter and facebook are still alive, so I don't know if we should repost more or just stop and wait for issue?

The ICO wasn't a success but they are refunding investors and continuing the project on their own funds trough loans. You should check into telegram. If you have stakes on the bounty spreadsheet you should still expect to get paid in ANK tokens. Not sure if the campagne is over though. You should contact BestWebCreator about that.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Churchill report by Stansberry research...A good buy? on: January 06, 2018, 07:12:28 PM
I got an ad for the Churchill report, valued at $49 for a no-risk trial. It told me he has access to the "elite" 1% cryptotraders who know the prices of all the hot cryptos, and what to buy. He told me I'd make 10000% profit on some penny cryptos. Should I buy it and follow the hype, or should I just wing it on my own?

The last time I winged it I decided not to buy PACcoin, and look where that got me.

I think any paid researcher wouldn't promise you exact % profits if he's legit and professional. PBC for example is a pretty big investment advisor in crypto and they do stocks aswell. But they never promise returns, they just try to help you build a portofolio with their expertise and possible insider knowledge. Often they will make a return for their readers who pay good money, sometimes a crypto doesn't deliver those returns. I think they're pretty succesfull but their way of conduct isn't based on promises and greeding up their readers who will then buy out of FOMO.

I think this Churchill report is getting on the greedy sides of traders, I don't really get where the value of such a report comes from? 49$? If you COULD promise returns of 100x with guarrantees then wouldn't your info be worth a lot more than 49$? Which seems to be just about the price range that investors without a deep pocket could afford. I wouldn't really trust it, but if you got it for free you might aswell take a chance with a tiny bit of money, if they do go 100x well then you got a nice return, even if you put in only 50$. And if it turns out to be bullshit then atleast you won't lose a lot.

Also i'm not sure if that's entirely legal to promise exact returns... advisory is alright but once they start saying; ''you can make this much money if...'' Then i'd be very cautious.
443  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monkey Project (MONK) x100 - Small Cap, Huge Potential - x100 on: January 06, 2018, 07:01:24 PM
Monkey Project (MONK) is only trading on Cryptopia right now.

It has an extremely small marketcap of roughly $400,000, but a solid development team. They recently applied for listing on Yobit and more exchanges are coming online in the next little bit. ALSO there website is being released within the next few days so be prepared for a surge.

They are a POW/POS hybrid and have a strong discord channel if you want to check them out.

Trading at $4.21 usd right now with a $421,000 market cap.

I would think a marketcap of $40,000,000 is very feasible, possibly $80,000,000 by April. I don't like speculation all that much, but this team has been building under the radar for a while now. It's only a matter of time before it launches.

Check out their discord and their site (when it's updated in the next 2 days). I'll comment again when 1000% gain has occurred over the coming weeks.

Right... but tell me what does this coin do? What is it for? Any added value or just one like many others that soley exist in the hope of a pump and profit? Any new tech? Anything innovative being done? Would check it out myself but the website is down.

444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Good Marijuana coins are? on: January 05, 2018, 05:12:01 AM

I'm a fan of Pot, Dope, Thc & Cann coins.
I always get massive profit every time it pump very hard.

Anyone who knows a big events of marijuana? Coz i believe
Every event of this herbal affects the chart of this coin.

I'm not familiar with Potcoins but from what I do know is that most of them we're started from the POV that if the federal government raids a dispenser the money is in crypto and thus inaccessible, the people buying from dispenseries can use crypto because its in their advantage the dispensery can keep operating. I might be wrong on this and there's more behind it. But legalisation, full legalisation of marijuana is not far away and depending on the business model of these potcoins it might mean the end of their potcoins.
445  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: The Psychology of Crypto Currencies - I Find it Fascinating on: January 04, 2018, 11:46:43 PM
I really don't want to rub the noses of people who are going to lose everything in this, it's just a comment on human psychology and how it never, ever changes.

We sit here today in front of our laptops or smart phones, with running water, incredible advances in medicine, eletric cars, and we've been to the moon, and we convince ourselves that we're "better" and "smarter" than our forebears, but you know what - we aren't.

There are very few people who truly innovate, the rest of us might own a smart phone - but we have no clue how it works, we might be connected to the internet, but we couldn't have built it.

Most people are no more advanced than people were 300 years ago, you could have given them a laptop and shown them how to use it, or taght them to drive an electric car, etc - just because that technology wasn't available to them doesn't make them dumber than we are.

But Human nature - that never changes, the endless cycle of people caught up in "get rich quick schemes", from the tulipomania, the south sea bubble, John Law destroying the French economy (in the early 1700's where French people wanted mass immigration "because we need {a lower class of } people to do the jobs we don't want to do - now that we're all rich"), the dot com boom, the housing bubble, and now the crypto-bubble.

It's happened before, it's happening now, and it will doubtless happen again ad nauseum - people in general are not capable of critical thinking, they are emotional thinkers.

They jump in on the way up so as to "not lose out" (and greed), and then bail out on the way down out of fear.

The TV shows here in the UK basically advising people to get into buy to let properties using borrowed money were scandal, the idea - with no skill, knowledge, thought, or money - you can become rich, rich, RICH!

I knew one guy an ex bouncer and as thick as two short planks who proudly told me he was a property millionaire - he couldn't seem to understand that £1 million of mortgages makes him in debt to a million, not the other way around - he lost it all.

And that's the thing, it's a big game played by the wealthy to redistribute your money (and the money you borrowed) to them.

I hope no one got their fingers burnt too much, but I imagine in the media soon will be the tales of woe of people who have lost it all to crypto currencies and that will be that, until the next time when it's tulips or some other wonderful new innovation.

Like electric cars - I know a guy ho has invested £100K in a scheme that will make electric car chargers obsolete within 10 years - he expects to get back at least £20 million - I told him he's been scammed and will get back nothing - he didn't like it.

I guess I'm saying the world is full of suckers - don't be one of them.

Good luck everyone.

Meh you're right, i'm quite into human psychology myself. And its quite interesting to see people with no investing experience start investing. But you got to understand basically every market moves in and out of bubbles, crypto is just like that. Crypto will have some crashes, some severe crashes and some hardcore runs... as it has basically always done since the moment it came on the market for people to trade.

Not entirely sure if you came here just to tell us not to be one of the suckers losing it all but it doesn't really make sense to not participate at all. You don't have to put in a lot of money or go into debt (which is just fucking stupid) but if you could get a new laptop out of it, or maybe a cool vacation you really wanted to do.. then thats fine right? A lot of people are fortuneseekers here, and some have found theirs and others lost it, some got it and lost it just as quick as they accumulated it if not quicker.

You got plenty of people screaming revolution, new paradigm and such things. I'm a bit more cautious with those statements as history will repeat. We might see blockchain being adapted worldwide for businesses, governments and charity.. but the idea that everyone will be rich of this is indeniably wrong.
446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Campaigns & Airdrops on: January 04, 2018, 11:32:02 PM
Hello, bitcointalk members)
I have some interesting questions for You:
Whats is Airdrop in your personal opinion?
What is the biggest diffrenece between earning by bounty campaigns and airdrops?
What way of earning would you choose and why?
Is there any good expierence with bounty campaings even if ICO was scam?
Thak You for response)!

Hello,

An Aidrop is either distribution method for a new project or a marketing tool for existing/new projects.
With bounty campagnes you provide work (time) and take their token as payment, for airdrops you often only need to sign up, so its free.
I'd go with both, why limit yourself?
Bounty campagnes can be really great, but in my personal experience its a hassle everytime. Some bounty programs don't pay, or turn out to be a scam or simply don't meet their targets and disband the project meaning your valueable time goes to waste. The bounties that do make it and pay you can be quite rewarding. I used to do translation bounties but 7/10 didn't make it and I decided to go with signature only from then. It really sucks when it turns out a project didn't get on the market and you wasted all that time for nothing.

Also bounty campagnes can be very disorganised and it can lead to confusion and frustration for a participant.
447  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How high can we go?? Marketcap on: January 04, 2018, 11:18:15 PM
The sky is the limit or shall I say the limit is the sky??/ At the peak of the dot com bubble, the market value was around 5 trillion USD... If we use that as a yard stick, the cryptocurrency bubble is more likely to go even higher than that.

Likely, crypto is more accessible so more money can flood in..
448  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum payment not going trough - been 7 hours now on: January 04, 2018, 10:36:38 PM
there is possible to cancel your transaction records i remember , you can use myetherwallet to use this fauction

https://www.myetherwallet.com/#check-tx-status

at the bottom you can see this

Cancel or Replace Transaction
- Unlock your wallet to replace your transaction. (But, please be careful)
How would you like to access your wallet?
 Metamask / Mist
 Ledger Wallet
 TREZOR
 Digital Bitbox
 Keystore / JSON File
 Mnemonic Phrase
 Private Key
  Parity Phrase

 Wink

Alright thanks, but I don't see any option for cancelling.. I'll wait it out till tomorrow see what happens, if it still didn't come trough I will try to cancel or replace it. I'll try google with this.
449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum payment not going trough - been 7 hours now on: January 04, 2018, 10:28:39 PM
Hello, anyone know what to do? I send ethereum to an address https://etherscan.io/tx/0x9a748ea4a026a70adef2363f2ed5835ba960f08f1108f5cc389c504aa4bf64ff

It isn't coming trough and the pending time keeps resetting. I used 200k Gas limit.

Just wait it out or is there some way I can speed this up?
Increase the GAS price is the best way to speed it up. Try it again using 30 gwei, it will be more faster to include the transaction into a block on ethereum blockchain.

How do I do that? Just send the transaction again? Or do I need to go somewhere to add a fee? Or?

451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic: Darkhorse of 2018? on: January 04, 2018, 09:28:52 PM
Ethereum classic is up over 16% in the past 24 hours and is having a great deal of interest again this year.

Ethereum classic was a fork of the Ethereum blockchain that happened after the DAO hack in 2016 and views itself as a "censorship" resistant version of Ethereum. They also are against the notion of central planning that they see in the Ethereum chain.

https://www.coinbureau.com/analysis/ethereum-classic-etc/

Could it be a good hedge of Ethereum this year?

We can also see that there is a great deal of developer progress on the coin as the amount of commits to the Github repo is higher than Ethereum and a number of other coins.

Would you invest in ETC?

No I personally wouldn't invest in ETC and I feel like SkyCoin is the real dark horse.
452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: naga token distribution on: January 04, 2018, 03:27:14 AM
hi, i bought naga in ico period and made eth20 wallet after updating the address i received mail from naga that your address has been received and u will receive your token in 24 hours. Its been 11 days and it is still showing that distribution is pending. I am trying to contact naga team and they are not replying. I made the erc20 wallet for my friend the same way i made mine and they received their token next day now i am confused any one can help.

Did you add the token as custom token to your MEW address? Might be the case that you had it all along but it wasn't showing cause you didn't add it manually.

Whats the reason you say Civic is a scam? Seems to be a pretty promising project imo... especially as this space matures further.
454  Other / Off-topic / Laptops (need advice) on: January 04, 2018, 02:57:24 AM
Hello I'm looking to get a new laptop tomorrow can anyone help? I'm going to use the laptop for:

1. Cryptocurrency trading
2. Storing cryptocurrency
3. Research and information
4. Gaming: Counter strike global offensive Cheesy I have bought this game a long time ago but never could play it because of my computer I currently have. I really want to just play for a little bit, turn on my mic and scream ''lick my balls'' when I kill someone and possibly teabag them  Roll Eyes

I have about €800,-  €1500,- to spend on a good laptop. Can someone recommend me a laptop? No Apple, Windows is preferred. A good brand that I can trust and is reliable, something that's fast and I can have a nice experience on. A good video card is very much welcome aswell.

What's the best laptop brand in your opinion (besides Apple)? Also can you recommend me an Anti-virus thats really good? I don't mind paying a good amount of money for something that can protect me from keyloggers and other malware/spyware.

Thanks!
455  Other / Beginners & Help / New Laptop on: January 03, 2018, 11:38:35 PM
Hello guys, I need a new laptop. What brand is in your opinion the best? I need something of quality, I will mainly use the laptop for anything crypto related, not going to game on it or anything but it would still be nice if it is high speed and high quality.

Owyeah.. no Apple please. Not familiar with it and reluctant to become familiar.
456  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Missed the boat on Cardano? on: January 03, 2018, 06:36:41 PM
I am holding since 0.12 $ so can't complain but I think it is overpriced now. They actually don't have a working product, it is sitting in the top 5 based on pure speculation right now.

Cardano is going to be used for enterprise solutions such as certificates on the blockchain, been looking at an ICO planning to do the same but now I'm doubtfull about investing really. I got high hopes for Cardano even though I sold long ago at 50cents.
457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vote for your Favourite Coin on: January 03, 2018, 02:07:54 PM

Choose your favourite Coin and comment here and describe why you like this.

1: Bitcoin - BTC

2: Litecoin - LTC

3: Ethereum - ETH

4: Monero - XMR

5: DASH - DSH

What is this like the American election where you only get to pick from approved candidates in the primary? My favorite is not on this list but I guess my coin is not a Democrat or Republican but Independent. But as we know independents are banned form the Fakestream TV debates. Whatever I'll stick to my underdog coin.

Yeah I'm going with this answer, I actually expected a limited set of options form the top 10 or something.
458  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help setting targets. How to calculate a 100x return? on: January 03, 2018, 03:15:51 AM
I am looking to set a profit goal for some coins. How is a 1x, 5x or 100x return calculated?

Well there are only estimations, best is to look at marketcap and what it realistically could do.

Lets say you invest in a dApp platform, the biggest would be Ethereum; which sits at an 85billion marketcap (phew thats a lot!)
Then we got another which is NEO which sits at 5 billion.

If we'd sum up all the dApp platforms together, we get a total marketcap of dApp platforms. You can try to realistically assess how much of a marketshare your dApp platform could take. Lets stick to the NEO and ETH example of 90 billion total.

Lets say they manage to take 10% then we're looking at 9 billion marketcap for your dApp platform. Divide the 9billion by the current marketcap of your dApp platform you're investing in. Lets say the current marketcap is 400 million so. 9/0,4= 22,5x

(9bln/0,4bln)

So your coin COULD go 22,5, lets say its 3 dollars then 22,5x3= 67,5 per token.

But this is mainly all guesswork really. There's no real good way to say how high it can go. Lets take NEO, a lot of quality projects are being produced but the marketcap is still relatively low compared to Ethereum, maybe thats a sign its undervalued for where its currently at? So thats a buy signal at least.

But just trying to give you an illustration of how you could assess profitability. There are other methods aswell though.

Take this all with a grain of salt though.
459  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin ownership on: January 03, 2018, 03:07:23 AM
Hello everyone… So how long did it take you to acquire your first BTCitcoin? I started investing into cryptocurrency about 4 months ago and have been sticking to a portfolio of 70% bitcoin and 30% altcoins.

If you want an interesting discussion about this then I suggest this dedicated subforum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=67.0

This board (Beginners & Help) is mainly for newbies who are trying to figure something out, not really a discussion board for gains and crypto diversification.

You bought it without having information on it? I don't have any information actually but you, you are a wild cowboy my friend Shocked

Can't always hurt, I sometimes buy coins purely on their name. Marketing is everything my friend, its not what you have its how you present it.
