How old input should be for POS?
Is there maximum weight for POS? And how it is calculate?
about 3.5 hours
Maximum weight of network = total number of coin in circulation

You mean to say:

Maximum weight of network = total number of coin in circulation staking .. ?

The maximum weight will be the total coins I circulation as in theory they could all be staking at the same time. Won't happen as people leave there coins on exchanges

maximum network weight in wallet atm is approx 0.5 mil.. where are the other coins? surely, the othe 0.9mil are not on exchange?

The figure on the exchange is impossible to know for, obviously, many people hold coins there with the purpose of selling the at some point but not necessarily listed for sale right now. As a matter of fact, less than 200k are listed for sale at all kind of prices. The figure in the Maximum network weight can be misleading for several logical -and others than I don't understand- reasons. For instance, although all my coins, are mature, my network weight is roughly 15% below the coins I actually have "staking". I would imagine that the maximum network weight of 0.5 mill would also be off at least by 15%, probably more. One of the reasons that I understand is that the mined coins -and it is a significant number- are not mature until 4 hours after being mined; other reason would be the coins in movement towards the exchange and from the exchange. In any event the maximum network weight oscillates between low 400k and low 700k during the day, which is a big oscillation and the reasons for it could be a combination of all of the above. I don't suppose -but it is always possible- people will already have significant amounts in cold storage, not staking, but whatever some people has, it would also contribute to the difference.

I'm guessing cold storage might be the reason for the difference then...

I believe, as stated, it could be one (minimal, at this stage) of the factors, not even the main by a long shot. Why would people skip the current benefits of POS? I just don't believe that would be the case in a significant figure. The others factors, on aggregate, no doubt account for the bulk of the difference.

This has been answered many times, but I don't remember the specifics and IT IS NOT clearly visible in the website (I haven't been able to find it there): Exactly what information of the referrer have to input the claimants so the referrer gets the 10% bounty. If I recall correctly, the bounty is only for the first year and paid every 6 months?

Thanks for the answer!

I wonder why barabbas is defending this coin? The signs of possible scam are there, and i do believe this pnd team guy actually knows something.

You like to wonder, don't you? I have never "defended" (didn't know it was under attack...) this coin (project). I see the red flags probably better than anyone else, and have posted many times pointing them out. I remain on the fence -and have posted repeatedly so-, because of those red flags BUT, at the same time, I find this project, potentially, one of the most compelling in recent times. That's why I am following with interest -and with a modest investment-. But there are many, many, many things that have to happen long before I would "defend" it (in case someone attacks it).

Back to the fence.

Wow just looked at the topwallets
There are no topwallets left, what vould be the reason to unload their bag?

There's a possibility that they have moved part of their coins to their desktop wallets to stake, don't you think? I mean volume has been very, very low after all...

Nice, nice. Doing better.

I don't know who is dumping but the two main wallets, among others, at bittrex, are reducing their numbers significantly albeit quite orderly. There's no dump. Not yet, anyway.

That's much better. But I know you can do much, much better yet.

Nice try trying to hide 10 Million coins in 1 block u scammer thats 100% premine  Grin

You need to add a GIF meme, otherwise no one would even look at your post, let alone pay any mind to it. I keep telling you.... be creative man!

Nah, normal market oscillation. This thing is not even on the radar of most people just yet...

Why should be on radar. Because of large gpu instamine  Huh

Every and I repeat EVERY coin that has said to be CPU only has eventually had GPU's able to mine them more efficiently.  At least with Axiom there is not even much increase with GPU mining and CPUs can still compete especially because they are more energy efficient.

The CPU/GPU memory-hard issue has been looked at by the best minds in crypto for 2-3 years...
These guys are not gonna improve on the present best case.

The only question is not technical, but business...

(a) Whether these guys can shrewdly build a Large Cap Coin?

(b) Same question another way = Are these guys playing the Long Game?

P&D... Big Dev holding is bad

Long Game... Big Dev holding is good

I'm going to disagree on the first part, the foregone conclusion: As of now, even with the obvious bump in the road, no one, to my knowledge, has come even close to offer the regular CPU user the possibility of create some decent amount of coins out of thin air with his usual desk top or laptop. No one. I don't know how many of those "best minds" in crypto have looked at the "issue", the reality is what I just posted. And it is simply remarkable. If somehow they get to even the game in the new update, making actually more profitable to mine with the CPU than with the GPUs, that would be simply an amazing TECHNICAL achievement.

The answers to the other questions range from the obvious (no, they alone cannot build a Large Cap Coin -although you would have to define "Large Cap"... $ 1 million? $ 5 million?-, but the community, along with them, could very well be able to do it), to the purely speculative, therefore it is THE big question. But, for now at least, the fundamentals of what could be a very compelling project, seem to be on the table. Only time (and developments) would get the proper answers to the speculation.
450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PotCoin | GROW WITH US | CRITICAL WALLET UPDATE - POSv | on: August 06, 2015, 12:13:58 AM
sry noob question. i see I can stake coins. but whats interest? how much do i earn?

%5 percent interest/year, but POSv hasen't kicked in yet. It will be about a week or so.

We have 16 days give or take till it kicks in. The stake rate is 5%, but I believe that with this being POSv 2.0 there is code for it to split the 5% of the total money supply among those actively staking, if I am correct, that means that if 50% of the coins are actively staking then the effective rate for those coins would be 10%, this is a decent incentive to get the coins off the exchanges and actively staking. I looked through the code and I think I found the relevant chunk of data but I am not a code monkey, if someone who understands source better than I could look through it and confirm, that would be awesome.

It would be very nice if we can get this confirmed...

It would be very nice to have confirmation, though my reasoning for it being in there is pretty solid. Laudney, the creator of POSv and one of the creators of reddcoin, said that POSV2 would include this code as well as other enhancements, with potcoin having posted that they implemented POSV2.0, I am fairly certain that it is indeed a part of the code.

As I already said, if a friendly code monkey could look through the source and confirm that it is indeed there, or not, I will buy you a redbull or maybe even a 4pack Wink

Given that the difference is so significant, I can't understand why the devs have not chimed in here to dispel all doubts...

Meanwhile, wallets at the top in trex keep on trimming holdings... Selling or getting them to the wallets for staking? Volume is up and price stable. All seems ok while we wait. And wait. And wait...

I don't know if this is allowed but it's definitely not spam either, since it costs nothing. I very rarely recommend any coin project, so I am neither recommending nor endorsing this one in any way, but I never found anything wrong with FREE: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1goJMI3Re5MIUdVm8RyvOjo2og0VpXkbukcSaOq9pdr4/viewform?c=0&w=1

now on the lowest reward on the block...

will wait for next reward range,so will grab some to accumulate ..

i love axiom,,any news regarding GPU mining?

Most people is positioning themselves for that extremely brief period of high rewards coming. It will only be 25k blocks or so on each POW and POS, but the average of those is 16 times current rewards, so it's going to be great. You will need max coinage to fully take advantage and, if POS is here -as should be- long before it starts, CPUs should be the ONLY ones mining POW coins. We'll see, but looks extremely promising in that regard, so I will be lock and loaded...
