461  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cross addictions is Just as Bad. on: October 13, 2023, 04:53:56 PM
If you are addicted seek a solution and not a substitution or an alternative addiction. In the short-term a cross addiction Mason to alleviate the mane addiction problem but if you look at it critically it is really solving nothing you are just stuck in one loop of addiction. We should always consider the long-term effect of addictions and not just the short-term relief we get when we get a replacement addiction.
462  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: October 13, 2023, 04:32:17 PM
I'd like to share my experience with you all. Even though I'm not currently employed, I went through a phase of gambling while I was working in the past, and the outcome wasn't positive. It affected my job performance because, as you may know, when you lose, you tend to dwell on your losses and constantly think about strategies to win. When we talk about work, it usually means we're not particularly wealthy, and imagine what happens when we gamble money we can't afford to lose, especially when we're not earning much.

I'd like to hear from those of you who have experienced this or are still dealing with it. Please share your testimonies.

This did not particularly happen to me but to someone who is very close. He is a gambler an addict at that and was somehow employed in the finance department of his company. Gamblers and finance or money do not mix and because he did not disclose his gambling problem to his employers no one knew how much he suffered from this addiction. This person would alter financial accounts to embezzle money just to fulfill his gambling urge. He continued stealing from the organisation coffers until an audit was made and it was noticed that monies were missing and he was the main suspect. He was later arrested and  through family intervention he was released and fired from his workplace. His family made effort to get him to be rehabilitated and I think he's making good progress right now.
463  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are We Need Satoshi? on: October 13, 2023, 04:03:17 PM
There is a lot of controversy about the emergence of satoshi on social media and other websites. I still don't know, what the purpose of someone creating this idiot riot on the internet is. Because for me, I don't need Satoshi anymore, bitcoin still exists (even bigger) with or without Satoshi.
Faketoshis are showing up everywhere on the internet for several reasons best known to them. I like to think that in the Bitcoin community we have moved past the phase of wanting or needing satoshi. Right now he's of no functional used to us even if he shows up.

Quote
Many people are afraid if Satoshi shows up today, he will change the source code and tear down Bitcoin blockchain. that is the stupidest thinking I ever hear. Because bitcoin is a public, and have community that cannot be changed by just one person.

Satoshi will not do anything to bitcoin source code if he shows up today and even if he tries to, he cannot because he has to go through the consensus to effect any change and that is not an easy process.

Quote
Many people are afraid if Satoshi shows up today, he will be sold his (million bitcoin, there is no evidence yet) he has.
So, what is he waiting for not having sold it on ATH before?.

Satoshi is more concerned about living a quiet life right now and not wanting to do anything that would upset the natural growth of Bitcoin. If he shows up right now there's going to be a bounty on his head from several governments that is what I like to think that could happen to him.

Quote
we don't need Satoshi, let him become a legend for his name, we have to thank to him for making the greatest thing in this century. I will be the 1st person agree if he gets the Nobel Prize. But, for emergence today, I'm the first person who doesn't believe it.
Satoshi shorecrest we do not need him we right now I taken the lead and pushing this project forward to its maximum potential.
464  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a strategy to lose on: October 12, 2023, 06:24:55 PM
Gambling is based on luck for real but that doesn't mean you should be dividing your attention into poker, soccer, horse racing, or roulette all at once, you need to choose a side and learn everything you can about the game. This is the mistake that many gamblers are making, they believe since it's all about luck they should expand the possibility to get lucky and it always end up badly for them.
The games that you have mentioned is hard to see a successful gambler who have won money from casino be a master at all of them. What did they say you're about jack of all trades? Yes a jack of all trades is a master of none. I can also say a jack who is a gambler of all gambling games is a master of none. I know some people who say that for games like slots you don't really need any skill but remember that even slot games have themes. And believe me you there slot games where the RNG are for some are higher than the others.  You can only know this if you have focused your attention on playing slots.
465  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Chess playing with it's potentials to enhance mental productiveness to trading. on: October 12, 2023, 04:25:54 PM

3* Patient and perserverance: This is a time of emerging patient to disciplinary Concordia coordinations where constructive ideas of taking lead against the market challenge is adopted for a decisive and attentive monitorship for adequate productive timing by mentally devising detailed trades planning.
Like people would say... "Patient is virtue" which the system of chess playing is potentialed to factorize your patient ness to structuring your trading logistics system.

The most crucial aspect in this comparison and analogy is the aspect of patience and self-awareness. With patience and self-control or self-awareness you know that you do not have to react emotionally but with logic and rational thinking is what should guide your next move. You do not let your emotions swing here and there like a thermometer rather you make decisions a rationally.
466  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Don’t push playing more on: October 12, 2023, 03:35:58 PM
Have a break and just gamble newt week or month because a lucky game will make you win easily and not with a very hard to win winning condition.
We do not often talk about the mental stress that comes with gambling and it is even double when you gamble everyday. I take breaks from gambling and it is fine and I recommend it to all my friends who are also gamblers. And it does not matter whether you are betting $10 or $20 everyday take a break. More gambling during a losing streak will not make you win. When you rest from gambling for a day or two or more you return totally refresh and with better clarity.
467  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I can’t cope on my own. What do you think I should do? on: October 12, 2023, 03:03:08 PM
What exactly is the difference between those who create telegram channels to share sport bet tips and signals and those who just accept them hook-line-and-sinker? The difference I see here is that the admin of the group who shares this tips put in the work while The others who can also put in the work just decides to be consumers. This is not hard to learn because you already have some level of experience and you can gather knowledge about it and do your own betting yourself.

Everyone has a losing experience tale to tell and yours is no different but you should not be beaten down by yours that you are afraid to get back up. Losing is part of the game and winning is also part of the game but all of them is all about strategy and that is what I feel that you are missing out on.

I tell you success in sports betting is a marathon and not a sprint more like the iron Man marathon.
468  Economy / Economics / Re: How to reduce the price of goods on: October 11, 2023, 11:59:20 PM
I have been thinking and trying to analyze what is really causing the high cost of food in Nigeria, I came to realize that monopoly is the major factors, Nigeria government are the enablers. How can one person be the sole major distributor, government should welcome competition in the business sector, every business person should be allowed to produce.
There would always be Monopoly and there is nothing that anyone can do about it. Monopoly in itself is not bad as it helps to balance out all the aspects of the economy. Other parts of the economy should develop as fast as Monopoly can it will give it. For a particular product that has been monopolized there's always a better option out there or a better way to bring down that one. Monopoly would help it competitors to be able to think outside the box and use innovative strategies to win the market favourite
469  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Relying on gamble wins is dangerous to mental health on: October 11, 2023, 10:37:05 PM
Gambling if it is not curtailed will mess up the mental health of The Gambler. It is not a side hustle it is a very risky investment that a lot of people carry out with levity and expect a different outcome each time. I am going about the mental health aspect if you are not strong full company quit it immediately for the sake of your mental health and for all those in your family.
470  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Not keeping records makes me a bad gambler? on: October 11, 2023, 09:14:11 PM
A responsible gambler should be able to keep records of his or her gambling routine, activities, expenses and what have you. This record keeping could be done formerly or informally using  a paper and pen or more technological advanced medium out there. There are many apps out there that could help you to keep record of whatever gambling expenses that you are making and people keep records for several reasons you just have to know why you are keeping such gambling records and do it thoroughly. But it does not mean that you are a bad person if you are not keeping a gambling record now the only means that you have to pay close attention to your gambling.

And through the watch list button you get easily notified of a new topic via email and you can quickly respond to the topic and be on the first page. It is a pretty cool feature and I'm making the most out of it.
472  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is a Standing Desk the Right Choice for Traders? on: October 11, 2023, 05:44:49 PM

But here's a question for you, fellow Bitcointalk traders: Does standing really help make better and faster decisions in the high-speed trading world?
No. Standing there for me or was only health benefits. You can be standing and make terrible decisions if your focus for attention is divided.

Quote
Have you tried it, and did it work for you?
Yes I have. What worked for me was reduced back and joint pain. In addition more blood flow to my feets and less swelling of my veins. Nothing to do with my trading attention and focus.

Quote
Or do you believe that the comfort of a super ergonomic chair is the key to staying sharp during those long trading hours?
It plays a role but it is not the main thing. All these just enhance.the trading experience. This is my opinion. Some other person opinion may be different.
473  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ever heard about financing a gambler? on: October 10, 2023, 04:02:19 PM
My gambling budget is 10% of my income very small money which I may or may not be willing to risk if I have been having a bad time gambling. I'll definitely need two or four witness during our agreement.
It's good to try out new things. The only gamble I'll finance though is sports betting. And this my friend must fulfill some certain conditions like being very knowledgeable about the sports we'll agree for him to bet on.

If it is money I can afford to lose why not give it a try.
474  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How often is your luck in gambling? on: October 10, 2023, 03:46:30 PM
How about you guys, are you having a good fortune on your gambling career? Do you ever think of quitting after you won a jackpot?
I have had the hand of luck shine on me in some of my games or any casino. Most times I go in there not expecting to win a huge amount of money but just something little sort of like a compensation and once or twice I have happened to hit the jackpot. My jackpot I mean that I want a amount that I did not expect. I haven't played the lottery yet maybe someday I'll try it out but for now I am stuck with regular casino games and sports betting.
475  Economy / Economics / Re: It doesn't increase purchasing power on: October 10, 2023, 03:01:23 PM
Meme coins may have been produced in larger quantities but meme coins as well as cryptocurrencies cannot beat the dollar when it comes to stability, trust, and value. Now look at the gold supply theory and the petrodollar theory which you have called for to be eliminated. Do you think our fiat currencies would be enjoying its stability if we didn't have these? It was the only option before crypto and even though it needs to be upgraded in my opinion to fit our current world, I don't think it should be eliminated.
476  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can somebody make a successful career in gambling on: October 10, 2023, 12:51:45 PM
As the gambling industry is evolving, I think innovations would have kicked in that can make someone create a career from gambling. I do not know how this can be achieved but I feel it is possible.

Making gambling a full time job might be seen as risky but I still feel one can make gambling full time job and a career.

What do you all think?
Why not you can make a career out of anything including gambling. I once watched an interview video of a man who who was a professional gambler. All he did was dress up in the morning and sit his computer and Gamble. It is a risky career option to pick because it entails a lot of losing but then there are other ways to make money out of it other than gambling full-time.

To achieve this,  you need a lot of experience and you need to be able to choose which of the games you would gamble on. I do not think that anyone can be a sports bettor and also a professional slot player or poker player all at once. You have to pick one and stay with it. That's what would give you the greatest chance of succeeding as a gambler.
477  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: October 09, 2023, 11:05:33 PM
Boys. It is time to quit gamble. I created a topic about taking gambling as a major income or not and fought a lot of kind people who held an opposite point. I own them a truly apology. I am sorry. No matter who you are, gambling is only for fun. Never take it as income at anytime.
You can easily have fun while gambling but is is easier said than done. If you are reading to this and want to quit then you need to wait no more. Quit it now and be happy for the rest of your life or delay and suffer bouts of sadness and depression every now and then.

Quit of the gambling was not the easy one, because the addiction to the gambling will not come.So if the gambler get into the addiction because of the big win or big loss. The gambling addiction had their own reason. So the gambler won’t get away from the gambling until he achieve the big win,if he get gambling addiction because of the big loss in the previous games. The gambler can reduce the addiction to the gambling by reducing the number of games per day. Then he can reduce the number of game per week and then reduce number of games per month to get away from the gambling addition.
This takes a lot of effort. For the gambler to discipline himself to live by his own set rules to be able to fight his addiction is hard. I think that it is not a journey for an addict to go alone. He or she needs some support from family, friend and a community of people with the same goal.
478  Economy / Economics / Re: Binance Launches UK Domain in Compliance with New Financial Promotions Rules on: October 09, 2023, 09:59:08 PM
We know that Binance is the largest exchange in the world. This exchange has launched a domain for United Kingdom users to facilitate their financial promotion. Their development series has been published in 6 block posts and is scheduled to start from October 4. read more here
These are baby steps towards crypto regulation. Buying us as an exchange has been at the forefront of several Court battles. I see them as an honest organisation who wants to do the right thing so it is a positive sign for them launching a UK domain. I expect all the countries to very soon ask crypto exchange organization operating in within their shores to used their own custom domain names. This could be part of the citizens protection act. To encourage their citizens to have more trusts I'm these exchanges. Anyways, I think more gives more room for dada mining.
479  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are You Tax Efficient With Your Gambling Habbits? on: October 09, 2023, 09:41:08 PM

We don't have this in our country and I don't include it in my tax report I'm not a whale and I never made a profit from my gambling I win some but most of the time I lose and I don't want to deduct my losses to my tax, gambling for me is only recreational, our government does not charge taxes to small time gamblers but it's different when you win a lottery which the favorite gambling form in our country.
They deduct 20% from your winning of course since the government run the casino and lottery they targeted big winners instead of small bettors.
Tax is good for the society sure I believe that everyone should pay tax we want your society to grow. Paying tax from your casino winnings and even losses is the right thing to do at every Gambler should pay their tax if they will live in an environment where this is compulsory.

We shouldn't evade taxes today and talk how government bad tomorrow.

Casino slot themes are very relatable if you enjoy watching movies. They are also quite exciting and interesting and out fun and sweetness to the game. My favourite casino game providers are the pragmatic ones I don't know why I like them so much but they are the most popular slot providers.
I like Fishing slots. Big Bass Bonanza is my top pick - had a huge win there once.
