481  Bitcoin / Project Development / Why are there no BTT Discord bot? on: November 07, 2020, 01:38:32 PM
I'm just thinking of an idea of developing a Bot in Discord where it can do the same thing as the current Telegram Super Notifier Bot by TryNinja[1]. yet I lack of knowledge when it comes to implementing a webscraper to be reactive in the BOT in any servers in Discord. If ever that there is already one in the making, I'd be please to contribute anything I could help with the programming (not really good tho, but willing to learn)

And if ever that idea still remains as an idea, I'd be delighted to start the project. Though I'm not really the full-stack developer (im just a stack-overflow developer lol Cheesy), I would try my best to make the project work and meet the success. Soon, I'll edit this thread with the idea and update with the progress as well.

482  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Kucoin launched P2P fiat trade for Philippine Peso on: November 07, 2020, 12:44:19 PM
As the title says, tinarget na din ng Kucoin ang mga Pinoy traders kagaya ng ginawa ng Binance.

Disregarding the hack na nangyari sa kanila kamakailan, maganda na din ito as added option for your trades.

Methods/Options:
  • Bank transfers
  • GCash
  • Paymaya

Tutorials:

(source)

Have you ever tried using GCash as deposit options? I'm just a little curious kasi kung gaano kataas yung fee ng paggamit ng GCash kasi I might try using Kucoin soon - as I see it being used din ng kapwa pinoy traders. Though hindi man ako totally mag fifiat exchange, I just wanted to atleast experience what's the volatility and risk naman ng trading ng Fiat compared sa Stocks and Crypto, at lalong mas itatry ko since supported na yung GCash. Since marami na ring time, I might try this with just a little capital. Sana lang hindi ganoon kalaki fee.
483  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] KEEP5R - Fake Team on: November 06, 2020, 06:42:49 PM
Most interesting thing is that this guys have wasted a lot of time to change these real faces by editing. I wanna give all credit to their editor who should start work for filmmakers. Unfortunately their fake team has been detected by you and now they are going to hire another photo editor for next project.

Another Impressive work done by you.

Indeed. Lol I guess this is the first scam project with fake team that really takes the editing too far. Seems that the project is still serious about one thing tho - scamming with some sprinkles of editing mastery.

Also, isn't the Keep[anynumber]R is too common now? AFAIK there was KP3R[1] while there was also KP4R[2], now there was KP5R? ROFL. Seems that the security idea of the legit KP3R had been copied by many trying hard scammers, as its price recenlty made a noise on the crypto space.

485  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: USDT Mixing and it's family of other coin scam attempt on: November 06, 2020, 02:40:02 PM
I wonder why some people don't first do thorough research before sending money to a mixing service. Like, who even mixes centralized stablecoins like USDT that can be froozen at any time regardless of the address the coins are sent to?
It's only after getting scammed, that when a victim starts searching online for any other scam related reviews connected to the service.

Indeed. I don't even think that such stable coins requires mixing. Also, their platform states that "Clean coins instantly.." Lol as if there is a legitimate justification of a 'dirty' coin. Yes, you can be traced once that you were linked on certain addresses that had any illegal activities and connection, but that wouldn't justify you as a 'dirty' holder, I mean, how can they even track you lol.

They even copy-paste their design and only change name of the coin and add different company logo on each website which doesn't make sense (what's correlation between mixing service, VPN and centralized exchange which hostile against mixer).

Well then it really is a thing when the UI are the same, but in fact, some legitimate platforms are being copied by the others without them knowing. Hence, this scammers still can have victims with such reasons.

BTW, isn't this fit for scam accusations? Yes, this is to enlight the 'Beginners', yet there is a room fit for such topics, for the general audiences.
486  Other / Meta / Re: Does the "defi" scam shit belong in Altcoin ANNs? on: November 06, 2020, 12:32:52 PM
Most of the projects tagged as "defi" are nothing but scam shit today, though "defi" as a technology itself has a lot of potentials, but just like some one already said here, there are lot of abusers of the system today and this is one of the reasons why defi hasn't gone far from where it is today.

Dude have you ever done any research? There are a lot of good and promising defi out there, yet sadly, the 'ideology' of projects nowadays had been affected by the past drastic incident where almost all of the project published in this forum was turned onto scam. DeFis are good in its general purpose. Yes, it could and would be use by those scammers that would take the popularity of such systems astheir advantage. But still, justifying almost any defi projects isn't reasonable at all. Better look at these dozens of listed defi coins that is already popular on the market: https://coinmarketcap.com/defi/

Btw, Defi or non-Defi, almost all the altcoins are scam and shitprojects just copying the same idea and doing partnerships with one another lmao. Have you seen any coin survive against their btc(sats) value in the long term ? All of them are pump and dump Wink
Even ETH is crap I'd say lol. (pls dont hate me for this ,hah!).
You're likely to loose money if you invest anywhere and forget, you have to be updated each day in crypto to survive.

Aren't all proposed projects back in 2018 and mid 2017 are more likely to be justified as a scam? Well, have you heard the success of Uniswap, not only its exchange but also their platform's initial token. Also, have you remembered that even Binance coin back then even gets some hate and false accusations? I mean, every existing platforms nowadays started from public offerings and project publications. How come that there had been tons of listed projects yet still the stereotype exists?  Huh

488  Economy / Services / Re: [hire] chrome extension development. JavaScript on: November 06, 2020, 09:26:28 AM
This extension is going to be on Chrome store, which means it's going to be clean and barely related to gambling.

Well that's another flaw, how come that a gambling platform hires an javascript developer to develop a browser extension that wouldn't really have any correlation with the gambling at all? Dude, not all extensions in chrome and published in Chrome Extension store are legitimate (note that there was an incident where Google bans approx 500 malicious extensions[1]) But it seems that you aren't that defensive and aggressive now, yet it wouldn't changes the fact that you are still having a scam issue... STILL.

489  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Skittle.club Shop (Cheap & Trusted Shop) on: November 05, 2020, 03:35:51 PM
Hello everyone!
Are you looking for cheap and HQ accounts?
You are on the right place!
Our shop is made on #1 Czecho-Slovakia hvh server website.
We are at the scene over 1.5 year and im the owner of the server and also seller on this shop.
I got lot of reputation about success trades / sellings.
SHOP: https://skittle.club/shop

OK, stating that you are 1.5 years in the scene is a good honesty as I've looked up your website in who.is and found you are registered around 2019. Good start, but I've just wondered, why just post your service now? Many are looking for such offers here in the forum.. BUT I'm a little worried with your statement that you've got a LOT of reputation, well looking at your discord server, you only have 10 members. (you've mentioned in your website that it's better to contact you first through discord) You're seem to be offering a legitimate service tho, will soon try this.

Note: please have an option to remove or just remove the background music in your website. Not all are fan of such music genre nor having music in browsing at all.
490  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: New website to Cryptocurrency by User Rating on: November 05, 2020, 01:33:33 PM
You will have hard time gaining more users because CoinGecko website for example have very good working website with like/rating feature and much more useful options.

Rating however can be easily faked with multiaccounting so I don't trust any rating very much, and I doubt many people will use website only related to crypto ranking.

Indeed. I don't know why the OP would still make a platform that is already common and having no different feature than the others. Crypto reviews are good, but not as good as Coinmarketcap -- as it all have the information with regards to any crypto listed in various exchange platforms. The OP seems to be trying to make a ripoff of it, but honestly if you are a coinmarketcap user, you'd know that it has a crypto rating feature - here's one: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ratings/

Overall looks are so similar to CMC, but honestly its not that of a big deal. What can make your platform different is of course make it look different and have a feature that is different. Yes you are focused on reviews that is requiring a registration (to prevent spamming a rate of shit coins), but have you tried to make a review on some developing token and inform people with YOUR OWN sights of real-life legitimate projects... for short you could also review tokens that is legit, meaning you must bust scam projects as well, and wouldn't depend on other users insights as many can be paid. just my idea Smiley
491  Economy / Services / Re: [hire] chrome extension development. JavaScript on: November 05, 2020, 12:20:59 PM
We are looking for someone who has experience creating browser extension for Chrome store. This job consists of 2 parts.

First of all, we'd like to mention that there is an idea, which should be approved and released with your help.
That means we should create technical requirements first, we have a list of desirable features, you will need to tell us what is possible to create on what tools/info/money is needed for that.

First, scamming dozens of people and still having an active flag... now a browser extension? Do you still think such accusations would still keep a possibility of you being trusted in the forum, or in overall crypto space? Even if you are trying to re-establish your image, you cannot do that by having an active flag and accusation. Also, would you think that with such flags, people would use your extension?? Everyone knows the risk of installing browser extensions, and how it can possibly be used for stealing data/credentials. What more with a platform that is already justified as a scam and would develop another 'idea' of implementing an extension. Lol.. still trying hard huh..

494  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: A New Market to Bet on Bitcoin Price - No Registration on: November 03, 2020, 01:01:05 PM
The amount you win is based on the size of your bet relative to the others on your same side. For example, if the price closes Over the spot price and you own 10% of all the purchased Over contracts, you will receive 10% of the total of the Under contracts.
Does it mean there will be no platform fees?

Contracts cannot be purchased in the final two hours before expiration.
Any purchases during the 10PM-12AM blackout will be considered a donation.
You might want to consider either hiding those addresses completely or simply censor a big portion of it upon reaching the last two hrs.

I guess there would be platform fees. They cannot earn if ever that they wouldn't at least take a little portion of an earning. As an alternative, they can also earn with just by taking a general proportion on the odds. Example, a user bets 10& yet the platform would only calculate that you can earn an 8% additional, depending ofcourse the volume of the bets in one side compared to others.

I just wanna ask OP, what if your system would somehow have a delay with dozens of instant bet a minute before the deadline? Example, 100 users bets at approx 09:59:30, and would your system have a delay or not? It can be a possible case, especially with the latency of your servers. Just a technical possible issue in case. Good idea tho.

Well, honestly, same lang din ng verification process. AFAIK, kapag gagamit or magtatransact ka with fiat (PHP to be exact), is needed din the KYC, in which same applies sa coins.ph, if and only if you wanted to be verified but then you can still use it without verification. But then with the convenience matter, I'm not too knowledgeable kung may feature ba ang Binance na meron ang Coins.ph such as direct send to various local banks and even other E-wallets, and if you can use your Binance as your wallet per se. Will definitely try Binance soon kapag may budget na Cheesy

Wow.

Siguro wala naman silang changes with this particular 'tipid tip'. Actually, if ever na baguhin nila yon and ibase naman ang price ng XRP sa lowest price nito (di naman kasi masyadong volatile kaya di rin ganon kalaki difference), baka magreklamo na ko Cheesy Kumbaga, at first aware naman sila (sana) noong inimplement nila yung XRP sa system nila, and with XRP having low fee through exchanging any crypto, so I guess malabo.

So far I've been using only XRP from exchanges to my coins.ph account kasi nga sa tipid naman din ng fee nito compare sa ibang supported currency na nasa coins.ph, nasa 5 Php lang yung fee from Binance > Coins.ph. If I were you OP try other conversions sa thread mo kasi merong iba na yung narereceive nila isn't usually from BTC for example may user na nakatanggap ng BCH or ETH (since yan lang naman yung other supported cryptocurrency na nasa coins.ph) so is it if best ba na i-convert it through XRP too or directly nalang sa PHP.

Will update this tomorrow dude. Salamat sa curiosity, pati ako napaisip kung ano nga din kalalabasan, but honestly, iilan lang din ata ang gumagamit ng BCH at ETH sa coins, especially ngayong green ang market, no one prefers to hold their money in their wallet. But still, try ko itong suggestion mo tom!

If ever na may suggestions or tips din kayo guys with regards to 'tipid tips' sa ating crypto transactions, keep it coming guys! I'll also try soon PDAX just to compare their transaction matters.
496  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it wise to deposit $ 100 in bitcoin before the united states vote? on: November 03, 2020, 10:39:31 AM

The 1040 tax form has this question right underneath the name section "“At any time in 2020, did you receive, sell, send, exchange, or otherwise acquire any financial interest in any virtual currency?”

That pretty much sums up the government's position. They know it exists. They want you to know that they know that you read that question. You will have to reply "Yes" to that question if you're filing taxes, even if just buying $100. The election has other implications like possible quantitative easing by the next president, but the tax implications are what you should know most. Death and taxes...

Wait wait wait... whuuut? America do have tax questions with a decentralized monetary system? AFAIK even if you buy bitcoin, by any wallet (like coinbase), you would only require to submit your documents upon verification right? Would that really be traceable that this person bought, nor send, exchange, or receive, that amount of crypto? What if they answered 'No'? Was it included in the 1040 tax form and the USA's tax law?

I'm just shocked that this exists. There are so many people whom pay taxes as well, but aren't pretty much aware that their crypto activities is also included in a tax form. But nonetheless, I guess even if the OP bought bitcoin before or after, it wouldn't really matter as long as he/she is aware with the basics of crypto, more especially its volatility and risks.

This can be applicable not just on the Coins.PH wallet app, but can also be applicable in many exchangers and wallets that supports conversion of BTC to XRP.

Yes! XRP ang tinutukoy ko rito. Let me tell you bakit ito ang recommended kong crypto kung gusto kong makatipid sa btc transaction fees and sa pagconvert from BTC to PHP (kung bakit kinoconvert ko pa sa XRP then to PHP)

Note: The screenshots attached below are taken at Nov. 03 - 08:15:02 AM of Philippine Time. Since the volatility of crypto is high, the prices indicated by the images attached were only have used for computation purposes, hence a subject to changes.(for short, iba man yung price, same padin ng idea hehe)

First of all, tignan muna natin kung ano ba ang conversion from BTC to PHP DIRECTLY. Example, I have approx .005 BTC and icoconvert ko to sa PHP,

Note that meron tayong makukuhang approx 3.2K PHP sa 0.005 na BTC. Next, tignan naman natin kung ilan makukuha nating XRP from BTC (same 0.005 BTC input),

Ngayon, subukan nating iconvert ang 295XRP natin to PHP, syempre gamit parin ang coins.ph para same ng fees if ever na meron man.

See! Meron tayong makukuhang 3.3K PHP if ever na gumamit tayo ng XRP as in between transaction from BTC to PHP. Why? And if you would sell BTC naman to XRP, I guess they only apply it based din sa transaction fee ng XRP (which is so low). So basically, if you were to convert BTC to PHP directly, they will use the lowest price as their lookup value.

However, some might think na hindi ito need and same would apply kasi andaming pakembot kembot ng transaction. Well, you'll be the judge. I just wanted to tell you how is it possible to at least have a little money saved from the BTC fee. Some may say na "its fine, onti lang naman kain eh". Well, totoo naman, pero such value (approx 100php saved) is too huge and useful na na magamit sa ibat ibang bagay -- pede na pang online class, pang bili ng bigas, pang date, at kung ano ano pa. Money wise 'di ba? Wink

Salamat, Filipino Bitcointalk Community! Mag-ingat tayong lahat!

Additional note: the 0.005 is just an approximate.

Extend The Period If You Think Recommendation Name Not Yet Fit To You

With the dozens of suggestions, some were good while many were bad, I don't think that extending the deadline would even make a simple change. Also, they've clearly stated in the OP that if they chose not to take any of the submitted names and ideas, they'll just give a 20USD consolation to the top 5 among the suggestions. Meanwhile, there are a lot of replies that seemed to not be following the suggestions and rules of the OP, so I guess it wouldn't be hard for them to filter the ideas out.
