6. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala.

Dharamshala is my fav, it doesn't matter anyway. BCCI looking at Bengaluru, The National Cricket Academy (NCA) is already there and has all the training facilities they need and now it depends on the Karnataka's gov.

Bengaluru is one of the metro cities and large number of cases are being reported from there every day. Therefore I don't think that it will be a good idea to conduct the matches there. The BCCI should have constructed stadiums in North-east India and in places such as Andaman Nicobar Islands. It would have been mutually beneficial for both the parties.

 Grin
Brilliant suggestion, now they will realise their mistake and start working on the construction of Cricket stadiums at remote location of India. This will not only improve the infrastructure of that location but will also create employment opportunities for the locals.

India has already world class stadiums in all major cities , so what is the point to make new stadiums in remote areas ? Also we have limited matches these days so building more stadiums is just a waste of money.
Yes, after 2-3 years if the situation becomes normal and covid-19 completely finishes, only then they can think about it.

Don't think if the government priorities at this time is to resume the cricket. The main focus of the governments is to open up the lock down so that people can go back on their jobs and business with certain restrictions and SOPs. Resuming cricket is not a big priority at the moment.
The England cricket board is expecting to resume international matches by July 8 and they will be hosting West Indies but it is not clear when the domestic season will be starting. All the English players are expected to resume training this month

There is another league planning to schedule, Vincy Premier League (VPL) T10 and it will start by May 22.

No idea about the rest of the cricket boards but hopefully Australia will follow the same path.

Both the England and the WI board and government are agreed on this schedule ? If this happens and the tournament is played successfully then we can see other boards take similar steps too to resume the cricket. However, it will be difficult to take this initiative and they will face a lot criticism for that too.

In my opinion some one has to start and if these boards go on with the tournament then others will follow with some hickups. There are two sides to everything there will be people who will criticize this move and then there is people like us who will support it.

Yes, the board who will take this initiative will be a brave one and i hope cricket is resumed through England cricket board.  I hope players also welcome this decision and willing to travel / play in these situation.
503  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some People Cannot Stop The Urge To Sports Betting And Gamble Even In Pandemic on: May 16, 2020, 10:49:40 PM
I heard from my Mom that some of our neighbors who received financial support from the government were used to buy alcoholic beverages and gamble instead of using it as an emergency fund during the pandemic. Gambling addicts lose their sense of responsibility, as mentioned by some people the worse case scenario would be for some people sell organs to black market to satisfy their greed.
Yeah, I don't know why people have this kind of poor mindset, the government is trying to help them in the pandemic of COVID-19 but they have this kind of mindset and use the money to their greed use it to gamble or buy things that is not essential. A lot of people here in our country are caught gambling even though it is not allowed to go outside since digital currency is not really adopted here in our country they just go in the neighborhood and play.

Having this poor mindset will make you poor and stay poor, without a job to make a living they should be wise where to spend their money especially the money came from the government.
Maybe because that is the reason.
They received support from the government, they were being helped that's why they don't mind if they just spend the support money in gambling or in any activities. People tend to burn the money especially if it is not coming from their hard work. Also, this might be their reason to satisfy themselves because there is no such thing they can do during this lockdown.
Its just really dumb for that kind of mindset just because you have been supported by the government then you would tend to abuse such aide? Just think twice if the time comes if they would stop on supporting then what would they gonna do?

They should really be taught by some lesson so that they do realize that those aide shouldnt really be used in other purposes but rather should be focused into their needs.
Taxpayers are the ones who do sacrifice on paying up just for them to benefit out but they are doing something wrong.

Although the poor people who get the aid will not spend in gambling because they need the aid to live.
But still the best way to control this misuse of aid is to send the aid to the needy persons in the form of necessary goods and foods and do not give them cash. This way they cannot spend the cash in gambling activities.

This is a very practical suggestion. We should buy the goods ourself for the needy. This will not only help the poor in this pandemic situation but also the funds will be used in the best way. Few of my friends work in charitable organization, i will definitely give them this idea.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: May 16, 2020, 10:25:23 PM
I don't think that will end tomorrow. Even it is withdrawn then there will be restrictions on sports and entertainment. I heard from news that for the future games teams will go to the host country stay quarantined for 15 days and then play in spectators free stadiums.
It is possible if the cricket playing countries are able to conduct intensive test for the virus and monitor each player before allowing the players to start preparing and then start playing the tournaments in empty stadiums. They need to get permission from their respected government to restart everything and for that we need to wait for some more time.

The biggest question is, is it profitable for them to conduct the matches in empty stadiums and if the government will allow to continue with sports.

Don't think if the government priorities at this time is to resume the cricket. The main focus of the governments is to open up the lock down so that people can go back on their jobs and business with certain restrictions and SOPs. Resuming cricket is not a big priority at the moment.

Yes faucet is removed since long time ago for good. Faucet is no more beneficial for gambling sites due to abuse, that's why many gambling sites remove their faucet in the last few years.

In fact, I do not even use faucets anymore where I gamble now, even at the sites that offer them, including my own. I actually still do play AT a faucet site,,, but it is more like to just try for a lottery instead of trying to become rich from faucet, which will never happen anyway! Cheers, Stake!
Faucet is a bit different thing to everyone else. Purpose of faucet in the crypto casino world I think so that people would test it. Bitcoin and blockchain is not something you can reverse at all, so when you send your money to somewhere there is no way to get it back if that place is scam or not. Hence primedice started with faucet, and just-dice started with faucet as well, they both allowed people to check the website to assure them that they are legit.

Nowadays there is really no need, I mean who doesn't trust stake? Well, there could be some few people but stake do not need them neither. So in return of assuring people they were giving basically thousands to people who abused the faucet and it started to make no sense since they were trustworthy anyway.

Faucets are usually important in gambling sites which are new. Many people do not be willing to spend on new gambling sites and prefer to play and test new site with free money. Sites such as stake which are already trusted and many people play there , there is no need of faucets.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: May 16, 2020, 02:47:31 PM
Well its looking very good for the T20 world cup to go ahead as planned as the football season in Australia is going to start in June and the AFL have already said that if they need to move the grand final from the MCG because of the world cup then they will move it to another stadium. Lets now hope that Australia is able to keep the virus cases low and we get to see some cricket played on time.

I heard that T20 world cup is likely to be postponed till  2022. Although the decision is not final yet but there are high possibilities that This year’s T20 World Cup may be postponed to 2022. I know it will disappoint many of us including me, if this decision is finalized.

This is very bad news!

If it gets postponed they we have to wait for 24 months for the tournament to happen. Why are the postponing it for 2 years. Why not next year? I enjoy T20 format more than any other format. Nothing is clear but there is a high chance it will get postponed this year.

Due to tight scheduled of the cricket events, it may not be possible for the ICC to conduct the tournament in 2021. I think they should reschedule it to next year even if they have to cancel other tournaments. T20 World cup is important tournament and it should be given preference over other cricket tournaments.
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Be a professional gambler on your own way. on: May 16, 2020, 12:05:00 AM
If you want to be successful, you should always have a plan that will define your path to your success. It's obvious that you need to exert effort and make something that will push you through your goal. An example of those things is strategy and plan (like what OP said) which will definitely gain him more experiences and be an expert on that specific sports or game. And remember that you should always try and try since there are many experts in gambling that has a lot of experiences so it's a hard trial for you.

So you think that gamblers should take gambling as a profession ?  Gambling cannot be considered as a profession and it should be treated like a game only. You cannot make a living out of anything which is so much uncertain in nature. Yes, you can learn to play better with passage of time but you should have other means of earning regular income.

511  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hashrate is dropping on: May 15, 2020, 10:34:53 PM
After halving, we can say some miners have left. What do you think? More miners will leave too? And what if hashrate drop more?

Who cares, difficulty will adjust sooner or later and we'll go back to 10 minutes blocks soon. There's nothing extraordinary or unpredictable about halvings, everyone knew about them, everyone who needed prepared for them. There won't be any "death spiral" or whatever other FUD people may be spreading these days. There's nothing to worry about it.

I am also beginning to worry as i see so many unconfirmed transactions. Also if this continue for long, will it have a bad effect on bitcoin and people will start to leave bitcoin and use other altcoins for example ethereum to avoid the high fee and confirmations time ?
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: May 15, 2020, 08:26:05 AM

Personally, I can still afford to buy my needs and still have a little budget for extra entertainment but thinking wisely, I will prefer not to gamble.  I want to use this extra money practically or save this in case of an extended lockdown or emergency. I'm thinking of only going back to gambling if everything started going back to normal. So to answer your question, yes, it made me stop gambling for a while since I have my priorities I need to think first than gambling.
Of course we must be able to save in our finances because if we bet with existing money it will be difficult too if the lockdown is extended later with that policy we must think that entertainment with gambling is not right at that time except tips on having lots of money then it's up to you because with enough money will certainly make us calm.

'Re Like people we are just barely satisfied in need while saving is one to survive during this pandemic so I am the same as you stop for a moment to gamble using money needs.

We can only spend our money for the needs and it's really hard to think about gambling, because people couldn't come out to work and earn money. What has left was minimal saving to feed the family as well as having that money for survival while every community was on quarantine. Those scenarios is the key factors why crypto gambling couldn't be patronized at 100% by now, due to ongoing financial crisis of every individuals.

The middle class and the lower class person are badly affected by covid 19 lock down and they find it difficult to meet their daily needs. In these situation they can't even think of playing gambling. However, this does not mean that gambling business is down, those who are rich are still playing and enjoying online gambling.
513  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please help Spent and uncomfirmed transaction. on: May 15, 2020, 08:14:59 AM
Am currently using blockchain wallet
i received some btc which transactions shows 0 comfirmations after 7 hours
and i sent it to another trading wallet.
And Its over  6 hours and both transaction is still on
0 comfirmation.
From the sender 0 comfirmations
Also from me 0 comfirmations.
What should i do.

Before Halving , i used to spent the min fee that is 1 Sat/Byte and it used to confirm too.  Can you send the Tx ID for that transaction so that we can see little more details like what Tx fee was used, even though it is confirmed as you mentioned above.  Mine Tx is also stuck for about 24 hours.  Is it still OK to use 1 SAT per byte if we want to save on TX fee ?
514  Economy / Speculation / All Time High:: 2020 or 2021 ? on: May 15, 2020, 07:54:32 AM
Halving is over but now everyone is waiting to see bitcoin go to All time high again. Many people say that it may touch a lot earlier to its ATH and we may not need to wait for December 2021.
So do you think that bitcoin will touch ATH in 2020 ?
515  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you keep track of your gambling? how? on: May 15, 2020, 12:47:02 AM
I don't track my gambling data cause it's a hassle for me and I think it's not justifiable for me to record my own gambling data.

Why it isn't? If you are gambling with the purpose of improving yourself so you can be profitable in the long run, then tracking your bets is a must, that would give you a big picture and you'll be able to analyze things clearly.

Maybe he doesn't understand why it might be useful.
I believe that keeping records of your losses and winnings can be useful for rational financial accounting and proper management of your money. And it will also help to stop a person's addiction to gambling for those who lose a lot of money.

Keeping track of your gambling money may give you advantage to have a close look at your profit & loss and play gambling with care but at the same time if takes away the fun of gambling from you. You will be more concern about your financial gain or loss and will not be able to enjoy the gambling.

517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Counting Cards -- a Dirty Cheat or a Legit Skill? on: May 14, 2020, 05:48:17 PM
Here I primarily refer to the blackjack variety of card games and similar games where you can gain advantage by counting cards, i.e. taking notice and remembering the cards which have already been seen. As far as I know, brick'n'mortar casinos are likely to kick you out once they see that you are counting cards as this is a cheat according to their books. However, and this is a tricky part, I can't fathom how anyone could reliably determine whether you are practicing this technique or not. And then, I, for one, would consider it a skill rather than a cheat

What's your take?

How can you call that a cheat game ? If a person have a smart and sharp mind, he can remember the cards already seen and play accordingly. I will call it a skill rather than a cheat. Also how can casino kick you out, if you count the cards in your mind. They should never know whats going in your mind

I looked into this matter a little deeper now

They have actually developed approaches and techniques for checking if you are trying to pull off something like card counting. For example, if you start to bet more (i.e. increase the stakes) after more cards are seen, this is kinda a sure sign that you are counting the cards (provided your own cards are good). Otherwise, there is no logic in raising the stakes. But then raising the stakes during the game should be prohibited to make counting cards an exercise in futility

Raising the stakes has no link to the card counting. There may be a player who is not counting the cards but still want to take risk or put pressure on the opponent by raising the stakes. He could be over confident too. There are lot of possibilities for raising the stakes and not just card counting.

IPL is profitable for BCCI but not much for CA. they might get some percentage of revenue cut from the BCCI, that's it ... bigger share belongs to BCCI. Plus there is some romanticize factor with the World Cup.

If BCCI thinking about shifting IPL then Sri Lanka seems better candidate to me as its close to India so not much fuss about logistics and SriLanka has lower cases of Covid-19 in comparison of UAE.

I am not much knowledgeable in this subject, so someone can educate me. In Sri Lanka, the Monsoon season is going to last until end of October. So I don't know how it is possible to stage the tournament there, unless they are playing the matches either in indoor stadiums, or grounds with retractable roof. UAE and Australia are viable, because they are mostly free from rains during this period.

As far as i know SriLanka dos not have any indoor stadiums and seriously will the Indian fans will agree to host their favorite tournament in srilanka and not in their home ground India ?  Will the players from Australia, England and other countries willing to travel to srilanka to play the IPL ?

Bilateral cricket crucial in post-COVID climate - BCCI treasurer

TLDR:
Q: How much loss if IPL doesn't takes place?
A: Around INR 4000 crore.... approximately $400 Millions?... please someone do the math Grin

Q : Priority from now on?
A : Health but if there is any opportunity available then would like to see IPL.

Health must be the utmost priority and loss of money does not matter as long as you are taking measure controls to remain healthy and safe in these conditions. Just consider if the tournament is held in these conditions and some player become infected with covid 19, it will bring a bad name for the cricket board and all the officials.
