I would disagree when you say that Greg Chappell is the worst coach to ever lead the national team. I would confer that honor to Ravi Shastri, the current coach of the Indian team. Fondly known in India as the "Damaadji", his annual salary is more than the annual contract amount of Virat Kohli. But I am yet to notice a single positive contribution from this guy.

^^^^ Juggy, I never said that relations are bad between Virat Kohli and Ravi Shastri. And as you have pointed out, the Indian team won many important matches under his tenure. But compared to the previous coaches such as Duncan Fletcher, Gary Kirsten, John Wright or even Greg Chappell, I have a feeling that Shastri contributed very little to these victories. On the other hand, John Wright is someone who played a huge role in improving the performance of the Indian team, with his strict training regimen and aggressiveness. Chappell was very aggressive as well, but he had issues with some of the senior players.

It looks like Australian sports will be starting very soon, its looking like some time in June which is good for the T20 world cup. I am still thinking that the world cup will be delayed by a few weeks or maybe even a month or two as the AFL which is the local football league is hoping to have their grand final played in October some time and that's when the world cup was meant to start so I am expecting a delay of a few weeks.

Haha he was called Guru Greg at start but he did $ucked up Indian team and his name still haunt many Indian players or fans. Greg ruined his reputation completely now no-one take his advice seriously even the good ones. On Worst coach discussion, I might put Ravi Shastri along with Greg Chappell as @Vishnu pointed out.

Understandable. Ravi is basically a playboy based on what I have observed and contributed very little so far, but the Indian team has not been affected in a bad way which is why little contribution is better than negative contribution. Greg still leads the worst coach category due to these reasons. Haha he was called Guru Greg at start but he did $ucked up Indian team and his name still haunt many Indian players or fans. Guru Greg? Lol. He is basically the Craig Wright of the cricketing world these days. I guess he is still trying to stay relevant, but the critics continue to diss him whenever they get the chance(Awesome). His advice was never good to begin with.

~snip~ Guru Greg?
Media and some player used to call him Guru Greg when he started his stint with the Team India.
BCCI and Players already gave similar hint for Aus tour (Nov-Dec) - Isolation Camp after arrival- and now getting ready in India. It would be interesting to see Gov's take on it. Green_Zone seems safe bet for training.. BCCI targets 'isolation camp' for players in 'safe zones'"The safety of the players is the board's priority. We will have to work on the logistics and see if Bengaluru is safe enough. If things don't look absolutely fine, then we will look for areas in the country which fall outside the containment zones. The camp will be sanitised. And there is also an option of opening up local stadiums to senior players," a BCCI official told TOI.
TOI understands that everyone picked for the camp - from players to general staff - will have to clear health prerequisites and will not move out of the camp premises. However, by the looks of things, it will be difficult to get the camp going in the near future. It might take more than a month and will depend on the relaxations given by the government after May 18.
"There are a lot of logistical issues. BCCI needs government directions and will adhere to it. The flights schedule and freedom of movement will have to be taken into account. The medical team is also in the loop," the official said.

^^^ JSRAW, talking about the green zones, most of them are located in extremely rural areas and I don't know whether these districts do have the training facilities. Right now I can think about six stadiums which are located in the green zone. These are:
1. Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Cricket Stadium, Guwahati 2. Greenfield International Stadium, Trivandrum 3. Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, Kochi 4. Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur 5. Fatorda Stadium, Goa 6. Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamshala.

Well its looking very good for the T20 world cup to go ahead as planned as the football season in Australia is going to start in June and the AFL have already said that if they need to move the grand final from the MCG because of the world cup then they will move it to another stadium. Lets now hope that Australia is able to keep the virus cases low and we get to see some cricket played on time.

Dharamshala is my fav, it doesn't matter anyway. BCCI looking at Bengaluru, The National Cricket Academy (NCA) is already there and has all the training facilities they need and now it depends on the Karnataka's gov. Props to Australia.. Safe to say if it happens then every team might go for 14 days isolation camp before the WC (in Australia), to avoid any mishap.

This is some positive news and if things only get better across the world then it will be beneficial as else people from various countries would be coming to see the world cup and their is high chances of having active cases if still by then Covid 2019 vaccine is not found. So either they will only have to allow players and not any international audiences in order to restrict any such issues which may persists in future.

I heard that T20 world cup is likely to be postponed till 2022. Although the decision is not final yet but there are high possibilities that This year’s T20 World Cup may be postponed to 2022. I know it will disappoint many of us including me, if this decision is finalized.

Why are the postponing it for 2 years. Why not next year? I enjoy T20 format more than any other format. Nothing is clear but there is a high chance it will get postponed this year.

I think they should reschedule it to next year even if they have to cancel other tournaments. T20 World cup is important tournament and it should be given preference over other cricket tournaments.

The BCCI should have constructed stadiums in North-east India and in places such as Andaman Nicobar Islands. It would have been mutually beneficial for both the parties.

~snip I heard that T20 world cup is likely to be postponed till 2022. Although the decision is not final yet but there are high possibilities that This year’s T20 World Cup may be postponed to 2022 . I know it will disappoint many of us including me, if this decision is finalized. It is a highly likely situation as the WHO already announced that the virus will be here to stay for a few years, i do not take what they say on face value as they changed their opinions several times during the past several months. Since all of the proposed tournaments are shifted to indefinite dates and there is no clue as to when everything becomes normal, it is a decision they have to take either way rather than moving the tournament without any foresight of when everything can be resumed. Due to tight scheduled of the cricket events, it may not be possible for the ICC to conduct the tournament in 2021. I think they should reschedule it to next year even if they have to cancel other tournaments. T20 World cup is important tournament and it should be given preference over other cricket tournaments. Even in this situation the economic situation will play a major hand, In ICC tournaments majority of the share goes to the ICC but the other tournaments the share belongs to the parent country where the tournament is conducted. The BCCI should have constructed stadiums in North-east India and in places such as Andaman Nicobar Islands. It would have been mutually beneficial for both the parties. If anyone anticipated a virus shutting the entire world, they would have taken steps to prevent it. BCCI spends money only if they think it will be worth the investment and more over it is a ecological sensitive area and hence it is impossible to get permission to built a stadium. I have seen many suggestion taking the IPL to other countries and even Sri Lankan cricket board invited from what i read. It is not safe to carry on any tournaments in India because we all know the situation is getting worse on a daily basis.

Brilliant suggestion, now they will realise their mistake and start working on the construction of Cricket stadiums at remote location of India. This will not only improve the infrastructure of that location but will also create employment opportunities for the locals.

So we were discussing that camp thingy..

India has already world class stadiums in all major cities , so what is the point to make new stadiums in remote areas ? Also we have limited matches these days so building more stadiums is just a waste of money. Yes, after 2-3 years if the situation becomes normal and covid-19 completely finishes, only then they can think about it.
