501  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Hobby Bikes with Bitcoin on: October 12, 2023, 12:07:46 PM
Was I right to invest in Bitcoin to buy my dream bike?
We all have our own dreams and goals why we're investing on Bitcoin and yours won't be different to ours that are dreaming to buy our first house and land property, dream cars and etc. The discretion whether it's a good reason for you to invest to Bitcoin to buy your dream bike will depend on you since it's your goal and as you've said, that's your dream so let's just say that it's not wrong at all. Things like these are very satisfying and achieving not just to the physical after we purchase it but mentally, it gives us that satisfaction that can't be par with money. There's no need for you to get the approval of others if that's your plan in the first place because only you can give that validation to yourself that you're doing the right thing and you've got the reason why you invested on this market. If some people are telling you negatively about that plan of yours, don't hear them out and just let them say what they want to say. Don't mind what they say and just focus on what you're aiming and that's your goal to purchase that dream bike of yours.

503  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In Case of Global Conflict, Is BTC The Best Alternative? on: October 10, 2023, 11:09:33 PM
Right now, the world is witnessing another round of big conflict in Middle East particularly Israel after Hamas operatives were able to penetrate the small country and made some havoc moves. In the international theater, we still have the unresolved Ukraine-Russia war and there are those sounding the alarm for the possibility of the China-Taiwan turmoil as well as escalated North-South Korea protracted relations.
I will just add here on what China is doing in our shores that they're calling it South China Sea, while our country is calling it West Philippine Sea. And they're even blocking the resupply missions of our coastguards and that's why there's a tension here as well. But I do hope that it won't happen to be a war conflict because everything can be done peacefully and talk about the situation on our waters.

Now, in the face of a global chaos, do you think holding on to Bitcoin is a good idea to protect our assets? Will it be acting like gold which can be so valuable during war?
It's better than gold because you can just carry your recovery phrases or private keys written somewhere you're confident that won't be noticed by people. You're holding your own assets and can run away with it while you'll be able to retrieve it later on. Unlike with other assets that you need to carry and their weights are heavy like gold, jewelries, real estate, etc.
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 08, 2023, 11:52:18 PM
Sadly, we won't be seeing the BAD this season since the team's been disbanded. I'm sure fans would have loved to welcome them, especially after they gave the Ginebra Gin Kings such a tough challenge in their first attempt.
They were like had the best start on the PBA but then it's just sad to know that they've been disbanded. We need more of these foreign teams to step up the games of the current team of the PBA and we'll not just see them play the same as usual. Many have become fans of the Bay Area Dragons and that's because on how strong they are and tall their players are.

But hey, I'm still hoping for some top-notch entertainment, maybe even more than before!
Maybe there will be another foreign team that's about to come if it's allowed by the commissioners. On the side note, after the Gilas run in the Asian games with gold. There's a good career that's awaiting for Ange Kouame as he's now headed to France just after a day of their win against Jordan, he signed a contract with UB Chartres Metropole. (https://www.rappler.com/sports/gilas-pilipinas/ange-kouame-headed-france-after-helping-philippines-gold-asian-games-2023/)
I think if Kai Sotto just headed the same as his, maybe he'll get more better contracts but anyway he's good also in the B league right now and seems like his team willing to take care of him for a long time.
505  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Dapat ba na bayaran ang tax ng campaign earnings etc. on: October 07, 2023, 09:22:11 AM
Depende sa kinikita mo. Kung under 10k ata is hindi mo kailangang i-file.

Kapag gusto mong mag DIY. (https://www.taxumo.com/blog/freelance-tax-philippines/)
Pero kung gusto mo mag hire ka nalang ng accountant o di kaya hanap ka ng mga accounting consulting firm at sila na bahala sayo pero siyempre may bayad service nila pero di naman ata ganun kalakihan.
506  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you manage your finances and family if your income is low range? on: October 05, 2023, 10:57:08 PM
In our case, we did not reduce the number of meals per day but rather we decrease the amount per serving and also some ingredients for it. In that way we can still have the good number of meals per day and we can manage our finances so well. We are avoiding spending in house deliveries of foods and other items , maybe we will only by those things if there's special occasion. We prioritize things that we need over our necessities, inflation is hard here.
Inflation sucks and we're all having hard time getting on the recovery for each of our lives just because of the effect of the covid pandemic. Before I was also into food deliveries as it saves me a lot of time in meal preparation and I just have to do what I have to do while waiting for the food to come. But with inflation, meal prices have also increased and I can feel already the regret if I do order a food for myself and for my family. It's best to cook on our own and just as you have said, one way is to decrease the serving if you are trying to save. And we're all economical and what we do is we cook for lunch and then whatever is the left over, we try to maximize it and reheat that for our snack or even in dinner. We just got to do whatever it takes for us to save money despite living with not a lot from our sources of income. Avoiding extensive spending habits should start and don't go with your friends that are pushing to spend a lot of money just to be in and be with them, they're not going to feed you and your family with their gimmicks and hang outs.
507  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 04, 2023, 10:42:41 PM
The Philippines is rejoicing now. China was the heavy favorite, but we believe Gilas has a chance of winning. It turns out it was a huge upset, and Justin Brownlee really showed how special he is. I'm wondering why he wasn't in the NBA. I think he truly is a great player, a real superstar who knows how to finish the game.
Yeah, everyone is celebrating this win of Gilas against China and it's certainly an upset not just by the record through the odds but also in the actual game. I am also seeing those debates that are putting an end about on who's better naturalized player, Justin Brownlee or Jordan Clarkson. Well, it concludes that both of them are needed and essentially good on their respective plays. JB did contributed a lot or let's just say that he's likely the one that made all of those shots. Alas did also great by those clutch plays while it's disappointing with many free throws that have been missed instead of them taking time to shoot and count it as a score. JB seriously is considered as a hero at that moment, and for that last ball posesssion I thought that China will just pass it to their big man and he's the one to take that dunk or close shot. But that good defense from Gilas did it.

With this performance by Brownlee, I think Ginebra is going to be unbeatable. (Sorry, a bit off-topic.)
Not off topic but seriously if he's going to be just consistent as that play, you're right. However, yes, there's a but because some imports have been reported already from other teams like in Phoenix who's gonna be with an NBA veteran Johnathan Williams.

Its actually a total team effort and the whole Gilas did their best to cut the lead and luckily we have Justin to take over the lead. Now we are facing the team that beat us in Fiba and here in Asian games, hopefully to have a better chance now. The coaching staff should be more wise on making their decisions, we already have a good player and they only need is to have a better strategy.
They will be more encouraged and fierce this time. Let's just hope for the best and let's pray for the Gilas that they'll win against Jordan even we know that they've lost against them last time but this is a nice rematch and I don't want to be contented despite Gilas secures silver medal.
508  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Mga Artista Na Scam Ng Crypto Investment on: October 03, 2023, 11:22:13 PM

509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Before you take sides on: October 02, 2023, 04:55:38 PM
It is true that you need to hear the other side of the story before believing such. I do see that there have been stories that are against the casinos that I know of but then, I'll later on figure out that the mistake comes from the person that accuses these casinos. They're making false stories and want to be taken on the side of the majority, but in fact, they're the one that has made the violation or made the mistake. It's easy to make stories that will show how terrible are the casinos and will take the sentiments of the readers. But, without verifying if the story is real, that's how the process will go. So, do not take sides if the story isn't verified yet and you are not able to confirm that. From the time, you hear something is wrong with that casino and make it look like they're terrible enough but in your belief, there's an odd feeling that the story can't be real or right. Because when you hear them out and answers the accuser, you'll find it out that the accuser is the one that has done the terrible thing and he just want someone to be on his side for doing that wrong doing and violation against the casino.

~snip
I guess the best way to discover a success part in business is to first of all have a motivation in the business because most times,  we can't predict the future so for such avoidance of bad future economic possibility is important to have a discounted motivational point aside the profits and loses,  most times,  doing business that you have basic knowledge,  experience and path with is most motivational since you will already know the best route to take to avoid any possible loophole and also being able to stand up against any possible future economic challenges.
It is a basic requirement that you know what you're up to with the business that you're about to establish so if you're just starting out and you have no idea of the actual business. This means that you're just testing and you can do so much with that because you're fine with the lessons that you'll get to have by the end of time. And if looking at those results, it will define your decision whether to pursue that and if there's a potential of what you're doing, the early failure won't make you stop from exploring the business that you're about to make.

Having a business is not as easy as it sound,  but then we have to also make up our mind to stand up against any possible challenges that may arise while doing business or a job because life is full of daily unique challenges.
It is not really easy and that is because we only read and hear success stories of businessmen that were already successful in the paths that they took. But if you'll ask them how they've been through, they'll answer you honestly that it is not easy.
511  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: October 02, 2023, 08:55:23 AM
And they are saying that this could also be a strategy that the team has made because if they've won against Jordan, they'll certainly face these strong teams. But I am one of those people who won't be expecting to see Gilas getting gold. I'm not trying to be negative that's what really is what's being shown. China is getting the lead on the gold race and for sure they'd be careful on this one and wouldn't want to miss to get a gold medal and I agree after what they've been through with the FIBA, they'll never miss this one but I hope that I am wrong.

Either it's true or not the journey for taking the gold medal still possible, we do have game/s to win and if they will make it up to the finals, then we will see if what will be the fate of this new sets of gilas squad, I'm no longer being bothered by any critics as it's part of the system, I mean if you win there's still something to say about it and if you lose expect more to hear about it, so moving forward as long as the ASIAN tournament is not yet ended then who knows if luck permits maybe we will make it.
It's possible but everyone is just getting a lower chance thought because of how good the other opponents are. We can that the lost against Jordan was a blessing in disguise because Jordan and China are tough opponents and Gilas was able to move the other bracket without them.
But this shouldn't make us confident and comfortable that the path is going to be easy. Let's just take that every team on this Asiad are good team and that's why they're there. And we don't see that with the Gilas and the coach for now because all they wanna do is focus on reaching the highest placing that they can and hopefully that before this ends, they'll be able to get the gold medal despite including me that I am having lesser hope with that.

But your last statement has a big factor. China as the host country will do everything we can't do anything about it, though after watching how Jordan plays against us, the chance for gold is not just for China but also for this squad.
Yeah, they are a contender so as the Gilas but we will see if they're going to make it or not.
512  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you deal with financial stress? on: October 02, 2023, 08:27:00 AM
Continue to venture yourself with available business that you know you can excel is possible, like what you mentioned
it's difficult to predict if what will happen to the one that you are supporting.
While it sounds easy to find a business you think that you can excel easily. Businesses are going to take time until you finally see them run stably and you can count on it as your major source of income. But it all starts to what you know and you're not just going to do a business just because it's profitable based on others testimony but you got to prove it yourself that you know how to run one.

Chances that bankruptcy can happen and you need to move forward and find another business or investment to cover
losses that you got from the previous will give you another opportunity to work it out.
Yes, and that's the cycle for most of the businessmen that do it wrong. They have no background but as a start, it's actually a good one and later on they will find out what suits them right. If it's either being in a business or being in a job where they love what they're doing. And as you choose, you'll recognize that owning a business and having a fruitful investment takes time for them to see results.
513  Economy / Gambling / Re: Restricted on casino bonuses on: October 02, 2023, 07:56:55 AM
Yes it all about business and the casino doesn't want its customers to profit more often from each win and can have bonuses that might make the casino have to spend more money but actually an incident like this should not happen because after all he has actively spent money on it bet at the casino even though he won more often.
Several other cases are also presented here including accounts being restricted due to customers continuously getting big wins almost as OP conveys here.
We can say that it shouldn't happen but we don't know what's in the mind of the casino owners and their staff. If someone seems to be consistently winning and that's likely ruining their business even if the impact isn't going to be a lot, they're going to stop it no matter what if it's likely draining their funds even with the tiniest amount that it can. So, if there are some situations like this and we're reading their stories, it's not a new story anymore.

However it seems that what he experienced is not completely limited continuously because there will be facilities provided by the casino so that he can deposit another amount of money and bet there.
If he really feels unreliable he can use another casino that has a good reputation and is trustworthy but of course he won't be as lucky when he uses casino that gives him email messages regarding that account.
He's still allowed to gamble and keep playing with that casino but that's not the case, the case is that he's already limited with the promos and he can no longer participate in it. The joy is still there because it seems that he's given mercy by that casino but if he's into promos and giveaways, that's not going to suffice his enjoyment even if he's still allowed to gamble there. The gambling experience is just completely different because of that incident.

No, because you're not asking legitimate questions how many bubble bath tokens that have threads on here are made by your colleagues or by the same person? What you have said is that you're hyping them and shilling it, it seems legit though but it's up to you if you're going to take that as a sarcastic approach. Let's say that all of those are for real and they really made that sale, what's next? Are they going to be the same as the other projects that have successfully landed on the market and then stayed for too long? No one knows but it seems that it is where it is going and you've got the idea of what shall happen so you're working on doubling the efforts without even dropping by on this thread with what people are telling you and it's not a good feedback you're getting from this project you are working on.
515  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Honest question, what to think about “crypto” affiliates or influencers? on: October 01, 2023, 11:27:08 PM
YouTubers you follow for trading or celebrities you follow will always bring you videos in which they have made profits, but never videos in which they experience losses in trading.
So true, they're all for the show and brag of their wins because that's more essential and likable for their audience unlike with their losses, it's no longer amusing as everyone is losing.

You should never follow YouTubers directly, just take some ideas from them. How a youtuber trades and how he trades and earns huge profits If you want to trade like that you will definitely lose your money. Make yourself more efficient in trading. You can get ideas from other successful or experienced traders about the things that you find difficult and then you can try to become efficient yourself by using that idea. If you can try this way, you will surely become a successful trader.
I agree, go get the helpful ideas and tips that they get but never get into following all that they are saying. You can take those words but pick what will be helpful for you instead of what everything has been fed to all of you. That's how the social media and influencing business goes, they will make themselves smart as if you're just going to extract what they say but in fact, many of those aren't based on actuality and experiences.
516  Economy / Gambling / Re: Restricted on casino bonuses on: October 01, 2023, 10:49:26 PM
It's just all about business, if you can't be good to their business then they have to remove you. This isn't a new move of most casinos but some actually find gamblers like you as a challenge and is also a good way to market how reliable they are with their words.
Anyway, there's still the consolation that's given to you that you're not entirely banned but only for those promos and they want you to continue to play with them. But that's a decision that they can no longer handle if you wish and chose to leave because of this reason, they've just lost someone that could be a good marketing for them to provide proofs that their promos are actually given fair and square.
517  Economy / Economics / Re: Early Retirement [Pros and Cons] on: October 01, 2023, 10:25:30 PM
I've got plans to keep busy so that's what's motivating me.
A good retirement plan that everyone seems to be telling the same thing when I talk about going into their retirement age. They will just retire in the corporate job but that's not the end for them to stop doing what they used to do and to make themselves keep busy. And whatever is the outcome of it, will be able to make use of it as an additional income if it's like a side hustle.
Thanks you've simplified the retirement plan that's how it is. Side jobs for additional income if it's available. Enjoying life keeping busy.
That's actually the goal when we retire, we never just quit or forget to do jobs. We'll still do it but they're not that much the same after all. While we enjoy, we get to earn a bit and we're already happy with that as we enjoy the things we do.

If I get there I'll spend quality time doing activities which make me happy. If I'm able to enjoy life with out worrying about wages because pension's going to fund me I'm going to do it. If side jobs or investments help in retirement it's a bonus. It isn't different to what so many other ppl aim to do.
Yeah, that's the main and end goal when we retire. That's the ideal one that we should be aiming for as we retire, sadly in my country, the sandwich generation is still on it. Many of the parents now grandparents are still going with their children as their retirement fund.

> maybe we can say that Gilas will not get a gold this year on asian games.

That's most likely what will happen. If we lose to Jordan and China beats Jordan, we can't expect to beat China. In addition, China was embarrassed when they lost by a huge margin during the FIBA World Cup. I'm certain that they will come back strong when they face Gilas, whose lineup isn't as strong as during the FIBA World Cup.
And they are saying that this could also be a strategy that the team has made because if they've won against Jordan, they'll certainly face these strong teams. Yes I'm enjoying life but I've got years to wait before I'll retire. I don't know when it's going to take place but even in retirement I won't sit on a chair and wait for death.
That's actually the retirement plan, we'll just do the lesser jobs but typically we're all set for life we're not just going to sit and wait for nothing to happen. Our body will look for those activities that we used to do and if we don't, that's likely going to make us weak.

I've got plans to keep busy so that's what's motivating me.

520  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Top 10 Crypto and It's Targets for Next Bull Run on: October 01, 2023, 08:55:51 PM
I like your speculation with most of those although I've got hold of only a few of them that's really likable predictions. Some will raise eyebrows and will say that they're that much and too high but that's what it is. More with Bitcoin, hopefully it does really reach that price of nearing $200k and what if more with $200k soon will be touched. That's very possible but this time, we just go with what's near to the last bull run and we have to see it first go well with $100k. I just want to see that we will have a support and all time low for the next years with a six digit figure.

According to coin-score.ai's predictions and analyses, the estimates are as follows:

1. Bitcoin -  $133,401
2. Ethereum - $16,048
3. BNB - $1,686
4. XRP - $3.37
5. ADA - $1.45
6. DOGE - $0.59
7. Solana - $102.82
8. TRX - $0.75
9. MATIC - $2.26
10. LTC - $600

https://coin-score.ai/price-prediction/
Good prediction as well, although for Bitcoin we can see that there's a huge parity and the same goes with ETH but if you're going to estimate both of them, they're all possible.
