521  Economy / Services / Re: Tarsua's free escrow service on: December 29, 2015, 03:04:31 PM
Escrowing is a hassle anyways...run while you can!

And this is why it's always baffling and suspicious to me when people seem happy to offer such a service and all for free. What's in it for them other than to try build up feedback quickly (which is the wrong way to do it)... or is it just an easy way to get people to blindly trust them with money to then run off with an amount they like? If people can't trust master-p etc then they certainly can't trust op.
Can't agree with Blazed enough, running an escrow service can sure be a pain. Setting up terms of the escrow for each transaction is time consuming, as well as trying to get all parties on the same page. However, it's understandable when people open up new escrow services (at least to me) - I used to have a ton of spare time on my hands so I didn't mind spending some of it helping the community out by running a free escrow service. It's definitely a good way to get rid of some of that spare time. Wink
522  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 03:00:50 PM
His digital identity was compromised 'for ever', I don't know if we will be able to prove that he is the real master-p.
If he claimed to be the real master-p, someone could probably send a letter to master-p's house with a code or something inside, and then ask master-p to PM the sender the code he received in the mail, to verify that he is indeed the original master-p.
523  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 28, 2015, 02:36:34 PM
Hopefully the threat of a dox will get people their BTC back before the dox actually happens.

Most people in their right mind don't want their personal information all over the internet associated with a scam.

I'm still in shock about this whole situation Sad.

Me as well, I'm really surprised that he would sell his account. He seemed like a legit user and a really nice guy, but I'm just glad I didn't trade with his account after August.
524  Economy / Reputation / Re: hilariousandco - staff member neg abusing on: December 25, 2015, 01:48:06 AM
you know what i dont consider my posts spam
That's great, but I suspect lots of people on this site (including staff members with ban powers) think your posts are spam. From what I can see they're mainly short posts that don't seem very constructive. Lots of posts like that can lead to a ban.
525  Economy / Reputation / Re: Trust Rating of Muhammed Zakir... on: December 22, 2015, 01:07:41 PM
The negatives will be removed the minute he returns the loan, going AOL with a loan is just wrong even if you're the most trusted person on the forum.

I can understand, but he's in a severe problem and I can prove that not just by uploading the pics of his message (if needed), but I can also say that he had some land in a place in India (I would not like to disclose) where floods took place and I guess he might be suffering from the same problems due to which he might not be able to even use the internet...

So, please give the guy a chance to prove himself, as he is getting negatives by everyone without him being given a chance to prove himself...
And as said, he will come back soon as he mentioned...
Also, I never vouch for people I don't know and trust personally, so don't worry... Smiley He ain't a kind of person who would do such deeds...
If he's currently having problems such as floods washing his house away I doubt his negative trust is a big worry. Like mexxer said, once he repays that loan, my negative trust will turn into a neutral, but I see no reason to remove a negative trust from somebody who ripped off 0.16 BTC from someone else. He's had plenty of time to prove himself, negative trusts were first up on December 6th, and he logged in on December 11th. He could have explained his situation then but didn't bother to do so.

528  Economy / Computer hardware / [SOLD] Antminer S7 - 4.86 TH/s on: December 12, 2015, 03:39:38 AM
I'm looking to sell a first batch model Bitmain Antminer S7. I'm looking to get 4.25 BTC plus shipping for the unit. This price is negotiable, but please don't lowball. The unit will be shipped out of Saskatchewan, Canada through Canada Post. I'm willing to ship to the USA, but won't ship outside of Canada or the USA. I think this is a fair price, considering that a new Antminer S7 costs ~ 4.5 BTC from Bitmain (not including shipping), however a new unit would only offer ~ 4.7 TH/s and shipping would begin at the earliest on December 18th. My unit ships out within 24 hours of purchase and shipping speed can be decided by the buyer. I'm also open to escrow from a reputable user, but I request the buyer cover all escrow costs because I'm a trusted member on these forums.

Only issues I've had with this miner were caused by a faulty power supply. After replacing it with a fully functional power supply this unit hashes away at about 4.84 TH/s @ 600MHz with very low HW error rates (< 0.01%).

Any questions let me know below or send me a PM.

529  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S7 is available at bitmaintech.com with 4.86TH/s, 0.25J/GH on: December 11, 2015, 09:34:24 PM
What do you guys think a fair price for a used S7 would be? Is 4 BTC reasonable for a 4.86 TH/s model? I see that newer S7's cost ~ 4 BTC from Bitmain, but they would only begin shipping around December 20th at the soonest, and they're a little slower (4.6 or 4.7 TH/s if I remember right.. I'd check but their site is down).

Thoughts?

For a model with that hashrate that's a good price (based on what you would have paid for it new from bitmain).  Provided of course it works well and doesn't have any weird issues.

EDIT: I should say though at current USD\BTC price (like $450\1BTC) it makes it a high $ price.
Only issue I've had with it was a dying PSU. Other than that it's been running great.

Thanks for all the input guys! I'd be selling it in BTC so I don't think the USD/BTC price would make a massive difference.

536  Other / Off-topic / guitarplinker's Public Ignore List / Sig Spammer Shamelist on: November 16, 2015, 10:15:16 PM
Due to recent popular demand sig spamming around here I've decided to open up a thread with all the users I find that are spamming the forums. Sounds like the staff here are banning users on public lists like these, so if we can cut down on sig campaign spam I'm all for it.

Without further ado, here's the current list:

Think you're on my list as a mistake? Send me a PM and I'll take a look. I'll update this post as I find more spammers.

Im glad you are doing something about it, I have heard you were looking for a campaign manager, hopefully it's true so we wont have to do your job anymore.

I sent them a message offering signature campaign management services for very fair prices ( I explained that I'd be doing it to clean up the forums rather than to earn some extra income) and never received a reply back from them. Don't think they care enough to put the effort in to hire someone dedicated to get rid of spam, but if it's an easy copy-paste to ban users like it is here they're willing to do that.

Great work by you dear. Keep the good work up and expose the spammers..
Keep Exposing ! GOOD LUCK ))))
( But atleast verify that they really are spammers or no because i think u just count the post and telling some of them are spammers .. For information, Check Shorena's or Quickseller's post its much but they arent spammers.. similar case is with some here )) ) Why dont you first verify that some are really spammers or not with the mod or some legend or hero persons then post them here )))
Good Luck )))

Are you even reading posts in this thread before posting? Highlighted part sounds eerily similar to something I posted in this thread, just yesterday:

But high post counts per day != spam. Take a look at Quickseller for example, he posts a huge amount of posts per day and seems to be one of the most knowledgeable people on the forums. His posts definitely aren't considered spam.

I'm verifying that users I'm posting here are what I consider spam. I could care less how much a user posts, if they're posting spam posts I'm going to record them in a post here. I've have experience with catching spammers before they entered the Rollin.io campaign for the over seven months I managed the campaign, so I like to think that I'm fairly competent when it comes to catching spammers.

For example, I added you to the list of spammers here due to some of your "quality" posts:

I successfully registered on the site )))

Heres my detail::::

Thankyou!
