It will be also very important to have an easy way to hedge against the dollar with big amounts of money. That is one point why we need a working etf asap.

You get loans in Dollar or Euro and you buy tangible assets in countries that respect the property rights
542  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crossed 500 USD - Bull Market returns ? on: October 19, 2014, 12:58:45 PM
apparently we can't get any higher than 420  Grin

420 is a important barrier. There will be 21 million BTC one day.

 Grin Grin

There are so many price floors and barriers! What I am seing is the price holding up once again
543  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : *** shutting down - please withdraw your coins *** on: October 19, 2014, 12:57:17 PM
So what is doog his issue atm that he can't reopen just-dice?

...because he is enjoying having downtime from running, operating, administrating, securing et cetera a 24/7 casino?

No because he has been smart and smelled he was taking a risk of being charged in Canada
544  Economy / Economics / Re: Inflation and Deflation of Price and Money Supply on: October 19, 2014, 12:53:18 PM
To the economists - Can we sustain in a deflationary economy?
So when I lend money, what kind of interest should I get since I know after some time any it is gonna depreciate? Would that give rise to a scenario where I'm asked to pay interest for giving loans?

Prices going down is a good thing that the market brings to people; governments like inflation because it allows them not to face all the consequences of their actions
545  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price manipulation going on right now at the big exchanges on: October 19, 2014, 12:51:20 PM
I don't know how much manipulation is going on but it seems panic is slowly taking a hold again over bitcoiners the last few hours...

Most people know about the manipulation, that's why the buy in is going to be so hard to call. I think one massive re-entry is going to turn this around.

It went down sub 300 only to go +100$; the global markets are in total denial or the reality in the US and Europe, they are overestimating the positive results of government actions and QE and underestimating the debt problem of the US and most of Europe; when the market comes to its senses, all markets will be different and we may go on on a more positive and rational ground

We still hear that Japan had a deflation problem and that China is overrated! Grin Both are untrue
546  Other / Politics & Society / Re: An eye opening video about Climate that need to be shared with you on: October 19, 2014, 09:39:38 AM
It's so confusing all the different opinions on climate change. For me it seems that it's a natural process for the climate our planet. It's a very complicated system, with a huge amount of factors to influenciate. In reality man cannot understand all these factors. And when man cannot understand things they tend to create myths.

If man can find an excuse to make money he will try to sell you the air that we breathe

Or if it can help them control the people they will sell you the fact that a disgusting expensive energy such as solar panels or wind turbines is better than natural green energy such as oil or the most renewable and less dedly energy (only one major very deadly incident in 50years) : radioactivity
They are not really disgusting, they just need to be carefully located.  Say on islands where there is no natural energy and all electric comes from ships bringing fuel oil or coal to the island.  Or remote areas, where it isn't practical or cheap to run a power line.

It's disgusting to lie about solar and wind and to claim they will replace coal and gas.

We have sufficient experience with solar and wind today to know these claims are false.

Look at the fail of Germany on so called "green" energies; they lost billions for nothing and they are importing nuclear energy from Poland and use coal energy

Wind turbines and solar panels use rare earth metals, wind turbines only last for 20years and need a lot of maintenance so they need a lot of ressources to build and to maintain

Sending out payment to all Staff that have Pmed me. I'm considering re-opening this campaign in the very near future with fixed rates.
It looks like the PD campaign may be coming back in one form or another

It would be great if they re-open, they probably calculated that they were losing players and traffic without their big signature campaign

Players that advertise a casino tend to play on this casino

LOL no

Players that advertise a casino tend to earn BTC from the best paid campaign

Yes and those among them who are players tend to play on the casino they advertise
548  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Just-Dice.com : *** shutting down - please withdraw your coins *** on: October 18, 2014, 02:30:54 PM
So will we see a big give away with the coins that are left? Tongue Tongue

Wow, how can you even expect that?
Anyways, I am sure he has no plans to give it away. dooglus when do you plan to make the decision on reopening JD?

So if no one can claim coins in 5years, what happens to the coins? He keeps them?

Why woudln't he keep them as long as the original owners don't claim them?

He could or he could give it away to JD players or bitcointalk members in a big give away, it is an option Wink Prices of 0.01BTC to 1BTC to members who have more than 100 activity or JD players that have played at least 1BTC

552  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best bitcoin casino? on: October 18, 2014, 12:30:44 PM
There are many casino sites but please check whether they are genuine or not.

Thank you for the brilliant and wise insight, krishatnet. I shall print out your post and frame it on my wall.

Haha his advice is not that bad

Tried pocketdice a few times and it is different and fun; play responsibly!

555  Economy / Economics / Re: Global Financial Crisis scenarios on: October 16, 2014, 09:42:03 PM
War can actually result in bitcoin supply coming down as well, with a lot of private keys getting lost...

Agreed. Who would think about their coins if their families are being slaughtered.

And their wallets gets rocketed. I wonder how many wallets wil gets lost because of people dieing from Ebola.

Instability and government oppression should show Bitcoin like a solution thus increasing adoption

There are 2 possible scenareos:

1) People THAT KNOW (they need to first know about it...) about Bitcoin, put their wealth into Bitcoin hoping it doesnt crash

2) People put their wealth into gold, hoping it doesnt crash

Thats the only legit ways to store your wealth.

Google, Oil and other ressources companies or building a business could be other ways to invest your wealth
556  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: October 16, 2014, 09:41:37 PM
worth watching for gold bugs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ro6JUChxtF4

gentlemen, gold revaluation is coming.

i used to listen to Willie religiously.  unfortunately, he's too gloom and doom with lots of unsubstantiated sources ala his London guy.

Well it is true that China is the main gold buyer along with Russia and India... and it is true that htey hold majority of the bonds during the crash... so they should have some say in the manipulation that is going on.. up till now they were happy to scoop it all up as cheap as possible.. and US has been happy to simply borrow gold away while depleting its resources so either US knows something China doesn't or US doesn't care about gold as it has another card to play (bitcoin?) or something... here have your gold, i've moved onto my bitcoin.

So the idea is that now that China has all of the gold it can set the true price and let it float without manipulation and watch it rise... and if US wants to do arb's sure.. but you need actual metal to do that to bring to the exchange in China to trade... so effectively eliminating arb'ing. Now China can set the price to double and people will buy knowing US inventory is done and real price is/was much higher in the first place... however if US has another card they might just say but wait a sec.. you dont need gold anymore look at what I got!

I guess assumption on facts are:

1) Is US inventory depleted? (can you buy contracts and have them physically delivered? I heard no)
2) Will china reprice (Why wouldn't they?)
3) Does US have a backup plan once gold shoots up and ppl run around like chickens with their heads cut off? (TIme will tell)

The problem of the US will not be Gold shooting up but the USD going down as Yellen increase QE
557  Economy / Services / Re: Pocket Dice Signature Campaign on: October 16, 2014, 09:54:25 AM
Thanks for the payment , now I'm leaving to the fortune jack sig. campaign.

Good luck !

leaving for Fortune Jack too.

adios

Fortune Jack pays 0.02/week instead of 0.025 here! (For less posts)

Am staying with PDi, received my third automatic payment, thank you very much Wink

Majesticcoins is a ponzi,it should have a *
joining shold not be recommended
I totally forgot to add that. Thanks for reminding me Wink

wowoww .. its something wrong
they "greencoin" will pay newbie, jr memb, n member rank not 2000 gre per month but 100000 gre /month its like 0.012 btc
You are right, I fucked up. Changed it Smiley

Thanks everyone that stood up for me. I, indeed, decided to go with ad's because I put a lot of work into this and getting something, anything back would be nice. Donations were a no-go (except when I said that I never got any donations, which was once), so yeah. It's the same thing Dogie does and I asked (and received permission) from BadBear.

Having advertisement is fine! It's your post!

We are still waiting for a big Bitcoin website that wants to flood the forum with its signature and pays well for 100-200 members Wink

...and to bring back the good old days of RitzGrandCasino or FXOpen where a Sr. Member had the opportunity to earn 0.4BTC/month Cry

And have all the spammers return with their useless posts? We've got enough of that already so no thanks!

When Stunna allowed 3000 posts per month, hilariousandco was the top poster always. Do u think he was spamming ? He's a mod for his contribution (constructive post + good report) now.

Would like to see a big campaign that pays 0.2/month for Senior 100-150 posts minimum per month and a campaign that doesn't disappear after a few months

What is it with that guns obsession, probably from the americas?
You ask me?
Who else is there to ask?
Just a moment; HELLO, IS ANYBODY HERE?

Why didn't you PM me to let me know about all the great questions I was missing?

Aren't you already addicted enough to bitcointalk?

If an ideal thermally conductive blackbody were the same distance from the Sun as the Earth is, it would have a temperature of about 5.3 °C" so who is not happy we have a Greenhouse effect?
