541  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do people but bigger bets in sports compared to other type of gambling? on: April 13, 2019, 07:54:24 AM
Simple reason is gamblers specially skilled ones which sports team have higher chance of winning based on statistics unlike on luck based games where you will only rely on your luck
I am a sports bettor and I love to put bigger bets in this form of gambling.
It's still hard to win in gambling but the fact that you can analyze the game, and it's not based on luck alone, this makes this game interesting.
It's challenging for me as a gambler since I've been gambling for many years, yet I still cannot perfect the right formula to win.

I have some winning streak but sometimes losing streak as well, I just hope I end up a winner with proper fun management.

Well i think there are more sports fans than gambling fans out there and sports fans tend to know a lot about the sports they're intersted in. That's they bets made in sporting events are full of confidence, hence the bigger bets.
542  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Perfect Dice experience on: April 13, 2019, 07:51:26 AM
Secure, have nice interface, fast deposit/withdrawal and popular. Also having many players and community certainly makes us even more excited to play there.
with simple games, anyone can play right? without special strategies and without special skills you can have fun in dice,
yeah especially every dice site, has a simple and easy load interface. make us more comfortable
They would make it simple to attract more gamblers, and more gamblers means more profit to them.
We can never win dice, the only strategy we can have is the strategy to stop when we win, or when we loss hard, other than that, it's just all about luck.

Lol. Are there even any complicated interface with a game that's as simple as dice? I haven't had much fun with it especially in the long run since it kinda drags the longer you play. Regardless of where you play and how you play it.
543  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: April 13, 2019, 07:48:31 AM
In west, I don't think GSW will be able to win now. Not just because I am not a fan anymore but because they are also having internal issues with the team.
They are professional players and whatever differences or internal issues they have, they will set that aside and talk about it on the off-season. Kevin Durant and Green are two players that want badly to win and this time they can make a history of a 3-peat that only few teams achieved. This will be their motivation going into the playoffs.

Usually professional athletes put their difference aside and focus on the goal at hand, which is to win championship again.

So I don't question Durant and Green at this point, this is playoffs and they are chasing a 3-peat which is very hard to do right now in the NBA. If they win, then they can talk all they want, if KD will leave then so be it. But as this point, KD could won another finals MVP and then another righ, enough for him to be really motivated.
There performance in every game will dictate their future in the NBA, so they will always play hard and play their best to ensure
they will have a good future. They are professional although they are in sport, they are still playing for the main purpose of getting paid well.
If the warriors will get a 3-peat this season, they will not only earn money as a reward, but the reputation as well.

Lol. Whatever issues they may be having, they'e still the top team in the west and would likely go on to the 2nd round pretty easily. 2nd round though may very well determine who the western champs will be since they'll likely go up against the rockets.
544  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA PlayOffs - First Round on: April 13, 2019, 07:45:08 AM
Seems like there's little chance of any 1st round upsets in the east here with the matchups of the top4. Bucks vs celtics and 76ers vs raptors would be a very interesting 2nd round!
545  Economy / Economics / Re: Current Market state on: April 13, 2019, 07:42:51 AM
If you're stating a reliable fact then we could say that bitcoin growth is going straight to a better path. A lot of us are hoping for the best development for cryptocurrency especially bitcoin and these are good indications that the market is going well. It's positive news for crypto enthusiasts.

Legit. Well better than a few months back of course. We're staying quite strong just around the 5k area which isn't that bad considering where we came from. A lot of people are hyped and positive about the latest developments.
546  Economy / Economics / Re: Don't stress too much due to the bear market on: April 13, 2019, 07:09:42 AM
Bear market has its advantage and that is when investors make large investments in crypto due to the relatively low market prices of valuable coins. Bull market is when large sales are made to make profit. Hence, there will be no profit waiting for an investor who fails to sow during the bear market. when the bull market comes.

The more we attached with bear market, the more we feel stressed and anxiety that may lead us to become more agreesive on every deliberation and may also lead on panic selling. Perhaps, bear market has an advantage way to gain profits, by investing more coins while the price are affordable and purchase it when the market has fully recover.

Well all you have to do is to look back a few years ago. There have been a lot of bear markets that happened. Some are quick, some took more than a year. But one thing constant is that the market always recovers. So just spend what you can spare in crypto so you won't have anxiety when the bear market hits.
547  Economy / Economics / Re: Does Pump is Coming on: April 13, 2019, 07:07:28 AM
I also believe that there is a lot of news about 2020, maybe it is not only a dream but it can be a good hope in the future. if it missed in 2020 it could happen the following year, hopefully this thread will help other people who are still doubtful about the value
no one can know for sure the development of crypto currency investment because it is one of the risks in investing in crypto currencies because confidence and patience are the main capital in investing with crypto currencies
What we only know is the development that is based on news, but that development is never a basis of the price of bitcoin.
IMO, with the market being manipulated, we will never see it on the price only, the news are good or we call it the fundamentals, but price could be different.
So to know if the pump is coming or not, that's only based on how we analyze it and we give our prediction.

Safest bet is don't look for a pump. Don't expect it. Pumps usually come at the whim of people who have the ability start it so it does come but rarely in an expected manner. There will be pumps of course so the answer to that question is yes. But we don't know when.
548  Economy / Economics / Re: If you want to be rich..! on: April 13, 2019, 07:02:03 AM
Unfortunately "don't work hard but smart" is a myth.

Einstein coined the formula: genius is 1% inspiration, 99% sweat.

If you wanna do anything successful, gotta work like crazy.

After you make your first million, you can then start coming up with your own crazy little schedule ideas like "the four hour week" or whatever.
This statement is correct, we have to work hard in order to fulfill our goal, which our dreams also.
Working hard and working smart, that's the right formula, when you start from nothing you cannot be confident to just use your smartness to make money.
You can only tell you are smart if you earn big money and then you let that money work for you.
it's a process IMO.

Well it should be a combination of both. Plus the right opportunity and knowing and seizing it when it arrives. Working hard doesn't always amount to success since many people have been stuck in simply working hard for ends to meet. Take risks and don't be afraid.
549  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you need cash for everyday use? on: April 13, 2019, 06:56:47 AM
It is possible to survive without cash nowadays, as even in the third world nations credit cards and mobile wallets are getting very popular. However, the lack of anonymity is one of the issues when you go for these modes of payment.

That is so true.

A lot of stores are now accepting transactions or payments from mobile wallets nowadays. Credit cards are popular even in the past years but then again, mobile wallets or transactions are also getting more popular. I guess the future is shifting to offline payments to online payments. Some bills also can be paid in our country using a mobile app.

Lol. How many people use even credit or debit cards for their everyday purchases? Compared to the people using cash? The figure would obviously be overwhelming. I agree that there is a rise in alternative ways for paying but most of us still considers cash as a necessity fot everyday use.
550  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless Economy: Is Society ready for transformation? on: April 13, 2019, 06:53:55 AM
I don't think all countries are prepared for cashless, some of old population on some countries still get pension money on hand, and they buy food with cash on villages they live, will be hard to give them card and get money there without any option to cashout money from card or option to buy food with card.
Those who are not accepting the reality of the crypto that money has become an optional choice for us, cash is less in use now but crypto is much more with time,. We are living now in digital era and for crypto currency is gradually reducing the value of cash, if we want to make good earning for our life better move with time and accept the reality now we are in cashless era.

Slowly yes. Especially the new generation who seem to be eager for new technology and would accept it with a whole heart. At this point there are still the majority of the population that grew up with the current system. The next generation may be more comfortable with using other alternatives.
551  Economy / Economics / Re: PREDICTION IS SOMETIMES LIKE A FALSE PROMISE on: April 13, 2019, 06:51:34 AM
Almost all predictions are just like predictions that never come true. We predict a thing that is not controlled at all. we can only follow the price of bitcoin and observe so that we can make decisions at the right time.

If we continue to make long-term predictions of bitcoin, then we have been blinded by the greedy nature of each one.
Already, it is called prediction, do not need to be exact. Even, in the volatile crypto market. What do the others do while the estimates of the experts are not correct?
Let's consider ourselves foolish if we think prediction is a promise.
Whether it's coming from a real expert in crypto, that's still considered as prediction, and it could be wrong also.

Well it would seem like a promise if you look at it that way. The way i see it, predictions are more like people promoting themselves. Any individual can make their own predictions, most of the time even without solid basis. Now it would depend on you if you'd take it to heart.
552  Economy / Economics / Re: the future of crypto is good or bad on: April 13, 2019, 06:48:24 AM
the future of cryptocurrency is quite good because it is part of technological advancements, but if you are not careful, you can lose all the money you have. so it's better that you use less than 50% of your money for cryptocurrency. Good luck.

We can say that crypto will play a big role for our future if we continue to progress and nothing globally catastrophic happens. I mean, the way i see it, it's heading the same path the internet took in the 90s. Give it 10 to 15 more years and we may be looking at a mainstream crypto usage already.
553  Economy / Economics / Re: The market starts looking real nice in Q2, 2019 on: April 13, 2019, 06:45:45 AM
We're not even halfway through the year, still hard to say whether it'll be better than 2018 or if this price hike is a false spring. I'm particularly eyeing the news that the Chinese government is coming up with. A ban might be beneficial in the long run but the ensuing chaos may plunge the price.

I wonder why people keep talking about the slightest move or change in the market. We [in the crypto industry] know that except a coin has achieved meaningful milestones, any price increase in the market is essentially manipulated, especially when it has to do with huge volume change from a select few orders. Besides, I could only think of Ethereum as the top altcoin that needed the market move since the recent Constantinople upgrade warranted it.
.

Some people watch the price coz they either buy and sell bitcoins when possible, in which case they have to ensure they have a profit left after the exchange's spread; or they set a part of their salary for buying.

Well the price is obviously still below the 2nd quarter of 2018 but of course, that's because we came from an ath run. When it comes to the movement, i think q2 of this year is far better than that of 2018. A slow sustained movement up is something i'd take any day than a quick plunge to the bottom.
554  Economy / Economics / Re: Next Reason For BTC Price To Goes Up on: April 13, 2019, 06:43:36 AM
It is also only a small amount of Stock exchange traders that has the knowledge to buy & sell bitcoins, most of them are traditional investors and old farts like Warren Buffet.  Wink

This is the reason I think that huge orders are one of the factors that pushes price up because the market gets quiet until after sometime you see a serious rally and price goes up. This time around, I hope the bull gets sustained.

What could be the reason though for that to happen this time around? I'm reading a few comments talking about the halving necxt year but that seems a little distant to have that much effect now. Sec approval? I don't think so. Whales starting a fomo? Probably.
555  Economy / Economics / Re: Things I learned through the years of Buying and Trading Bitcoin on: April 13, 2019, 06:41:15 AM
All good advice but kinda obvious I'd say.

Hardware wallets aren't mandatory. Printed private keys are just as secure, just gotta store it right. Paper lasts 1000 years, hardware wallets don't.

I did this and my house got burned with it, and now I have a huge problem, all my coins from past ether wallet address is now gone. I do admit it's my fault for not keeping it safer than I am doing right now with my current ether wallet address.I recommend you to buy a hardwallet than trust on a piece of paper. In the end it's your choice.
very unfortunate, after being lost we don't know where to report this crime. moreover in my country there is no legalization for cryptocurrency. Kehati htian and concentration are very important so that they are not trapped by the trap of hackers

Well it's better to have multiple copies if your security keys for emergency purposes. I keep printed ones in my wallet and safety boxes while also keeping in my email just to be sure. I just try to be careful with phishing attempts from random sites.
556  Economy / Economics / Re: There's nothing more happier than seeing your bitcoin price going up! on: April 13, 2019, 06:38:39 AM
Yes of course i purchased some bitcoin around September 2017, i planned to hold it for a longtime but when the bull run starts on December 2017 i sold all of it. I am very happy at that time because it's my first investment that i really got so much profit and solved my family's financial problem.

So you're making a big profit from bitcoin. I glad to see you are very happy and I wish that we can make another profit after this. That will be a happy time for every people who involve in bitcoin, and they can see the bitcoin price is going up because that means, we can make a lot of money from bitcoin. Don't worry, and we will see that will happen again and prepare yourself for the coming, so you are not late to sell your bitcoin at the highest price.

And you're pretty fortunate to have sold when the price of btc was at it's peak lol. You should be really happy. For me, i've seen my bitcoins go up and i've seen it drop dramatically as well. Of course all of us will be happy when our coins do go up but i've come to accept the fact that there will be times that it'll go down also, so i'm kind of indifferent when that happens.
557  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto as a payment method for goods: what to expect in 2019 on: April 12, 2019, 01:33:49 PM
Crypto into payments can be seen all around as Marketplaces have begun to accept bitcoin compared to the past. There is also some form of issue relative to it which is the transaction confirmation. At times there will be more transactions stuck on the network due to congestion. This is not fair when used into businesses, so more advancements is a must for using bitcoin as Payments.

The acceptance of cryptocurrencies has started to happen but still we are in a very initial stage.
Still, we have a long way to go because the marketplace may be full of bitcoin accepted transactions but those are informal. We need to have a more formal place to sell and buy product with cryptos.

That will come. But it won't happen overnight of course. Compared to a few years back, the amount of bitcoin and crypto usage has dramatically increased and there's no reason why it should slow down now.
558  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: April 12, 2019, 01:30:26 PM
Everytime I do business online now I ask for Bitcoin. I thought people would refuse but to my surprise a lot of them had BTC and gladly settled!

If everyone did the same BTC would quickly gain widespread acceptance. It just needs critical mass of adoption.
That's where the challenge lies. To get people who are outside the crypto community to use it with us. Of course it would be obvious that the people you were able to transact with are crypto users and are within the community. One option is to keep using it as such and let other people see that we're freely using crypto with confidence. They may imitate us in the future.
559  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is this a good idea? on: April 08, 2019, 02:03:55 PM
Is it a good idea in your opinion for me to wait for ethereum price to increase so I can sell it and move the money to more alt coins or should I just move the current amount of ethereum to other altcoins right now?  Undecided
My advice is just wait and hold your ethereum until the ethereum price increase, the market condition is really good right now.

I think ethereum price can increase so high, so it's better to wait for now, i think this month will be a big month for cryptocurrency, maybe we can see another big increase in the market.

Ethereum's price has woken up so you may want to rethink that plan dude. We may be looking at a lively market for eth this year since it's had its down moments the whole year in 2018. Still in the top 3 coins in cmc so i'd hold that if i were you.
560  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [XVG] Anyone here has invested in Verge? on: April 08, 2019, 02:01:36 PM
Or it was just me, who believed in this "one of the most anonymous" shhhcoins? People are there believing that it will cost 1$ once, but that would take Verge to TOP 10 CMC, which is impossible imo.

Not impossible but it will take the xvg team a lot of work to make it happen. I think i still hold some xvg from before and it was making little noise. It's one of those coins that are just lying in wait for its time to shine.
