561  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best time to gamble on: April 04, 2023, 04:45:30 PM
We can gamble anytime based on our personal preferences and comfortability. I personally prefer gambling before going to bed where there won't be any distractions and I got all my errands done so I could focus and make fine decisions. It is important that we have a nice and nondestructive environment when we gamble because it could affect our focus and the whole gameplay. As much as possible, we should not gamble when we feel fine and relaxed and with no negative thoughts running through our minds.
562  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chasing looses Vs Finding closure: Any difference? on: April 04, 2023, 03:58:16 PM
Only a greedy fellow would go after chasing loose than taking it for fun because gambling is a game of fun. In as much you wanna try to make effort of winning should be reduced to be able to concentrate because whenever you focused more on winning you ends up making more loose at the end would still result in chasing closures.
People think chasing losses will only increase their frustration because they will have difficulty recovering their losses.
If they keep thinking like that every time they gamble, they will never be able to enjoy gambling as entertainment but as a place to make money, even though they often lose.
They can win if they can get lucky because a win will come along with luck.
Better to make gambling a place for fun and nothing more so we don't think about trying to win.

Chasing our losses isn't a key to recovery and this is the common mistake of most gamblers. It is actually the reason why many gamblers are losing their funds to the extent that they are even losing their assets. Accepting losses and knowing when to stop is the proper closure that we need. We can't always win against the house if that is our goal. Gambling results still rely on luck so we should not see it as a shortcut to getting rich.
563  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: April 02, 2023, 04:57:08 PM
It's great that you have started to save. Yeah, its true that saving can be quite difficult, especially when you're just starting out and you already have a bad spending habit. But guess what, even rich folks save and invest to keep growing their cash. It's not about saving for life, but more like getting into smart money habits that work for you, instead of you working for the money. The rich still needs money to maintain their luxurious lifestyle. They need to save, to make future purchases and investment. Someone who is loaded doesn't mean he will stop saving and investing. Why do you think the world billionaires still invest and save money?
You may be right, I recently read that the wealth of billionaires has only increased in recent years. This may be due to the fact that their investments bring in a lot of money, much more than they can spend. Also, their businesses bring a steady income, but of course, this is possible only if it is skillfully managed, otherwise there may be losses.

They are rich because they are businesses minded and they always focus on enlarging their territories and assets so no wonder why they are billionaires which is actually inspiring. Wise spending is very important and saving must be a part of our practice. We shouldn't aim for buying material things but focus on how to maximize our savings. It should be saving over spending all the time for us to manage our funds properly.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: April 02, 2023, 03:53:53 PM
XRP has been through lots of ups and down due to its SEC issue but it still remained firm and had its foundation stable. It's still profitable and continuously hitting a good spot in the market. I guess it's strong enough to deal with different issues and it's a wise choice to accumulate more of it because ir seems like it's going to strike higher in the coming days. It still has a good market demand because of its high potential.
565  Economy / Economics / Re: Lending money or damaging family bond ? on: April 01, 2023, 04:21:33 PM
~
Although I did not have lent money to my cousin, I had a similar experience as yours couple of years ago. I lent one of my closest friends at that time around $4,000 and expected no return any time soon without any interest. I just wanted to help my friend then so I was not expecting anything from him. However, two years later, I decided to buy an apartment and I kind of needed money but my friend never wanted to pay my money back. Well, I thought maybe he was still short of money and that was fine if he would not pay me back soon. To my surprise, a few months later he was assigned a teaching job in my city and he asked to live in my place for two months for free. I thought this would help him financially so I agreed. However, he forged a lease on rent to get money from his company and kept the money. I thought he might pay back the money I lent but I was too naive. He used the money to buy a brand new camera and never mentioned anything about the money he borrowed from me. Two months later after he went back to his city, I summomed the courage to call him over the money he owed me and he was angery. Several months later he paid the money and blocked my calls since then. That was really an aweful experience and I stopped lending money since then.

I had similar experiences with two of my neighbours at different times. We weren't exactly friends, but we were living in the same multi-flat building so, we knew each other, ok. It was several years ago and both of them never returned the money, no matter in what financial state they were during this time. Are we not friends now? No way, I don't want to be at odds with my neighbours. What's the catch then, you may ask. Well, the amount I lent each of them was around $5. I will never lend them a dime in the future, but I won't be bothering them with "Give my money back either". My point is, lend only what you can afford to lose.

I also had the same experience when I lent my one of my closest friend money because her child got sick. I was a soft hearted person before and it was hard for me to say no especially if it was for emergency purposes. But that friend of mind didn't pay her debt back despite knowing that I will also be using that money to pay my bills. She ruined my trust and from that experience, I realized that lending money can ruin relationships and friendships. If you borrow money for an important reason, you should keep in mind that the person who lent you the money trusts you so you should never break your promise of paying it on time.
566  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: April 01, 2023, 04:04:16 PM
There are a bunch of reasons why people stay poor and can't move to upper financial levels. Sometimes it's the lack of opportunities or resources, and other times it could be due to circumstances beyond their control. No matter how much they try, they just can't improve. This happens mainly due to lack of government support and unbalanced/bad economy of the country. Again, some can't improve due to lack of financial education or not knowing how to break the cycle of poverty. And then there are people that wants to stay poor, wait for others to improve their situation, while blaming the same people for their situation.

Poor people wasn't born with the same privilege as rich people but they can actually change their fate by striving hard. There were poor people who got successful in different fields nowadays so we can't always blame poverty. The problem is, most poor people always rely and put the blame on the government so they end up being devastated and hopeless. They are blind from opportunities that they could grab and they also lack the motivation to change their lives.

568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slot Tournaments - Ever Heard of it? on: April 01, 2023, 02:52:16 PM
I never heard of it and have never thought that it could be an exciting way to gamble. What I could remember is when my friends boasted their total coins and were challenging each other. The person with the highest number of total coins will pay for our dinner. I have never encountered any slot tournaments before but I guess it will be a big challenge and motivation for slot lovers to bet more so they could earn more coins to win. It needs a higher bankroll but if the prize would be worth it then it will surely add spice and excitement to players.
569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your local gambling game that you didn’t see in the crypto casino on: April 01, 2023, 02:35:35 PM
It seems to me that in many countries there is a sufficient number of gambling games that are still not represented in casinos and especially such games are many among card games, because each individual nation plays its own card games of chance. And they are somewhat similar to others, but sometimes have important distinctive features. I will not name the games that are in my country and they are not available in the casinos, but I am 100% sure that in every country there are such games.

Local games are only being featured in local casinos like in our country, online cock fighting is popular. Each country has their own culture-based games and of course, otherwilluntries will only play games that are only familiar to them. Maybe that's the reason why featured games in casinos are almost the same and they only differ in graphics and animations. Featuring different games in casinos will always depend on the demand of the players.
570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Most likely category of people to become Gambling addicts. on: March 31, 2023, 05:03:33 PM

Join the discussion by extending the list if possible.

You can add this

A person who is desperately in need of money can do anything to get money. Gambling is a shortcut to money and many fall for this trap.
So people who are desperately in need of money will easily get addicted to gambling.

Gambling addiction shouldn't be blamed on the person who introduced gambling because it's a personal choice. Anyone can listen to gambling introductions but it is our personal perspective whether to gamble responsibly or fall for gambling addiction. If we are influenced by gamblers, it doesn't mean that we have to be compulsive gamblers. We still have a choice to control ourselves and have the proper mindset toward it.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: History of Crypto Gambling: What is the closest/best successor to Directbet.eu? on: March 31, 2023, 04:28:17 PM
how many memories Roll Eyes
and... their competitions were really awesome!
Unfortunately they didn't continue the business and no one was able to propose a similar betting method.
Now with LN/taproot it could be implemented again as a solution (no double spending etc etc ) but surely it is much more profitable to have a "compliant" bookmaker with KYC Wink etc etc....

It was one of the best bookmakers that I've known. Their events and competitions were too exciting and no wonder why they have lots of bettors before. Gone were the days when we could enjoy betting with their unique concept. So far, I haven't seen any bookmaker that offers the same concept but I hope there could be at least one in the future. Yes, KYC has been the most struggle of many bettors.
572  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone here tried Gambling Arbitrage? on: March 31, 2023, 03:57:51 PM
Sport bookers has confirmed this kind of bet as cheating and you can be penalised for arbitrage gambling by account ban. To use this kind of strategy it needs proper research and skill on every game that you stake on. It also waste time but if you can understand it then you should know if the casino platform that you are gambling on discourage it or not. Why are you anxious to have the knowledge on this ? Be careful with your gambling life so that you don't run into great loss.

Yes, it is illegal in some sportsbook but some gamblers still maximize their profit through it but not everyone could do it because first, you have to spend most of your time monitoring the odds and researching about the capability of players. Also, you would be needing a bigger capital since you will bet on two bookies. I agree that this strategy has a lower risk but it will be a big loss if casinos would track and ban your gambling activities.
573  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Shiba Inu still worth it? on: March 30, 2023, 10:49:51 PM
This is the only thing I can say. If you see that Shiba Inu is still trending and you want to follow the trend then I would say that it's worth it but if you see or think that it is no longer in trend then I it's not worth it. Anyway, Up to you to decide and I think it's better of you prefer altcoins that are used by many people like or try ETH for example. Shiba Inu may be worth it but I think you have to wait for Bull run and the disadvantage of it is because it is a meme coin.

I agree that it will be worth it if it's on trend as some investors have made a profit on it during its hype but it's for you to take the risk. Remember that there were also coins that have been hyped before but still failed and many investors have lost funds so you have to make sure that you can also handle the possibility of losing. If you seek assurance, you better stick to high potential altcoins.
574  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Early Profit can be misleading. on: March 30, 2023, 10:34:54 PM
Should newbie traders be only concerned about making profit? I do not think so.

I feel that every newbie trader should first be concerned about fully understanding trading regardless of if they make profit or not at the beginning of their trading life. A newbie trader who enjoys profits mostly during his early life as a trader may be misled to begin to think that he has cracked the code to trading and will continue making profits. Newbie traders who experience some kind of losses at the early stage of their life but still continue in trading know better how trading can be, and because of the early experience that they have had, they are at a position of becoming much better traders than those that enjoyed easy profit at the beginning which can be misleading. What do you think, let us discuss?
It’s rare to see newbie traders profiting in the market as most of them are into losing. Though beginner’s luck might exist, but majority of newbies still lose at first in trading and when they eventually become pro traders with enough experiences in trading, that’s the time they start being profitable and successful in their trades. However, if these newbies start making profitable trades than lose trades, maybe there are high chances that they will get to know and understand trading the wrong way. Trading should be learn the hard way, that’s why it’s never easy to trade and be successful when you trade without enough knowledge and experiences in it.
You are right but we know that this is somewhat could be called also on beginners luck just like when you do gamble.Yes, its true that it isnt similar but there are really indeed trade calls which we do able to get that profit even when we are just starting which does simply give out that kind of emotion and boost up that it would really be that just simple and this is where OP does particularly meant, but in reality we do know
on how these thing goes and how it would be ending up considering that we are just a newbie then we are really that prone to errors and mistakes. It would really be giving out that kind of impression
that it might be that simple but on the time you would really be dealing off things further then you would be making out realizations.

It depends on our mindset in the first place. Some beginners make a profit right from the start of their trading journey and that could be because they have fully understood and adapted the basics of trading while some newbies could make profit and could think that the same thing will often happen and that trading is as easy as ABC. Our actual trading experience could teach us a lot of lessons and it is important for us to be knowledgeable about managing risks. We've all become newbies before so we know how it feels to fail and make a profit in the beginning and how it helped our journeys.
575  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 3) on: March 30, 2023, 10:21:22 PM
It's been confirmed already that this fight is going to be held in the Philippines, Okada is the venue. Not sure though how much is the tickets, but for sure, Casimero fans love to see in happening in his home soil.

Nonito Donaire will have a good chance to become a world champion again, so that is already a plus for Philippines.

Although it will be better to have another one in the likes of Casimero but it might take a while before he can get his chance.

Though this will not be the first time that Casimero will be fighting in his home country but every time he does, he brings the excitement that a regular Filipino boxing fans wanted. Have seen him in flesh against Sultan and though he lost that fight but i could say that it was indeed an exciting one.

Casimero is one of the best boxers we have the right one in the PH, he recently received an award for being the "Boxer of the Year" so yeah, the chance of being a world champion once again is very likely so for us his fans if we have the opportunity to watch him in flesh then we do as this is one way of supporting him.

It's been a long time since the last time that a famous boxer from the Philippines would have a fight to behind on his country. It will surely bring him more confidence as his fellow citizens will be supporting him. Playing n your own homecourt will be challenging yet exciting at the same time. I'm sure that Casimero will be more eager to bring pride to his country this time.
576  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Neymar Loses €1M in Casino in Just an Hour on: March 30, 2023, 09:54:14 PM
We actually don’t know if its a paid advertisement, since losing that much is very unusual especially if we know that he is not into gambling but upon reading this, he looks more addicted to gambling after losing that much. He earns a lot of money but if he will be more careless like this, he might experience bankruptcy. Though, the post is not to encourage everyone to gambling, his influence can still affect many people, especially the young ones, he should be more careful about posting like this next time.

We don't know if that live stream was indeed a paid advertisement.
But in any case, this may give a different approach to some people.
Neymar is earning a lot of money, but people should not imitate his reaction as he can very well afford such loss even if it is his own money.
And yes, if he will continue to be in gambling, he may likely lose a lot, even his retirement funds as he is going big in casinos.

I certainly agree. He has a large community of supporters so he might influence a lot of people because of his actions. Streamers should be careful of their decisions but who knows? It might be a part of his strategy to attract players if it's really a paid stream. No money could last no matter how big it is if he's an irresponsible gambler. If he will continue to lose big then he could lose all his assets.
577  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: On which Sports do you like to bet apart from the the listed one here? on: March 30, 2023, 09:38:15 PM
Recently I came across a few articles on the Internet while trying to understand what makes sports betting so lucrative. I now know that there are three big sports that every Gambler, Sports Enthusiast, and a lot of fans are engaged in Sports betting. I personally have not seen or realized it but a good majority of teens & preteens are already into it.

I hope everyone would agree with this list:

  • Soccer
  • Basketball
  • Cricket
  • UFC

This list is not based on betting revenue or based on the number of fans. It is simply compiled by me after watching the activity on this board for different games thread. I am aware that I did not add Tennis, Automobile racing, and Boxing as my question is about those sports that are not being discussed here but you do bet on them either occasionally or regularly.

Soccer and basketball has a big fandom and it has a bigger community. These are international sports so no wonder why it has huge number of bettors. I also like betting on these sports also because of my colleagues' influence. Aside from these sports, I'm also betting on boxing and some of the local racing sports in our country as well. There are also underrated sports nowadays that are silently gaining a bigger number of bettors.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is crazy on: March 29, 2023, 05:36:59 PM
This has been happening for years and I wonder why they are still applying this nonsense marketing strategy until now. They are even using God for their dramas which is too insane. Believing or even spending time on them is not worth it. They are trying to hype the coin the stupid way they know. There are better resources that you can use rather than those YouTubers. It's better to search for the rwal potential of the coin than spend time on those women.
579  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 29, 2023, 05:13:19 PM
Because there is one truth, if it will go up, then it should show it will go up, obviously some shocking news could change that in a minute, but unless that happens it should be as obvious as it gets most of the time.

It is technically good, but fundamentally negative then the technical will fail. I understand this since I started trading precisely in 2015. So basically at the moment there are only two strategies that apply in the trading market. That is technical and fundamental and still plus mental management. That combination is an old way that I still use today. Although it does need adjustment to current market conditions. But indeed everyone has their own way that is adapted to comfort and that is what differentiates.

Strategies won't last and will not exist until now if it isn't effective. It only depends on how we apply it and how we deal with the volatility of the market. Both technical and fundamental analyses are needed for us to make concrete decisions when trading. I think the best strategy or edge that we can have when trading is knowledge of what we are doing and managing the risks. Lack of knowledge especially about the basics will surely lead us to losses despite applying the most recent or latest strategies that we know.
580  Economy / Gambling / Re: RoyalStarsCasino.com | Crypto Fastest Growing Casino | Best No Wagering of 375% on: March 29, 2023, 04:52:03 PM
What's your point then? if I'm not mistaken many users are prefer with a casino which ask KYC before make a deposit because it's too avoid getting asked to provide KYC when they want to withdraw their winnings.

But now you're asking them to ask KYC only for suspicious activity or during withdrawal?

I guess you didn't get my point. I did not ask them to ask for KYC only for suspicious activity or during the withdrawal. It's better if they ask for KYC before a user makes a deposit. But, if it's hard for the casinos, they may at least warn users about KYC requirements when they make a deposit. In this way, People will know they have to submit a KYC before withdrawing their funds.

I believe users never want to submit KYC until the system forces them to do it. Crypto Casinos are supposed to be anonymous and it users as well. But, KYC ruined the purpose of Crypto Gambling.

Actually, most reputable casinos nowadays require KYC and gamblers are now used to it. It's better to comply with the requirements that to risk with other casinos with no good reputation. I agree that they should be asking KYC right from the beginning that asking it in the midst of the withdrawal process which will cause hassle to gamblers. It is better to inform their users about their KYC conditions so gamblers would know what to expect.
