1481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: May 01, 2022, 04:07:00 PM
This is a very ancient sport/game. It is not going to get banned. Probably never. Lots of football players die of heart attack every year. They run like horses too. The are many similarities between a horse race and a soccer game. Just because footballers die sometimes, do we need to ban football/soccer? This logic don't make any sense to me.

I should note that after covid vaccination there is a significant increase in heart attacks among athletes, including football players. I won't develop any conspiracy theories around this, but it has attracted a lot of attention.
As for comparisons with human sports, I agree with you, but there is a nuance: everywhere there is some acceptable percentage of deaths after which sport becomes unacceptable. For example, it was great in boxing before, and after the legislators ordered the boxing federation to fix it or close it, doping requirements and some rules were changed in favor of athletes. This greatly reduced the number of deaths in the ring (and out of it).
Now the important question is what is the actual mortality rate among racehorses and whether we can consider it acceptable to require a change in the format of the competition or something else to reduce it.

We have to accept that some animals are being used to make money. Some of them function that way not just because its necessary but tradition. Horse raising will always be a traditional game and it will never be banned because there will be lots of gamblers that will disagree. There are really unacceptable animals being used in gambling but we have to deal with it.
1482  Economy / Gambling / Re: How to get Free games in china? on: May 01, 2022, 03:28:33 PM
You couldn't do all those things simply because crypto gambling is prohibited and restricted in China. There are also terms of service by gambling sites that you have to consider. There's no free casino website and putting up a site would cost you a lot but you still have to consider your location.
1483  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: April 30, 2022, 04:56:02 PM
Saving is the most important thing in investment, if there is no saving then this is like gambling even though the investment provides a large profit, as investors we must be smart in choosing investment so that saving for the short or long term.

Some people choose to loan so they would have funds for investment which I think is too risky when it comes to crypto investment. I believe that the wisest thing to do is to save so there would be enough funds that we could allocate for investment. Crypto is volatile so there's no guarantee of sure profit all the time so saving would be wiser than borrowing.
1484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mistake I made till now investing on crypto projects. on: April 30, 2022, 04:29:34 PM
It's really important to do research first before investing into something no matter how small the amount you will invest because every cents matter. If you will not check where you will put your money, there is a high probability that you will end up losing what you risked.

Actually, the real problem is with people's sentiment. Many people think investing in crypto is a lottery after seeing a meme project like doge and Shiba Inu spike more than 1000% within a few weeks. Lack of proper knowledge about the crypto space gives people a false impression of crypto. Because these newbies took so much loss in their first trade and called crypto a scam.

People could easily be moved by the hype and greed. Having the wrong mindset that crypto is a shortcut to getting rich usually result to wrong decisions on investing with projects that are on trend. People are risking on it without even doing research but just going with the flow believing that they could gain higher profit through hyped projects. It's a common mistake that investors must learn from because most of the time, scammers hype their coins to deceive investors.
1485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Mark Magsayo vs Rey Vargas WBC Featherweight Title (July 9) on: April 30, 2022, 03:44:40 PM
Nothing can reach the achievement of Manny Pacman, becoming an 8th-time division champion is no joke, not even the popular boxer can achieve that soon. Filipino boxers are good, Magsayo is good but he is not as good as Manny Pacman, we have to accept the reality, though let's still give him a chance to prove himself and maybe he'll go up in weight someday and he'll achieve, who knows, but I doubt.

Why compare Magsayo to Pacquiao? Of course, he is different. Is Magsayo not allowed to create his own path and journey? Why there's need of comparing him to Pacquiao in terms of achievements? Let's not discuss it here as that's not even the topic.

Pacquiao is different, Donaire is different, Magsayo is different and every PH boxers have their own chapter. No room for comparing here.

Back to topic, are odds already out? While doing backread, why Magsayo, the Champions, seems like the underdog here just because others are not satisfied with his fight against Russel Jr. Is that the basis now of being an underdog, or bookies already released the odds?

Pacquiao is indeed a boxing legend and the inspiration of new Filipino boxers. We couldn't compare Magsayo to him because Magsayo is still putting up a good name and foundation in this field. He still has a lot to go through just like what Manny did before. It will still be a long journey for him but I'm sure that he could reach Manny's success if he will continue to make his country proud by being dedicated to each fight.
1486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Horse Racing and Gambling on it should be banned on: April 30, 2022, 02:52:06 PM
It's a traditional racing game and despite what is happening to horses, most gamblers are really hooked on it. There are actually lots of animals being involved in gambling which is really heartbreaking, especially to animal lovers but we can't control it since gamblers find it more exciting and thrilling. It's too saddening because animals have to suffer for the satisfaction of gamblers.
1487  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is a game you would like to see in an online crypto casino? on: April 30, 2022, 02:30:02 PM
Chess and other board games would be exciting to see in an online crypto casino. A chess PVP would be interesting. There are other exciting traditional card games that I would love to see and play. I hope there would be a site that will promote traditional card and board games so we could promote each country's local fun games online.
1488  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: online course for trading on: April 29, 2022, 06:01:49 PM
What are the things to keep in mind when looking for an online course for trading?

There are already free resources that you could find online these days. Youtube tutorials and online trading books are some of the ways that helped me learn about trading. It might be confusing at first but if you're eager to learn, you will be able to gain knowledge through it. There are actually lots of aspects that you have to learn about trading but you should begin with the basics for you to understand how things well.
1489  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders paradise on: April 29, 2022, 04:49:08 PM
Thank you all for you clear and insight on this subject matter I now know for the fact that investing is less risky compared to trading as the cryptocurrency market is always volatile but the fact that I lose in some cases does not make me a total failure in trading and haven't lost in some trades and also gain in some other make me realize that skills are the most essential and an integral aspect of cryptocurrency trading.

Losses will always be a part of the journey because there's no such thing as perfect trading. There will always be risks because of the market's volatility but if you're skilled and knowledgeable enough to deal with it, you'll surely succeed in the end. Trading is actually a long process of learning so eagerness and determination, as well as patience, would be the good traits that we should always have.
1490  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most trusted casinos on BTalk on: April 29, 2022, 04:14:30 PM
Hello there. Basically title says it all. The question is targetting veterans on this forum with more experience than me.
If you could take a few minutes and write a list of the most trusted casinos, I would appreciate a lot.
I'm pretty new here and from what i've seen so far, 1xbit, bitstarz and a few more are not really accepted in the gambling community because they have bad reputation. This is for my website that will come out in a few weeks Grin

Thank you!
Basing on real experience.

Rollbit
Roobet
Stake
Bitcasino
Betcoin.ag
Bitdice
Primedice
Duelbits
Fortunejack
and much more..

There are lots of sites to mention but you cant go wrong with those things
i do said above.

I have the same list of trusted casino sites here on Bitcointalk simply because those are the sites that I've tried using and I haven't had any problem when it comes to withdrawal. They also have good feedback and trust rate, especially those who have a trusted team behind them. We should always check on the reputation of each casino site so we'll be able to experience good service.
1491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🔥2022 Pandemic Popular Items🔥 on: April 29, 2022, 03:33:36 PM
For you to be able to advertise your site and gain the trust of users at the same time, you have to be honest about its details and the content of your post shouldn't be deceiving. Always remember that first impression lasts so it's something that you should be careful about. You must be honest for you to convince and attract more players.
1492  Local / Pilipinas / Re: WORTH IT PA BA? on: April 28, 2022, 04:55:46 PM
1493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What kind of coin or token will be chosen and survive? on: April 28, 2022, 04:22:19 PM

I think cryptocurrencies are not able to defeat fiat currencies without changing nations culture and ethics! what do you think?

that is absolutely true, without government assistance it is impossible for FIAT to be replaced. and it is also impossible for the government to want its currency to be replaced by bitcoin. This is very unprofitable from the government side. even though bitcoin was finally legalized, the government would still prioritize their currency. this aims to keep Fiat first.

It can't replace fiat for now and it doesn't have to. Cryptocurrencies' function these days is already enough since it provides convenience and faster transaction and great investment but fiat has been the traditional currency and people are still in the process of adopting the latest technology. Crypto is just good enough to support fiat but it doesn't have to replace it.
1494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk bought Twitter on: April 28, 2022, 03:47:04 PM
I guess Elon is trying to be more influential by using a famous platform this time. He could use it to boost and hype his target coins again just like what he did to Dogecoin. I'm sure that he'll use it for his own benefit. He will use the said platform to be heard and to influence more people. It would be good if he will boost potential and trusted coins and not just meme coins.
1495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Traders Stop Being Greedy. on: April 28, 2022, 03:01:59 PM
One of the reasons why traders loose money everyday in their trading is 'greed'. A trader will hear about a particular coins he wouldn't even do research or proper findings to know the future of the coins which he wants to trade his money on but rather the greed in the trader will push him to use all he has with the aim of making 4 or 5 times of his trading capital.
Traders are big risk takers so everyone should know what he or she is trading on so that when you loose which is normal, you will learn more.
No trader is perfect but mastering coins you trade on can help you, remember trading is like a gamble you either gain or loose.
Do not trade with everything you have, your egg can not be saved in one basket, I have lost but I have gained more in trading with the help of research and mentorship programs.

Greediness could always ruin our trading journey. Aiming for more than what we have could have sometimes led to a worse scenario of unexpected losses. As for me, it would be wiser to set a target goal and be contented when you have reached it. It's fine to hope for a higher profit but there are also times when we should be contented.
1496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which sports betting picks and prediction channel you watch? on: April 28, 2022, 02:37:38 PM
I don't actually have a channel or subscription to predictions groups I only rely on the gambling discussions from different sports forums and sometimes through some websites that I am not familiar with. I just search the match and I see some predictions from the blogs although they are not reliable, I still picked some good predictions.

I'm also doing the same thing. A prediction channel subscription isn't worth it because mostly, their predictions aren't reliable. I'm also reading gambling discussions on this forum because gambling professionals and sports bettors are here to discuss their bets. It also adds knowledge and strategy for beginners than relying on prediction tools.
1497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can Dogecoin become the new BTC? on: April 27, 2022, 05:36:16 PM
Is it possible that dogecoin can beat BTC after Elon musk takes over Twitter? Imagine if Dogecoin is well accepted throughout the world then BTC wouldn't this makes Dogecoin the new coin? This might sound too crazy to dream about but that Elon musk guy can make anything possible.

It could strike a better price but it could never be the new Bitcoin. We all know that Bitcoin has reached lots of achievements and has gained the trust of most users and I think that's its edge over any coin. Bitcoin also has a great function compared to Dogecoin which is usually carried by the hype. People know the real motive of Elon in boosting Doge but I'm sure that he will use Twitter to manipulate more coins.
1498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Klay Thompson @51 for NBA Finals MVP. on: April 27, 2022, 04:18:28 PM
This might be an odd prediction coming for me but I think if the Warriors will go into NBA Finals and win it, I will add Poole in the list of possible NBA Finals MVP aside from Curry and Thompson. We can add him in the discussion just by seeing how he is playing in his first games in the playoffs. If he will be a consistent scorer until the NBA Finals, I think Poole can win it TBH.
The most important player is klay I agree because without him there is no threat for defenses to guard the warriors even though is already with steph and poole but klay adds to it because he gets the release so fast and can make clutch shots when it matters the most.

I also believe that Klay would be the best option because he did the best defense for the Warriors this season and as for me, betting such an amount is worth taking. I hope that they would consider his efforts this time and I'm also hoping that the Warriors could make it to the finals.
1499  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The trend is your friend if you know how to identify it)) on: April 27, 2022, 03:55:08 PM
You still need to be updated on the current events about bitcoin so you will know how to assess if those speculations are quite close to reality or not. Otherwise, you will fall believing in a wrong trend that may lead you into more future losses. However, if you end up having the correct trend in bitcoin, from your technical and even fundamental analysis, that will be your asset so you that you will make most of your trades become profitable, and only few losses.
It’s only people who are very active in the social cryptocurrency community that would be able to get information on things like this, if you’re not steady looking into the current happenings in the market, you wouldn’t be able to tell when it is exactly that there would be a trend for a cryptocurrency. You have to be really active on social platforms and be read cryptocurrency blogs on a regular basis for information of such, and you also need to make use of tools that would help you to be able to predict what would happen in the market.

Bitcoin is always connected to online events so updates will always be available online as well which is actually convenient and easier for us to access. Crypto news is always posted on different social media platforms so we could check on them easily. Different events affect the price of Bitcoin so it's necessary to check on them online all the time. The cryptocurrency community is huge but would help us track the possible Bitcoin movement in the future as long as we're getting reliable details from reliable sources.
1500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where does your country stand ? on: April 27, 2022, 05:55:05 AM
My country isn't on the list either but there's a huge number of gamblers in our country and most of them are really hooked on gambling and it's becoming the root of most crimes here. Some people are stealing and even killed because of gambling addiction. I'm just wondering how the given list was calculated but I wasn't surprised with the countries listed.
