1501  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: sports betting sites that return your money when you lose. on: April 26, 2022, 02:22:03 PM

Agree, they can't pay back people in the long run, yes at the start they can because that is their strategy to pay them at first so that they can say that it is legit and they can earn from it but people are not thinking for future like how do they pay their bills and other business expenses if no one is losing so that alone is a proof that it is a scam unless they are a charity and giving free money to gamblers lol. But i am also amazed that there are still people fall to this though they are kind of aware that it looks suspicious but still they put their money to it.
you are correct, its very hard to trust especially if you use to gamble a huge amount of money because surely after all in the long run there's always a chance for such website to run your money without knowing.
. And definitely a good strategy to get more clients easily, so I hope everyone is aware especially if the website isn't trusted because it's very skeptical.

They could get clients but they couldn't sustain them especially if some users would take advantage of it. It will only be an effective strategy in the beginning but wouldn't work in the long run. As for me, anything that pays a huge profit easily has a huge risk as well and we should be skeptical about it.
1502  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think New Casino Should Partnered With Bounty Managers To Gain Trust? on: April 26, 2022, 12:49:24 PM
If you're pertaining about a signature campaign for a new casino then yes, partnering with trusted managers would be an advantage. Nowadays, gaining trust is quite hard because people want to get rid of scam sites and projects as much as possible so putting up a casino site with the help of trusted managers will surely boost the reputation of a site. Being promoted especially on this forum has a huge point.
1503  Local / Pilipinas / Re: GCash offering crypto services soon on: April 24, 2022, 05:59:54 PM
~

1504  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: So Many Exchanges out there on: April 24, 2022, 05:51:25 PM
This is newbie talk, so don't kill me. I want to learn, but it seems so complicated.

I want to  - sell BTC for ETH, and then sell that ETH for more BTC than I started the trade with. Sounds like a simple way to start, yet I know it won't be.

My biggest concern is that there are so many exchanges. How the heck do I know which ones will pay me after I make an exchange? I know I have to check their reserve balance, but what else should I look for?

Look for exchange with a lot of investors. Better to choose the top exchange to avoid problems in terms of deposit and witdrawal of your funds. It is important to learn first about a certain exchange before using it because there are exchange that always give you a problem and headaches and sometimes ypur funds suddenly lose to them. I always use binance, bitcoin exchange and bithumb which is so far so good and I didn't encounter any problems.

Always check the exchanges' feedback and reviews. That will help you determine if they're trusted and reputable. Yes, Binance is a reputable exchange and it's also user-friendly and is advisable for newbies. Just be skeptical because there are exchanges that have a bad reputation and be sure to do research before so you'll never have regrets in the end.
1505  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Occupational hazards of trading crypto on: April 24, 2022, 05:03:37 PM
Many occupations are plagued with occupational hazards, that is long term effects of staying in a profession for a long time.

say for instance, For retired mechanical engineers who spent most of their active years working in places with heavy machinery with much noise, you'd notice how they always speak at the top of their voice and may have hearing defects.

For retired medical practitioners, due to long exposure to hospital environment that always has a particular smell, you observe that they may loose their sense of smell.

For Nuclear Engineers, they are at a higher risk of suffering the long term effects of radiation after retirement.

Aim of this Discuss
Trading of crypto full time as an occupation is fast becoming a trend, this discuss is to elucidate the long term effects associated with crypto trading so that forum members who are considering it as a career option can know what they should be expecting and how to avoid it.

The very first long-term occupational hazard i can think of is the development of High blood pressure...

What can you add to the list of dangers associated with making crypto trading a full time occupation?

It is safe to assume that high blood pressure develops here, but it depends on what you eat and how often you exercise.  The long term development that can lead to psychological damage is that they cannot be successful entrepreneurs. They cannot expect that positive thing. Proper risk management has the risk of risk management.

Healthy living is the key to get rid of high blood pressure. Also, the proper mindset and caring for our mental health will be a big help for to us maintain a successful trading career. There will be risks in any type of job but as long as we know how to balance and handle all the aspects of our lives most especially our health, we could reach the success that we want because we could focus on our target goal. Trading will be a successful journey if we'll handle our emotions well.
1506  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SHIBA INU - The Next gem in Altcoin industry on: April 24, 2022, 04:03:24 PM
There will be people who make a profit for sure, but the amount of money that will be lost will be bigger than the amount of money made, there will be less people who profited whereas there will be more people who lost money as well. You just can't see this becoming a big hit and stay there for a long time, for example a few years.

This means that if you are in it for the very quick return then I can understand it, but if you are here just for the long term holding then you are not going to actually like what you see. This is why I believe that we should be focusing a bit more on staying outside for the time being.
Even for the very quick profit, there must be something better than memecoins. I am not after very quick profits because I find them unrealistic and also I would be incapable of finding where they are, but at the very least I know that it is not going to be something that I would want to do and risk anyway.

So, I would have to say that the best case we have right now is to send our money down the drain and save time if we want to invest into these type of shibainu like projects. I rather keep them at the top coins that I know and trust for many many years now, that allows me to make money slowly but at least it has less risk of losing money and won't be mocked.

Lots of investors are into quick profit regardless of the coin's potential and purpose. They focus more on the short-term benefit than the long-term purpose of it so they're taking the risks. I guess that's the reason why lots of holders are still hyping the coin because the last time that they hyped it, it reached a good price but things in crypto aren't consistent.
1507  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Delisting of tokens will take place again on: April 24, 2022, 03:52:13 PM
From my opinion, it is important to know the project behind the meme token.
It is also not that important and ensures that it will not vanish over time. The hype surrounding memecoin is that many people are unaware of how it works and makes sense. though it can be profitable for many people, as the hype and navigation in nature lead to a pump dump in this space with things like that. As such, they seriously confuse gambling with investing.

People are just taking advantage of coins that are being hyped not knowing the risk of it. If delisting would occur, I think they will delist coins that have no value and no volume first than meme coins but still have a good volume because exchanges will also benefit from it. Delisting old and dead coins is also necessary these days because they're just filling exchanges which causes confusion most of the time.
1508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Davis vs Romero: May 28 on: April 24, 2022, 03:27:01 PM

It is some Boxers strategy lol, to try distracting their opponents by the use of trashtalk but this is an Old  school strategy in which most boxers now don't give a focus , they even ignore reading or watching from their Opponents until they go up in the ring.
I don't think that he can prove that over the ring , and most of the time? those bullying their opponents are in the end? the one who lose the fight lol.

I love to see boxers that are trash-talking and disrespectful to their opponents getting embarrassed in the ring like what happened to Josue Zepeda when he was knocked out in round one after disrespecting Vargas in their face-off, in their weigh-in
There is a limit to thrash talking you should not underestimate your opponent especially if you're thrash talking a champion and a knock-out artist.

Trash talking is their usual way to hype the upcoming match and make noise. It has been a long time strategy especially for the underdog. It's annoying but it also has a benefit on their end. However, in this match, it's obvious that Davis is the favorite and it's already shown on the given odds. It should be a motivation for Romero to give his best and prove himself more in the ring.
1509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Paradox of Gambling behavior on: April 24, 2022, 02:51:33 PM
Do you do it for winning?
of course winning is the most important, but when it comes gamble we should accept the fact that it's always a game of luck, wherein no one can really tell  the results afterwards.

And that's why i choose to gamble sports because even sometimes my favourite teams didn't win, at least i'm satisfied on the game and no regrets on my decisions. Lol

Winning is actually the first motive of gamblers. Lots of us are hoping to be lucky and gain a huge amount of jackpot prizes. Others are just doing it for entertainment purposes but those are the people who have lots of funds in their pockets. As for me, having the right mindset and goal of winning could motivate players but putting a wise limit is also a good move.
1510  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: airdrops never make money on: April 23, 2022, 04:40:40 PM
Airdrops nowadays are too different from the airdrops that we had few years ago. Most of them are scams and will only ask you to do lots of tasks that could also put your personal details and social media accounts at risk. It would be better to look for other opportunities that crypto could offer rather than relying on airdrops that will only waste our efforts and time.
1511  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I lost +$ 20k in future, advice for newbies on: April 23, 2022, 04:08:38 PM
Unfortunately, there are quite a few such stories, thanks to the author's frankness, futures are not for beginners, that's for sure, the worst thing is when a newcomer by a lucky chance makes several successful transactions on futures and gets into the taste, then the market usually eats such people, just think a few times, try on spot trading, if it fails to make certain conclusions.

Lucky are the beginners who could read testimonies like this because when I was a newbie in crypto, I didn't know the risk of future for beginners. I also lost huge funds on it which caused me confusion at first but later on taught me a lesson to study about how futures trading works. I failed and it was too late for me to realize that it wasn't for me. That was a terrifying experience but at least I've learned from it.
1512  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Using Crypto profits on: April 23, 2022, 03:34:27 PM
I allocated enough funds for crypto investment and make sure to roll it as long as I'm gaining a profit. I've been buying and selling good coins for years and whenever I gain profit, I just reinvest it with potential coins. I always do the same cycle though there are times that I lose and fail. I've learned that investing in good projects will always be an edge, especially in top coins.
1513  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I think its time to start my crypto trading lessons on: April 23, 2022, 03:12:55 PM
I believe no one can learn everything about crypto in one day so there is no giving up on the part, always learning every day,  now I think its time I move into crypto trading, not in rush but i am less busy this days, I want something I can slowly learn about so is there any books or video about crypto trading? A genuine stuff that has almost all answers to trading, candles and other stuffs that a newbie needs to learn first?..

Trading is actually a long process of learning and you couldn't learn fast if you won't have the eagerness to understand it. I've also learned about trading through online books and video tutorials. It will be confusing at first but as long as you're willing to learn and try to understand things about it, you will surely gain more knowledge that you could apply in your future trading journey.
1514  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: April 23, 2022, 02:32:58 PM
Lots of casino sites have a rewarding referral system but they have different TOS that you have to check first. Your reward will be based on the number of referrals that you would refer and the amount that they will deposit. You could pick different casino sites if you want but keep in mind that each of them has different referral rules that you have to follow.
1515  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sign Up Bonuses on: April 23, 2022, 01:57:57 PM
Actually don't expect to receive free credits without any deposits but incase they do give you free credits in your account I am sure that there would be a high rollover requirements before you can withdraw it usually even though they have promotions it will be in favor for them since it is a business.

They wouldn't create promotions that will not benefit their end. It will always be in favor of them and it's part of their strategy. As for me, we shouldn't grab all the promotions and bonuses being offered when signing up if we aren't willing to reach the roll over or withdrawal and deposit requirements.
1516  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best apps for sports betting tips on: April 23, 2022, 01:45:53 PM
I don't think using those kinds of apps would be reliable. I actually didn't know that sports betting tips apps do exist. Mostly the result of sports betting is based on luck so there wouldn't be an app that could predict the result accurately. Players could actually do that especially if they know a lot about a certain sport.
1517  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: April 22, 2022, 05:14:34 PM
I've read a post that if ever Meralco wins the 6th game, then the game 7th is going to be on the Philippine Arena. Well, it's already been said here IIRC a few days ago.
But the thing that caught the attention of the people on that post is about "IF". They've given a big meaning to that because they're telling that Ginebra is going to lose in advance.

I don't think that way. There should be really an advance update regarding the future venue and that is necessary as fans need to adjust. Traveling to Bulacan is not that simple for others compared to going to Araneta and MOA Arena especially those who lived in the capital.

It's not that PBA will just release the announcement where the venue for Game 7 should be after the Game 6. Don't take it with a wrong impression. Smiley

That's why the term "if necessary" is always present at any game series match, here or outside the local league.
Welp, Ginebra won and they're now this conference's champion. And it's just an "IF" if ever there will be a game 7 but not anymore.
The conference has ended and it's a sweet victory for the Gin kings and the next conference is I'm excited for, Alaska out - Converge in.

The result is too expected. Ginebra has been very consistent this season but I didn't expect that Alaska would be out this time. It was a tough match for Meralco but the exhibitions shown by Ginebra are obviously well determined to win. They deserve their spot.
1518  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's preventing bitcoin from worldwide adoption? on: April 22, 2022, 04:38:17 PM
I think the biggest obstacle today is the number of countries that are still banned bitcoin, Bitcoin is currently only legalized in a few countries and most countries choose neutral, but in my country has implemented taxes on several local trading sites so the direction of my government will likely legalize Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies

If only more countries would legalize Bitcoin instead of banning it, more adoptions will happen. The government is just afraid of Bitcoin as a decentralized currency simply because they couldn't regulate it so there will surely be authorities who will show disagreement with its legalization. However, I still believe that there will be more countries that would adopt and value it as a currency in the future.
1519  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are new bitcoin users early or late to the party? on: April 22, 2022, 04:17:45 PM
I feel like I'm too late and the btc price is literally just gonna go sideways forever. Or maybe a slow gradual push up. Maybe in 20 years it will be worth half a mil.

I dont think we're gonna see anymore gains like people of the 2010s and 13s experienced. and even 2017...|

Will btc ever hit a million? Or hundred million?

I kick myself so hard every night going to sleep that I didn't get in earlier. Liek I'll literally have dreams of being in 2013 when I first heard about it and buying some... T_T

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies always offer lots of opportunities to earn so I don't think you're late for it. Bitcoin is still profitable even for newbies but you have to deal with its volatility so you'll know how to deal with every market situation so you'll know when to invest and when to make a profit. Bitcoin is for everyone as long as you know how it works then you could grab the opportunities that it offers.
1520  Economy / Economics / Re: Elon Musk makes offer to buy Twitter on: April 22, 2022, 03:33:03 PM
no wonder because twitter is the most influential social media platform in the crypto world, and Elon really wants to rule the crypto world. but reportedly Elon's wish could not be realized because there was a prince from Arabia who refused to sell his Twitter shares to Elon. At least from this problem Elon learned some important lessons, namely not everything can be bought with money and something big (crypto) cannot be controlled or dictated by one person.

Elon could afford to but Twitter but he will just use this platform to manipulate more coins just like what he did to Dogecoin which is actually not too effective now because people have learned about his real motive. It's a good thing that shareholders aren't selling their shares to Elon. That simply means that he couldn't take everything that he could afford.
