As I guess swimming has nothing to do with this Olympiad, but you have touched on an interesting topic. Has anyone seen information about trans athletes who will participate in this olympiad? As far as I remember, several trans athletes took part in the last summer olympiad, but did not achieve any success. I also wonder how such athletes will perform in China, as far as I know such things are not welcome there.

You cant expect medals from trans athlete straight away. They are very recently included in olympics and its a welcome move, nobody cares about people who are not in favout of there inclusion. Give them some time and space just like we gave to normal athletes. On 21 July 2021, at the same Games, Canadian non-binary soccer player Quinn became the first transgender person to compete at the Olympics, playing for the Canadian women's soccer team.

The match fees and annual contract amount for Zimbabwean players are much lower when compared to the international players from other test playing nations. Most of them supplement their income by representing club sides in England or franchise T20 teams. In case of Brendan Taylor, he has represented teams like Nottinghamshire, Chittagong Kings, Wellington Firebirds, Uthura Rudras and Khulna Titans. Not sure how much he would have earned from these teams, but it would be far less when compared to the IPL salaries.

He is also part of IPL as he was in sunrisers hyderabad. If getting less money is issue then whole Pak team should do match fixing since they dont play IPL. I also dont know exactly how much he earned through international matches and leagues but it must be adequate enough to live a good life. Its sad to see such senior player going in that manner.

What do you mean highlighted by Indian media? Pakistani media was the one that highlighted the blast that recently happened in Balochistan. They were debating about it for two days and not only the mainstream media but the complete social media was questioning the  Pakistan army. There is nothing new both countries blame each other for everything.

Well there are proofs that whats happening in Balochistan is funded by a neighbor country. Every country has its own internal issues, i remember how closely BAN team survived a killing attempt in NZ but nobody boycott going to NZ for playing cricket. There are matches in the past in Pakistan without any issue.

World Giants have managed to win the Legends League Cricket 2022. Though this tournament was not much hyped or watched but for those who wished to see old players in action, this was their time to see their heroes in action. World giants faced and beat Asian lions by 25 runs at Al Amerat.

Seems like you are also the only one who sharing his views about this match just like I am sharing my views on PSL. After IPL, PSL is the biggest cricket league the quality of pace bowling seen here is incredible. The only limitation of PSL is that star players of rest of the world do not participate in this tournament.

So we now have 3 teams from Big 3 (England, Australia and England) and Afghanistan team in the semi finals. All Eyes will now be on Afghanistan, as they could make history by winning the first Under 19 world cup. If Bangladesh can do it last time, why cant they be the winner this time.

It was not only there national squad that is too good in playing cricket, the U19 team reaching semi final clearly indicates that Afghanistan has talent that can take cricket in Afghanistan to further heights. I am interested in seeing Afghanistan winning this U19 WC as this will be good for cricket as we have one more permanent member joining in.

love to see such product getting live where everything is integrated in one app. The real test is whether you can deliver what you are promising in your whitepaper or not. These days product is totally different then what is said in the whitepaper, hope thats not the case here.

They have done quite a good work to come to this stage and I am sure they will deliver what they have promised. good thing is that they have claimed what is easily possible to implement. Its best to offer things you can deliver otherwise you defiantly land in trouble. I am waiting to see what they are going to roll out.

Brendan Taylor is a very underrated player and it is unfortunate that his career is ending in this way. Everyone knows the hardships Zimbabwean players are going through and therefore I won't be surprised if some of the players fell victim to bookies. The ICC is also blind to the complaints from the players. There is simply no accountability from the cricket board. 90% of the funds they receive from the ICC gets stolen and in the end players are left to fend for themselves. Sad to see another great player going down in this manner.

He has played over 205 ODIs, 34 Test and 45 T20I for Zim before getting this ban. He has also played IPL and other small leagues like PSL and Lanka League. I don't think money is problem for him as he must have earned huge money after playing such cricket. Its just greed that is chasing players and they wanna get rich over night.
568  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 29, 2022, 07:43:22 PM

I wasn't expecting anything different. Bangladesh is still a level below other test playing nations, be it among the senior level, or at the U19 level. Bangladeshi players are mostly sourced from college and school teams and most of them have no experience of playing outside that country. On the other hand, Indian players are taken care by the richest cricket board in the world and many of them already have IPL or state level contracts. Players like Rajvardhan Hangargekar have already represented the state team in Vijay Hazare Trophy.

If richness can buy talent then Indian team wouldn't be in such situation like they are right now. The problem with Bangladesh is something else they don't have adequate talent in the country. They are playing as test country for over 20 years and they haven't won even 20 test in these 20 years. I would say team like Afghanistan and Ireland better deserve to get test status.

I really absolutely do not understand what is the problem with touring Pakistan!!

I mean if you want to just look at the Indian news channels and media and predict that some unbelievable terrorist attack is going to happen on the Australian team then my suggestion is just to stay in Australia and better stay in your house, and don't ever go out!!  Undecided

I do believe that the situation is not as bad as the media is trying to portray. I think Pakistan have made the right decision and should hold onto their decision.

Whenever there is some country trying to play cricket in Pakistan there is some blast or other such activity which is highlighted by Indian media only. Pakistan officials blame India for sabotaging NZ tour to Pakistan, PSL is underway in Pakistan and its going perfectly fine, there are players from England and Aus taking part in PSL with no problem.

PSL Update:Multan Sultan today quite easily chased 203 runs target set by Lahore Qalandars.
Shan Masood has not played any T20I for Pakistan and is included in Multan Sultan team. He is player of the match in todays game as he managed to socre 83 runs of 50 balls. Meanwhile the runs scoring machine for Pakistan aka Muhammad Rizwan is scoring runs in PSL, today 69 runs of 42 balls.
571  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 26, 2022, 04:45:37 PM

I have to agree because one team batting first or second does not decide the winners and the losers of that match. And any team is going to take the advantage of the toss that's why toss is a thing in cricket.

And I think as the tournament progresses the matches are going to be more competitive and close. I am hoping to see some really close matches especially when the big names face each other.

Toss is key element in some areas like we see in recent T20 WC at UAE that team who won the toss and bat second wins the match. I don't know how significant is TOSS in U19 WC games. Teams like PNG are not up to the mark of U19 WC but still its good that more countries are joining in and gain some experience.

The World biggest cricket League Pakistan Super League (PSL)  Season 7, 2022 is starting from tomorrow. The matches will be played in Karachi and Lahore. The atmosphere is electric and the hype is at its best.

Below is the official theme for this year PSL. A must Watch  Smiley

I don't think its biggest cricket league but yes after IPL its among the top leagues. Good to see PSL launching its 7 season, the anthem is really nice. Anthem will be more attractive for people if it has English sub titles. Important thing is all PSL matches are in Pakistan this time. Can you tell how many overseas players are participating in this PSL?
573  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 26, 2022, 04:05:52 PM
Yes, there was a time when the on-field umpire code directly call a no-ball if he just thought that the bowler was throwing.
But after the Muttiah Muralitharan incident against Australia, the rules have changed for the umpires.

An umpire cannot just call a no-ball for throwing. First, he has to give away to the bowler, then to the bowling captain, and then consult with his leg umpire. And Virat can obviously be emotional but he needs to understand that he cannot cross a certain boundary. Even though he knows that he is deprived of something which he deserves.

Muttiah Muralitharan incident happened in era when small boards have some space in ICC body. Arjuna Ranatunga the then SL captain took firm stand on that non-sense move by Aussie umpire and it was fully supported by SL cricket board, as a result Muttiah Muralitharan continued his career without further interruption. Nowadays rules are set to favor Big 3 players, no major player from big 3 is reported AFAIK.

Meanwhile Pakistan cricket fans can sit back and hold there seats tight as, Australia's tour of Pakistan is 'reasonably well down the track. CA official George Bailey, has confirmed that till now there is no player who has refused to play in Pakistan. If CA tours Pakistan this March then it will also benefit PSL as CA payers will also participate in PSL.

What do you wanna say about this video mate? Just a link and nothing else.
Can OP throw some light about how MASS is solving the blockchain trilemma of centralization, security and scalability?

Thats the irony that OP is silent and so are MASS social media channels. The prject has so much to offer but there is no news coming from the team. I am very sure just few updates from the team can lift the price of this moon but dont know when they will give some update about the project. I am waiting.

I don't know why this coin has market cap of 80k on daily basis. Its price is continuously going down but still there is a community that is continuously investing in this coin. We cant say this coin is dead yet since this is a lot of activity.

The answer to your question lies in your own script. Since the coin is having a decent volume on daily basis that means it has a community backing it. Deflationary projects are created to burn the token and reduce the supply. Decent volume means there is adequate token burning on daily basis which will decrease the supply.

Dhawan have given good start and the same is being continued by the performance of Kohli. The winning percentage of India has increased to 57% and the next two wickets is much important for South Africa to turn the match towards their side. As of now 138 runs required from 123 balls with 7 wickets left. This looks like a winning match for India.

The game is very much balanced now as India need 120 runs in 17 overs. Good thing for SA is that kohli is gone and India now has 6 wickets left. One or two wicket here may tilt the game towards SA. India need runs and don't wanna lose anymore wicket.
578  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: January 23, 2022, 02:46:20 PM
The current score of India is 101-1 in 18.4 overs and virat and dhawan are looking pretty good again but today I believe India will chase this target down. Expecting a big innings from virat kohli today. He is betting at 35 but looking very comfortable right now. Dhawan also looking good for a century.

Dhawan is gone after playing his part of 61 runs. Now Pant is there with settled batsman Kohli. India are no doubt favorite at the moment but they should not relax as they still need 170 runs on 162 balls. SA need to get rid of kohli as soon as possible to win the match else it will be impossible to win the game.
579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: January 23, 2022, 11:32:59 AM

Here all things just happening for IPL and this is not going to solve red ball related issues now after losing in South Africa troubles having more voices and these all will be settled for short term against Sri Lanka and Australia home series which is not good.

That's understandable, if India want to focus on IPL only then its fine they must then bear such ODI and Test results. But if they wanna remain in test and odi then they must think out of IPL and do some tough decisions. But right now whole world is crazy for IPL that's why nobody is worried about how India team is performing in tests and ODI.

South Africa vs India

It's 3rd and the last match of the series. India won the toss and was elected to field. I don't want to bet on India's victory anymore. Batsmen are not regular, moreover, Indian bowlers are not doing well on such a pitch.
South Africa has scored 42 runs in 8 overs, but they have already lost their 2 wickets. However, opener de Kock is still at the crease with 27 runs. If he stays at the crease, South Africa will be able to give big targets.

South Africa's collection is now 130, of which Quinton de Kock is scoring 78 runs. The batting of today's match in South Africa looks like the batting of India in the last few matches. Top 3 batsmen have been out, none of them could play well. If South Africa could somehow score 260-280 runs today. Then, as usual, India will lose today's match.
Quinton de Kock scored 78 off 83 balls, and Dussen scored 22 off 26 balls.

If was no 1 and 5th batsman that have done the job for SA, kock scored brilliant 124 before getting out. Dussen is not out on 52. Seems like SA will comfortably cross 300 as they have scored 217 runs while 78 balls are still remaining. SA must try to cross 280 from here on to whitewash weak Indian side.
