601  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: GUGU - The meme coin killer on: October 28, 2023, 11:38:21 AM
Another "killer" Smiley Yes, your site really impressed me. It would be nice if you could make some description of your token. What your token is created for, roadmap, tokenomics, investors, developers.... Although, what am I talking about Smiley
602  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 26, 2023, 03:17:37 PM
Since the appearance of your topic, I personally have deleted no more than 30 topics. Don't forget that the Russian section has two moderators. So no need to attribute to me what is not there (nepotism, etc).
For the record: I didn't blame you for deleting those shitposts Smiley

Yeah, I'm sorry. That wasn't meant for you.
603  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 26, 2023, 10:52:16 AM
I checked: in those 58 topics, he earned 202 Merits.
Update: modlog now shows 78 deleted topics, in which Ratimov earned 369 Merits.

Since the appearance of your topic, I personally have deleted no more than 30 topics. Don't forget that the Russian section has two moderators. So no need to attribute to me what is not there (nepotism, etc).
604  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 07:50:48 PM
Now you are eliminating any last evidence.

Yeah, it's a severe case. I see there's no use in explaining anything to you. What's wrong with you? I have nothing more to say.
605  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 07:12:14 PM
Let me explain. How should I put this for you to understand what you are doing...?

Now let me explain. Inappropriate comparison. There is NO pieces of evidence in these topics anymore. They are empty, what pieces of evidence do you want to see there? The author of the topics has already deleted all of them (did some work as a janitor). It's empty, do you realize that? Or don't you? What information will you get from these types of topics?

67л

34е

67ш

etc.

I repeat again, the topics are empty, there is nothing there. What pieces of evidence do you see in these topics?
606  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 06:02:21 PM
And now mods are also actively contributing to his attempts of deleting any remaining evidence of plagiarism. All good.

Is my English so bad that you don't understand? Or are you trying to troll? What is not clear in what I wrote above? Moderators do NOT delete posts and information from Ratimov's topics. He does it himself. Moderators only delete EMPTY topics that nobody needs. What good will it do if these topics remain in the section as they are? Who needs them? There is nothing there anyway.
607  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 02:48:38 PM
The moderators should be ashamed of it.

Why should moderators be ashamed of doing their job? What do you think a moderator should do if he sees such garbage topics in the root of the section under his control?

One topic shows an error to me "appears to be either missing or off limits to you". Other three: one with 2 merits, one with 24 merits, anther with 30 merits [I hope my count is correct]. Not saying it should be an obvious indicator but those topics must have good contents hence they were merited. Let's leave it to see it from that aspect.

I haven't done anything with any of the above Ratimov's topics at this point. So another moderator is handling them.
608  Economy / Reputation / Re: Ratimov is deleting self-moderated topics. He now goes onto my Ignore list. on: October 25, 2023, 02:43:03 PM
xandry, Xal0lex, would you confirm how many topics you have deleted or do we have a way to check statistics of which moderator deleted which users topics, posts how many times?

I haven't personally counted how many topics I've deleted. Maybe 10, maybe more. And plus at the moment there are a few more of Ratimov's garbage topics in the section, which will also be deleted in time. You can go to the section yourself and see how many of these topics there are at the moment. You can also go to modlog and do the math yourself.

What do you think a moderator should do if he sees such garbage topics in the root of the section under his control?
Isn't that what bans are for? To stop people from posting garbage?

I don't have the authority to ban users.

etc.

Do these trash topics have to stay in the section, or what? Go to the root of the Russian section and browse the pages, there are plenty of such topics. So what, let them lie around? What kind of moderator would allow such a mess? So naturally, the moderators delete them.

Anticipating a question about the content that was there, so that's not interesting to me. I see what's in those threads now. We don't need such trash topics in the section.

611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buy on growth on: October 24, 2023, 07:11:04 PM
It's risky to buy during growth, but that's what most market players do, because of the FOMO effect. When something is rising, the hamster has the feeling that it might be missing out on something valuable and important right now, so it buys along with everyone else. Smart money never does this, it only buys during a big drop or during a market lull when volatility is at a fairly low level.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Market warms up, what altcoins can help me rich? on: October 24, 2023, 06:38:40 PM
There is no need to make predictions and analytics based on twitter analysts. There are many false statements among them aimed at creating certain thoughts and expectations in the crowd. This is how the big players manipulate all the small investors. The media is part of marketmaking, so always do your own analytics rather than blindly trusting what is written on social media.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoins have dropped at least 10x in this bear market and will easily 10x on: October 24, 2023, 05:50:53 PM
As title says, for example Solana dropped 10x, will it easily 10x again during next bull cycle in late 2025?
Last time round I bet on BCH to 10x having dropped 10x.... IT DID SWEET FA.

What say you?  Wink
It is much easier for altcoins to fall in price than to rise. If something has fallen in price 10 times, it does not mean that the price will soon return to its previous values. There are plenty of altcoins that once cheapened, never managed to repeat their former success. So I'm not sure that Solana will be worth as much in the future as it was worth in 2021. It could be the same story with XRP, where the price of the coin will never reach ATH for many years.
That's why, it's not really good to make investments based on the fact that a cryptocurrency has fallen a certain percentage and it will gain the same or more value during the bull run because if it fails, you will lose all your money, so it's better to invest in coins that are attracting more investors in recent times.

That's right, only a few altcoins follow the bitcoin pattern and constantly rise, fall and recover. Most of the altcoins are designed for a short period of time, if we are talking about the investment period. Bitcoin can be bought once and wait for 10 years until it grows a lot, in the altcoin sector I would not risk holding any coins for more than 5 years without fixing part of the profit, if there will be any at all. Many altcoins die much sooner than 5 years.
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects. on: October 24, 2023, 05:47:17 PM
For what purpose? What do you want to get out of, say BNB or XRP, within 5 years? Do you really believe that these coins will generate much more profit than bitcoin? No, they won't bring you that much profit, and if they have no clear advantages over bitcoin, why would you buy them? Why?
Why 5 years? The bullish-bearish cycle is 4 years.

Does everyone always buy at the very beginning of a cycle? If someone buys in the 3rd year of some bull cycle you're talking about, does that mean they need to sell a year later? That's not how investing works. Cycles are for speculators and long term traders, real holders don't need them.

According to may experience, the price increases of some altcoins can be more significant than Bitcoin.

Your experience is just your experience, it is not some authoritative signal for everyone, unfortunately. If altcoins gave good returns in 2021, it doesn't mean they will give equally good returns in the future. The problem with your judgment is that you are trying to see altcoins as behaving like bitcoin, which is constantly rising, but altcoins very often have a different behavior and can rise just once and then be at the bottom all the time.
615  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will BNB prevent the moon of TWT? on: October 23, 2023, 08:21:40 PM
What will be the fate of TWT during the bull run?

No one knows that. We can only assume that everything will be fine, but if some critical vulnerability is discovered tomorrow, all these assumptions will collapse like a house of cards.

Is TWT good for DCA?

No, it is an altcoin, only bitcoin is suitable for the DCA strategy. In other cases, you risk losing money using this strategy.
616  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice on: October 23, 2023, 07:44:10 PM
Use only liquid coins for business, don't collect all the junk they try to force on you. Your customers want to pay you with low-liquidity garbage that they can't use anywhere else. Use bitcoin, stablecoin or ETH to accept payment, any shitcoins should be ignored.
617  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised exchange getting better than Decentralised exchange? on: October 23, 2023, 07:06:52 PM
Centralized exchanges are needed for trading, decentralized exchanges are needed for swap, where you use your wallet. It's safe and fast, but expensive. Centralized services are prone to scam and hot wallet attacks, decentralized exchanges are prone to vulnerabilities in smart contracts and rug pull scams in liquidity pools. I can't say any platform is better than the other as they both have their advantages and disadvantages. There is no perfect solution.
618  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stablecoin censorship on: October 23, 2023, 06:41:56 PM
It's very possible. If you use bitcoin for P2P transfers, you don't need any censorship and AML checks, but as soon as you try to use bitcoin as a means of payment in traditional finance, your bitcoins can easily be censored. Mass Adoption will not happen without the global integration of bitcoin into traditional finance, i.e. banks, stores, services, etc. Bitcoins may well be censored when interacting with these entities.

That's the main selling point of Bitcoin. You can use it freely without background checks, or credit checks of any kind. No one can confiscate or freeze your funds at will, because of the way BTC was designed. With stablecoins, it is different. An issuing company (middleman) takes control of the distribution and supply of the coin itself. Smart contracts are coded in a way where the creator can simply add addresses to a "blacklist" if transactions are deemed suspicious. This feature makes stablecoins centralized and prone to censorship. It's like entrusting your money to banks. You don't see that coming with decentralized stablecoins such as DAI and USDJ. Developers can change the code to "comply with regulations" if they want to, but there's nothing stopping the community from creating a fork that puts enphasis on decentralization and censorship-resistance.

Despite the inherent flaws of centralized stablecoins, don't expect them to disappear anytime soon. They will continue to gather widespread support from banks and governments worldwide until they become "a force to reckon with". It's in "Wall Street's" best interests to keep stablecoins alive for a long time. As long as we have one decentralized cryptocurrency (Bitcoin), nothing else matters. Just my thoughts Grin

Centralization will not disappear, rather the opposite. With each new cycle, cryptocurrency will be embraced more and more fiercely by corporations, banks and regulators. Cryptocurrencies are no longer just a geek's toy, they are a huge trillion dollar market with growth potential. No one will allow such funds to move freely and uncontrolled around the world. Regulators have long been integrating their products and services to control the crypto industry, and we all obediently accept it. Look at the Worldcoin phenomenon, it's a cryptocurrency that people voluntarily carry their personal data into. These people don't even realize that cryptocurrency was created for privacy, not de-anonymization.
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which old coin do you prefer? Litecoin or Dogecoin? on: October 23, 2023, 06:38:47 PM
A bad example is contagious. Many people are absolutely unable to analyze and have no opinion of their own, so it is easier for them to listen to someone and repeat after them. Various opinion leaders take good advantage of this, gathering such an audience around them. DOGE is more speculative, while Litecoin has a strong fundamental and utilitarianism, but in the crypto world utilitarianism is valued much less than the opportunity for speculation, which is why various junk coins are so often growing in value on the crypto market.

It's very unfortunate to see crypto heading into the wrong direction. What was once driven by utility, is now driven by hype/speculation. This situation diminishes innovation, as developers won't care about anything else other than making a quick buck out of investors' own pockets. You can see why Dogecoin's resurgence in popularity brought a wave of worthless "meme" coins into the market. Such coins often have more attention than Litecoin or even Bitcoin itself.

Despite this, I believe there's always a place for Dogecoin due to its inexpensiveness and blazing-fast settlement times. For serious transactions, you can use Litecoin as an alternative to Bitcoin. For micropayments, tipping, or even gambling, Dogecoin is a much better option. If the aforementioned coins stay decentralized, they should be able to last for generations. Just buy, "hodl", and forget about the rest. Grin

In my opinion, fiat is to blame for everything, as usual. Cryptocurrency was created as a means of payment and an alternative to conventional money, but what happened is that cryptocurrencies are not used as an alternative to fiat, they are used to exchange it for fiat. The crypto community itself is to blame for the fact that they started to interact with fiat more and more, thus attracting the attention of regulators more and more. Cryptocurrency has a phenomenal idea and concept, but people are not yet able to fully appreciate it.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An Existing Pre-Sale that you can recommend Is There a Token That Is Available? on: October 22, 2023, 07:50:31 PM
Check the ANN topics that are projects here in Bitcointalk, you might like something.

This advice is good, except that the forum very rarely publishes topics with announcements of really top projects. Can you find topics with announcements of, for example, Arbitrum, Aptos, ZkSynk, Starknet? I see publications, mostly of all kinds of garbage projects, which even with the presence of a topic with an announcement cause a clear dislike. The forum is good as a bitcoin knowledge platform, but as for altcoins, it doesn't always support current trends.
