1101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Beginners Should Avoid Leveraged Tokens Trading on: June 18, 2023, 12:12:16 PM
It's better not to trade anything with borrowed funds at all, especially for beginners. Beginners with any kind of leverage are likely to lose their money. If someone starts his way in trading, he should consider only spot trading and only basic assets, such as BTC, ETH, etc. Young projects with derivative trading possibilities are very unpredictable and can fall forever before they start to recover. In spot trading, you can wait for infinite amount of time, but in derivative trading, you can't sit in a negative position forever. Sooner or later a margin call will happen.
1102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Any advice for invest my first 600$ in altcoins? on: June 18, 2023, 12:06:51 PM
$ 600 for 1 altcoin is of course still very profitable than $ 600 just to buy Bitcoin,
therefore your choice to buy altcoins is the right one, I have a good recommendation that you can hold until the bull run returns or maybe hold until 2024 or 2025,
that is the Origin Protocol, yes one of the altcoin projects that is still off the radar and still very undervalued, buy and hold OGN I'm sure you will get a lot of profit.

In the last bullrun it was a very good project for profit. It was one of the first projects on Coinlist, if I am not mistaken. There is one uncertainty in all this, because the coin is already quite old, it is more than 5 years old, if you count since the ICO, it is not sure that it will update its ATH, or will grow at all. You can take a risk, but I wouldn't put all the money into this altcoin. I would recommend OP to add at least one coin that entered the market last year, or this year. The younger the coin, the more likely it is to make a good profit.

1105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 17, 2023, 04:07:10 PM
Indeed, some investors anticipate a crash and opt for liquidation. But is that prudent? Your claim that Bitcoin wont plunge below $25k in a crash is audacious. Yet, given the crypto market' notorious volatility, its unwise to set such rigid limits. Markets dont adhere to our wishes, correct?

That is an extremely optimistic statement if anyone thinks bitcoin is incapable of falling below 25k. It is not such an insurmountable level that it can be considered some kind of foundation that will never crack. In my opinion, a price of 20k looks much stronger than the 25k mark.

Selling during bull runs is traditional advice. However, pinpointing the onset of a bull run is like solving a complex puzzle. Who declares its commencement? Do we recognize it when we're in it? The crypto market' unpredictability calls for persistent skepticism.

The point is that people talk about bull cycles and selling during this period, but very few people can define the scope of this bull cycle, where it begins and where it ends. Usually it only becomes clear after the bull cycle is over.
1106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 17, 2023, 12:41:27 PM
Bitcoin does not have a team that oversees its development and promotion, so the comparison in this case is not correct. Altcoin can make a rapid growth in a short period of time. For example, the same PEPE managed to do that, or SHIB. Bitcoin took about 8 years to make a million percent profit, altcoins took less than a year to do so. Altcoins grow much faster than bitcoin, but they also lose their value at exactly the same rate.
This is true. The value of altcoin can grow exponentially for a very short amount of time and lose it's value at same time. There are only few percentage of altcoin that really retained their value over the years of existing. This is people who is really eager in getting profit only target altcoin investments as it grows fast and massive. This is why I don't invest on altcoins that has a low current value after having a very high all time high on it's peak. The chance of them gaining back their prime is a very small chance. Majority of altcoins are pretty disposable.

There are many nuances here. It is worth considering when the price was at its peak. If, for example, it happened last year and the price fell by 90% or more, it might be a good investment. If the altcoin price peaked 3 or 4 years ago, and after that it never rose to those values again, then I agree here, it is better to stay away from that altcoin, because it is unlikely to show any good growth in the future.
1107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why haven't anyone created a crypto currency name Merit yet? on: June 17, 2023, 11:43:35 AM
What good would it do and who would want it? Another shitcoin that will have low liquidity, little demand, and a terrible schedule that will immediately alienate the potential investor. You could make another memcoin on this theme, but I don't think it would add any utility to this token.
1108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Recommend me altcoin to DCA till halving on: June 17, 2023, 10:38:16 AM
Altcoins that have the potential to follow the bullish trend are of course altcoins that do have strong fundamentals,
the most important thing is the activity of the project in all aspects, that is in product development or their social media activity.
if the altcoin project fulfills these aspects then 90% of the altcoin can be bullish after the halving.
and my recommendations are on Sand, Mana and FET.

I don't agree with that. Fundamentals are exactly what an altcoin needs to keep its value as high as altcoins without fundamentals and utilitarian properties. This is what helps altcoins last and have value over the years. During the bull run, everything grows, regardless of whether the altcoin has good fundamentals and utility or not.
1109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you planning to accumulate for 2025 on: June 17, 2023, 10:35:40 AM
New projects and new altcoin are very susceptible to failure in the future - so only do it if you can afford to lose it. The best advice is - buy bitcoin and hold it, I think you can expect long term returns with it.

Also, keep in mind that older altcoins are the most inefficient assets in terms of future profitability. If such altcoins do not differ much in returns from bitcoin and do not outperform the bitcoin portfolio in terms of the same returns, then what is the point of investing in these old altcoins at all, especially over the long term. You won't get much profit from these coins, but they look much more risky than bitcoin.
1110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Litecoin's comeback on: June 15, 2023, 04:18:11 PM
Litecoin ever since Charlie Lee resigned from the team has been a stagnant, and doesn't have any big updates aside from the Mimblewimble update.
I don't know if there are some big updates that happened within the project, but nevertheless, they have been out in the limelight for years already, and nobody is talking about that coin anymore.

That doesn't stop it from growing further, without Lee's involvement.

Now can Litecoin outperform Bitcoin?

It's never going to happen.

The only advantages Litecoin has over Bitcoin is the low transaction fee, profitability, and transaction speed, but overall, Bitcoin has the advantage, and to answer that, it's a no. I mean can you imagine a coin that has little to no update can outperform the top cryptocurrency right now in terms of market cap? I'm a bit surprised that it's still in the top 50 despite of it not being talked on the internet for years. Well, it did drop down to below the top 10 though.

The experience of bitcoin and ETH shows perfectly that a coin's transaction cost advantage is of extremely low importance for that coin's adopting and leading qualities.
1111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ethical memecoin; PEPA on: June 15, 2023, 03:14:06 PM
What do you think about PEPA?

I think nobody needs it now and it will continue its fall, just like its counterpart, PEPE. The memcoin market is very transient, so such tokens should be considered only as short-term speculation. I'm not sure that those investors who bought PEPA at prices that formed at the end of April will ever get any profit from their investment.
1112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you invest in a project that might take years to outshine the market?? on: June 15, 2023, 02:21:43 PM
If it would surely bloom them what's the rush?
If it could steadily grow and secure it's place in the future then I don't really care if it would take years as long as the project would survive and grow.
Bitcoin took years to grow so don't expect that alt coin could do it in just a short spam of time.

1113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Interview candidates needed for academic research on wrench attacks on: June 15, 2023, 02:06:17 PM
Without any research you can understand one important and at the same time simple truth. Do not tell anyone anything about your business and successes in cryptocurrencies. Never and under no circumstances. Because crypto users themselves are the ones who lead intruders to their own identity and expose their own crypto savings to attacks. IRL I pretend to know nothing about cryptocurrencies at all, pretend to understand nothing about it and know nothing. Judging from other people's experience, most often users are victims of attacks because they share their crypto successes with their inner circle.
1114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 14, 2023, 05:03:05 PM
If bitcoin does not renew its bottom, then BNB will also keep its support at the $200 level. I agree that we are still in a bear market, but it is unclear which part of it. I'm more inclined to say the final part. And unless there is some major economic upheaval or a major scam of some famous crypto project, we will probably keep these current low values, which were formed last year.
That's not going to happen, Bitcoin isn't that affected by the whole incident, it's doubtful that we'll see a new bottom for Bitcoin. Thus, there's still a decent chance to see a stop in this bloodbath, it's already looking quite positive, but let's not speculate just yet, it's too early to make accurate assumptions.

It may be just beginning. The incident has not had a strong impact because it may not have fully occurred yet. So far we see only some attacks and accusations. If the attacks escalate into active criminal cases, bans and all-out harassment, the market may react in the most unimaginable way. I believe that right now the conflict has not yet died down and, things are still to come and the worst may await us within a year or so.
1115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Infinite supply altcoins on: June 14, 2023, 04:26:37 PM
true use case is also something crucial for every project same as fundamental as well in which gonna determine the demand.
even though there are some coin that could still thrive without this, but it's important to ensure that even in the future the coin will still have its place and its market capital
to be growing, usually though coin with most use case are those that derived from smart contract blockchain.
we all know ethereum is having infinite supply but it's still considered a good investment because the use case is there.

It's not just about the use cases and demand for the blockchain space. We should not forget that well-known smart contract platforms, such as BNB, ETH, also have a combustion mechanism that saves them from increased supply and inflation. Despite the fact that coins with the combustion mechanism also have a maximum supply, it allows them to retain their value well, even during market dumps.
1116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are BRC-20 stablecoins the next big thing? on: June 14, 2023, 03:50:33 PM
There's a new stablecoin "in town" that goes by the name of Stably. It's a BRC-20 token issued on the main Bitcoin blockchain. I believe it's the first kind of stablecoin to be ever released on BTC. I'm not sure if it'll be backed by Bitcoin itself, but at least, Bitcoiners can now use stablecoins without having to move to another chain. The downside of this is that it will increase on-chain fees by a large margin. It's an Ordinals inscription after all. Would you imagine USDT, USDC, and other stablecoins launching their BRC-20 version on the BTC blockchain? It would be a complete disaster! The idea is cool, but it's best to move everything else to a separate chain or off-chain scaling solution to keep BTC fast and cheap for everyone to use.

What are your thoughts? Are BRC-20 stablecoins the next big thing? If not, why? Do you think BTC will be able to survive a flood of BRC-20 stablecoin transactions in the long run? What do you think about Stably? Will it have a future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Smiley

Whatever appears on the bitcoin network, be it stablecoins, NFTs, memcoins, tokens, smart contracts, etc., it all hurts bitcoin itself and its users. Why these attempts to complicate things and make things worse for everyone? As if anyone was in dire need of stablecoins inside the bitcoin blockchain. Absurd. Bitcoin users are not interested in these trinkets, they are interested in fast transfers and low commissions, because bitcoin is first of all a currency, not a platform for launching various cryptocurrencies. With its scalability, it's definitely not worth doing.
1117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BEP20 OR ERC20? Preferred token on: June 14, 2023, 03:38:40 PM
Cool
So which one, is better in your overall opinion to work with and why
Erc has higher fees and its slower but still remains the favorite

Or WX
http://HTTPS://PEPEWX.TECH New tokensale

Definitely ERC-20 tokens. Although in both cases the commission will be high due to scalability issues of these blockchains, but ERC-20 has the advantage of a much wider distribution and developed infrastructure for these tokens. BRC-20 tokens will be a gimmick for a long time to come and it will take some time until the crypto industry creates an infrastructure around them, if of course this token format survives at all in the future.
1118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: PEPE time to buy NOW? on: June 13, 2023, 03:19:19 PM
Hype around PEPE is over and now no one needs it, no one is talking about it. All those who bought at the peak of the hype are now recording big losses. I think this token will continue to fall for a long time. The token fulfilled its function perfectly, enriched its creators and repaid the expenses that were spent on its promotion and shilling in the cryptocurrency community.
1119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will China takeover as the leader in blockchain and start the new bull market? on: June 13, 2023, 02:52:03 PM
We need to monitor market trends and global events to make correct investment decisions. The imposition of unclear regulations and the departure of developers from crypto-related projects in the US could also be a factor in China becoming a leader in blockchain technology and crypto.

Whether China could take over the leadership in blockchain and launch a new bull market in crypto remains a prediction and uncertain. China is showing a particular interest in blockchain technology and has launched efforts to develop and use this technology in various fields.

China is too unpredictable and it is primarily interested only in its digital yuan, which is a direct competitor to cryptocurrencies. I am not sure that with such interests, China will develop cryptocurrency as well as the United States. I am more inclined to think that Hong Kong or the Arab Emirates could be the global leader in cryptocurrencies. Too much different news is coming out of those regions, but I certainly wouldn't count on China's support for the entire crypto community.
1120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins airdrops you received so far for the year 2023 on: June 13, 2023, 01:13:22 PM
Airdrop differs from Airdrop. Most of the airdrops not from  projects of renowned teams which have worked on long term building and having a huge backing of finance end up being scams and attempts to hack people's wallet.
The airdrops that worth going for are the ones from the likes of Arbitrum you mentioned and they don't really come for free most time.

These are retrodrops, and they are different from the usual understanding of airdrops. Retrodrops have always been valuable because tokens are awarded for early use of the service or for providing liquidity within the ecosystem. The user is paid for contributing to the project, which is why the distribution of tokens is so generous.

Airdrops very often imply actions such as subscribing to social networks, bringing referrals, etc. The value of such contributions is minimal, therefore one should not expect any special value from such drops. Usually they give tokens for a few tens of cents.
