1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: One Car at a Time: How NFTs are Helping Combat Global Air Pollution! on: April 25, 2023, 06:14:28 PM
When I see how they try to cross some shitcoin with some global problem and present these tokens as something utilitarian and helping to solve some problems of mankind, I immediately associate them with another scam with a beautiful legend. Does anyone believe that these NFTs will really contribute and help anything? The only thing they will contribute to is speculation on these tokens and lust for profit on another beautiful idea.
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: April 25, 2023, 05:52:15 PM
Bull market is coming, and the hype for a meme token is starting to come back again.
Its good to see the top meme tokens still here in the market and able to survive the bear market but seriously, $1 is too impossible its like telling to go beyond Bitcoin which I believe will never happen. SHIB is a good meme token because of a good hype, probably a new ATH in the next bull run but it will not on the price of $1.

It won't even sell for 1 cent, let alone $1. Right now the price of SHIB is $0.0000102$, to reach even 1 cent, the token needs to grow 1,000 times. В 1000. This would be realistic if this token had just been released and had a ridiculous capitalization. Projects in the top 20 won't grow 1,000 times their current values even in 15 years. So you can forget about $1 at all and never think about it again.
1423  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Contract Addresses: The need to be more cautious on: April 25, 2023, 05:16:02 PM
Now, in the wave of AI hype, there are many different clones and all sorts of projects that parasitize on well-known projects. Even if the ticker is the same, even if the name of the project is the same, you should always pay attention to the network in which the smart contract is deployed. The most popular networks for scamming well-known projects, in my opinion, is BNB. Every day there appear thousands of dubious tokens, which have zero value.
1424  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New projects come out when bull market begin. on: April 25, 2023, 05:11:33 PM
Scam projects use the hype in a bull market to promote their scams with people overlooking the common red flags because of the hype. Thing is that investing in the bull market is an overall loss, be it altcoin or bitcoin because the price will go down in the next step and then you will be in a bad situation - the bull market is rather the time to sell and profit and wait for the next bear run.

So going by that ideaology, we should not invest in new coins coming up during the bull market. But most newbies dont understand this and make the mistake of spending money on many such projects.

During the bear market, scams are also very popular. I read on a forum somewhere that over 100,000 scam tokens were discovered last year, the scale is impressive. A hype on new altcoin trends doesn't have to be in a bull market. For example, last year there was a hype on various Move-2-Earn projects caused by the StepN project hype. As a result, scammers took advantage of the popularity of this trend and deployed a lot of different pacifier projects, which did not represent anything of themselves and quickly went bust.
1425  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoinsplayed in the entire cryptocurrency industry on: April 25, 2023, 05:03:46 PM
It's no secret that most frauds happen with cryptocurrencies, new scams appear every day, investors constantly lose their money, wallet hacks, rug pulls and phishing attacks take place. All this negatively affects the reputation of altcoins themselves and the industry as a whole.
This is true to the core, no wonder the name of bitcoin and crypto is tarnished because of the number of scams that altcoins have pulled off and the common people would not separate the two. There are also these HYIP/MLM which have been scamming people for years and no law enforcement to dig them out. That gives a bad name to crypto related investments.

Bitcoin, too, in its early days, had a hand in being associated with all sorts of shady dealings and fraud. Then, when regulation began to come into the industry, these associations were greatly reduced, but altcoins have intensified this effect over time. The paradox is that cryptocurrencies imply anonymity and decentralization, but where this very anonymity and decentralization is present, that is where fraud happens, if we talk about altcoins. You need a very fine balance between anonymity and trust in cryptocurrencies, and you can't do that with altcoins.
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrop gains tracker on: April 25, 2023, 06:13:53 AM
Since airdrops started to become trending nowadays. For example, you will get free tokens from the different projects while just participating in any activities on their platform, just like recently what happened to the Arbitrum network.

I want to see a list of them with different information like how much the price started to trade when they airdropped the tokens, how much has already increased since the airdrop of the price, etc.
I tried to google, but I can't find any, maybe I'm using the wrong keywords  Cheesy.

Any idea? Like website/platform that got information like these?

These are not airdrops in the usual sense of the word, but rather retrodrops and other forms of ICOs. As far as I know, there are no such services, and all the services where the information about upcoming airdrops is concentrated, there are projects of a completely different level, usually shytcoins, which nobody needs and which have almost no value. I get information about new promising retrodrops and token giveaways for completing tasks from various thematic groups on Telegram, which cover such events. The services you're looking for haven't fully launched, they're just being tested, like the service https://www.nfd.tools
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What role have altcoinsplayed in the entire cryptocurrency industry on: April 25, 2023, 06:08:20 AM
I think altcoins have played a rather negative role in the life of cryptocurrencies, forcing many governments and regulators to tighten laws and regulations on cryptocurrencies. It's no secret that most frauds happen with cryptocurrencies, new scams appear every day, investors constantly lose their money, wallet hacks, rug pulls and phishing attacks take place. All this negatively affects the reputation of altcoins themselves and the industry as a whole. Altcoins are mainly used as a means to enrich a narrow circle of people, and everyone else just loses money on these coins.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 24, 2023, 06:38:09 PM
In general, in the coming period, it is better to invest more than 15% of your investments in alternative currencies, and the rest in Bitcoin and stable coins.

Too much of the portfolio is for bitcoin. If 85% is in bitcoin, why spend the rest of your money on altcoins at all? It makes almost no sense, then it's better to spend all the money on bitcoin. If we are talking about a diversified and multi risk portfolio, then I would allocate 40% for bitcoins, 20% for old altcoins and 40% for new ones, then this portfolio would have a good chance to grow well in 3-4 years. If the purpose of the portfolio is not to quickly multiply funds, but to preserve the value of the money, then there is nothing worth considering except bitcoin.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: they change the way we handle money and own things ? on: April 24, 2023, 06:14:01 PM
as decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and non fungible tokens (NFTs) become more popular, will they change the way we handle money and own things,

or will they only be used by a small group of people(like now being used) ?

Are DeFi and NFT becoming more and more popular? I wonder if anyone can remind me of the last of the newly released high-profile projects from the DeFi or NFT category? I think those token categories lost their popularity a long time ago when the hype for those projects ended. Is NFT even of interest to anyone right now? Other than for speculation, does anyone buy these pictures? I have big doubts about the popularity of these tokens. Now the community is interested in the topic of artificial intelligence and various tokens-layers, 0, 2, etc.

1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: April 24, 2023, 05:33:44 PM
Future blockchain games require strong configuration and slow gameplay that persists over time. The value of the token is no longer something that shapes the entire value of the game, but items, land, and characters in the form of NFTs have an important role.
People have experienced shoddy projects. People need to ignore the get-rich-quick mentality and stick with the game to develop a stable and sustainable project over time.

I have a feeling that there is no future for play to earn, this trend has passed and is unlikely to return in the form in which it was in 2021, on the wave of its maximum hype. No one needs these projects now; no one is trying to enter the market with a large-scale project anymore. These projects no longer attract a lot of investment, because the time for this business model has passed. It has shown its complete ineffectiveness and absolute unviability, because the community itself is killing these projects. Those who previously invested in such projects over the long term are more likely to find themselves in the loss zone or forever stuck with a pile of tokens no one needs. If this industry is reborn, it will already be in a different form and with a different business model and it will already be completely different projects, new projects, and everyone will forget about the old ones.

The blockchain game will continue to grow and only real serious projects remain.  There are many games that take a long time to build similar to Minecraft.  I already mentioned that NFTs will have a high value.  Sometimes tokens are just an intermediary currency for people to turn to NFTs.

NFT games won't release as massively, indiscriminately as 2021. That's like the startups we've seen before.  The market will purge weak projects.  I believe that Metaverse will continue to grow steadily in the future with the existence of crypto.

Just not in the form in which these very games exist now, they need a radical change so that these projects gain vitality, and not die with the appearance of the first difficulties. Many people associate NFTs with scam and shitcoins, so without significant industry redesign and regulation, NFTs are unlikely to be of high value to anyone. The year 2021 showed perfectly what 99.99% of all issued NFTs are really worth. Their value is zero.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: April 24, 2023, 05:29:54 PM
...if a token is new, it's better to avoid it, but if it's old, a bit of research before the investment should do well.

No, no, and no again. Why is there such a common misconception in the community that new tokens should be avoided? Why? Where does this misconception come from? Do you realize that you're setting yourself up to wait for the token to make a major profit, to grow a hundredfold, and that will look like a signal to you that it's time to get in there? Really? Have you ever seen big investors or funds do that? When you buy yourself a shirt in a store, do you also look not for new shirts, but for ones that have been worn for a few years so you can definitely buy that particular shirt? Once upon a time, coins like ETH, BNB, DOGE were new too, and all those who maintained the same mindset as you did deprived themselves of the opportunity to change their lives in a cool way for the better.

Agreed. Trying to avoid new tokens is actually killing the meaning of investment. Why would the perfect thing happen to everyone if there is something that involves lower risk and higher return ? When Bitcoin came out more than a decade ago, even the buyers at the time would not think anything huge at the time, probably they just randomly found this name was fun and threw a dozen bucks to buy in. The only question about new tokens is how to make optimal choices within reasonable research or critical thinking.

I don't agree that it kills the point of investing, because investing doesn't imply that you have to be an early adopter. Rather, it kills the point of venture capital investing, where the investor invests at the earliest stage of project development in order to maximize returns. Venture capitalists are the most profitable investors in the investing category for the reason that they buy coins at the lowest prices and get the maximum profits, while exposing themselves to minimal risk because the project does not always fall below the price at which they bought the coins.
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid cryptocurrency phishing attacks on: April 23, 2023, 06:48:34 PM
Less need to participate in all sorts of dubious airdrop and events related to the draws of new cryptocurrencies, as well as less need to follow all kinds of links in discord, where you supposedly won something, and also carefully check your mail for phishing links, this is the most frequent phishing attacks, in which people lose their money. Also in NFT marketplaces they often slip fake NFTs, which supposedly are very expensive and you suddenly have one of these in your wallet.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 10k investment on: April 23, 2023, 06:26:49 PM
Why XRP and ADA when ETH is better than all the current altcoins and the second choice might be BNB.
XRP and ADA lack hype and have been abandoned by their investors.

Bitcoin is the main long-term investment, then ETH and BNB are other alternatives. It is better to choose a coin that definitely has many investors and is clear. rather than waiting for a long time 1-3 years with an unclear coin. Bitcoin next year will also have a Halving event and now is the best opportunity to invest in Bitcoin.

At the same time, if you choose to invest in such heavy coins that have been on the market for many years and have shown hundreds of x's of profit, then you must have a good deposit so that the expectation of several years until this coin grows significantly again is justified. If you invest $500 in such coins, it is as inefficient as possible in terms of developing your deposit, as such coins are unlikely to grow more than 5-7 x's.

1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 23, 2023, 05:21:22 PM
Doge on the other hand is a meme project that went up due to hype created by Elon, which means if he pumps it again then it could happen, but if he doesn't do that then it may not get that high ever again. Could it break over ATH? If he tweets about it at least once per day, then it will definitely break it without a doubt, he did that for a while back in 2021 and that's how it got so high, same could happen. But if he doesn't do anything about it, then there is no way that it could go up that high ever again.

It's just that tweets alone aren't enough anymore. Now people have already understood where these tweets are going, so his mentions don't fuel the price too much. In addition, now there is not so much liquidity in the market to pour it into all sorts of projects, like doge, so we need scale here, we need people to have another hysteria, so that Musk again bolted DOGE to some product, like buying Tesla CyberTruck for Doge, and it happened on the wave of the general bullrun, then maybe DOGE has a chance to shoot up to $1.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Next bull market comes in June on: April 23, 2023, 04:55:55 PM
Assumptions are simply opinions and given that there's no certainty of how will the market behave in general, it wouldn't be advisable to rely on such speculations especially with your investment decisions. Bullish marjet is more assumed to occur next year because of the anticipated halving. It just happened that early this year, an increase occured which quite built a hype to the investors to expect an early uptrend but right now, a correction have occured which surprised them. Best thing to do is to wait for things to calm a bit than to go up against the flow of the market. No one knows when will it exactly occur so atleast be patient for now; that's the best thing to do.

I still believe that it will happen exactly in 2025, not earlier, that is when there will be a full-fledged bull market, which will again break records in capitalization of the whole crypto market, bitcoin will show a new ATH, and all tokens will grow like by leaps and bounds. The bear market has just ended or is about to end. It's too early for things to start rising and too early for everyone to be consumed by bullishness. Plus, I'm sure the big players can still create a big false fall or a fake start to the bull run.

What kind of sharp decline can we talk about when we see only 10-12% correction of cryptocurrency prices. Now the market has quite naturally gone to correction, so I expect fall down to 20-25% from current highs, which were shown by the top cryptocurrencies a week ago. In summer, by the way, the market is almost always bearish or does not move at all, so you should hardly count on the summer bull run.
1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is it advisable to invest on Solana? on: April 22, 2023, 05:57:41 PM
Hello buddies, I am considering buying Solana coins and holding for a very long time. I want to know if this is a good idea before forging ahead to buy it.

Thanks for your responses.

How long? If, for example, for 2-3 years, it is quite an applicable strategy for such an asset, but if for 5-7 years, it is a very bad idea. Many altcoins, especially after some shocks, very often grow in a very limited range and no longer update their ATH, such altcoins need to be able to fix profits in time and not to overextend. There is some possibility that SOL will never reach its ATH again, like EOS for example. So better do your research and decide the time frame of the hold, because solana is not bitcoin and a long hold may not bring the same effect as bitcoin. Keep this in mind.
