1581  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LEECOIN is amazing on: March 19, 2023, 01:40:29 PM
The louder a coin's headlines, the more likely it is either a scam or a mediocrity. This coin has zero liquidity, zero trading volume, zero volatility, the project is not listed anywhere, no one knows anything about it, but for some reason it is in the amazing status. An ordinary shitcoin, which nobody needs, and which will never show anything significant in its life. So it will die on some unknown exchange, until it is delisted and completely forgotten about.
1582  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: March 19, 2023, 01:21:39 PM
the reason why people prefer to be paid with tether rather than bitcoin is because bitcoin is very volatile, while tether is a stablecoin, bitcoin is indeed profitable if the price goes up, but what if the price of bitcoin at that time is go down, then of course no one wants to be paid with bitcoin, so bitcoin it is an uncertain thing

In a way, you're right and people who prefer stablecoins are understandable. Bitcoin payments are very profitable during the bull run and, conversely, extremely unprofitable during the dumps. Sometimes you have to wait for a very long time to get back to the previous bitcoin price, but all people do not have that much time, so they have to fix bitcoin at the actual price, calculating the loss. The same participants in various campaigns, I think, have often faced this problem.
1583  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: March 19, 2023, 01:11:07 PM
Do you think that meme coins still have a chance to do well in the next bull market? Would you still invest on projects like shiba inu and floki inu.

Meme coins have always been in the category of high-risk investments, although there are exceptions like those projects promoted by Elon Musk, because they have impressive support and capitalization. All other projects are clones of already released and successful meme-coins, they have zero value and are created only for quick enrichment of their creators. 99% of meme-coins are frankly trash and useless projects, so investing in such coins is extremely doubtful activity.

1585  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is ETH the King of Altcoins ? on: March 18, 2023, 05:21:41 PM

There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the King of cryptocurrencies. If we only focus on altcoins, ETH is the most successful smart contract platform that owns the largest base of fans compared to other altcoins. The current market cap of Ethereum is over $200 Billions and the this will be more likely to increase in the long term. Can ETH be considered as the King of Altcoins ? What do you think ? Please let me know.

ETH has always been and remains a major altcoin in the crypto industry. With all the flaws and questionable actions on the part of developers, ETH's utility is still strong and so are ETH's fundamental qualities. There have been a great many ETH killers over all this time, offering lower fees, more stable blockchain performance, speed, and scalability, but developers always choose ETH because it is number 1 both among smart contract platforms and among all altcoins.
1586  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Question about Infinite supply altcoins on: March 18, 2023, 04:46:46 PM
Friends, can you invest your money on an altcoin that have an infinite max supply? I have interest in a altcoin, it have the ability to render RPC service to other crypto project, but the infinite supply is a big turn off for me, do you think it's worth the risk? The name of this project is POKT, Pocket Network.

Infinite supply itself is not some strong obstacle if the project itself has strong fundamental characteristics and utility. For example, the same ETH. In addition, the project, with infinite supply, can have a coin-burning function to control the issue. If we are talking about new projects, I would consider such coins only when they are worth very little and when they are at the very beginning of their lifecycle. In principle, it is possible to profit from Pocket Network, now there are good conditions for that. But this is not investment advice, always do your own research.
1587  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? on: March 18, 2023, 04:10:50 PM

The recent price drop of Bitcoin and some bad news on the market may cause a new round of FUD for investors. With the price going down, Bitcoin will be more volatile in the short term and the Altcoins that depend on Bitcoin will go through more ups and downs. In this bear market, more investors are hesitant to any Altcoin investment. Apart from the macro environment factor, what truly holds you back from investing in Altcoins ? Please let me know your thoughts.

Most of these investors you're talking about are making the most common mistake among crypto investors. They buy altcoins when they start to rise, the same is true for bitcoin investors. Surprisingly, people bypass cheap coins and happily pay attention to coins that have become more expensive than they were yesterday. It's some kind of crypto paradox, no other way around it. Any investor should buy when things are down, when prices are in the red zone, and sell when things are up. But many investors, for some reason, do exactly the opposite.
1588  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of Layer 2 and Arbitrum on: March 18, 2023, 03:45:04 PM
I think Arbitrum will be further developed and implemented in different crypto services. Right now Arbitrum support is still quite weak if we talk about different services, but there is potential, especially considering the difference in commissions compared to ETH. I consider Layer 2 as one of the main direction in altcoins, which will get hype in 2024-2025, and ZK-Rollups may also be affected by this hype. It is also worth paying attention to Layer 0 projects.

I don't think the support can be considered weak when the network is barely launched and operational, there are already projects showing interest in building in this l2 network and to be honest, i think they will receive lots of support, have you used arbitrum eth to transfer? the fees are similar to the eth we use to know way back when.
They are new in the space but i believe they will have many interesting projects wanting to work with them because it is easy and less expensive.

But it should not be considered strong either. If we're talking about speed and popularity, the difference in fees isn't always the most important factor. If I use certain services and wallets, and there is no Arbitrum there, this will not make me look for those services and wallets where Arbitrum is present. I just choose another network. Let there will be a higher commission, but I will not have to perform any additional actions. I hope that over time, Arbitrum will be represented in almost all popular wallets and services, but now its distribution is very low.
1589  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FUN Token updates/announcements on: March 18, 2023, 03:42:04 PM
But for short term people, they'll be encouraged to dive in because of the daily volume as it's looking good.

In the short term, speculating on fan tokens is not a good idea, because short-term is a risky business in itself. Bitcoin in the short term can deprive many traders of their money, and a fan token that has no bottom and no strong support can deprive money ten times faster. Fan tokens are a profitable tool only for their creators, any owner of these tokens is already in the risk group, so if someone wants to profit from tokens in the short term, then look better at projects from top-100, they are much more reliable and attractive.

Hi sir,,

I have been banded on the forum for stealing information. Please unband. From now on no more information will be stolen and no spam will be posted.

This is the link of his ID which has been banded.

You were banned for plagiarism. This is a very serious violation of the rules of this forum. I don't think there will be any unbanning. Not only that, your current account $$Laden918, is also in violation of forum rules: you are evading a ban. Therefore, this account may also be banned.

1593  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In the best interest of investors, Bounties shouldn't be paid in Tokens on: March 17, 2023, 04:42:31 PM
I don't know who needs to hear this but after years of being a bounty hunter and keeping a close eye on how bounties are conducted, it's safe to say most projects make the biggest mistake of paying bounty hunters using their native tokens, why do I say so, well bounty hunters don't share the long term foresight as the project to the point of being a hodler to grow with the company but rather see their bounty payment as a service and will sell the tokens for less to get whatever money they can because they owe nobody anything.Of course, for the project to pay using the tokens is cost cutting but if the project is truly slated for the future, paying using non-tokens is a good signal for a strong project.

Going forward in the best interest of investors and the project itself, hope to see "more" bounties being paid with established coins in this industry.

What do you guys think?

To somehow stimulate the development of projects that use the Bounty model, we need to introduce a vesting system, as implemented on IDO Launchpads. People receive coins, but they cannot sell them all at once, but only after a certain period of time, and the unlocking will happen gradually, monthly by a few percent of the total stake that has been earned by the bounty hunter. This way there won't be an abrupt withdrawal of liquidity from the project.
1594  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FUN Token updates/announcements on: March 17, 2023, 03:43:59 PM
Which FUNToken are we talking about? This one? https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/funtoken/

If yes, then this project is more dead than alive. 6 years have passed, no development, although capitalization is still maintained, apparently due to trading on Binance. This token is definitely not suitable for holding, rather for short-term stock speculation, it has a bearish graph. 4 cents in 2021 was probably the limit for this project and it is unlikely to go higher.
1595  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens when new altcoins encourage religious, political and other agendas? on: March 17, 2023, 03:23:39 PM
There is no great success with such coins. Most Islamic states treat cryptocurrencies negatively, and many even completely prohibit the use of cryptocurrencies, considering it all to be some kind of fraud and a threat to traditional life. Before that, there were various crypto projects that touched on religious issues and promoted Islam in the crypto community. All these projects turned out to be scam or abandoned altogether due to low interest in such projects. Cryptocurrencies have not yet entered the ordinary life of the population so much as to create such projects and expect success from their implementation and promotion.
1596  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of play to earn games on: March 17, 2023, 03:18:09 PM
What do you think about play to earn blockchain games? Do you think that video game players will one day abandon Sony and Microsoft companies for play to earn games or Microsoft and Sony will one day be forced to allow play to earn games to run on their gaming devices?

The future is hazy and unpromising if players will again come to the project for earnings rather than for entertainment and the opportunity to be part of a community that will constantly evolve. Current Play-2-Earn players look like freelancers who came to the project during its hype, quickly did some routine work, collected some liquidity and ran away to another project. What kind of development can we talk about with this approach to gaming?

...and also few members were banned for abusing AI tools to farm account and fish merits but its more of mods choice if I am not wrong.

That's interesting. Are you sure the accounts you write about were banned for abusing AI tools? Can you give me one concrete example of an account that was banned for such actions? Exactly for using AI tools. I think that they were banned for other violations, because the moderators do not have a specific decision about the AI posts at the moment.
Myself don't know exactly they were banned for using AI but it looks like the user https://bpip.org/Profile?p=hasan21 banned for spamming using AI tools with the reference of this thread : Bounty spammer meets AI Chat generator. Can they be banned on the spot?

Because generally for spam the user will get temp ban unless they committed the mistake multiple times in the past and didn't change their posting behaviour even after temp ban but this user got permanent ban straight away correct me if I am wrong.

Or maybe he got a permanent ban for plagiarism. There was a complaint about this user right here. Either way, we don't have a specific rule about using AI tools. In principle, we don't need such a rule. For such posts (topics) you can use existing rules ( p. 1, for example).

1599  Other / Meta / Re: Request Information Moderation: Topic edited, no info on: March 14, 2023, 09:33:24 AM
With that came another question:
How does the forum deal with a person's right to be "forgotten"? Imagine that a user wants to delete all his activity from the forum, is it possible?

There is no such function on the forum. A user can delete all posts and topics created by him/herself and block himself/herself with a secret question. But. Deleting everything a user has written on the forum won't do any work, because we have tracking services that save everything that is written on the forum.
1600  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin earning by sats on: March 13, 2023, 06:24:23 PM
It makes me wonder why people create opportunity and at the same time try to screw their contributors..

Because any experienced person who is involved in the crypto industry knows that the fastest earnings come from scams, not from providing some services. It's much better to take everything for yourself than to constantly share it with someone else, leaving you with only a portion of the funds. This is why crypto scams are created, because they are insanely profitable, you can spend money on templates, spend money on advertising and then build a good pool. While cryptocurrencies are still very weak in terms of regulation, while cryptocurrencies are too unexplored space for many, while people will chase easy earnings, scammers will feel fine.
