1161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Chinese coins pump coming? on: June 06, 2023, 05:28:11 PM
hopefully after June 1, Chinese narrative coins can start to rise again I'm sure of that,
because marketcap from China will come slowly on altcoins, because we are still in the bearish season so it's only natural that altcoins will experience a correction,
and in my opinion that's good because we are given another chance to buy coins from china.

We should not look at the pedigree of the project, but at its tokenomics. Just because a project is Chinese does not mean that it is now obliged to grow when any restrictions are lifted. Look at the investment, the circulating supply, the exchanges and liquidity of that coin, and the overall timeline. Then it will become clear whether this coin will grow or not. If the founders are Chinese, growth won't just happen, the industry doesn't work that way.
1162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Brazil Fan Token Down 60% After Losing to Croatia on: June 06, 2023, 04:51:50 PM
Well, that's expected, it's a fan token, I think everyone who are buying fan token should realize that they are buying those tokens not for investment but for supporting something that they love. If you gain some profit on fan token then it's good for you, but people should also expect to loss more if they invest on fan token.

Fan tokens are bought purely for speculation, because that is what they were created for. To speculate on famous sports and popular sports teams. These tokens have no utility or useful properties. They are ordinary shitcoins, just like memcoins or NFT pictures, whose purpose is to enrich their creators.
1163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin vs XRP? on: June 06, 2023, 04:49:33 PM
I have been researching more into XRP lately and have read price predictions ranging from $5 to $100 next bull run.

Oh my God, what a naive prediction. What $100 are we talking about? A project that has 26 billion in capitalization is suddenly going to grow 200 times to be worth $100. The days of naive hamsters waiting for Ripple at $10 are over in 2018. But no, there are still dreamers who are predicting something completely detached from reality Smiley

On this forum, this prediction ranks second in my ranking of fabulous predictions. The first place is held firmly by the forecast SHIB for $1 Wink
1164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to draw the attention of the market if you're a good project?? on: June 06, 2023, 01:43:51 PM
The project will never get the attention it deserves, and therefore the liquidity, if we talk only about its usefulness. Most investors are not interested in it. How many really useful projects are on the verge of extinction and not in proper demand due to lack of liquidity? Thousands. Why are low-value shitcoins like SHIB or PEPE in the same ranking with projects like Matic and Arbitrum? It's all about investment and marketing.
Well for some projects that have amazing utility it kinda works I guess. Like example, launchpad tokens or dex. Isnt it? Like pancakeswap, uniswap. They have a very useful product. Well people followed, no need to check their liquidity before. You are rifht that marketing is important, I agree with that. Ive even suggested a marketing at the end of my post. Anyone kinda doing that now, as long where are trail for more money. But its always good to have a legit bags, that will not rugged after.

Projects that place their tokens on various dubious lanchpads, especially through IFOs on pancakeswap should be avoided and stay away from them. such tokens die as soon as they are listed on some dubious exchange, or on DEX pancakeswap. There are no projects with unique utility on the pancakeswap exchange. Except for those projects that are not only listed on pancakeswap, but they are very few.
1165  Local / Альтернативные криптовалюты / Re: TRON - децентрализованный интернет on: June 06, 2023, 01:17:20 PM

1166  Other / Archival / Re: [PORTFOLIO] Altcoins vs. Bitcoin on: June 06, 2023, 12:52:42 PM
That's an impressive list, need to spend some time to study and understand how and what works here. On a cursory glance, I noticed that you are averaging altcoins that were purchased earlier in 2021. I noticed that one altcoin you ignored and did not average, choosing to continue to sit at a large loss compared to the purchase price. I'm talking about Kusama now. Why didn't you average it, because now it's quite an attractive price, which is much lower than the one at which you bought this asset?

Good point. Indeed, I forgot to write about it in the methodology. The fact is that I did not plan to invest in Kusama in the long term at all, but bought only to participate in parachains that were relevant in 2021 and there was a lot of hype around. The hype has passed and parachains has completely died, and is unlikely to be revived. I could not sell these tokens after the end of the hype due to the fact that when participating in parachains, they were blocked for 48 weeks. After unlocking, the price dropped very much and I did not fix the losses. I'll wait a few more years, maybe I'll be able to at least break even. Kusama was disappointing to say the least. It is a pity for those who bought for $600, they run the risk of forever remaining under water. Embarrassed

There were also parachains on Polkadot, as far as I know, and the conditions there were a bit worse than on Kusama. Polkadot I also see in your portfolio and judging by the fact that you have made several purchases, you have more confidence in this asset?
1167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tron could be next doge or ada? on: June 06, 2023, 12:05:43 PM
I disagree. Just because someone creates a token in the BSC blockchain does not mean they now have access to a token listing on Binance. These are 2 unrelated things. Imagine if that's how it worked. Binance would have long ago turned into a pancakeswap-level exchange with a flood of garbage from low-value projects. In my opinion, the choice of BSC for coin creators is due to the fact that the network is widespread and this chain is extremely popular in the cryptocommunity, and the commissions there are lower than in ETH.

Yeah. No prominent exchange wants to have a boatload of "shitcoins" on its platform. It would do more harm than good to its reputation. Binance will only select coins and/or tokens from BSC that are worth it. Usually those that will give the exchange lots of profit in the long run. For all of the "shitcoins", there's a DEX where you can trade them as you wish.

Binance has a venture capital arm, Binance Labs, through which they invest in various new projects. Surprisingly, not all tokens that receive investments from this division are listed on the Binance exchange. It would seem to be the easiest way for them to profit from their investments, but Binance does not always trade the coins whose investors they are.
1168  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: June 06, 2023, 10:52:01 AM
For the most part yes, altcoins are invested in by x's hunters. During the bull run there are really a lot of new projects that show crazy returns, which can sometimes reach x500-x700 in just a few months. Those who have monitored meta universes in 2021 will understand. Holding most altcoins for a long time is unprofitable, because many altcoins do not live longer than 3 years, they are quickly replaced by new altcoins, and so on in a circle.
We haven't seen a crazy increase of altcoins in the last two years after the IEO period ended, maybe only the altcoins from launchpad binance have high potential even though it only increased for a few weeks and eventually the altcoins will drop dramatically. I have ignored the hype on the new altcoins and am currently focusing on the top altcoins as the impact of a bear market will give a heavily discounted price of any top altcoin price.

On Binance, almost all IEOs are showing impressive growth. The problem is that participation in such IEOs is very expensive for an ordinary investor. You need to stake a lot of BNB to get a decent allocation. More often than not, you get a few dollars. The top altcoins are barely growing right now. Of the top cryptocurrencies bitcoin and ETH showed good growth this year, the rest of the top altcoins are not very happy. But PoW-altcoins gave good growth, much more profit than all these popular altcoins.
1169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign? on: June 06, 2023, 09:28:57 AM
We're planning a series of marketing activities, and we want your input on bounty campaigns and signature campaigns. Which one gets your heart racing? Which of these two campaigns do you think will work like magic for FireDAO within the Bitcointalk community and beyond? We trust your expertise, and we want our marketing efforts to align with your preferences and expectations.

If you want to maximize the advertising of your project, then Bounty is the best, because the coverage of the audience will be much higher, due to the involvement of social networks of participants, in which they will perform tasks.

If we're talking about users, of course, it's better to use signature campaign, because the payment for posting in such a campaign is higher than in Bounty, where participants are paid with tokens of dubious value.
1170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What happens to altcoins ? on: June 06, 2023, 08:49:17 AM
The fate of altcoins largely depends on their ability to solve real-world problems, attract user interest, and adapt to changing market conditions. As the cryptocurrency ecosystem continues to evolve, altcoins will continue to face challenges and opportunities, shaping their individual paths in the ever-changing landscape of digital currencies.

No, the fate of altcoins, first of all, depends on whether this altcoin will be found vulnerable or not. If not, it will live, if found, it will die, no matter how top-notch the altcoin is. Also, a lot of the fate of altcoins depends on market makers and speculators. If it is interesting to attract liquidity, this altcoin will show us up and down, but if the big players want to leave this project, more than likely, this altcoin will die or will show its market movement deep at the bottom and never show impressive growth again.
1171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In-chain Games on Ethereum: Are They Still Relevant in 2023? on: June 06, 2023, 08:02:21 AM
Why not focus on other blockchains that are more user-friendly? There is no desire to pay those high fees on the ETH network. I'm not a programmer, but why not try Polygon, for example. Pretty common blockchain and the commissions are much lower there. For a game where there will be many small transactions, it's not the most suitable blockchain, I think, especially when there will be a hype around cryptocurrencies, as it was with the recent PEPE.
1172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we just invest in any altcoin? on: June 05, 2023, 07:35:35 PM
Now my question is, do we just invest an altcoin to take advantage of the opportunity to make some x in return?
Because I know altcoin rarely survive the dip maybe after bull run.

1174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to draw the attention of the market if you're a good project?? on: June 05, 2023, 06:18:51 PM
Build a good platform with an amazing use case. Even though your project doesnt have much traction now as long as its very useful or helpful to some retailers or inevstors then youll definitely draw attention. Most projects become hit and famous due to their amazing platform. Prove it that yours are more capable of doing much more. Dont promote it like its a shitcoin. Talk to some marketing on socials or partner with some big ventures to widen your connections. Thats how I see some project easily be recognize.

People don't care about utility, they are much more interested in how many X's a project will give their investor. A project that has great utility but no investors is doomed to fade to the bottom of the market. Hence we conclude, to attract attention to your project, you need the support of famous Influencers or investors.
1175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has Bitcoin Lost it's Fervor for Percentage Gains? on: June 05, 2023, 05:43:40 PM
You can't become a millionaire if you're measuring your wealth in dollars because Bitcoin can't get to $1 million in this bull market. If you also invest that amount in Ethereum, it can't make you a millionaire as well. The only way you can become a millionaire in this bull market is by investing in altcoins.
We have good altcoins that you can invest in and we have those you can invest just for the purpose of riding the hype like memecoins. $Pepe is the recent and trending memecoin and I feel it'll become very popular in the next bull market. You can buy it and make millions of profit but be careful.
Don't invest more than you can comfortably afford losing if the coins fails to reach the peak we're expecting due to other memecoins like Dogecoin and Shiba Inu reached those prices during their peak. Pepecoin might go in the same direction or have a different reaction from the community not believing it.

It depends on what amount and what altcoins we are talking about. Everything is relative, you can't become a millionaire with bitcoin if you have 1000$ in your account, but 1000$ is sometimes much more pleasant than the lack of it, when you invested in the wrong altcoin and it lost 99% of its value. Investing in altcoins and skillfully fixing the profit from their acquisition is a professionalism and most market players have no idea what altcoins they buy, what to do with them and when to sell them. So at a distance it turns out that it is bitcoin investing that will make you a millionaire much faster even with $1000 than some altcoins that only take your money away.
1176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICP - Good investment? on: June 05, 2023, 05:30:03 PM
ICP reached an all time high of almost £450 in May 2021 but is currently trading at £5.

I understand we are in a bear market but this is a massive drop and wondering if it is worth an investment.

I am not sure if it will get back anywhere near its all time high again but if it was to only get back to £100 that is a 20x from current price.

Is anyone invested or know anything about ICP and if its worth it?

The $460 was an artificial price, which is why it collapsed so quickly. This altcoin has fallen a lot in the last 2 years and is now a good buy, relative to its past prices. I think if you buy it now, you can get a good profit in a few years. DYOR. The only thing that confuses me is the endless issue, and unless there are some deflationary mechanisms there, inflation could drop the price of this asset even more.
1177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: June 05, 2023, 05:12:29 PM
altcoins are always accustomed to following the movements of bitcoin, if bitcoin improves it is certain that altcoins will also improve but not vice versa. indeed, from the beginning of the year there was an increase from bitcoin but it was not seen and it is certain that it will improve soon, it could be that the increase was just a mere surprise. but I agree that this is the right time to buy and hold, because the halving period is only waiting for the next few months and is usually accompanied by movements for improvement. it is very appropriate to still want to hold old coins which are indeed very potential compared to new coins that have not been tested for the future.

I don't agree that it can't be the other way around. Such cases occur when there is a liquidity spillover from bitcoin to altcoins. Altcoins go up and bitcoin goes down. This often happens after bitcoin rises a lot, after which it goes into a correction, the price drops precipitously, and altcoins start to rise strongly all of a sudden. Not the whole industry, but some part of it definitely performs such maneuvers, for example, ETH very often gets detached from the correlation with bitcoin and can grow great while bitcoin shows price decrease.
1178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income (through reflections) @TrumpCoinDTC on: June 05, 2023, 04:51:01 PM
Another shitcoin on the BNB blockchain that trades on pancake? What is its great potential? I hope nobody needs to explain that you will not get rich with such coins, and the liquidity drop will happen very quickly and you will be left with a pile of garbage instead of tokens. Such shitcoins are published in the BNB network every day, but then they all die off happily. DYOR.
