1522  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: April 01, 2023, 05:32:39 PM
I think having an understanding that it should be based on marketcap and not the price is the number one thing that makes it realistic investment. There are a lot of people who focus on the price too much and price means absolutely nothing, it is not what makes something cheap or expensive. It's the marketcap, if the marketcap of something is high, then making it higher priced is hard as well.

Look at bitcoin, it has the highest marketcap and price can hardly move, it takes time, on the other hand something with a small marketcap could move easily, and the price could move easily as well, because one whale could make it go up or down very easily all by themselves since the marketcap is low.

Price, like capitalization, are too manipulative and artificial metrics if we are talking about analysis for meaningful investing. We need to take a much more comprehensive approach here than these, in many cases, fake values. The FDV value, supply distribution, demand, volumes, etc. are also important here. I would not recommend anyone to consider only one price and capitalization size, especially when it comes to new altcoins.
1523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are about to enter altcoin season, what do you think? on: April 01, 2023, 04:17:59 PM
I think the real altcoin season, like the real bitcoin season, will happen only after the bitcoin halving. NOT before. Right now prices are recovering from a prolonged decline and people see these price recoveries as the beginning of something big and grand. This is the market, and it can present unexpected pitfalls for such optimists. Think back to 2019, think back to what happened between July 2019 and March 2020, and before that, people thought the bull season was finally here, too.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: April 01, 2023, 04:14:25 PM
Converting half of your altcoins to bitcoin is the best thing you can do to be honest. The risk is less when investing in bitcoin. I am guessing you are waiting because your altcoins are already down by 20%? I would say, don't wait for the price to go back up. When  your altcoins recover from the 20% loss, chances are the price of bitcoin will be much higher. Also there is na chance that your altcoins might go down even more while bitcoin continues to go up. Also guessing the exact timing of the next altcoin season can be a bit tricky since crypto markets are known for their unpredictability and if anyone says they know the exact "dates", then they are lying.

It depends on which altcoins. Major altcoins and altcoins with good liquidity will grow as bitcoin grows. For example, how often do you see a situation where bitcoin goes up and altcoins like Litecoin or Ethereum go down hard? They fall a lot when bitcoin itself is falling, but most of the time the market is always growing in unison, some asset is growing a little bit more and some asset is growing a little bit less. Also many altcoins grow much faster than bitcoin itself.
1525  Other / Meta / Re: [SCRIPT] New Captcha CRACKER by TryNinja The H4CK3R1337 8) on: April 01, 2023, 03:52:51 PM
Ha ha ha. It works! Wink

Nice, but to risky for me to  install, anyway good work!

Do you really think that such a respected user as TryNinja will slip users some kind of virus in the script? I don't think he would stoop to that. I doubt it very much. But, of course, it is your right to use this script or not.
1526  Other / Meta / Re: whats going on BTT? on: April 01, 2023, 09:56:18 AM
You are not a merit source, because for merit sources, the merit page displays a completely different text. So, don't feel bad, you are not a merit source Smiley And you won't have to look for places to give out merits. I don't think theymos will assign a person a merit source without consent.

1527  Other / Meta / Re: [NEW] Bitcointalk Captcha Solving course: DEFEAT FLAPPY BIRD on: April 01, 2023, 08:17:32 AM
Done …..at last  Smiley

No need to relax Wink More and more coins will need to be collected each time.

I have tried this to solve this Captcha countless times, but the birds have been flying around, and if I tap my screen, it will just crash. This captcha is more difficult, and I don't think anyone has passed it because everyone is still getting the red note.

I don't know about others, but I've been through this captcha many times before. It's complicated by the fact that you have to collect more coins each time. The first time I had two coins, the next time I had eleven(1). Although, in order to post this post, I needed to collect eight coins. It turns out that the number of coins is random each time.

May be the HTML parser behaves differently in Telegram for iphone and Android.

The HTML parser does not only behave this way in Telegram on Iphone or Android. This parser behaves exactly the same way in Telegram on a desktop computer and on a laptop. In other words, everywhere. This message appears the same on any version of Telegram. I don't know about anyone else, but it's the same for me on any device.

Yeah, great airdrop Smiley You have to pay almost two hundred million(!) dollars to get a thousand of your tokens in your Airdrop. It's funny. Is that the smartest thing you could think of? Either your token is just a common scam, or there is a mistake in your contract.

1532  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between crypto and cryptocurrency on: March 29, 2023, 05:58:38 PM
Let me show you a translation from Russian that explains the meaning of "crypto". I think the word would have the same meaning in English.

Crypto... (Gr. kryptos secret, hidden) is not a prefix, but rather the first compound part of the compound words, which corresponds in meaning to the base "secret, hidden" in such words as cryptography, cryptogram, cryptophytes, cryptomeria, cryptograms, cryptodepression, cryptocurrency (bitcoins), etc.

This part of the word refers to some hidden state of what is designated in the second part of the word. For example: cryptogram (Greek from kryptos secret and gramma record) - secret writing, which can be an inscription or a document, a letter, a note, written by conventional signs or letters(cipher), known only to the initiated. Cryptogams (kryptos secret and gamos marriage) are secretly married plants that have no flowers, i.e. ferns, horsetails, mosses, lichens, fungi, algae, etc. The word "cryptodepression" is interesting, where "crypto..." refers to one of the meanings of the word "depression" (geol.) - a (hidden) depression on the earth, the bottom of which is below sea level, filled with water whose level is above sea level (for example, lakes Baikal, Onega, Ladoga, etc.).

In conclusion, it should be noted that "crypto" is always spelled together with the next part of the word and is not stressed.

That is, based on this explanation, the word "crypto" cannot be used to mean "cryptocurrency," as it has a much larger meaning and can be applied with many words. No, of course it can be used by some people, but it would be a misuse of that part of the word.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it safe to keep your money in bank? on: March 28, 2023, 03:01:54 PM
There are no safe places to keep money. In fact, the money isnt supposed to be kept anywhere. They should always work. They should always be in circulation.

I disagree. There has to be a safety cushion and free money that can be used for sudden problems or to secure those current working schemes where your funds are involved. This is the reason why many people can't take the chance to buy cheaper coins when the market suddenly crashes, because they don't have free money available, they are all involved in some projects. This way good earning opportunities are missed. Free money should always be present.
1534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you say about this investment plan on: March 28, 2023, 02:20:43 PM
Even if the project does not begin as a scam it can easily turn into one, because even if they were to back their stable coin with fiat the ratio they promised their investors which will be maintained can always be altered over the life of the project, this means that people are taking a huge risk by investing in those projects, and what is worse is that those coins offer a sense of security to investors and they may not realize that instead they are taking the biggest risk on their short careers.

But you don't take into account how many such projects have actually lost their investors money. Which major stablecoins have collapsed recently and lost their tie-up completely? UST? Which others? There haven't been any more such high-profile failures. Yes, stablecoins can instill a false sense of stability and bankrupt their customer, but how many such cases have there been among the big stablecoins? Few. That's why stablecoins are still a less risky investment because they go bankrupt very rarely.
1535  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crew3XYZ airdrop platform on: March 28, 2023, 01:39:54 PM
I am trying to get some SUI airdrop, since this project is from the mysten lab, I believe this project will be big, I have a friend that told me to start using crew3.xyz to participate and get some point to be able to get free SUI token but I am not sure how good and safe this platform is, has anyone use this platform before? Are they paying?

They don't pay anything, because this platform doesn't hold any tokens, it just provides an opportunity to be active in certain projects by connecting your social networks and your wallet, via web3. SUI promises to be very generous, but if you complete all the tasks in crew3, it doesn't mean you get paid anything. In addition to crew3, SUI also has various activities, including signing up for various services, participating in testnetworks, and more.
1536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Zksync Era Mainnet launch on: March 28, 2023, 01:07:01 PM
Yes, they recently launched their main network and the community started talking about interacting with their bridge to increase the chances of getting an airdrop. Eventually, those same users broke that bridge because of an influx of transactions and it didn't work for a while. Now everything seems to be back to normal, so if someone hasn't done some swaps in their meinnet yet, you better do it.
1537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investment involves being realistic, doesn't it ? on: March 28, 2023, 12:55:54 PM
The truth is that the more often you buy/sell, the less profit you make in the end. It has long been a well-known fact that speculators will never make as much profit as long-term holders can, so the more often you enter the market, the more risk you expose yourself to. The greater the risk, the more likely you are to make a mistake and lose money. In altcoins, making a mistake is easy, which is why many short-term strategies almost always end up in the negative yield zone.
1538  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When is the next altcoin season? on: March 28, 2023, 12:35:59 PM
The real altcoin season will not happen before 2024-2025. I don't think that if altcoins recovered to their previous prices or even gave x2-x5 profit, it can be called a full-fledged altcoin season. A full-fledged altcoin season was, for example, in 2021, when almost all altcoins that entered the market made huge profits. It is worth waiting for such period, and all these small trends are just tiny earnings. Better to hold on to altcoins until the next global bull run, the market is recovering now.
1539  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 28, 2023, 12:22:36 PM
It is necessary to know how many coins early investors have and the timing of their unlock, as this can significantly affect the price of the coin. There is even such a trading strategy when you sell coins before unlocking investors' coins, and buy after unlocking when the Circulating Supply increases, which leads to a decrease in the price of the coin.

It all depends on how long the venture investors tokens will be blocked. For example, if tokens are blocked for 3 years, there is no point in buying after unblocking the venture investors tokens, because by that time the price will on the contrary increase, so investors can sell their coins in the overheated market. After their total sell-offs it may happen that everyone will forget about the coin and it will be extremely risky to buy after all the major investors have fixed their profits.
