Coming up next. The USA is a big favorite over Germany. An upset is not out of the table but I do hope we'll see an exciting game.

This is an interesting match up, but in their last game, I saw some problems from Germany, so I think they are not going to beat the USA. It will be USA vs. Serbia in the Finals, and Serbia will upset the USA to take the win. They have the consistency and great teamwork, so although Canada is full of NBA talents, they aren't strong enough to disrupt the great chemistry of Serbia.
602  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - when to sell? on: September 07, 2023, 09:50:20 PM
nor xrp win or lose i would expecting some quite rise either star bullrun if win, or exit scam before the case rulling
some people said later this year maybe end of this year, or q1 2024. its win2 situation for holder, if you seeing 2/3x price gain later, better to unload all of your stash
They did already win, and that lead for the value of XRP to rise but lately I heard the coin was dumping again. I guess that is because of the left and right negative news about the crypto. Once the market recovered from it, I know XRP can shine again and it may now break the value that it haven't achieved in the past because SEC poisoned them.

Some says XRP is a bad coin and some says it was a scam but I don't believe on it. I'm not a full supporter of this coin but I only say what I think is right. So, even if they lose the case against SEC last time, the down fall in their price is not what you call an exit scam but it's only a normal downfall as many HODLers are giving up already on them. If there is an event that can happen later this year or on Q1 2024, that will only be the bull run, and XRP can also benefit with it.
No matter what happens, XRP never rises bullish nor does it dump badly. Ever since, I haven't witnessed such bullish prices in XRP and yes, even after winning the case, still nothing happens. It means that people are not really interested in buying XRP and hoping for a profit because this project isn't really having that. Of course, as an investor, I have to choose a project that is profitable, not just because it is on the top listed coins in the market. Because no matter how many years we hold XRP, nothing happens and we are just wasting our time.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is actually a Bitcoin investor on: September 07, 2023, 09:32:49 PM
You have bitcoin? Then you're a bitcoin investor. You don't have it, then you're not a bitcoin investor. That's simple as that, as long as you have it on your wallet and you have spent money for buying then you are in the category of being a bitcoin investor. There's also this instance that you're still a bitcoin investor but you haven't spent any penny on it. How? When someone gives it to you and you hold now full custody on it then that's still considered that you're a bitcoin investor if you have kept it and have no plans yet of selling it. There's no need to make things very confusing so if it's no longer in your posession and you sent your bitcoin as a payment, you don't have it anymore. Therefore, you're no longer an investor of it but you used to be.
Probably buying bitcoin is a sign that you wan to invest on it, even if others just want to buy it because it’s cheap but have no real intention to sell it in the future but only spend it for good when it’s value has skyrocket. However, as for my personal perception, a bitcoin investor is that one that buys and keeps his bitcoin in his wallet and just sell it when the price doubles or triples its starting price. That way, if he intend to sell for profits, then he’s actually a real investor.
As long as that person owns Bitcoin at any amount, he is already an investor. But real investors have a long-term plan and it is different from traders who just buy today and then sell tomorrow. Investors are also good at holding, they have patience, and most of all, they are very certain about their plan unlike those who claim themselves as an investor but later on, when the market is in correction they easily gives up.

For the coaching job, i think coach Chot Reyes is now out of Gilas as Tim Cone was named as the head coach for the Asian Games stint, that's according to Spin.ph but we don't know yet if coach Tim officially accepted the offer since no statement yet coming form him as of this writing.

At least we will see changes on the set plays when coach Tim will take over and hope no more bashing on the coaching staff this time around hehe.

Quote
Tim Cone named Gilas coach for daunting Asian Games mission
Yes!
I also saw that news that Chot is out of the Gilas and he really did meant what he said to judge him during the world cup. At least he's now out of it and let the other coach handle everything for the Asian games. I remember that Tim Cone said that if Chot is out, he's also out.
But not this time, and let's see if he's going to be a good fit to the Gilas on this run. Well, Tab, knowing that he's in the rumor of going out of the country and has been hired by the Indonesian team is just sad. (https://newsko.com.ph/2023/09/06/tab-baldwin-inintrigang-pipiratahin-ng-indonesia/)

With regards to coach Tab Baldwin, I don't know if he was officially hired by Indonesia but reports had it that he still has three years contract with the Ateneo Blue Eagles and most likely he is the top choice to lead Gilas once again. If I were him, I would choose Gilas rather than the Indonesian team that has not yet qualified for the FIBA World Cup, and doing so will take a huge effort and a ton of money hiring players to be naturalized, just my two cents.

I don't think he would choose Indonesia if he were offered the opportunity to lead the Gilas Pilipinas in international competitions. We know that the fans want him to coach the team. However, with the recent development that Tim Cone was named as the new head coach, I think this excites the fans, especially since the majority of basketball fans are Ginebra fans. They believe that Coach Tim Cone will help the national team improve.

Yes, it was hard to see Luka got ejected, and as much as he tried to really lead his team, Canada has a lot of NBA players so they are really that good and they know how to disrupt Luka and it become a mind game between him and Dillon.

And we all know how Dillon works, he will try to get into your skin. Luka should have control his emotions though and as least be in the front whether win or lose. So with this win, the finals might look like what we have anticipated, Canada vs US.

Luka didn't have a problem with Canada's defense against him; his problem was that the referees' calls were not in their favor, or seemed biased. That really frustrated him. Even in the first half, he was already complaining. He was just lucky that his shots were sinking in; I believe he was 2/4 from the 3-point area in the first half. However, he really struggled big time in the second half. Luka was their best player, and when he got frustrated, everything seemed to fall against them.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I found Facebook trading group they work with signals wolf of wstreet on: September 06, 2023, 09:47:55 PM
This what i found over 400 members i'll join becouse i want to trade together like team they are ispired by wall Street ...i like to slogan "u got to pump up rookie numbers "  Nice idea

Their Facebook link so far looking decent group

Link: https://m.facebook.com/groups/3093147371003425/

Anyone can claim that they are working on signals of wolf of wall street but the question stands there is are they reliable group? Do they have credentials for what claims they post? Since they could just copy someones predictions and post it on their group. Be careful if they ask some payments for membership since for that this is a early red flag for that group since most of scammers ask for fees before you can join on their group.
I could say that group and these members are paid after registration. The lack of credibility seems to be a huge problem in signal groups, most of them are scammers. That is why I don't trust any of them even though if it consists of 1,000 members because it was not the numbers that would tell us that they are legit and trusted but what we need is their output. Yes, they will claim that their signals are working but after having some payments, they slowly get no replies or become inactive.
607  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Young people should take more advantage of the crypto space. on: September 06, 2023, 09:24:22 PM
Young people's enthusiasm for crypto currency is indeed very high, young people have broader insight on the internet, the many advertisements or promotions on various social media are able to invite young people to get involved in the industry.
As Op said, before entering this industry you should first understand the basic concept, Cryptocurrency is widely used as an investment asset that can provide benefits for anyone, but all risks must be borne by each user because no one guarantees its safety
I hope they will because it doesn't mean they are exposed to the internet and gadgets that would lead us to think that they will become interested in Bitcoin because many still ignore it. However, those young people who got will easily for them to understand as they are already in the internet era where information can easily be searched. Yes, they are capable enough compared to old people but still, it depends on their interests and wants as some of them are not also risk takers.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 06, 2023, 12:33:19 PM
The Lakers have signed forward Christian Wood to a 2 year deal. Christian had a decent year last year averaging 16 & 7. I’m not sure how he’ll fit into the lineup but maybe he’s a little extra insurance in case something happens to Anthony Davis. Wood did dominate the Lakers in the Christmas game last year…
2-year veteran minimum contract. This is bad for him. He is just 27 years old with lots of talent, I don't why he accepted that low of a salary.
He will only make $2.7 this season and $3M next with a player option included. This is a steal for the LA Lakers.

Sure, this will be a good thing for the Lakers as it will provide a backup for Anthony Davis and they say this is a stepping stone for Christian Wood to establish himself again. I think he didn't do bad during his Dallas Mavericks stint, he was actually helpful to Luka there. The only problem is, he is being forced to be the center instead of being a Kristaps Porzingis type of forward.
Anyway, I will stop ranting about his salary, for me, he deserves more than that. Let's just see what he will provide for the Lakers but I bet they will make him a perimeter shooter instead of a center. Let AD do the bulldozing of the rim.

I agree with you; I think this is a wrong decision for him. He has the ability to play both inside and outside, so perhaps he's just searching for a team that could be the right fit for him. However, accepting such a small salary, I believe he may be wasting his time. I'm not sure if it's his agent's capability or if he's rushing his decision, but this is quite shocking. He could potentially earn more if he doesn't rush into his choices.

We (Germany) didn't win this game today, Latvia lost it.

They showed some goos spirit and fight and had the final shot to win it, and they missed.
Funny thing is, at the break after 3 quarters I told my wife " wait for it, 5 seconds before the end we will lead by 2 points and Latvia will hit the winning 3".

Well, 5 seconds before the ende we actually lead by 2 and Latvia is shooting a 3. How did I just know??

Anyway, we didn't deserve to win. The coaching was just horrible. How can you let Dennis Schröder play 30 minutes ( the most of all players ) while he is shooting 4/26 (3 of them layups). I mean you can miss shots, but not like this.
We were up 6 or 7 with 2:25 to go, and Schröder shoots a 3 with 14 seconds left on the shot clock. What kind of decision making is this please? And after the rebound and attack of Latvia Schröder gets a technical foul for flopping, 1 more point for Latvia.

As a coach you HAVE TO take him out. Bench him the whole 4th quarter. This was just terrible. With a similar performance on Friday we will lose by 40 against the USA.

Germany had some bad executions as they almost allowed Latvia to come back and beat them. They were in control with a double-digit lead, but they allowed a barrage of three-point shooting from their opponent, resulting in a comeback.

Speaking of Schröder, he may have had a bad game, but in most of the games they've won, I believe he was the real MVP. So, that's okay, mate. I know the coaching staff will learn from that. What's important is they still got the win. Just forget and improve; that's the best thing to do.

Italy ML @11.0 vs US

Taking my chances here though i like the US to win but their lack of experience might cost this game for them tonight.

I like your call. I believe the USA is overrated, and Italy has been winning games since they visited Pacman. Maybe they got inspired by Pacman, LOL. Anyway, I still love the pick; it's like 'go big or go home.' Good luck; I'm joining you!

Good luck, guys! The game has started, and it seems like it's a close one, so there's a chance, hehe. The USA likes to play small ball; maybe Italy has a good strategy to counter their style. The fact that the USA has lost once already indicates they have a weakness that any team could exploit. Italy has also lost once, but we've seen how good they are when they move the ball well, so it could be a 50-50 game.

End of the first quarter and the US is leading by 10 points, 3's were not there for the Italians due to US' good defense.

If the Italians could not adjust to the defense of the US then i think this is money in the bag for the Americans.

This is far from over. When a team is a three-point shooting team, they can easily come back once they find their rhythm. What they need now is the confidence, as they cannot be overwhelmed by the very popular Team USA. They are here to compete and secure a win to move up to the semi-finals. If USA takes a double-digit lead and Italy can't stop the bleeding, I'm afraid we won't see a good second half. So, the second quarter is very important, and Italy has to mount a comeback.

Don't think bad about it as it was expected to come after halving. But if you are thinking about this year, you will only be disappointed.
But I have to encourage of not to think about it because the more it appears in your mind, the more you'll lose your focus and make decisions badly. The market pumps like before but if you are too impatient, I'm not going to wonder why you will still miss it. The market is full of tests for us - attitudes, behavior, trust, and most of all, it tests us on how to see positivity while the market is in crisis.
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hope is all I have left on: September 04, 2023, 11:24:05 AM
For people like us who still struggles to invest money on Bitcoin I want to know if one day, 1 sat can ever cost as much as 1 cent? Is this possible? Sorry I can't afford to dollar cost into Bitcoin like everyone else, it's very hard for me, all I need is hope.

I can only afford to invest into Bitcoin once in two month and that's not every with big money, you should understand my situation, I am too shamed to call a number.

Is there any hope for small Bitcoin buyers like myself? Can 1Sat ever be 1 Cent one day?
It may come when Bitcoin is dying. I feel your struggles and the wants to invest in Bitcoin but I know you can do it if you are really determined to do so. Buying a few sats twice a month is not bad actually, you can have more if you are just consistent with what you have started. Besides, it was not necessary to own 1BTC at least having some is quite good enough. Don't rush as you can still find ways to grow your Bitcoin. The only you need to do is to keep what you did now and gradually increase if possible. You need extra sources of income in order to reach your goal.
614  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: September 01, 2023, 01:03:04 PM
I would like to see Jerwin becoming champion again but I actually voted for Takuma by decision. Jerwin is going to get schooled if he is not bringing something new to his technique.

He faced two losses against the same opponent, Fernando Daniel Martinez. Given that Takumi's upcoming opponent might have a different fighting style, there might not be a pressing need for him to change his own style. Both camps will undoubtedly study their opponent and develop a strategy they believe will work best.

Honestly, I haven't observed anything particularly exceptional from Takumi, and despite Jerwin facing some challenges lately, I still believe he has what it takes to be victorious in this match.
615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 01, 2023, 12:26:02 PM

But at least he find another home in Sacramento Kings and for sure as you have said, he could help Sabonis hone his skills as a center and not over commit and make that useless fouls that might cost them some games if Sabonis will fouled out or at least have a lot of fouls that the opposing team might take advantage.

That's a positive move for him; they needed a defensive big man, and he makes an excellent backup center for Sabonis. While Javale might not pose a significant offensive threat, he's valuable defensively due to his length and athleticism. I'm genuinely pleased for him; he's not losing his job, even if the contract he's receiving now isn't as substantial as what he received in the past. Moreover, I believe he's a team player, having played for various teams during his career.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: can Bitcoin provide food for our table on: September 01, 2023, 09:20:23 AM
Yes, Bitcoin can provide so many things to you if you can embrace the knowledge of Bitcoin and invest wisely, because it has helped many people to eliminated poverty from their family and make their businesses more function than those who don't know Bitcoin in the environment. If you acquire the knowledge of Bitcoin, I don't think it will just only provide food on your table but it will increase you financially in all level when you buy Bitcoin when the price is low in the market which is the favourable time for potential investors to buy and hold for bright future.  But don't forget that Bitcoin investment is different from other investments, so don't invest what you can't afford to lose.
The reason why many people have tried investing in Bitcoin is because they're thinking about earning huge amounts which is deniable not. But, we don't have to overthink, we know also that many people have lost their money from doing this which is why don't make yourselves confident enough, who knows?

However, If we can really do the right things, earning is not impossible but we also have to work hard. Yes, it never just gives us food on the table but this will also change our financial capabilities.
617  Economy / Speculation / Re: How passionate are you buying Bitcoin now? on: August 31, 2023, 09:47:40 PM
I’ve always been passionate about buying bitcoin ever since I got into it in 2015. I don’t think you can ever have enough because inflation & money printing has no end. For that reason I think you should always buy bitcoin when you can afford to. Keep creating new stacking goals & cross them off as you hit them. Bitcoin is the only way to guarantee protecting your purchasing power.
It is very important to stick to the limitations and spend only the amount that we can afford. Many people have thought about taking a loan just for the sake of having capital for investment which I really think is not a good idea and not passionate anymore. They should know the risk that awaits them because we can't just leave ignorance of what we are doing as this will be the reason why we end up losing instead of earning.
I'll keep this strategy since before - buy low and apply DCA, it was effective.
618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: My experience as a beginner trader on: August 31, 2023, 09:27:31 PM
There are no experience mate Grin you lose  as a beginner to become a stronger trader  Smiley so for everyone out there thinking of QUITTING QUITTING is not the option here just keep learning  till you  can say "Gone are those days " Grin
Losing can't be avoided while we are doing this (trading). In fact, even those who have in this field for many years are still also facing such things but not just like newbies who are really losing huge amounts. But not a surprise for me because I know that we can't beat the volatility of the market making us sometimes fail to figure out what will happen next. However, all the mistakes and losses that we've got seem to be our tool to grow as well but if we then think about easy at the very beginning, it was difficult for us.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: August 31, 2023, 11:00:42 AM
Anyway, we will see Gilas' next action in the upcoming Asian Games next month. After that, the PBA will now commence it's season.

The fight is not over yet; Gilas still has two games left tonight, one against South Sudan and the next game against China. I'm optimistic that they will emerge victorious in these matchups due to their talent and determination to secure wins on their home court. I'm actually quite surprised why the Philippines is labeled as an underdog against South Sudan, especially considering South Sudan's significant loss against Serbia. Perhaps this assessment is influenced by South Sudan's win against China?

Nevertheless, my bet remains on the Philippines.

It's time to gauge whether the Philippines truly possesses the fighting spirit needed to secure victory. With three consecutive losses behind them, I'm confident they've gleaned valuable lessons from those defeats and are poised to perform better tonight.

I appreciate their underdog status; despite that, they have the advantage of playing on their home court with the crowd's strong support. Investing our support in them, regardless of the outcome, doesn't seem like a waste of money. While I initially thought the fun was over, fortunately, two more games remain to be played, and we shouldn't miss the opportunity to witness them.

Good luck guys!
620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Timing and Trading on: August 30, 2023, 09:36:49 PM
Well, time really matters in trading, and if you are a scalper, we are very keen on every price movement. But this will depend also on the coin that we choose and this will really work if you are using a highly volatile coin that is why we also have to assess the trend of that particular coin before buying.

However, OP seems right that not do all the time we are a scalper as we also rely on the market movement, and based on my experience, we need sometimes to adjust our time frame from 1 minute to a longer time frame especially when sudden price drops happen. And sometimes it happens from a trader, it becomes a short-time holder.
