601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Satoshi Nakamoto remove the 21 million BTC limit? on: January 20, 2024, 06:19:08 PM
It's technically possible if a consensus can be reached, but only one problem with this removal of the 21 million limit  is that Bitcoin isn't run by one man as it needs other stake holders to buy in into this idea of a fork which is likely to have a negative impact on price as this could take its value lower...
And Satoshi being a smart lad I don't think this change would benefit anyone especially that he understands the dynamics of supply and demand on price, Bitcoin is better won't any change to its total allocation...

Where is everyone else Huh All you have to do is run a node and get it synced - no strings attached.

If this is still open Will setup my system later today and join the "Run A Bitcoin Node challenge" Smiley

Though from the looks of this looks like that 1000merit barrier sent users watching from the fence, but challenge accepted.

Bitcoin core downloaded

and now waiting for the pre sync to be done and should see some progress...25 weeks to go  Roll Eyes

603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 20, 2024, 04:20:30 PM
Burkina Faso vs Algeria
OK, right now, we are live in the second half of the game and currently, Burkina Faso is leading with one goal, while Algeria is yet to score, though I must not do without stating that Algeria are really playing a very good game, they had the best ball possessions in the first half and did miss quite a number of goals.
Burkina Faso are so unlucky not to have collected a maximum 3 points after that early lead against an Algerian side that played so well ,but a point will prove valuable here especially that they sit top of the group while Algeria follow through in second place with 2 points from their two draws of the game...and all they need to do now is not lose their next match and they should qualify for the next round of game's.

I did not watch them play but sincerely speaking I am not just assuming, Africans are now getting much better with their style of playing from the ball being on the ground unlike before when the ball always on the air and going down to their passes which they should work more on, i love their goal scoring very perfect and beautiful.
Unfortunately the goal scoring only happens when the other team scores and then the other team gets motivated  to now get a goal of their own and force a draw....the game at this point still a work in progress!

Division 3B log is scary  to look at,,,

mathematically as things stand... double H stands a good chance of winning this division provided he wins all his 3 remaining games and goes top regardless of a win from current  group leader results  Roll Eyes

I think the winning formula should be that of joining late, maybe luck any swing in this direction lol, may the best man win as we watch the action unfold Tongue
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Asian Cup 2023 Prediction and Discussion on: January 19, 2024, 08:56:28 PM
Not a vivid follower of the Asian Cup, but I think I know the teams to put money on..as their reputation speaks for itself lol

Anyway so was it today or yesterday that Japan played their match...I was surprised at how good Iraq played against Japan who many of us would easily consider to be among the favourites, but to lose to Iraq I wonder how Germany would be feeling about that result smh..but honestly didn't not see that result going that way and credit to Iraq for a solid performance!

But as the competition goes on, my teams on my watch list are Australia, Japan, Iran and now the surprise package Iraq, just hope they don't get to disappoint because these days I think few teams are giving it their best with gambling on the horizon...players could be betting against their teams lol Roll Eyes
606  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: January 19, 2024, 03:45:28 PM
I think these days with so many gambling companies involved with sponsorship deals with sporting teams we love to watch or merely fans of... There is so much gambling content out there such as TV ads, clothing with gambling sites printed on them, billboards you name it and this has made gambling kind of an acceptable thing people can try out without anybody looking down on them...

And the fact that gambling  has proved to be an alternative source of funds if you know what you doing is drawing more people here, and this has brought people in the open and are gambling freely without keeping it a secret, unless gambling is banned in your jurisdiction then it's a valid reason to keep this a secret!!!..
607  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think gambling every day is better? on: January 19, 2024, 03:20:41 PM
There was a friend of mine who visited me a day after and he was saying gambling every day draws you more closer to winning.

I asked him how?

He said when you keep trying luck every day you stand the chance not to miss your luck of winning
Your friend has a valid argument and I can support his line of thought, but then again when it comes to gambling,I think everyone deserves some rest off such activities as they can have a negative bearing on one's mental health and social well-being...

And like they say too much of everything is bad, and it's gambling everyday that people that had a good winning pot lose it back to the house because of playing everyday (greed).

My question is do you think gambling every day is better? From his reasoning and points of narrations.
If you know how to win, then I don't see a problem with this... but if it's an issue of trying your luck then don't play everyday!!!

609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling can be a hope restorer if we go about it wisely! on: January 18, 2024, 11:31:15 PM
As a responsible gambler it gladdens my heart always whenever I hear a fellow gambler testify of how he won a bulky amount of money from be it a bet or lotto and uses that money to inject into something meaningful for himself.
I know a lot of gamblers are enjoying these small wagers win big money and of am to be honest  here, am not a fan as it's  more of the gambling and greed and win less with such an approach.

As far as I know, these days to make money you need money and with nice safe bets you can win some good money using big money and it's less stressing this way..

Snip

Lucky fellow, thought Contraband being illegal in most parts of the world can land you in jail..lucky guy indeed!!

Hope the man continues with his transport business away from any illegalities, and thanks to gambling he got his life back, what a lovely ending Wink
610  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 18, 2024, 09:35:23 PM
This competition is one of those that is proving difficult to predict and honestly, I didn't see Ghana leading twice in one game after Egypt equalized and at this point I don't think they will throw this lead now... unbelievable comeback from Ghana!!

With this result, could this be one of those games that sends Egypt packing as a loss puts one team at an advantage and Ghana is close to getting their Golden ticket to go past the group stage

Edit:

Egypt just equalized, this is a crazy game...some real drama unfolding here  Grin
611  Economy / Gambling / Re: How Crypto casino market themselves? on: January 18, 2024, 08:34:05 PM
I am curious to know who are their targeted audience and at what age group. In general gambling people target countries like thailand more but probably this is not the case with crypto. Do they target nerds or total dumbs?

Title seems to contradict what is being said here as I thought you will be asking how these guys market their products and services.l to be noticed..

Anyway, when it comes to marketing gambling  stuff ...it's usually generalized but of course this is intended for adults (18+) like any other casino to be legally accepted especially that most crypto casinos today are now  regulated.
Btw, when it comes to gambling I dont think nerd's are interested in gambling as they are likely to be playing games, coding or whatever proves to be a challenge to them.... gambling is not a nerdy activity afaik.

Quote
How efficient they are between their marketing tactics?
This is a competitive market and any patrons you get is better than non..
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Africa Football Discussion || Current Topic: AFCON 2023 on: January 18, 2024, 06:31:57 PM
So far this competition hasn't really impressed me because we have seen way too many draws just like the last edition did and it takes the fun out of the game, but for some reason as we get to the end of the first round of games we have seen more goals coming in which is a good start...

And from the teams that have played so far, I think a few have impressed,Mali was a slow starter but came out guns blazing to win comfortable, and for other teams like Morroco haven't really have had a real test but remain among the favourites, then Ivory Coast being hosts will be expected to go the extra mile, Congo DR is a team I have never thought of to be a good team but they have a solid game and should go far, but if asked who can win this tournament I think  Mali stands a good chance!

616  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cashout or wait till the end? on: January 17, 2024, 04:49:53 PM
This is the real test to see your appetite for greed!!

How does someone put in 3 thousand dollars with a payout of 1.8 Million and not cashout Huh This is no brainer am cashing out but if I had an option of partially taking out some profits from this then 50% of offered payout am taking and leaving the rest to play just to push my luck...but then again I might loss it and start to regret not having paid myself that handsome cheque...am not greedy I take what I see...like they say a bird in hand is better than two birds in the bush!
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🌍⚽Sportsbet.io AFCON 2024 prediction pool discussion thread on: January 16, 2024, 09:15:40 PM
At this stage I was expecting the so called favourites to be more serious with getting results after several upsets... and today we saw Tunisia face the game with a laissez-faire attitude which they were made to pay for with a loss at the hands of an awesome Namibian performance...

Now watching the Mali game and it's already looking like a boredraw thanks to a missed penalty that should have changed the outcome of this game...

Edit:

Is that a penalty???

Burkina Faso nil, Mauritania nil, I smell something in 2nd half.
Sixth sense I guess, and Burkina Faso after being outplayed stole the game with maximum 3 points thanks to late penalty  Cool

Missed this announcement, thanks for the buyin Smiley

Finally we getting winners in this tournament after several unforseen 1-1 draws of which I haven't caught any yet  Roll Eyes and going forward am not playing the favourite card as the draw seems to be unpopular and high rewarding, but going for the draw at this point looking like the best option going forward looking at how results have being coming...
