A reminder to most participants that you have 24 hours to complete your posts before payout! If your payout is due for September 12th, it will be sent out in exactly 24 hours, give or take 30 minutes.

Get those posts in! I'll be updating post counts in the spreadsheet in a few moments.

Out of interest I have made my 50+ posts this mth, must i wait until the 12th or can i actively seek and alternate campaign and change sig or should i wait until the 13th to do that ?
You'll have to wait until the 12th to remove your signature. You can seek out a new campaign, but I wouldn't remove the Rollin signature until you've received your payment (which should be sent out at 12:00 AM on the 12th default BTCT time, give or take 30 minutes I suspect). This is because Rollin pays a flat rate for 50 posts and a month of advertising, if you removed the signature early they wouldn't be receiving the full month of advertising.

You said you donated to the forums. Were you given a special donation address by theymos to do so? If so, you might be able to prove ownership of the account by signing a message from the address that the donation was sent from.
604  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Quickseller escrowing for himself on: September 05, 2015, 05:12:53 PM
Not sure. This could be a real trail
So, again, QS refuses to deny that he is panthers52.  Very intersesting to hear from the poster (over here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1129059.msg12336439#msg12336439) who says he has traded with "both" of the "them" and knows where "they" live.  I would imagine that any number of people who have bought or sold the lealana coins to or from QS/Panthers would have shipping evidence which could be relevant here.
I don't know if they would have address proof of Quickseller, I suspect he probably uses a PO Box like most big traders here do so he doesn't need to have things shipped to his address of residence.

So if he does use a PO box, the most info someone would have on Quickseller is the city he's in, and possibly the area he's in as well.
605  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSING] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign on: September 05, 2015, 02:27:27 PM
This was a good campaign.
Thanks guitarplinker for running it flawlessly.

That said, measuring the effectiveness of the campaign by number of clicks alone (I assume with the change in referral link, this is what happened) may not be 100% accurate. The total impressions of the signatures (number of views) would definitely be high. Plus the brand is built by the quality of the posts made in the signature campaign. These are difficult to measure.

You're welcome for running the campaign.

What you said about the advertising is true, it's not all about the clicks that matter. However, Rollin had been doing some tracking before I implemented the mandatory referral link in the signatures. We had pretty much determined that the signature campaign wasn't helping out the site a whole lot (in terms of users, amounts gambled and just clicks to the site overall) over a month ago. We used the mandatory referral link to confirm our suspicions.

But like I said before, this campaign might come back sometime in the future if the Rollin admin decides to restart the campaign again. Even if the campaign doesn't come back, it sounds like the site has some other advertising ideas that involve Bitcointalk. I don't know the specifics yet, but it sounds like there are some plans in the making right now.
606  Economy / Services / Re: [FULL] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign - NEW RULES Aug. 12th on: September 05, 2015, 01:39:39 PM
Unfortunately I have some bad news regarding this campaign. This campaign won't be continuing after all current participants have been paid out.

This campaign has been running for a good seven months now, but unfortunately the campaign hasn't been paying off as planned. I'll add this information to the original post in this thread, and I apologize for the inconvenience to all participants who will go looking for a different campaign.

Again, I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but the campaign isn't cost effective for Rollin. If you have any further questions about all of this be sure to ask me and I'll try and answer them for you.

Yes I have a question and a comment for you guitarplinker.

The question
Will you be moving to another sig campaign and running it, and if so which one because I will follow you

The comment
You should be very proud and pleased at what you have done here! you have all ways remained polite even when dealing with the clowns, payouts have been prompt and without issues..WELL DONE YOU!
Thanks for the kind words. Smiley But Patejl's answer was pretty accurate, as of now I won't be running any other campaigns, but if I'm asked to run a campaign of similar size to the Rollin one, chances are I'd probably accept an offer like that.

Its really sad that the Campaign is closing..
Will it be re-opened in Future?
Like Pips said, chances are this campaign won't resume again, but that's not 100% certain either. If the Rollin admin decides he wants to try the campaign again, then you might see it start up sometime in the future.

Could send this guy a PM: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=377413

I was looking for one a couple days ago and he said:

The only thing that sucks is shipping from the US otherwise I would be able to do this no problem.

(because I wanted it shipped to Canada). So you might be able to find one of them from him for a good price, then you'd just be looking for one more.
608  Other / Meta / Re: Seriously? Negative trust for running a ponzi scheme? on: September 04, 2015, 06:56:32 PM
Definition of a negative trust: You were scammed or you strongly believe that this person is a scammer.

If you're running a ponzi I think a negative is totally justified. You will close up shop sometime and scam people, and a warning about that is good to have. Doesn't matter if you've scammed someone already, but since you probably will be ripping people off I have no problem with the negative that Vod left.
609  Other / Meta / Re: One of the most egregious ads I've seen in this forum on: September 04, 2015, 02:50:22 AM
Looks like it was taken down. IIRC this happened once before and the user was either banned or warned for doing that, because we shouldn't have to put up with that. Especially with the fake report button as well.
610  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Raspberry Pi 2 + Case on: September 04, 2015, 01:17:03 AM
Found what I was looking for, closing this thread!
611  Economy / Services / Re: [CLOSING] Rollin.io Signature & Avatar Campaign on: September 03, 2015, 10:09:34 PM
Since the campaign will be closing soon, I figured I'd do some number crunching regarding the history of this campaign.

Some interesting numbers:
  • Over 10 BTC was paid out in total from this campaign
  • Over 4600 posts were paid for
  • Over 120 hours went into managing and running this signature campaign since it started in February (just on my end alone!)
  • When the campaign closes, it will have run for 215 days. Since at least 10 BTC was paid out total, it cost a minimum of 0.047 BTC per day to pay for this campaign.
  • Over 320 personal messages were exchanged about this campaign on Bitcointalk alone.
  • Since the campaign started in February, it has had three different people manage it for various amounts of time: devthedev, hilariousandco, and myself

Thanks for posting that, I totally forgot to mention in this thread that the Rollin campaign is closing down this month.

Actually even if I don't make anything off of it let me see if I could break even Bobby sending it to you. I will PM you if I can make it work by breaking even, you never know I might need a trusted member up north for any good deals up there .. Smiley
Sure, shoot me a PM if you figure it's worth it. In my experience shipping to the States from Canada, it often doesn't cost a whole lot more to send a package, probably $5 CAD extra on something that costs $25 CAD to ship.

618  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] LEPA 1600W PSU, or any quality 1300W+ PSU on: September 01, 2015, 12:55:43 PM
LEPA G1600 here with all cables and original box, also shipping from the east coast..
I'll send you a PM in a few minutes as well. Going to lock this thread though because I've already gotten a lot of replies.
619  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] LEPA 1600W PSU, or any quality 1300W+ PSU on: September 01, 2015, 03:33:28 AM
i have some lepa 1600w with cables.  no original boxes.  pm if you're interested.  shipping from east coast.
PM'ed you about that.
620  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] LEPA 1600W PSU, or any quality 1300W+ PSU on: September 01, 2015, 02:47:38 AM
I have a Lepa 1600W psu in near new condition complete with box and all cables.  Was holding out for powering more miners but haven't used this for 4 months.

Meech

I'm looking to purchase a LEPA 1600W PSU, or any other decent quality PSU that's capable of outputting 1300W or more. The PSU would be shipped to Canada, and my budget is $200 USD shipped. I remember seeing LEPA 1600W units sell for ~ $150 a few months ago, and ideally if someone was willing to part for a LEPA 1600W unit around that price it would be perfect. Or, if you have a server PSU set up for mining capable of over 1300W I'd probably be interested in that as well. I'm happy using a trusted escrow, but if for whatever reason you don't want to, I request that you send the unit up front, and I'll send the payment after verifying everything works as should. Let me know if you have a PSU you're willing to part with for around that price!
I have a EVGA supernova 1300 G2 (gold) that I might be willing to part with. It looks like it sells on Amazon for $190. If you are interested then you can make an offer for it.

I am not sure if it would be sufficient for the S7 or not.

I can send you pictures of the box and the actual PSU prior to me sending it out to you so we can be 100% sure we are on the same page as to what exactly I would be sending you

Thanks for the replies! Talked to both of you guys, and looks like I may have found a unit.  Cool
