621  Bitcoin / Project Development / Has anyone deleoped a BTC Ticker yet? on: May 29, 2015, 11:40:47 PM
I'd love one for my desk, something that looks like an andriod widget.

Shows current, day's high, days low, maybe trade volume, for set exchange and currency?

I've yet to see this, Can't see it being hrd, but if you made it look like
https://getaddr.bitnodes.io/hardware/

Or even added to that system as a screen saver? it would be awesome!

Anyone seen one yet?

Thanks
622  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: Looking for a 3.2 BTC loan, long-shot but only place I can req. on: May 29, 2015, 10:53:48 PM
The neg trust is a joke, honestly.
If you feel someone MAY be a scammer, than leave a neutral with a link and explanation.

Just destroying someones rep over a maybe, is a joke and abuse of the system.

Sadly some people make this their mission in life.
623  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: $100.00 (CAD) INTERAC e-Transfer need trade with BTC on: May 29, 2015, 10:42:56 PM
ETF or EMT, these can be reversed by the bank, as can client to client transfers.

You have no trader rating, your negative means nothing as the guy's who left it were simply trolling.
But you also have no positive.

Although that may work for viewing, I'd have no control of it Sad

Ah that's true. Did you try contacting the websites where you have your 2fa set up? They should have a way of recovering accounts when users loose their 2fa. As long as you have your passwords you should be good.

For future reference, it's a good idea to write down the recovery codes you get when you set up new 2fa accounts. I'm sure that's the last thing you want to hear right now but still  Grin

As I said int he orignal post, I have most of those, in a lock box at home, which I won't be able to get to for another 4-6weeks, maybe longer.

Slush is being difficult, I'm unable to reset, my 2fa, and can't access the deposit wallet. lol

627  Other / Off-topic / Help Recovering Authenticator off Android Phone on: May 14, 2015, 02:56:02 AM
So I'm away from home.
I just destroyed my phone.
The screen is toast, but I can still plug in, and access the internal data.

My biggest loss at this moment is my Google Authenticator.

As all backups for this I have are physical and at home. A Month before getting to them Sad

Can anyone help, or tell me If I can recover the authenticator from purely the data side to place on my knew phone?

I'm locked out of my Bitcoin Wallets, Mining accounts. All sorts of crap.

Appreciate the help! Thank You!

Looking to hire someone to clean up our wordpress site, make it look professional, and add bitcoin content.

About, guides, Videos, etc.

We run a Local BTM and the website really sucks, ever since our web development group we hired, screwed off and "folded" their business.

Love to be able to implement a current price rate to the website, etc.

PM me if interested, Not a large budget, not looking for anything overly Fancy.

Thanks.
629  Economy / Computer hardware / Best PRice for 4TB HDDs? on: April 20, 2015, 04:16:47 PM

Preferably already in Canada?
630  Economy / Digital goods / Does anyone Sell Media Hard Copies. Or a HDD Mail service? on: April 19, 2015, 08:22:45 PM
I lost my collection. 12TB of media... and than some, with a small fire it took out the server, my raid meant nothing Sad

And we live on a farm now, so low internet.

I'm after one of two options.
Somewhere to buy HDD's which come pre loaded.
Or a server service on a 100mbit or gbit line which I can remote and download to, than have a hdd mailed to me.

Encrypted, etc. not sure on how this works.
Honestly I'd like to find someone with a well organized 1080p media collection and just buy a backup of the entire collection.

PM me if anyone knows of such a service, I'm in Canada.

Thanks
631  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: April 15, 2015, 11:22:41 PM
@ op I have a house full of switches .  If you live in the usa I can mail one to you hook up a 50 footer to it and then hook up a 50 footer the the second switch.

router ----50 feet cat 5--- (my switch)--- 50 feet cat 5----(your switch)

I will give the switch to you just pay for postage  like 6 bucks.

Thanks in Canada.
I thought about doing that, right now, I have four online with green leds blinking rapidly,
No access over ip.
So it's got to bed the damn wire.
The switch worked before the move, but I'll pickup another.

Getting sick of these things, about time to just sell them and move on.
632  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: April 15, 2015, 02:45:38 AM
all 10/100

Doesnt seem to matter the ports but tomorrow I'll do some more testing. they light up

A 5th one popped online.
So it does seem like it's a damage to the cable, BW being throttled.
Maybe it got stretched or pinched.

direct to router
it's the exact same setup. I just took out a 50' and put in a 100' and moved them further away. so I'm thinking, MAYBE damage to the 100 foot cable?

I have a rocket hub coming form my cell phone company, as I'm on weak internet on a farm, that I will be installing above my miner's so they will have their own dedicated link.
I just hope a bunch of miner's don't each much for data Smiley
635  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: April 15, 2015, 02:09:11 AM
Well I have them on blade center psus 2800watts, two sp20 per psu.
Lots of power
60 amp circuit, plenty of power.

Same switch and ethernet cables as were inside.
I can get four online, number 4 always drags ass. and 5 and 6, no matter which psu, ethernet cable etc. the last two I power on, (doesnt matter which two) will not connect
I had access over the miner page for a short while, they never started mining.

Could a damaged ethernet cord cause this?
Allowing 4, but more than that is bogging down the damaged cable?
636  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: April 14, 2015, 09:49:14 PM
So.. I moved my Spondoolies

I boot up 6, 3 come online
3 blink yellow twice. one of the 3 eventually came online.
The other two eventually move to blinking green. than eventually rapid blink between yellow and green.

No idea what they are doing? All I can find is that two yellow means IP found?

They are on a switch, on a 100ft cat5 cable. 3 came on. 4 tops. I can't possibly imagine I'm overloading the line.

Help please?

Do you have any kind of network wire tester?  I use them on mine to check if line is bad.

I have ran a 50ft cable with no issue on bitcoin mining.  Have not tried 100ft myself but as long as wire is ok I can't think it should have a issue.

3 on the same line work fine, switching cables doesnt help,
they came online temporarily than dropped off.

And point goes to spondoolie! Nicely done.

As for these, Iw as thinking of running them outside in a small garage, i'm not so concerned voer humidity, but I am on the dust, was worried a filter would clog.

figured maybe window screen would catch enough to keep it safe and be quick and easy to clean.

It'll get warm here int he summer and be time to dial these babies way back or run AC. and the rewards not worth the AC Sad
639  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - carrier grade, data center ready mining rigs on: April 08, 2015, 01:14:11 PM
Well thatshould shut him up, hard to bitch about service and over react whent hey come back at you quickly with proof.
Sorry point goes to spondoolie for this one.

Soooo here my experience with the RMA.

First, if you don't run your machine in a perfect condition (Not like me cracking a window so the intake got fresh air), you might want to think 2 time before sending your machine back. BTW, my other machine was next to this one and it's still run rock solid. (1654gh) So I guess that was a bit of bad luck ...

So as I was using my SP20E close to a cracked windows and they found some corrosion near a capacitor. Also dust (because I didn't want to open it to void the warranty) and it's not under warranty because of the corrosion. Both ASIC 0 and 4 on each blade (which are the first one next to intake) are in bad shape.

Asking 200$ (105$ shipping and 95$ for the diagnose) for the exact same machine.

Asking 250$ per board to replace them plus the 200$ us.

Sooooo next time you run one of those close to a windows. You should keep it home I guess. Open it yourself, have a look or find a electronic specialist to have a look. It will save you time and you machine.

If I knew, I would simply disable the Asic and keep like this ...

but now for 200$ us ?

Not even sure it worth to get it back ...

Hi HerbPean,

We're very sorry to hear you are unhappy with the service you are getting.

The unit at hand has experienced massive corrosion as can be seen in the images below:

These are just a few examples, there's extensive rust and corrosion damage across the boards. This damage can only be caused by exposure to either extreme low temperatures, very high humidity, or both.

The unit has been damaged so badly it can only be fixed by replacing the boards.

We take pride of the quality of our units and service yet even our units have their limit, just like any other electronic device.

Our customer service has RMA several units as I'm sure the forum members can verify, however we cannot cover damages that are caused by improper maintenance.

Our team will continue to work with you as best they can to help you out and will be happy to continue doing so in the future.

Regards,

Gadi
