621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want create new altcoin, who can help me? I just got the idea. Thank you on: May 12, 2017, 03:56:50 PM
Here's a list of things you need to get an altcoin developed:

1. Money

Once you have all of that contact one of the devs who shit out shitcoins. Tolkien might be a good bet, he's known for pumping out shitcoin after shitcoin after shitcoin. Gotta make sure it's someone who indiscriminately releases tons of coins, can't let their values or pride or morals get in the way like a single coin developer would.
622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What ICO are you watching next? for me BAT, TEZOS and STATUS on: May 12, 2017, 03:54:43 PM
Three ICOs in vastly different stages are on my radar: Elastic, MobileGO, and Chimaera. XEL is in final stages of development. ICO took place February of 2016, and initial owner ran off with the moneys. Community members (primarily Evil-Knievel) took charge of development and it is shaping up to look fantastic. MobileGO is currently in the crowdsale phase, really excited for this one because it's the first example of crypto adoption for an array of games, rather than a single game. Chimaera seeks to perform similar ideas as MobileGO, but for computer gaming. Chimaera is in pre-announcement stage, hopefully an ICO date will come out soon.
623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEW] Chimaera - a Decentralized Gaming Platform and more - coming soon on: May 12, 2017, 03:42:31 PM
What's he difference with Mobile GO?

MobileGO acts as a universal currency for the centralized GameCredits mobile app store. Chimaera, of course, offers a decentralized platform for online games utilizing blockchain for universal/persistent currencies.
624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Video Game Altcoin General on: May 12, 2017, 02:17:42 PM
I'm sure there are a lot of people out there, alongside myself, who see the huge potential upside in altcoins as mechanisms of video games and virtual economies. Wanted to put together a thread to talk/speculate about individual currencies as well as the industry as a whole.

The coins I am personally familiar with/have held include:

GAME- global video game currency solution
MobileGO- Asset on top of GAME that provides same goal within mobile gaming markets
BitCrystals- currency for Spells of Genesis
HunterCoin- currency mined through a blockchain-based mmo
Nexium- Currency for a MOBA game
Chimaera- System used to register online games and currencies on a decentralized gaming platform (pre-alpha)
Rarepepeprty- Counterparty assets representing stock in upcoming Pepecash-based game, pepe.party

What do you guys think of any or all of these coins? Are there others out there which I'm missing out on?
625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HUC] Huntercoin - Worlds First Decentralized Game/World on the Blockchain on: May 11, 2017, 04:41:07 PM
hay guys,

I plan to buy some huc

where can we exchange it ??

So far Huntercoin is only on Poloniex. https://poloniex.com/exchange/#btc_huc

hmmm, i hope they are list on bittrex, i want to trade it, but dont want to deposit in poloniex, polo is scam, too many problem currently

Poloniex has its issue but it's not an awful place to trade. Huntercoin has been on there for ages without any issues. Realistically, no exchange in this crypto industry is trustworthy, you have to factor in risk of scam into your trading endeavors.
626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][NEW] Chimaera - a Decentralized Gaming Platform and more - coming soon on: May 11, 2017, 03:39:26 PM
Devs are still in preliminary phases. I'm sure once there is a concrete plan in place for ICO, we'll see a lot more activity and learn a lot more of the definitive fundamentals of the project. They also might be waiting for GAME/MobileGO crowdsale to finish, since both projects seek to fulfill somewhat similar goals. If that's the case, expect a late May/early June announcement.
627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Pumping groups, or how to make a lot of cash by a magic trick on: May 11, 2017, 02:51:47 PM
Whales exist because they profit off the shortcomings of the little guppies. You're not going to be able to make it big off the "gullibility" of some poor whale. Money flows up in the altcoin exchange industry, not down. You're better off doing your own research and making good trades rather than trying to manipulate others.
628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My Portfolio on: May 10, 2017, 02:40:39 PM
What are your thoughts on shorting? I see DOGE and Stellar falling in coming weeks. Also, ever look into Nexium? NXC on Poloniex. Similar to BitCrystals, it's a currency employed for an online game. Since you've invested in GAME and MobileGO it might be up your alley.

PEPECASH featured ...in Japan  Cool

http://www.ocknamo.com/entry/2017/05/09/014954

Pepecash has been absolutely booming on Japanese exchange as of late. Great to see other communities getting on board with this unique project. Let's hope the Pepe/Yen pump will translate over to BTC/USD shortly!!
630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What Happened to Augur? on: May 09, 2017, 03:50:51 PM
Correct, you cannot yet bet on the Ethereum network with real currency. The test net is just like the live net - same code and everything, just no one mines on it and its currency is worthless... you can bet there to play around with the mechanics of it and that is where they are putting it through its paces to work out any bugs.

Aweomse, thank you! Is there any specific ETA for when we will see Augur roll out live? Or is 'sometime later this year' all that anyone knows at this point in time?

It just so happens I looked around on their web site the other day and I saw nothing on their blog or elsewhere other than beta release from a while back. They seem to have a lot of speaking engagements scheduled soon, if you want to guess about one of those being a launch announcement, that might not be crazy.

http://blog.augur.net/2016/05/16/new-team-members-upcoming-events/

I guess I was wrong. However, they are at least updating their blog with development info now, and not just speaking engagements. Maybe that is progress?

http://blog.augur.net

The betting system was supposed to be launched years ago. Good to see there is at least some progress taking place, but still really bummed out about the lack of fruition- even a full year later. I might invest myself in the system if/when it's finally finished. Just gotta wait and see, I guess.
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [PEPECASH] 🐸 Pepecash / RarePepe 🦄 Spepeculation Topic on: May 09, 2017, 03:40:31 PM
Do they burn rarepepe ? What does being "locked" mean ? There too many rarepepe of the cheaper ones so I hope they are burned or there too many and it causes inflation.  So is that what they do ? I want to see if it is worth buying some cards or not.

Pepecash must be burned in order for Rare Pepes to be created. IIRC around 1/3rd of the original supply has been burned already. Some cards are worth very little due to high supply or low interest or both. The ones to look into are the ones that are more frequently traded and worth moderate values. A lot of people speculate Hairpepe, for example.

Is there a point at all buying a pepecard like Addams family pepe ? It has so many so do they burn these cards ?

Pepes can be burnt at the discretion of its holders, but there is only a system in place for the continued and ongoing burn of Pepecash. Some artists burn large amounts of their initial supply, but they have no ulterior incentive to do so.
632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] The first truly rare Pepes on the Bitcoin Blockchain! [ANN] on: May 09, 2017, 03:37:50 PM
How often are the rarepepe burnt ? Why but something when there so many of them already ? I can'tfind any info on this anywhere. And what does the lock mean ?

5000 PEPECASH is burned with each new pepecard submission:
http://rarepepedirectory.com/?page_id=25

The initial PEPECASH supply was 1 Billion, but it is now down below 700 million. The lock means that no more pepecash can be created, ever. More details on the present can be found here:
https://counterpartychain.io/asset/PEPECASH
(the largest address with 30.2% tokens is the burn address which noone has a key to, meaning that these pepecash are burned for good.)

Given that the supply is fixed and reduced with each new pepecard the supply is deflationary, which is very good news for long term investors.

So even if there is 100000 of a card in a few months I can bare some profits using it as an asset. I just got concerned when I saw the massive amount of pepecards around. They won't be worth anything u less people buying them and to have that many is basically an infinite amount.

It's hard to say if high issuance cards can be profitable in the long run. We simply don't know yet. If you're expecting putting a few satoshis into a cheap pepe and hoping it moons some day, I'd argue you're better off purchasing shitcoins instead. Rare Pepes that are high issuance serve more as memorabilia than investment.

634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MOBILEGO Crowdfund - Decentralized Solutions on Gamecredits Mobile Store on: May 08, 2017, 04:24:37 PM
Have any more games been announced since the start of the crowdsale? I haven't had much time to check up on things in the past week or so. Either way, looks like MobileGO is coming along fantastically right now! Can't wait to see this all come to fruition
635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][XEL] Elastic Project - The Decentralized Supercomputer on: May 08, 2017, 04:21:29 PM
I'd like the first release to contain something innovative and not just sending/receiving tokens. But the community can vote on this.

This is exactly how I feel. Other cryptos offering to do similar things have already reached the market. The way Elastic excels is by coming to realization with something new to bring with it. A Lite client means absolute jack shit. We don't have to wait for the full thing, but there needs to be some meat along with mainnet launch.
636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: GameCredits Speculation on: April 28, 2017, 04:30:54 PM
Ahh so reason why GAME went down instead of moving up as what more predicted. It is because MobileGo ICO failed to fix the GAME investment option? What is the update of it? Is it fixed now?

Price dumped due to overload on crowdsale servers at start of the sale. Price reached ATH and subsequently fell back down as people sold when they saw the MobileGO sight out of operation. Problems have since been fixed, and price is rebounding. I expect it to continue to increase until day 6 or 7 as people are still jumping to buy in during the first week. Lull in price/volume for next two weeks and another rebound last week as 10% GAME bonus goes into effect for week 4.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Have all the old Altcoin'ers left Crypto ? on: April 28, 2017, 04:27:20 PM
I don't consider myself an "old timer" but I've been on this forum since Novemeber of 2014, and am fairly active in the altcoin section. I do think that the function of altcoins nowadays is different in the past. Back in the day, the focus was on building a "better Bitcoin", now altcoins seek to establish themselves as their own, distinct products and systems.
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DO NOT buy MobileGo during ICO on: April 28, 2017, 04:24:36 PM
In my opinion, MobileGO is different in the sense that they have a working and interesting product. I have not yet bought into the ICO, but plan to before the end of the first week with some of my GAME that I have been holding for quite some time. Unlike other ICO coins I have speculated on, I actually plan on using MobileGO and their mobile app store to play games and interact with other players. I'm going to buy in not only because I think the project has potential to bring me profit, but also because I know I will get satisfaction in using their product.
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Has anyone NOT made profit in this astonishing bull run?? on: April 28, 2017, 04:19:48 PM
GAME, Pepecash, BitCrystals, TrumpCoin, Billary, Waves, Huntercoin, Rubies, Digicube, etc. etc. etc. So many coins have been good to me in this past year, it's phenomenal. Up next is Elastic (mainnet launch soon), MobileGO, Chimaera, and maybe the Back to Earth project. Not to mention Bitcoin has also soared. Hope this train continues on for a little while longer!

Price has been fluctuating between 300 and 400 for quite some time now. A lot want the takeoff to happen, but I'm happy with how it is right now. Buying at low 300s and selling in the high 300s is a pretty safe and sure profit. Wouldn't mind seeing this for the next month or so.
