621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coins on an exchange, any exchange, are never safe on: November 10, 2022, 10:43:15 AM
Every day it seems a new story emerges about an exchange going bankrupt. Has been a recurring pattern since the Mt. Gox collapse. Why, with so many examples of failures, do people continue to keep their money on these? You don't own crypto if you have "coins" on an exchange, you have an IOU from a business that may or may not even be solvent.

Or you are not in possession of real Bitcoin/Cryptocurrency if you do not possess the secret keys/phrases that can be used to access and use the cryptocurrency on wallet that allows you to control and use the keys safely on its platform
622  Other / Politics & Society / Sorry for those who try to achieve peace through the back doors (Ethiopia & Rus) on: November 09, 2022, 12:32:08 PM
Sorry for those who try to achieve "peace" through the back doors (Ethiopia & Russia).

This is mainly for Ethiopia.
Ethiopia, I have observed you trying to abandon the good path that was set for thee, for the wrong path. Barriers preventing you from entering Tigray/Tigrai were removed for you to get into the region, defeat the enemy and guide the region according to the Will of the CREATOR... instead you are negotiating with the enemy (an evil entity) and doing his will in the name of peace.
Haven't you heard that True Peace comes from our CREATOR only? And the only way to achieve it is by obeying HIS commandments? The enemy is only deceiving you in order to get in quickly and conquer you. You think you can outsmart the enemy without the CREATOR guiding you?
Anyway I'm predicting the opposite of what the enemy is trying to offer you: Peace, rewards/money, etc Those will achieve the opposite as it's fake peace and cursed rewards (reward full of problems or rewards of iniquities).  Peace only comes when we are subject to the Will of our CREATOR or obey his Commandments of Love for GOD and Neighbors . That's precisely what was given to you through me... a list of peace messages you must obey to achieve peace... the list includes: replacing tplf with a good group and working with the people of Tigray according to the Will of GOD for the good of the Region, Ethiopia, Africa and the World.

By the way, Tigray seems to want a decentralized system. Decentralization should be done right or in ways that do not create problems for You and the Region.   The people's right to bear arm plus other important rights (rights that do not violate the CREATOR Commandments) should be respected. You or Tigray should not abuse/misuse the rights.
This is the good path you much follow to achieve True Peace. The path requires 100% obedience. You are on your own if you decide to follow the wrong path

The Bull charges backward before rushing forward toward the target in "full force"

What I'm about to reveal to you has happened repeatedly this year and this should be the third time I have noticed it happening.
When anyone tries to harm the one/ones with the greatest effect on the price of Bitcoin/crypto, the market reacts by falling sharply... (this largely depends on whether the one with the greatest effect on the price is affected), the price then reverses and move up sharply. This is analogous to how the bull moves backward before rushing forward to headbutt an opponent... Opponent in the case of the Crypto Market is the bear.
I hope you understand what this mean? The bull is about to reverse and charge towards its target. I wouldn't advise you to trade based on this because you may likely fail. I previously offered people the opportunity to be guided by the one with the greatest effect on price, the Bitcoin master, but only a few grabbed the opportunity. They will be occasionally exposed to the most accurate price prediction in the world.

All Glory be to the CREATOR of the Universe. This is impossible without HIM.

Note that this is not a speculation, it's a prediction. "Price Prediction" would be the best section for this post, assuming such section exists on the forum.

624  Other / Off-topic / Re: My Signature on Bitcoin price Movement & Prediction on: November 08, 2022, 10:07:50 AM
The problem is that there are reasons why Bitcoin moves.

One of the big reasons why Bitcoin will top $100,000 will be the fall of the value of the USD. That's to say, it's not Bitcoin changing in price. It's the dollar changing in value.

When the dollar falls against Bitcoin, it will mean the collapse of the dollar is imminent. And when it falls so badly that the Federal Reserve Bank collapses, think of all the poor people who will suddenly lose their Social Security.

We really need to put something in place that can prop the poor people up, who are depending on the dollar. There are a few things we can do, but it will take a group of us... just like it took several Devs and a whole bunch of advice from others to make Bitcoin what it is today.

Cool

Ofcourse. However the price of Bitcoin will only be more valuable if dollar falls 20% (for example) against Bitcoin without Bitcoin moving up or down...Bitcoin will only be 20% more valuable in this case. What could move Bitcoin up while dollars falls is if people are moving their funds from dollars to Bitcoin.

Dollars is actually supported by us, partly due to those who will suffer the consequences of its collapse. We actually need to build something secure and reliable (which idea has been sufficiently developed already) they can fall back on incase it collapses. However dollar will be supported until the "Red King" takes over. I think he could support and prevent its collapse.

Hey BADecker,
In regards to the bolded above, I think people/someone should be taking over from there... I mean someone should help support the dollar while I focus on Bitcoin. I want to use Bitcoin to help others and fund "my work"... It's a work that involves saving people. Dollar has been supported long enough without anyone supporting the one who supports it. I want to fund my work with profits I make from Bitcoin price increase. Not doing so could hinder the work which the CREATOR sent me to do.

It seems you understand dollar price movements fairly well, so why not support it with word of Wisdom? You can do that from anywhere. Just one truth about the fiat currency is enough to move it up. If you have so much on you, then a temporal support of dollar may be transfered to Red King (if they allow him) or other people considered by the world as qualified. But I can't guarantee its stability unless it's in the hand of the CREATOR who is likely not pleased with the way HE has been treated by the world especially people from Babylon. I'll indirectly support the dollar by prayer for the one/ones who will start supporting it. That will require total submission to the Will of the CREATOR by the new supporter, otherwise there may be problems. I will occasionally takeover the support of the fiat currency probably when I stop supporting Bitcoin price. This may depend on how humble the world (especially those from Babylon) becomes. If they continue hurting the one who currently support the dollar, he may choose to temporarily support other fiat currencies like Ruble without giving up on praying for those supporting the dollars.

I want to hear from you soon before I make this decision. No problem if replying me is not necessary... i will just start doing it.
I expect the qualified to takeover control and I will be praying for whoever they are or he/she is.

Meanwhile I'm also considering supporting both Bitcoin and dollar in the future at the same time without either Bitcoin or Dollar having issues as a result. I believe if we decide to stop everyone from buying Bitcoin for sometimes the price will still increase when the true value is revealed to people, without dollar losing value in their eyes unless they weaken the value themselves, for example by printing too much of it

I think part of the issues here is lack of understanding of my post and suggestions. I wish I could share this with optimists or people who would not believe my simple ideas are impossible to implement. I actually prefer to solve problems alone than involving people unless I could control what they say. It's hard to find people like me.
Incase you are not aware, I contributed to Gmail current method of categorizing received messages/mails, but when I initially contributed to the idea on Google Plus, I'm not sure anyone supported it until I saw it implemented later on Gmail. We are currently enjoying it.

Anyway, anyone can recommend to us how we can easily download our data from Bitcointalk. That is the major reason I want a decentralized forum - to be able to control my data or have copies of my posts/comments saved in my devices so that I can search through them whenever I want, even if the forum nolonger exist. I found an interesting tool yesterday called "DocFetcher". It's a bit like Google Search  for your local data. It should enable me search for posts/writeup I saved in my laptop. It would be nice using that for all of my valuable posts on the internet saved in my devices.
I want something that could serve me well whenever I start moving more often as a nomad, without the internet.
627  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: November 07, 2022, 04:39:08 PM
i am a newbie in bitcoin, and i plan to buy bitcoin,, and will invest in bitcoin, and i want to ask everyone? if investing in bitcoin is it better short term or long term??? but in my opinion, long-term investment is better, but what do you think?

I'll recommend long-term investment especially for those who wish to contribute to the Bitcoin Project and possibly benefit from its price increase. So investing longterm is better, but you free to sell part of your investment whenever you need money to solve other important issues in your life. You can always contribute ideas/efforts for the development Bitcoin which can also qualify as investment.

Should people come forward to donate blood? Tell me what you think!
Have you ever donated blood? Tell me your story!

If what it requires to save human life is donating blood voluntarily, why not.

I however would first of all suggest to anyone who needs my blood to avoid consuming things that suck life out of the blood, and replace them with things that give it life... like the Word of GOD and good foods/drinks/meds. They will refresh anyone with lowlife blood. I think the problem is blood with low life/oxygen not really inadequate blood.

How quickly the time has passed, I can clearly remember the time I was browsing the forum during my vacation, lying on the sunbed next to the pool and reading some old posts of satoshi and decided to create an account here.
Those 5 years were incredible, made a lot of new anonymous friends (and less enemies), a lot of fun times, had a lot of fun chasing the spammies and manage to reach legendary rank!

Thank you theymos (and the team) for keeping this amazing world alive and holding it strong together for so many years!
I hope the next 5 years will be full with the same excitement!

Thank you friends!!

With love,

TBB Smiley

Congrats. Nice to see a member I'm older than having a higher forum rank than me. But I wonder, which would you rather have, the power to control Bitcoin price and do other interesting things or a higher forum rank and merit?
630  Other / Meta / Converting Bitcointalk to a decentralized Forum (Non-technical explanation) on: November 07, 2022, 10:11:55 AM
I have been considering discussing this for a while now but didn't see any strong need for it. I think it needs to be considered now for several reasons. Some of which are, to make the forum hard to take down, to have post of members preserved even if the forum database is destroyed/corrupted from a single point etc. Incase of the latter, the forum copies can replicate and continue to exist possibly with another domain name (if necessary). The right domain name which should be accepted as the real forum domain name could be choosen via consensus involving most/all forum participants

So, I'm suggesting the development of a forum that works offline with members forum data saved in their devices, more like how Telegram or similar messagers do it. Such offline forum would enable members create posts, change forum settings and have them synced later with whoever is having the full forum data. Forum members can hold any amount of forum data the wish, whether it's the full/whole data or parts of it, such as their posts, threads they are posted in and their (members) forum settings. In regards to holding the full forum's data, I think it should be done in such a way that forum data that should not be seen or accessed by the holders is thoroughly encrypted, only the owners of the data can decrypt and access them. This would mean no one will be able to access or change Satoshi forum data (not even theymos or other high ranking admins) except Satoshi, who will be the only one with the decryption keys for his forum data... All other members including theymos will have their own decryption keys too.

The forum can exist in one or two forms/versions: the offline and online forms. I remember Gmail existing in similar manner (offline/online Gmail) with the offline one use for composing, sending email (and for other uses) offline, which later synced probably with the online version, with the latest state of the owner's account updated. For example, if an owner sends mail with the online version, the offline gmail will be updated to the latest "sent message" when the owner connects it to the internet... and vise-versa . Unfortunately, this Gmail method is still centralized, as users can only have copies of their own data rather than the whole Gmail data encrypted and saved in holders devices. With my method, any Bitcointalk members should be able to hold the full forum data in very secured manner.. It should be impossible for the holders to access people private data more like the Bitcoin system and Blockchain. This would also make forum moderation decentralized, open, community-based, transparent etc. With this method, members can rank up automatically to become moderators, moderators ranked up to become higher mods. Higher ranks will automatically get higher moderators access. And moderators should be ranked based on merit. I have developed and discussed a merit-based ranking system that's fraud-proof/fool-proof ... it can only rank up reputable moderators/members. Incase you are interested, let me know and I will share it here.

I guess the "Gmail offline" is available for both PC and Android devices assuming it's still in use. The forum offline version could exist in similar manner mostly for the sake of flexibility. You could either download the forum on your laptop/pc or on your android (or other mobile operating systems) devices.

You may move this post to the  right section if this is not the right place to post it.

631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why i believe in bitcoin!! An amateur's outlook. on: November 04, 2022, 10:19:36 AM
I came to know about bitcoin somewhere in December 2021. When it was hovering around 50,000 USD.
I read about its story from how Satoshi started the project to bitcoin pizza and more.  I felt inspired. I decided to learn more about it and joined the forum with the same intention.
Over period of time i learnt things from crypto-wallets to crypto-exchanges. I learnt how bitcoin gained value and what are its benifits.
I also learnt about the flood of altcoins in the market, and how they are rising and falling overnight. Giving people chance to gamble and make fortune.

However to me bitcoin always felt special, because while projects fizzle out now and than, bitcoin has steadily been the corner stone of cryptoworld.
Also maybe i joined this forum, may be this naturally enhanced my trust in bitcoin.
I am not an avid investor. I invest small amounts now and than in bitcoin, and intend to not to touch my investment atleast this decade. I hope by then it will grow to a respectable sum.

While lot of people off late were saying that bitcoin is finally doomed to fall. Recently my trust in bitcoin has substantially increased because of the  way it held its value against market forces . While all the currencies including euro and yen, showed a steep drop against dollar. The share marked saw a fall. Bitcoin held its ground.Against all the naysayers against all the government bans and restrictions, bitcoin managed to hold.
I believe it has proven its mettle.
I believe soon bitcoin will rise and shoot to the stars..
Waiting for that to happen.

You should only Trust or Believe in the Perfect HAND that controls/guides Bitcoin rather than trusting Bitcoin itself. Without the Perfect HAND, it would be corrupted by people and destroyed.
It's actually a well developed and very useful technology. Anyone who understands its true value would invest his/her time, efforts (not necessarily money)etc in seeing that it continues to develop to the right direction for the benefit of humanity/society. Your good contributions will ensure a sustained price increase. So, better to focus more on its development... its price will continue to increase as long as it continues to be valuable/useful.
632  Economy / Economics / Re: Can One Get Rich or At least Not go Broke During a Recession? on: November 03, 2022, 04:50:43 PM
Recession is coming and we know it. In some places it is staring us right in the face. Unemployment, rising cost of living, increasing food prices, falling stocks etc are some of the negative effects associated with recession. Despite this seemingly bad news, Warren Buffet said “In short, bad news is an investor’s best friend”. And another quote by someone goes thus "millionaires are made during a recession". I have been recently laid-off work due to the recent economic crisis in my country. I do not want to see this as a bad thing. So I ask what hidden opportunities does this recession offer? How can one take opportunity of the recession to become rich or at least not go broke?

Unemployment, rising cost of living, increasing food prices, falling stocks etc are mainly the symptoms of overconsumption of abundant. Just becareful how much you consume if you don't have means to sufficiently produce what you consume.

Invest in production of good things that are locally abundant in supply and high in demands. Be careful saving in fiat currency long-term.
633  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen to crypto exchanges in the future? on: November 03, 2022, 04:10:38 PM
Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular and applicable everyday and there are plenty of companies and businesses accepting it as a common type of payment. However, when digital money is globally accepted, would there still be a need for cryptocurrency exchanges? Any thoughts on this?

Of course there will be need for platforms to exchange digital money and crypto, assuming you mean platform to exchange currencies with people rather than the typical "trading" platforms.
I expect Decentralized/p2p platforms to be the desired means to exchange decentralized currencies like Bitcoin. It keeps the currencies from getting centralized and losing the purpose they were invented .
It's important to build decentralized platforms that are fast, feature-rich (with feature like escrow) and convenient as centralized versions to make this a possibility.
634  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let the World give Glory to our CREATOR. on: November 03, 2022, 02:29:59 PM
I too have experienced this, or rather something similar. Glory to the Creator that shall not be seen…

Are you serious? You are a human, right? I read even HIS angels are overwhelmed by HIS presence to the extent of covering their faces. Sometimes I wonder if they have seen HIM.
635  Other / Off-topic / Let the World give Glory to our CREATOR. on: November 03, 2022, 12:36:05 PM
Give Glory to the CREATOR Of all things. Give Glory to HIM. HE is a GREAT GOD, Wonderful and Excellent. When you realize who the CREATOR really is, you will certainly be put to shame like I did when I first discovered the truth. HIS servant was shocked beyond belief when he was taken up to know the KING, whether in the Spirit or this body I do not know. It was a quick travel to somewhere that seems very far and outside of our existence but the arrival was "in a twinkling of an eye".  It was as if the CREATOR was in a Great, Bright and Beautiful Light... Light so great and beautiful that it quenched his servant thirst and he was full of joy. Suddenly he realized HE wasn't qualify to approach or see the KING. Luckily he was spoken to. The KING who is the SOURCE of Existence dwells in the Sparkling & Brilliant Light... Light so sparkling & brilliant that It makes the most sparkling thing on earth very inferior. Do you know some other wonderful things HIS servant experienced in that existence? It appeared as if Heaven and everything in It was alive and with one consciousness. You somehow were able to understand what is in "minds" of everyone in that beautiful existence. The stones, Water, and everything else I notice where alive because the SPIRIT of GOD the CREATOR made them alive... and I felt like they were observing me.
GOD is very GREAT. HE is so GREAT that the scripture says we are counted as less than nothing by HIM, yet HE doesn't stop visiting and blessing us. Unfortunately, HE hardly receives the credits for the Great things HE do for the world. The god of this world and his servants take the credit for things they cannot fully explain how and why they happen.
I want the Credit to go to the CREATOR this time around, even if it's once or few times. Let's be thankful for once and stop giving glory to useless things.
Please give Glory in your heart, via your mouth and in any good way possible.
I now understand what it feels like to have what you deserve going to people who don't deserve them. I remember being told in the spirit that THEY will allow me to experience it to enable me understand a little abit of how they feel when they are treated unfairly by humans whom they love so much. My experiences from people felt like treachery. It was shocking sometimes but I was never abandoned or disappointed by the CREATOR.
Please let us now give Glory to HIM. Let's show great appreciations for great things HE has done for us . Miracle(things that are impossible to achieve without HIM) happens when Glory goes to the CREATOR. Praise and give glory to the SOURCE of Existence. Give Glory to the CREATOR of everything. HE is wonderful, Excellent and Mighty. All Glory goes to the SOURCE of Existence. Thank you my CREATOR.
636  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why doesn't Bitcoin consider a low interest rate mechanism to fight deflation? on: November 02, 2022, 03:03:45 PM
The number of bitcoins issued is halved roughly every four years.
In the future this number of releases will be small.

Why not consider a fixed low interest rate mechanism to ensure that Bitcoin is more suitable for current economic activity?
For example, if you hold 1 bitcoin in an address, you will be rewarded 0.02 bitcoin after holding it for 1 year.
Interest is calculated and paid every year or before you will pay to another address.

Why would you want to fight deflation? To prevent price from increasing so quickly that it keeps it from becoming a better medium of exchange? If the purpose is to prevent price from increasing so quickly,, it will most likely not work because supply would decrease and demand increase when lots of people hold that way to earn rewards.
Besides, things are not that simple. Such payment will only be meaningful if the saved bitcoins are put into good use or are useful for the network to keep it profitable/valuable otherwise a worthless network will pay worthless rewards.
In reality such fixed payment or rewards would be non-guaranteed and can only be based on how profitable your company's or organization's is otherwise you get paid worthless interest.

The deflationary model remains the best option for long-term holders who wish to earn valuable rewards that are non-guaranteed. It could encourage people to work harder to increase demand and sustain a price increase. The guaranteed reward like you suggested can be very deceptive and unsustainable
637  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if Satoshi… on: November 02, 2022, 01:58:44 PM

If there were a pinned post in some sort of “inner circle board” somewhere explaining as to why he is unworthy I would surely like to see that.

Not really about Satoshi. He doesn't seem to be badly treated by those who took over from him in the early days. They accorded him alot of respect to the extent of naming a site after him and adhering to his most important ideals.
Not so with certain altcoin founders. It's seems couple of them just want him and people like him gone or forgotten completely.
638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why btc cannot move pow to pos on: November 01, 2022, 04:07:49 PM
This question comes, Do btc network can move to POW to POS?
I am just asking and there is a issue that electricity bill too. Energy problem is most hottest topic all now. so lets discuss this

Bitcoin PoW requires working hard to earn reward rather than requiring money. A PoW consensus mechanism requires you to solve puzzles and get rewarded once the work is done.. But PoS says you just need to prove you own hugh amount of money to get a job and earn rewards. It's a very corrupt system... The kind of corruption we see in "third world countries"

Hardwork requires alot of energy. The important thing is to make sure that much of the energy is going into solving problems rather than getting wasted in any form. If most/all of the energy is used to solve problems then there will be no need to consume more electricity from nuclear power plant (for example) to solve the problems the mining hardware has solved. The miners are supposed to use energy efficiently to prevent waste of energy that should be used in solving problems like heating homes during winter.

639  Economy / Economics / Re: Life is a puzzle ! on: November 01, 2022, 10:31:08 AM
We have to choose the right pieces and get them together , if we choose them wisely we will have a dream life and if not it will be full of dislocations and struggles!

Main parts of this puzzle are study, proper job , marriage, smart housing move and retirement plan! We shall Live like economist and study each step economically.

Everyone is typically gifted with the piece of solution to every natural puzzle. Humans need to learn to find those with the different puzzle pieces to a solution and make sure no contributor is cheated out of his/her reward once the puzzle is solved.
640  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if Satoshi… on: November 01, 2022, 10:02:44 AM
In regards to your second post.

Part of issue is with those unwilling to recognize the fact that the light bringer is as important as the monkeys who spend many years or days piling up sticks they probably hoping will somehow light up itself or even have no idea how to cause them to light up.
Humans are created with different gifts they may not be able to make sense of or use independently to a create a well developed product unless they combine with those who have parts of the gifts that are required to create a solution. It's like many people trying to solve a puzzle that everyone has a piece of, but they need to put the pieces together and arrange them properly to create a full product/solution... Then once everyone brings his/her own pieces and the puzzle is solved, the one who made sense of the combine pieces of puzzle and tell the rest how to arrange them to form a solution is counted as not nothing, fictional, unworthy, or not deserving of any reward because according to some fools having idea is not enough but having it developed with your own hands.

Fools like that currently live in crypto space, proudly claiming on a pinned post that light bringers like Satoshi is unworthy.  This can discourage future Satoshi from contributing to a project thereby preventing a team from success.
