I can count them on a motherboard though.

Never could. I don't also understand the difference between say 24 phases and 8+2 or something like that for mobos.

I think the question here is go 7970x2 or reference 7990s ( if these even exist ) Huh
642  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: June 03, 2012, 12:29:23 AM
How did this get to 28 pages of posts?  Just pay the dude back and get over it.  I am sure if you did that the scammer tag would be removed.

I am surprised you have stuck around so long with that tag.  Have to give you credit for that.

Why not stick to it ?

I still consider I have done nothing wrong at all.

Been here since May 10 2011 and since prices of $0.58 and not planning to leave any time soon.

Just because Raize wants to blackmail me for 22.5 BTC to get the tag removed, I will not just pack up and leave. That is what a man without character does ( a scammer makes a new account ). For another example of this happening see terrytibbs guy.

For now, I don't give a damn about the tag anymore. I quite like it now.

When I will be trying to sell something then I will pay up but for now I enjoy the trolling in this thread and being the big, fat scammer.

Also, it seems A1BITCOINPOOL still is a scammin' so I have no reason to trust Raize until then and his "strange" methods to force others to pay up.

Since you are quoting all of my posts here why not start quoting all my posts elsewhere too Huh

I like to see the awesomeness that is me TWICE because that makes it TWICE as funz !

BTW if you haven't heard - I can't edit anything since I am a scammer ...

I've had a lot of dropped connections to eu1 server in the past couple of hours, anyone else?

How long are the drops? I was turning on the p2pool and that probably was it, it wasn't connecting...?

Update: Just did a reset, should be fixed..?

Update: Going to work on the real time user stats, putting p2pool as a 2nd priority...

Can you use this pool as backup for when other pools go down ?

Does it have to be 24/7 ?

I am just asking ...
645  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: June 02, 2012, 01:07:08 AM
Why can't we just ban Bulanula for being a complete jerksociopathically challenged individual?

Why can't we just ban you for trolling Huh

Nice to see BFL is not a scam.

Now about that ASIC ... Grin

Love the effort from the guy but I think we all know that it is going to get leaked without the commission at some point.

Same with digital copy of magazine ...

Piracy in inevitable. I think he should have sold it off initially rather than take a constant 5% cut but that is just me.
648  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: June 02, 2012, 12:25:25 AM
IMO what you done was such a dick move its worse than scamming.

Yeah. I think this warrants a special SUPERSCAMMER tag from the forum admininstration Kiss
649  Other / Meta / Re: Unjust scammer tag on: June 02, 2012, 12:18:37 AM
If someone makes a mistake and you profit from it, and then they recognize their mistake and demand that you give up the profit you made from the mistake, and then you claim "I don't do refunds in BitCoin", then you're not a scammer, but you're a jerk.

The mods acknowledge that there are better terms to describe him than scammer, but that they didn't want to create a new tag for him in the system, so the scammer tag would have to do.

How convenient ...
650  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is MtGox going crazy or manipulating? on: May 31, 2012, 06:49:56 PM
Any chance on an official statement from Gox?  This seems pretty important...

They won't acknowledge anything. And you thought PayPal was bad ...

There is no transparency in Gox. Manipulation and front running is rampant.

sub

What's with the scamming?  You make joke?

I been laying low for the last few months, so I don't remember you being a scammer...

No, the forum folks decided to make a joke of me Undecided

I don't give refund after somebody claims to send me 25 BTC "by mistake" and I offer service instead but the guy wants me scammer tagged.

Read all about it : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=78386.0

"It's been proven that bulanula was overpaid, so he's ethically obligated to return the extra BTC (minus a few percent for the inconvenience, perhaps).

I admit that "scammer" might not be the most accurate term, but creating a new tag would be inconvenient and "scammer" is close enough." - theymos

653  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Looking for People that have 50GH/sec or more 200% PPS on: May 31, 2012, 01:14:45 PM
10 GHash/s makes 0.44 btc in 10 minutes. Why would anyone with that much hashpower spend the time to switch everything over to you just to make 0.56 btc or $3. Not really worth their time IMHO.
miners with 50+ ghash/s really ought to have a proxy in place already, which would make it very easy and painless.

Centralized point of failure you say ? No thanks !

Interesting idea nonetheless.
654  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Selling another batch of 40 ICARUS - shipping now on: May 31, 2012, 12:22:00 PM
Just curious, for those that are buying them- what's the expected break even period for this device?

With things like the block reward half coming and the BFL ASIC solution, nobody really knows.

You could say it is x months and it can turn out to be 10x months for example due to above unknown factors.

Mining is very risky all of a sudden Cry

Same applies to any solution right now, including GPUs etc.

656  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Litecoin - a lite version of Bitcoin. Launched! on: May 30, 2012, 11:10:56 PM
Is there any chance that litecoin can be changed to again be GPU hostile?

This would be a BRILLIANT idea IMHO !

Let's do it, coblee !
657  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A day in the life of a pirate. on: May 30, 2012, 10:35:21 PM

The myth of selling BTC to fools locally is laughable. Nobody is stupid to pay more for BTC than market rate I would believe.

I've done just that, might only have been a few thousand dollars worth, but a 10-20% premium was still worth having.

Did you find a fool, or someone using the coins for illicit means?

I think the latter most likely Wink

Buying coins on MtGox requires you to be AML and follow the law and submit documents.

Trading BTC person to person requires none such things and it is understandable why the 20% premiums demanded by the seller. Especially if in high quantities.

BTC buyer hands over money to be laundered -> BTC seller gives "untainted" BTC -> BTC buyer then goes and gets his "clean" USD through exchange as BTC can't be traced etc.

I don't think pirate is doing this BTW. Just my observations / possible explanation why somebody would be selling BTC at a high premium locally.

NOTICE:

Im aware that some users actually permanently stayed on their backup pools, all I can think is that their backup pool configuration in their miners stuffed up or they didnt update to cgminer 2.4.1

CGMiner 2.4.1. did not resolve this issue, sometimes the pool stays on 'rejecting' state even though it is working fine again

Well that sucks, i thought ckvolas resolved that since whats the purpose of backup pool when primary pool dies but it stays connected to it and just dump shares Sad

It was resolved for everybody else and all other pools. I can testify to this.

It is just your sucky proxy pool that has very high rejects and it keeps getting disabled.

No need to ask ckolivas to change cgminer. 2.4.1 has no bugs AFAIK.

Tell your miners to use the --no-pool-disable switch when at your pool and turn the switch off when at other normal / non-proxying / low reject pools Wink

Good luck !

if it was specific to this pool, all my mining rigs would stay connected to my backup pool.... they don't.... sometimes 1 or 2 of them keep hashing away at the backup pool, while the others happily switch back to Clipse.... seems clear enough to me !

Seems you are right.

I was just reporting that cgminer 2.4.1 does not seem flawed to me.

The pool failover system does work for me while using a normal pool because it detects LP requests. Proxy pools do it differently probably as they don't have their own LP I think.

Carry on and don't let me distract you. I was just saying I believe cgminer is not at fault here. Maybe there is an incompatibility between cgminer and proxy pools due to how LP is handled ?

Not disappointed at all Clipse. On the contrary, I found using your pool much less rewarding compared to a normal pool simply because of the high reject % and that is why I stopped mining.

I gave you a "sorry, let me back in" PM so I could try again and see if the reject ratio went down but you don't like me ...
