I am getting paid by my pool. I was just saying that I'm not getting any public work.

Check your set PPS price. Set it to .00005, you should start getting some.

EDIT: I have received some complaints about listing the PPS price. Seriously, people, enough is enough. This is a public (albeit beta) pool, and attempting to keep that information secret is simply selfish. Unless pirateat40 specifically requests as such, I am not going to delete my post.

Whaaaaaaat !? Are you saying that I can mine at a rate of 0.00005 BTC per share submitted ?

That is like MADNESS. I gotta get this setup ASAP and stop messing with those silly bonus PPS pools.

Thanks for the tip !

So ATM it seems that I get paid 0.00005 you get 0.000005 and the guy buying the shares pays total of 0.000055 ? LOL.

How do I connect Grin ?

Yep, easy money.  Are you invited already?

Look at second post in thread Wink

How do I point my miners at your pool ?

Oh dear... if you can't figure it out I'm going to strip your mining license.

Yeah. Now I just need to fix my damn router and I will be flying. Cheesy

EDIT : How come I cannot use a pool like "a1bitcoinpool.com:xxxx" because it gives me this error "Connection refused - connect(2)"

Maybe it is an infinite loop which is not allowed Huh

Thanks pirate !

1) /opt/bamt/fixer has to be run multiple times (once for each update)

for me i just run the command one time and keep pressing 1 to uupdate, and eventually alll get done.

this is correct.  I don't know where the idea you need to run it multiple times comes from, but it is not true.
run it once and hit enter or 1 until it's done, you will have all updates.

Is there a way to download everything all at once?

no

Well, not until lodcrappo releases BAMT 0.5 Wink

Just installed 2.2.4 on WinXP Catalyst 11.6.

It did not generate the .bin files for me.  I tried multiple times with different command line options and rebooted and tried again.

I copied my renamed .bin files over from the previous install and am working now.
Thanks,
Sam

So are you saying that cgminer 2.2.4 does not work with catalyst 11.6 Huh

Thanks !
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: artforz and coblee gpu mining litecoin since the start? on: February 11, 2012, 02:52:31 PM
IMHO I believe this can all be possible and true.

After all ArtForz WAS mining like 60 000 BTC using a 4870 in early BTC days without giving anyone anything.

Why would he not do it again for LTC ?

I remember asking for LTC GPU miner and did not get anything. They refused to give it to me claiming that it was very slow ( which is total BS I think ).

Wish I could code up some magic BS and mine without anybody noticing anything.

... but it will accept -k diakgcn provided it is loading the kernel called diakgcn120208.cl . This will allow you to at least play with the .cl file and see if you can figure out what's wrong with it perhaps.

It accepts, but don't submits shares to pool Sad Shows a hashrate and GPU is hot (works) but there's no info about accepted shares (as usual) and pool website also confirms that there's no worker that is mining.
THIS IS NOT FOR USAGE ! THIS IS FOR DEBUGGING PURPOSES BY DIAPOLO ONLY. IT DOES NOT PRODUCE SHARES.
So what's the point of placing this into official package? It's confusing only!

LOL. Some of the windblows and noobs on this board really make me laugh hard. It is 5 posts above clearly said : DOES NOT SUBMIT VALID SHARES !

The point ? You have the option to test the hashrate without actually generating shares etc. for future improvement.

RTFM. Roll Eyes

950/180  Do the math.

It doesnt work out to a nice round number. But I just tried.
5870 @ 950/300 : 432.4
5870 @ 950/180 : ~441-442
5870 @ 950/170 : ~442

Not a quantum leap, but still quite a nice boost!

So I tried another 5870 that runs at 1 GHz applying the same memory clock and same ratio and a few other speeds:

5870 @1000/300: 454.7
5870 @1000/200: ~459
5870 @1000/190: ~460
5870 @1000/180: ~460
5870 @1000/150: ~454

Smaller boost than at 950. Not too sure what to make of it, but there is nothing wrong with getting a few extra MH while consuming less power Smiley

Note these results were obtained testing just a few minutes on each setting, dont take it as gospel

Have to try this tweak and 2.2.4 version. Can memory go lower than 150 MHz ?

Thanks !
1629  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Phatk2 Mod (Already seeing improvement!) on: February 11, 2012, 02:09:56 PM
So this new kernel should be used with 2.6 or 2.1 sdk?
It's not a new kernel, it's a mod to the existing one.  I'm trying to add Vectors8 support and disabling of global offset for increased output for SDK 2.6 while maintaining the functionality for SDK 2.1.  This method has already been used with Diapolo's GCN miner and has seen some improvement (with his kernel) on VLIW-based cards.  You can see the test I've done with hashing rate in his thread.
The problem I'm running into is that Phatk2 seems to have a difficult time handling 8 vectors at once due to memory constraints which effectively cut the number of hashes in half.  So, I'm hoping to fix this little problem and introduce the ability to disable global offset in order to maximize output.  I also hope to fix the problem of outputting multiple found nonce each round in the case that more than one acceptable share is found while hashing.  But I'm going to need people's help with this project.  It'll be the people's kernel so to speak.  ^_^

Please post a link if you can. I know Diapolo's thread but don't know exactly which page etc.

Thanks !

So how much increase can we expect on a 5870 ?

Is this really the fastest kernel for a 5870 ?

Thanks !

Yeah would be good if we knew that magical memory clock / core clock ratio for 5870s !

My own mining farm however is still hopping as its allways been, never denied that nor plan to stop hopping as I have been since more than a year now.

So what rate would you get by doing this ? 140% PPS ? Depends on hashrate ?

Thanks !
1633  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: results of 64bit 0.5a testing.. on: February 09, 2012, 05:46:22 PM
So far it seems most people are having problems with the 64 bit test image.

If you are testing the new image and have something to report, please do it soon.

The decision on 32 or 64 bits going forward will be made soon.  So far the results are overwhelming in favor of staying with 32 bit kernel and drivers.

Thank god for that Grin ! LOL.

If you need 64bit you can go over to Linuxcoin Wink

64 bits has no real use for mining ( only maybe for CPU mining it is faster ).

1635  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: CGMINER GPU bitforce overclock monitor fanspeed RPC in C linux/windows/osx 2.2.3 on: February 09, 2012, 01:28:25 PM
I just encountered a weird problem with the latest version 2.2.3. One of my backup pools went dead and it seemed to be interfering with cgminer's ability to update the statistics on top (mhs, gpu temp and fan rpm). Basically, these stats were frozen and cgminer was only acting on what they last said (so fan rpms and such were not being adjusted properly, a potentially dangerous situation). When I disabled the offending pool, stats began updating again normally. Enabled the pool again and right back to frozen stats. A couple of times tonight this caused the fans to go to 100% due to overheating because the rpms were being kept too low due to the last stat update being too long ago.

Not sure what else I can do to help track this down, pool management is set to failover, but failover only flag is not enabled.

This on what OS ?

Thanks !
1636  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Phatk2 GOFFSET Mod on: February 09, 2012, 11:19:01 AM
oh, and I was just going to test this kernel too to see what the hell goffset did for hashes

Yeah interested as well. Can we expect like a massive performance increase from 440 mhash/s for a 5870 to 700 mhash/s Grin ?

Guess not but let us know !
1637  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ 115% Bonus PPS Pool ] - Private Beta on: February 08, 2012, 11:38:35 PM
See, has Clipse been asking for help on improving BitHopper?  Why?  Cause it had a hard time scaling?  Hopping with very high hash rates!

https://github.com/Clipseza

Good catch. Thats pretty convincing evidence in case anyone still doubted it.

LOL. The investigative powers of this forum never cease to amaze me.

I think it is fair to say that is what they are probably doing. I have been in Africa ( Harare to be precise ) and I know one thing : the people there CERTAINLY would not be buying BTC like crazy. Even in SA, ( which is much more civilized and people are not dying of hunger ) I wouldn't believe that there was so much demand for BTC.

Anyway, anyone got a link on how I can do that myself straight away with some sort of proxy on my LAN or something like that ?

Like I said before, I have morals but I just want to see the profit margins and how it is done. I certainly would not do it long term for profit. Stealing from miners = no-no.

Thank you !

Stop lying, you are hopping with everyone hashes!  I see you and the the Thai Sheep hopping on Bitclockers and trying on Bitlc.  Your business plan is BS and makes no sense, but hopping at 125% and keeping the 5% to 10% spread is a good idea, but lying and killing prop pools is lame

So, wake up miners, your self-righteous quest to make sure everyone is equal allows the some to take advantage of you and make you think your are equal are in fact robbing you by using your hashes against your wishes...being used unequally ala prop pools <43.5%  I guess putting a layer between hopping and your emotion/inexperience makes it easier to sleep at night.

Post some proof and instructions how to do this if we are to believe you.

Just sayin' Grin

Server went poof?

Yes Rhino, you killed it!

Yeah well that does not really make sense to me. Are they the same person ?

Why would Clipse ( who is paying 120 % ) go to Goat ( who is paying 115% ) !?

Maybe I am just too dumb to comprehend the "magix" behind the scenes Cheesy.

But I think you are right. The secrecy surrounding these "x%" pools is too much and that is a bit doubtful IMHO.

Wow, Jizz that's nuts.  Would you mind sharing your Phoenix command line options?  What driver+SDK version are you using?

Using Catalyst 11.11 on a headless Win7 box (Absolutely nothing connected to any of the video adapters)

 Phoenix 1.7.3.

 cmdline: phoenix -u <localproxy> -k phatk BFI_INT FASTLOOP=false AGGRESSION=7 DEVICE=n WORKSIZE=128 VECTORS

What is that localproxy and how do I get one ?

Thanks !
