641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is ethereum still a viable alternative to Bitcoin? on: January 03, 2022, 06:50:46 PM
Both ethereum and Bitcoin are at a stable price right now, ethereum still maintained its almost 4k price and bitcoin rely on around the 50k region but those investors looking for quick profits are looking for better options between the two so should one remain with Bitcoin or should look for another option like ethereum so what will you advise for a new investor.

This issue is as old as hills. Bitcoin is truly a decentralized coin with anonymous creator while that's not the case in ETHEREUM, it has a founder that is still known and the blockchain is maintained by a team of developers. So I dont think Eth is an alternate to BTC. Right or wrong these are my few satoshis.

As I am reading all posts by OP, it clearly indicates that a person is moving towards cryptocurrency just by fascination. But it doesn't matter anyone comes to this land by choice or by chance, matter is what they learn and what they understand.

At first sight, most users consider crypto as stock or commodity, but crypto is more than that. And it is completely virtual, and open source.

Spending more time on understanding what is cryptocurrency can help to get into the crypto world. also, it needs a more in-depth understanding to store and transact cryptocurrencies virtually within the network by paying network fees and keeping digital assets secure within the wallet with maximum security.

Many think that crypto is just a short cut to become rich in short duration of time. With that mind many jump into crypto and they bear heavy losses. Just like Forex and equity trading you need some technical knowledge. The primary reason for success in crypto trading is HODL, majority of traders are in loss. Trading gives just a short term success.

Why you not looking for a new job in your countries or you could become a freelancer? Coding is one of promising jobs now, even it's depends on your skills and what's software you mastered. You need to have stable income first to cover up your daily expense, trading doesn't guaranteed to earn... it's risky.

Just working to get monthly income and use the rest times to create a bots for trading, what do you think?

If you are a programmer then you can earn good money provided you are good in doing coding and familiar with latest technologies. The best way to start your career as freelancer is to create GIG on fiverr or upwork. Even you can post your services under services sub forum and there are so many people looking for professional coders.

Without hesitation, the Chinese will do their utmost to make this Olympic Games a real celebration of sports.
For example, I am primarily interested in biathlon among men, as well as bobsled competitions.  I believe that the Chinese organizers of the bobsleigh event will prepare a very high quality bobsleigh track for this event.  Of course, curling is also interesting, such a curious and slightly philosophical kind of winter sports.
Yes, there are many more interesting things to see in February. Smiley

China is the new emerging power and they will do there best to make it a big success like they did with Beijing Olympics 2008. They have world finest sporting infrastructure available in there country. Winter Olympics are always fun to watch but this year winter Olympics have biggest challenge of covid19.

Since India lost all their wickets on the first day and South Africa scored 35 runs. They are just 16 runs behind. So I don't think this match will be a draw. We can see the result of this match. If South Africa finish their first innings at less than 300, the match will be under Indian control again. But if South Africa are at least 100 runs ahead, they will have a chance to win the match.

There are 40 wickets that need to be fall in 5 days thats means 8 wickets per day. On first day 11 wickets fell, so one thing is clear we are not heading towards draw there must be some winner for this game. Right now SA aim should be to score 300 runs and get lead of 100 runs. India yet to win test series in SA.

Look like now kohli is going to have his next 100+ at home due to injury. KL Rahul first time having captain batch look like not good for him as team fail to do good performance I am feeling even Rahane is not performing but still good in captaincy, so he deserves this spot for this match.

Kohli is having toughest time of his career. He is removed from captaincy and now under pressure not able to score runs. I think it will be a matter of time after which he will regain his form and start performing well again. Can anyone tell how much tests he has played in last 2 years?
647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: January 03, 2022, 05:29:42 PM
Well, I didn't know that and thanks for the kind information of yours.
But the past has gone and now we gotta focus on what the future holds for cricket. In order to expand cricket again, ICC has to undertake some huge challenges, and maybe advertising or good enough marketing could be a start to a long journey for ICC. In this era of social media, advertising shouldn't be a problem for them in my opinion.

Its irony that Cricket s among top 3 sports worldwide but is limited to few selective countries only. ICC is helpless these days and dont expect anything good from ICC these days as decision makers are England, Aus and India. The focus these days is only IPL, nobody is worried about bringing more countries to cricket.

Kohli is waiting for his 71st century, 2 years and counting  Roll Eyes

Don't know why they included Bumrah, he could use some rest. The way he's performing in Tests, he's national treasure, in fact he should be covered in wool by the BCCI and may be give him $1-2 million worth of extra contract so that he can play only in tests and WC, no need to waste his energy on bilateral limited cricket.

Are you serious? Man Jasprit Jasbirsingh Bumrah is just 28 years old and has played only 25 Tests so far. first he has long way to prove he is a national treasurer or not. Secondly, there is no need for such young player to be preserve for specific format. let him play till his 35 then we can think about that.
649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: January 03, 2022, 05:23:07 PM

Without giving it a second thought my best moment(s) are Ashes. Before start of the series everyone was predictig an easy win for England but its Australia who tuned the table. If I have to specify a moment then its Scott Boland spell in third test that thrashed England batting line up. Its perhaps best spell I have seen so far.

Current Ashes was no doubt full of surprises. Nobody predicted that England will be bowled out like that in first three test matches. Now the point is whether or not Australia will be able to whitewash England or not? In my view England will defiantly come back stronger and avoid whitewash.

South Africa need 262 more runs to win the test match but they are 2 wickets down at the moment with 43 on the board. I want to place the bet on this match and i fancy placing my bet on a draw and hope there is rain on the last day of the match.
If there is no rain, then both teams would have equal chances of winning, however, India might have a slight advantage.

Indian batting failed miserably in the second innings, not even a single one scored 50. India manage to give target of 305 to south africa, thanks to there 130 runs lead. With three down and 230 more runs required, I would say better place bet on India as they have better chances of winning the game.
652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 29, 2021, 03:41:02 PM

looking at the other side
in gambling either you win some money or have some fun

if you approach like that and know when to stop there are no big losses

But in gambling, "the winner is the one who knows when to stop". Usually gamblers keep on playing in lust of fun or to make up losses either way they end up losing money. This is a proven fact worldwide that gambling is not a good addiction, just stay away from it, These are just my few satoshis.
653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who’s who in the gambling subforum? on: December 29, 2021, 10:40:32 AM

Even if you are an expert in any sport and have a lot of knowledge about it, it does not guarantee that all your bets will be successful.

Even with the right predictions of the matches, the match can end up in an upset resulting in the loss of the bet. I only place bets in the matches which are of my interest and usually i like to watch cricket and football matches.

I really like this saying, "Gambling: The sure way of getting nothing for something - Wilson Mizner". In sports gambling there is no certainty about whether you will win or loss no matter how much knowledge you have. See recent Ashes series for instance, majority predicted that it will be won by England but its going other way around.
654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 29, 2021, 10:36:27 AM
I think i have said this before that only long term solution would be to allow more associate member to participate in T-20 WC (24 teams tournament), that's where big bucks are made. There would be chaos at start for sure, in terms of revenue loss and dud fixtures but this could potentially solve some problems, as far as self sustainability by smaller boards and spreading the game are concern.

There are 32 teams in FIFA WC and with few exception all are up to standard of playing the WC. In cricket level of associate teams are too low, there matches with test playing team is of no match. See recent T20 WC, there is hardly any noticeable performance from associate team like Scotland, Oman etc.
655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: December 29, 2021, 07:08:47 AM

You are confusing two things here. Rahul dravid will take the money as an Indian coach and he won't work for free. He is a professional and will take money for any service he does for the Indian team. but the above discussion was about the Rahul dravid playing for Scotland and in those days he did not take any fee. I hope this clears both statements.

This is interesting about Rahul Dravid and thanks for clarifying this issue. As a player his stats are phenomenal, in 286 test innings he has average of 52 and 318 ODI innings his average is 39. Lets see how he transfer his skills to Indian team who right now is struggling because of row b/w there ex captain and BCCI.
656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 29, 2021, 07:04:04 AM

Mate, It's really not easy to have things normal because in last few years hate business is doing good for all politicians, so hopes are ended, and just ICC is having few events where these can play but in bilateral now it's all end. Kashmir is the biggest issue and no one want to withdraw from this, so It's going to be nothing good in favour of peoples from these two countries. Secondly now recently statements from extreme Hindu groups heating this all.

AFAIk Kashmir is the main cause of tension for both Pakistan and India for last 50 years (thanks to England for creating another problem in the world). But Pakistan and India are playing in 90s and 2000s, it seems like tension is high because of current governments. So its people who will suffer by not watching this interesting series.

I know and understand cricket only and post mainly in Cricket threads. On Cricket forum I am greatly impressed by knowledge of @Sithara007. She is a lady from South Asia and her posts are worthy to read. Whenever I post, I read what she wrote and sometimes her guidance has made me win big in cricket.
658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: December 29, 2021, 06:55:43 AM

In England there are almost all kinds of sports including football and rugby. At the same time they also participated in the Olympics and won many medals. Football is more popular in England than cricket. The ECB should take steps to increase the popularity of cricket. Otherwise, they will not be able to find talented and experienced players for the national team after a while.

That's not the case in England. Developed countries don't only focus on one sport only. See case of Australia they play every sport like football, rugby and have good presence at Olympics. Cricket is major sports in under developed countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri lanka.

Meanwhile 3rd test of Ashes has completely taken over discussion here and no one talking about India/SA test match. Match is in interesting phase with major chances of India winning the game.
659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: December 29, 2021, 06:47:10 AM

Kohli's behaviour has been consistently like this whether he is off the field or in the field. What can you expect from him? He just came out shown the world what happens when your ego takes control over your decision-making capabilities. This was the primary reason why India had not won any major tournament under his captaincy. He is a good batter but it does not mean India cannot find a talent better than him this issue will hit him hard when the time comes.

As long as he was Captain of Indian team in all format, everything was going fine but as soon as he is stripped off from Captaincy he started this behavior. Of course such behavior can only be seen when you are removed from power. BCCI should make sure that no one in there team is indispensable. Kohli is good player but that doesnt mean he cant be replaced.
660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: December 28, 2021, 05:54:17 PM

Here all statements are good about India and Pakistan relationship have no sympathy from anyone, and sadly we are not good enough to do things like UEFA which is the worst part of this area.

I agree that we have no change in next 5 to 10 years and this is not talk able because no party wants to have soft policy for other side, specially now as India is having more control in ICC. Finances are having very big impact in current covid-19 era and India will never allow giving any benefit to them and ICC can't do anything, it's just PCB who has to settle thing for there survive in cricket community.

So we will not see Pak India bilateral series in coming 5 to 10 years. BCCI is getting so much money they can easily sacrifice series with india. Even IPL has zero impact on Pakistan exclusion. Bitter reality is that both pak and India are willing to maintain relations with others but not willing to help each other.
