641  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: in between the decision to hold or sell on: May 09, 2021, 09:00:41 AM
having a conversation with a friend today , he was asking me if he should sell or hold a coin. i didnt give a straight answer, i just told him the project is a good one that can do well but if you are willing to wait then you can hold but if you need some money then you can sell off. he then replied that he will wait for an additional 25% increase before he would sell off. i think i tried my best to let him make his final decision himself. is there any better way to do this? if it were you, how would you respond to this. ??
Well, holding and selling would always rely on what coin you are currently investing with. If that coin is currently in a bull run, therefore holding would be a better idea because the chances of having your investment increasing is very more likely to happen but if the coin seens to be experiencing a massive dump as you observe the price movement, selling would be able to save you a lot of money for sure. It is actually a risk once you enter investment in crypto, you cannot always get the right guess and you will make mistakes sometimes so be careful on your decision making so you can avoid having regrets.
642  Economy / Economics / Re: Money Is Political, Not Technical on: May 09, 2021, 08:35:40 AM
Money is politics, but what isn't? We face the same sorts of things here when it comes to politics, as more people that control the miners, exchanges, and so on and so forth are able to control MANY things when it comes to the community itself. Politics is everywhere, and even though there are some problems that follow that it's not like there's anything we can do about it. That's how the world works.

People still support the traditional system of money because it works, and they don't see any issues with it. Politics isn't an issue to people. Or at least a prevalent one in their entire life is plagued with it.  Different reasoning must be attempted.
Indeed, money ain't the only that is politics. Almost everthing we see within a certain country is full of politics, from the aid they give when there are natural disasters, the infrastractures they build and the media where we gather the news of the events happening each day. Fiat is clearly under the government's control and roughly everything that happens and changes they make on it is always for their benefit. I disagree that politics isn't an issue to the people most specially if you are living in a third world country.
643  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How future applications would be !? on: May 09, 2021, 07:45:20 AM
What do you think about the future? What do you think about the most successful blockchain applications? What ideas might be formed?
How is it possible to make entertainment - social application with help of blockchain? i need some example.
As continuous innovations take place, more and more technological advancement will surely be made. When it comes to what will blockchain do in the future, there are surely a lot of possibilities like seeing it getting merged not only for the mode of payments but also in the field of entertainment. As of now, there are already plenty of games thay involves the use of blockchain technology and many are patronizing it considering the benefits and enjoyment they get from it. It's as if they are earning while enjoying at the same time which caused more attraction to those who don't want to experience boredom whilst working.
644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on the rise: Sell or HODL? on: May 08, 2021, 11:00:05 AM
It looks like Ethereum is on a non-stop road towards success as people keep pouring money into it like crazy. With several upcoming upgrades on the Ethereum blockchain, things will only get better for the native "Ether" cryptocurrency. Day by day, I'm tempted to sell all of my ETH holdings for profit. But some are saying that ETH will be worth $5k or even $10k in the future. This makes me wonder whenever now it's a good time to sell or continue "hodling" until ETH reaches the aforementioned price range.

If you were in my position, what would you do? Would you sell all of your ETH during the current bullish market? Or will you "hodl" and wait until it goes to $5k - $10k? Do you think ETH's current prices are sustainable? If not, why? Any suggestions, or recommendations will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley
Most of the time, the price movement of ETH goes with BTC but it has been clear that lately it wasn't able to follow its footsteps. It would be much adviceable to hodl right now since Ethereum has the potential of growing more this time unlike before. Just like any other investment in crypto, at some point it is much better to hold so that it would keep on growing but be aware of the price movement before doing so. At some point, you need to sell to avoid losing more of your investment but for ETH's situation right now where the value is increasing, it is much better to hold.
645  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: bull market end on: May 08, 2021, 09:33:08 AM
so when do you guys think this bull market is going to end.  I'm kinda balls deep in crypto, and I've make some pretty amazing returns.  But im just wondering if any of you guys think this bull run will end anytime soon.
It's quite pretty exhausting seeing threads talking about the end of this bull run when we should be focusing on our investments at the moment while it is still ongoing. Considering the corrections that occured within bitcoin and the new ATH it achieved consecutively, we can already see that this bull run is far from getting over. This bull run won't end anytime soon so let us find better altcoins and watch over our tradings so that we can make the most of this wonderful season. Also, watch over the price movements so that we can have a clue if the bull run is close into ending.
646  Economy / Economics / Re: April 2021 set a new record India. How much effect in Indian economy? on: May 08, 2021, 08:45:10 AM
Considering how hard the pandemic hit them, it will definitely affect their economy in the present and in the future. It was actually caused by their complaisance after having everything under control. They thought it would be fine to loosen up the tight health protocols and as the outcome, a new strand of the virus existed which appeared to be much more epidemic compared to the present ones. Dead bodies are being cremated in masses and just imagin how aweful the smell it will be producing. Most of their hospitals falls short of oxygen and their rooms are getting filled as other patients fails to be accomodated.
647  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Safe with bitcoin? on: May 08, 2021, 07:21:14 AM
Today we are experiencing a virus and that is the coronavirus or the NCov19 that is becoming pandemic immediately in just a single week and today there are a lot of people still going outside even there is a quarantine. The reason why? They need to go outside just to buy foods and things they need and also pay their bills they are prone to the virus also the virus can now be attached to the tangible things like money if they are already infected and touch the money with the virus it is rapidly spreading immediately. And today it is good to introduce the use of cryptocurrency or the bitcoin using online payment because it is more faster and secured they don't need to go outside too to pay other things they need and it is better if we are spreading those information so they can now made online payment and let's stop spreading of virus.
No matter how much we want to introduce bitcoin to the world and take advantage of this pandemic upon showing how digital transactions could help us evade the possibility of getting the virus, it is still too complex and difficult to happen. Just with the fact that the government doesn't tolerate the use of it yet, the existence of E-payments are already there just like in the Philippines where such like Paymay, Gcash and other more are already present in aiding the non-physical transactions. Bitcoin would more likely work as a safe haven of your investment wherein if you want to secure your future in the post-pandemic era, you can try hodling and trading in bitcoin.
648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Musk is going to hurt the Crypto Industry, sign this petition on: May 07, 2021, 04:57:22 PM
Surely, Elon Musk has the capability to disturb the price movement in the market but he can only do that for specific coins. We cannot expect him and he would probably not invest on too many coins because that will be detrimental on his side at some point. Even we would sign the petition you've made, we are against a billionaire who has a net worth that's continuously increasing over the years. Also, sooner or later, this influence he is making will fade afterwards after some time so all we can do for now is wait, endure and watch as we're no match against him.
649  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [DOGE] Dogecoin looks ready for a little gamble on: May 07, 2021, 04:23:42 PM
I just put a  little  money in that coin, the chart looks like it follows to the perfection the infamous "Wall Street cheat sheet".

Just compare and think what could happen around next summer?

Anyone in?

 Wink
It was very clear how people saw Dogecoin way back many years ago as a dead coin. We can see how essential time is for crypto. Before, its value vividly seems to be something that would not make it even at $1 but now it made it with the help of Elon Musk's advertisements of it on twitter. Just like how it happened with bitcoin before, even though we cannot really compare bitcoin to dogecoin, it started with a very low price and many doubtful minds but look how far and how high bitcoin has gone, it is really sensational isn't it? So it's not a bad thing to take a gamble on a coin that was once deemed as dead but now is very much alive in the market.
650  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Incorporating BTC the way forward for most companies? on: May 07, 2021, 03:52:51 PM
At some point, those company are trying to outlook the future by predicting that sooner or later, crypto or mainly bitcoin would be a legal mode of payment and will be revolutionalize. We've seen Tesla buying large stock of bitcoin and started incorportaing bitcoin as one of their mode of payment because they are aware on how beneficial it will be for them in the near future. They saw that bitcoin has the potential of helping their financial state become stable or advanced that's why we can see a lot of companies involving bitcoin or other crypto within their field of work.
651  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Burning of cryptocurrency on: May 07, 2021, 03:26:40 PM
The statement "burning of cryptocurrency" means stabilizing a certain coin in order to avoid too much inflation and increase the demand resulting to a higher value. It is usually done by the coin maker wherein they will send it to a default address and as it gets transacted to that address, the coins will automatically burn or cease to exist. It is more likely reducing the total coins being exclusive to investors or traders which will more likely result into a better outcome as time passes by. Since we can also apply the law of demand in supply here in crypto, as the supply falls down there will be higher chance that the demand will increase.
652  Economy / Economics / Re: The Modern Mode of Payments on: May 07, 2021, 12:17:37 PM
We cannot compare the use of cryptocurrency to the e-payments you've mentioned. Just in term of decentralization, the two are different from each other since e-payments are definitely under the control of the government. When it comes to crypto, it is not yet legal for most of the countries unlike the e-payments that is being used considering the pandemic going on. Also, when it comes to volatility, e-payments doesn't have one since the currency being transacted there are just mere fiat. Both are convenient but obviously e-payments would rule more since it is quite required and much more well-known compared to cryptocurrencies.
653  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving asset in bitcoin is much more better than saving in banks on: May 07, 2021, 11:38:47 AM
I just got to find out the importance of saving asset in bitcoin. As of last year October I just decided to split my savings into two and used half of it to buy bitcoin then took half to bank and deposited as fixed deposit which means I won't be taking the money for a period of time and bank will in return be giving me little percentage which I will take as profit, recently I tried comparing the profit I get from both bank and bitcoin, I found out the profit I got from bank is way low compared to what I got from bitcoin, then I decided to stop keeping my assets  in banks rather I keep it in bitcoin which later turns out to be an investment for me.
Both has different features why people are choosing to invest on such. For bitcoin, the volatility is much higher as well as the possibility that your money will continually grow in it. For banks, your money is growing but it is too stable that's why the progress of your money growing is much slower compared to bitcoin. Investing in bitcoin comes a great risk since there is a chance of dumping wherein the money you put inside it might go down together with bitcoin's value while in banks, there are less risk but less benefits also. You are free to choose wherever you feel comfortable just make sure you are responsible and wise with your decisions.
654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: April is the real alt season on: May 06, 2021, 06:00:28 PM
The month of April indeed shown up close as an alt season but the things happening to different altcoins this month are trying to tell us that May might be the real alt season. Elon Musk is still tweeting about Dogecoin which attracts more investors towards it resulting on having a better price than the usual. Ethereum is also regaining its good reputation as well as BNB at the moment. There are a few altcoins left that are making huge successes at the moment so all of the things happening could be an indication that May is the real alt season but regardless, let us all keep our focus on our investments specially on altcoins, we wouldn't want to miss any good news about it.
655  Economy / Economics / Re: If Something is cheap you Buy it Buy the dips on: May 06, 2021, 05:05:11 PM
Careless buying just because a certain coin is experiencing a deep would only lead you to regrets on the latter part. Instead of focusing on dips, maybe it would be much better if you will watch the price movement in the market and at the same time, look at the coins that are experiencing dips as they are currently included on the trend. Do not buy all the cheap coins you see, instead buy only the cheap coins that has the potential of pumping hard as time passes by. At some point, if you will buy all the cheap coins you see in the market, some will eventually turn into a shitcoin or remain on a low value so be careful what cheap coin you are buying always.
656  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My feelings after 11 years with crypto. on: May 06, 2021, 04:40:27 PM
Hello everyone, today i want to tell you about my crypto-depression.
So in 2010 i was working in IT company and my friend from work told me about bitcoin mining.
Next day after this information i register on this forum and start mining coins, everything going perfect but bitcoin price was really low and unstable.
I was investing everything in gpu. Couple times i lost my fund's on scam-exchange but i still had a lot of "mining power".
In 2015 i quited my job and invest my whole savings in bitcoin, in that time i had more than 15 bitcoin's and gpu worth 20k$.
And after 2 or 3 week's everything fucked up, in same time i lost my job and my wife get sicked.
In Nov 2015 i selled everything but still i had -$$$$ to pay, so you probably asking why i made this post?

Now after 6 years i have biggest depression ever, if i only burrow money from somewhere 5 years ago and didnt sell my miners...

I have feelings that i lost my biggest life chance to get really rich and i just want to forget about crypto and work in normal work but it is impossible.
It's hurt much more if you can see that your old crypto-friend's get cars and houses from crypto profit, i wonder if someone have some feeling's as me.

You have been blessed upon learning about bitcoin from the year 2010 where you even started mining right away. You made bad decisions that did not appear as a bad one on that time, through that you can already see how essential time is for bitcoin. What you're selling today might look like a big win but just after few years, you would surely consider yourself as a loser as you failed to hold instead. We feel your regrets and pain, you could have been an instant billionaire if only you were able to predict or have faith with bitcoin even on the days where its value is still very low. For now, you can just keep on mining or trading and leave out the regret, you still have a shot on becoming rich.
657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin is good. It’s hard to persuade parents to invest in it. on: May 06, 2021, 04:15:36 PM
Crypto is not popular in my homeland. People in my homeland love to invest stocks and bonds. And real estate is the most popular investment. Only few people invest in crypto. My dad loves to invest in stocks but he seldom has a positive net income from the stock market. It’s the fact that crypto is a better tool to earn money, especially for the Altcoin. Then., I try to persuade my dad to invest in Eth and BNB. They’re worth to invest. Take myself as a good example, I spent the weekly pocket money on my first Eth two years ago and earn more than 10X of money. It seems that Eth is still going up in the future. It’s a good investment during this economic recession period. I tried my very best to persuade my dad to buy Altcoin like Eth and BNB but he thought that crypto was very risky and unreliable at all. Investing in crypto is the best way to earn money in this economic recession. It means that my family loses the chance to become rich since my dad does not invest in crypto.
It’s hard to persuade those middle-aged people to invest in crypto. Do you think so?

Well, you should atleast know that crypto is not the only way you can get rich in life. Respect your parent's decisions towards crypto but make sure first that you thoroughly discuss to them how things work for altcoins or bitcoin. Indeed, crypto is one of the easiest way you can become rich but it can also impose risk as it is also the fastest way to become broke or penniless. Be smart with the coins you are investing with, do not just simply go with the trend instead look it up yourself so that you wouldn't regret it in the end. Just be patient, who knows maybe as altcoins get more recognized, your father might end up asking you about it and how he can start investing on it.
658  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: $1?$10?$100?What will the price of $Doge be? on: May 06, 2021, 03:50:11 PM
Dogecoin has been gaining much attention as it gets advertised by Elon Musk. If ever the promotion would keep on going, there is a huge possibility that doge's value will keep on increasing in the next few years. On the other hand, doge has been very late in the game and the sudden pump of its value will definitely give off a sudden downfall someday that might disappoint its investors. If Elon Musk's advertisement would not be able to reach out plenty investors to make the coin successful, the worse outcome may occur wherein the value of dogecoin might go down hard as it pumped up so much at the beginning.
659  Economy / Economics / Re: The change in buying and selling in society is the effect of the internet on: May 06, 2021, 03:25:30 PM
The way things were done in the past have changed from what it is. In the area of buying and sell especially, you can stay in your house and do all your shopping all because of the availability of the internet. Before this time, the internet was majorly used for sending of email and other short and non elaborate internet activities but all that has changed to real marketing online.
This has changed the economic system in no small extent that people prefer not to go to the market physically but go stay back home and in there comfort do the buying and selling.

Is the internet making people lazy or what do you think?
One of my professor once told me about one of the essence of research and it was for the convenience of everyone. Knowing that internet and technology are fruits of millions or billions of research just to make it effective, we can already say that the internet offers convenience and revolution towards our old ways. At some point, we can say that the internet makes us lazy but we can reason it out through showing how easier things can be done with the help of the internet so why struggle on an old-school way. We don't need to get stuck and do things with struggle just because we find internet as a tool that makes us lazy, we are free to enjoy the outcome of the researches made beforehand.
660  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can bitcoin be hijacked by world billionaires??? on: May 06, 2021, 02:59:50 PM
It makes no sense that billionaires would end up having interest on hijacking bitcoin. Even though they wouldn't commit such felony, they cab influence the market as much as they want. Just take a look at how much impact Elon Musk made in the market, even bitcoin was affected together with dogecoin. Instead of hijacking it, they will probably just make their money grow much more with the help of bitcoin and everyone who will go against their plan will surely recieve the least benefit from crypto. Bitcoin can still show its dominance by not being hijacked or hacked by the richest individuals in the world but on the other hand, they can manipulate its price for sure.
