661  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you cheat in gambling? on: June 24, 2023, 11:16:26 PM
Gambling is fun, it is money and this is kind of addiction. Even the person who doesn't gamble much have got an excitement when they're to gamble. So, everyone into gambling is kind of addicted, which means controlled addiction. There is nothing to cheat with gambling, because we may get a chance to cheat and win. Tomorrow what we had win will go into the pockets of the casino. Majority are into gambling for the money it provides. So, cheat, insider information, fixed matches shouldn't be considered big. Just enjoy and move on.
662  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: June 24, 2023, 11:08:51 PM
I think people don't understand that there is no strategy in gambling. Gamble but consider your spendings on it as an entertainment expense. Got luck on your side and won? Good. If you don't you still had fun.

I don't really agree with your statement. It's true that gambling is all about luck, if our luck is good we win, otherwise we lose, it's that simple. But that's not entirely the case, because gambling also requires strategy, especially with regard to poker, soccer matches, and several other games. It also requires strategy and analysis, because many people have done something like this and they have succeeded in getting their profit. You can also search for some references on Google about strategies in gambling, there are many references that you can find about how to implement strategies in a game. So gambling also requires a strategy to win.

Yes, in gambling and sports betting strategy makes sense but none of the strategies can guarantee a win. In my opinion correctly chosen strategy can increase the time of the game session and even increase the probability of winning, but luck plays a major role, so if you are unlucky, no matter what strategy you have chosen you will still lose. Don't chase the winnings and then you will enjoy gambling.
Indeed. House always wins, no matter how many strategies we employ. Even in skill-based games like sports betting, luck plays a significant role, but your last sentence does not sound like me. I'm only playing for the profit, and I'll only have fun if I win. There is nothing else.
House always have its edge, of not what for is the gambling platform sites were run. Through some means there needs to be revenue, and this is assured with the house edge. With gambling we should have our limits and we should know the proper exit. This will help in staying without much of loss. As said in all means the gambling activity is much dependent on luck unlike the skills. So to be successful out of gambling you need to be skilled as well as lucky. Strategies never assure of the winning.
663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 23, 2023, 11:33:55 PM
You cannot expect Associate countries to challenge a full member team especially in ODI, they will be competitive against teams like UAE, Papua New Guinea, Namibia, Netherlands or United States but to expect them to play a competitive match against Sri Lanka or West Indies as these are the two full member teams looking for a World Cup spot and i am not expecting any upset from these associate nations.
Yesterday Nepal had a very decent match against West Indies. They conceded 339 runs in 50 runs, but to their credit they got to a total of 238 while batting second. But today Oman was just pathetic. They got bundled out for just 98 runs and Sri Lanka chased the target with 35 overs and 10 wickets to spare. And despite all this, Oman is all set to qualify for the Super-6 stage. BTW, Ireland (one of the full members) have been the biggest disappointment of this tournament so far. In the first match they lost to Oman, and in the second match they went down against Scotland.

Oman lost all wickets today for just 98 runs. As we got good performances from Oman players in the previous two matches. So no one thought that Sri Lanka will dominate today's match. But Sri Lanka reached the target of victory without losing any wickets in just 15 overs. Oman is playing well in Group B. At the same time, Scotland's performance is also quite good. Scotland won both matches and so it is much more difficult for Oman to qualify for the World Cup. Oman lost the truck very badly.
Looking at Oman's previous matches, I thought the two teams would fight hard in this match. But I had no idea that Oman would play so badly in this match. Based on the performance of the previous matches, I bet in favor of Oman. However, many gamblers lost huge amounts of money by betting on Oman in this match. Such low scoring matches in ODI games are really annoying. The players of the Oman team disappointed the Oman fans in this match
The highest score from the players of Oman were 41, 21, 13 runs. Rest were mere 1 and 0. The bowling from Hasaranga is impressive to take five wickets for 13 runs with the economy of 1.77 rpo. This time Sri Lanka is very clear with their plans. They doesn't want to take chance or risk, for that reason we can see the performance from Sri Lanka at their best. Same is with West Indies, because if they didn't get qualified for the World Cup this will be surely a big downfall for them.
664  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: June 23, 2023, 11:28:45 PM
One among the industry that experienced a big rise in the market out of COVID is the gambling industry. During the time of COVID people were shut within their homes. Those moments helped the online gambling platforms to attract them and find whether they're lucky enough to win something. Those participants now continue to be regular gamblers. Apart, the technology have been very supportive with the development of different advancement in gambling. How good this gonna be is unknown, but heavy investment from the leading ventures were taking place to grab the gambling market.
665  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Bitcoin market is back on track on: June 23, 2023, 11:24:53 PM
As the market have bounced from the range around $26k, now people have begun to have discussion that bitcoin could go high above $40k and so on. Maybe this could happen, but considering the ongoing events relative to bitcoin and upon the upcoming halving we can't expect the fast movement at the earliest. To reach the peak price from a higher price point is different from moving from the bottom. In my understanding the price will slowly move within the $30k - $35k range for a longer time period. Even if it drops down to $25k it isn't a big surprise.
666  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 23, 2023, 11:21:17 PM
Seeing the thread title is just hilarious.
You know, I think I saw this on someone's WhatsApp status from my contact a month ago or something and here it is as a thread.

Anyway, no doubt the cost of living has got many in most parts of the world hanging by a thread. Most of the low income earners and those that live around the minimum wage. Even the rich as well are feeing a little bit of it buy somehow, humanity has always been known to survive. Luckily, trying to kill the living doesn't mean killing the living.
It's for a time and humanity will always strive.
Humanity is the one that is leading the lives of millions of people around the world. We think it is the third World countries that have got affected by the inflation and the increased cost of living. Scenario is almost same throughout the world. I was surprised to see the impact on some European countries, particularly on Germany. People are depending on the food and other supplies distributed by the NGO and other organisations. In that I came across a person stating that he never expected I'll stand in a queue for the food and groceries to fulfill my need. If I don't I may end up homeless and out of food. He particularly says that the power bill is killing them.
667  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the right time to buy bitcoin before the halving? on: June 23, 2023, 11:16:36 PM
We can't be sure of a certain time period as the right one to experience success out of buying bitcoin. Based on what I've come across whenever there is crash in the market we should have the understanding to invest what we were able to do. This can be small fund or big, which isn't a matter. Because people used to regret after they miss opportunities. When the market used to experience a downfall, they find this to be fearful and stay away from investing. When it comes to bitcoin one should have the trust as well as the ability to hold with patience.
668  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin is legalized, a dream of mine would come true on: June 22, 2023, 11:59:38 PM
More countries that had a negative opinion on the cryptocurrency have moved on legalizing it based on the people's interest. Maybe in the future Bangladesh could make some positive move with cryptocurrency legalizing. Compared to the past years it looks like Bangladesh isn't that against the usage. Earlier the country used to arrest people, if they're found handling cryptocurrencies. Everything needs time to settle down. In some countries they prefer the blockchain technology and doesn't encourage cryptocurrency usage. Everything will change over time and on need.
669  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Investors Confidence in Bitcoin💪 on: June 22, 2023, 11:49:42 PM
We don't know what exactly would happen, but everyone expect something big with every halving. The market also never disappoints, because we'll see good rise in the market around the days of halving or soon after that. One who had experienced the goodness of Bitcoin will never feel down with cryptocurrency investment. The confidence level can be seen even higher with the long term holders, because it is like a proven statement that bitcoin assure long term profit.
670  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 22, 2023, 11:11:55 PM
Although at times I thought Nepal would lose all wickets before 200. But your guess is somewhat correct. Nepal was defeated by a margin of 101 runs. This is not a bad result for Nepal. At least I think so. This team is not very old in cricket. They have little experience playing against big teams. Still, they put up a good fight. Had the bowlers been able to perform a bit better, today's match would have been much more competitive. My expectations from Nepal will be a bit higher in the next Asia Cup.
West Indies set a huge target as a target of 339 runs in ODIs is a huge score.  The bowlers in Nepal's team were quite weak due to which West Indies managed to score such a big score. yes I also thought that Nepal might not cross 200 runs but they managed to score 238 runs. However, it was a small score in the ODI match but it was very big for Nepal. Nepal won the last ODI match against United State by 6 wickets as United State set Nepal a target of just 207 runs that day.  But Nepal could not compete with West Indies players as they were enough strong

West Indies were easily predicted to win after being given a huge target of 340 runs. Basically the West Indies and Sri Lanka teams are much stronger than the teams playing in the World Cup qualifiers. I think these two teams will qualify for the World Cup unchallenged. West Indies got a great win by 101 runs today. They will play against Zimbabwe in the next match. And this match is going to be tough for West Indies. Because Zimbabwe is in very good form now. Zimbabwe picked up wins against the Netherlands and Nepal.
The teams are much stronger as we'll as they've taken it seriously. Even some small mistakes happening inbetween would make them into some risky business. Nepal is much expected, even now the performance isn't that bad against a team like West Indies. As said Sri Lanka and West Indies will qualify for the world cup who have already won world cups. Zimbabwe and Nepal is predicted to be the tough contender, but this time it doesn't look to work.
671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you find it offensive to be referred to as an addicted gambler? on: June 22, 2023, 11:07:23 PM
Addiction is a common thing, and people take it hard. When you have the mind to accept that you're addicted, then you're willing to change. This is the truth behind addiction. With our gambling activities we're well aware of our activities, but we hesitate to accept that we're addicted. Indicating my gambling activities different from a common gambler and say you're addicted, then surely I'll accept it.
672  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is Inflation Happening All Over the World At Once? on: June 22, 2023, 11:03:14 PM
Through the trade, import and export every economy is connected to each other. This means everyone have got the advantage and better money making on some products. When this gets affected the entire budget gets affected. This is a major cause. Another thing is the additional need, based on the budget the allocation for specific need will be specific amount, but the inflation doesn't let this to be fulfilled. This also causes additional money requirement. So, the planned money flow won't happen and more compromise takes place. From COVID every country have affected with its supply and the money shortage have arisen. Some countries kept printing currencies and that causes heavy inflation.
673  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: June 20, 2023, 11:59:30 PM
Alcaraz v Rinderknech was a very entertaining match today. Alcaraz lost the first set 4:6 but then managed to win 7:5 and finally won the deciding set on a tie-break 7:6. The Frenchman was using his nice and powerful serve a lot, he also played serve and volley and lots of net play in general. This tactics was genius and Alcaraz mostly couldn't come up with any successful response. In the tie-breaker, Alcaraz proved he's world's #2 for a reason getting into the lead 6:1 and eventually winning 7:3.
That's an incredible comeback and it proves the ability of Alcaraz. The young man tries to understand well about the court in the first set and makes his moves accordingly. This time Alcaraz had struggled hard to beat Rinderknech, and I'm sure the competence from Rinderknech will keep him prepared to face other players.

Meanhile in Birmingham, 43yo(!!!) Venus Williams won her first round match against Camilla Giorgi. It's unbelievable how Venus can be competitive at this age! I've heard somewhere it's her first 1st round win in 2 years time! Impressive. Cool Unfortunately, there was a nasty incident during the match, when Venus fell down and Giorgi yelled "come on".  Shocked
After a long break she gave her entry in the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships. Here she lost the match to Celine Naef after winning the first set. She is really great to play at this age, and how her fitness is supporting. In the next match she is to play against Ostapenko. This is going to be really though for Venus as the contender is one among the strongest and young player.
674  Economy / Economics / Re: Methods to cut food costs on: June 20, 2023, 11:56:10 PM
~
Currently, I am on a business trip, and these days I eat out because I am not good at cooking and do not want to spend a lot of time cooking. I agree with what you said, cooking ourselves and small portions don't save us much. But another advantage when cooking for yourself is that you can eat the food you like, and more importantly, it is more hygienic than restaurants and sidewalks. I've had to eat out for 3 weeks, but I still haven't had a meal that really brings my appetite, and that makes my body sick and tired.
Cooking ourselves will surely cut cost, I've personally experienced it. If you've got few more people to support, then surely it'll bring down the expense and the work load(if cooked) drastically. When consumed outside as a group we'll get variety as well as price will be low. I've travelled abroad once, and during the travel whenever I eat seperately atleast $5 is required. When we eat as a group of 3-4, it doesn't exceed $2 to $3. Unlike the location and quantity preparation of food cuts cost.
675  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin become The General Currency in the Future? on: June 20, 2023, 11:44:34 PM
According to evolution of money, trade was first done with the barter system, then it evolved to commodity money using Gold and it's kind, then into metal coins then paper money, later transactions where done with plastic cards, before it's evolved into electronic money and now crypto currency.
About years ago El Salvador became the first country to adopt Bitcoin as a legal tender and there are speculations that other countries would also adopt it in the nearest future now my question is, with bitcoin being the leading crypto currency is there a tendency that it would become the generally used currency worldwide?

As you have said, money evolved from various forms till this point were we are now. Currently, we are at the digital stage and as time goes on, new discoveries would emanate making some forms obsolete.

Bitcoin is currently the new form of money gaining recognition and according to the whitepaper it is the peoples orientated money whereby no one has control over it. Satoshi invented it and handed it over to the masses to use it as their alternative source of payment which many bought in the idea and since then, millionaires been made, bitcoin is been accepted by nations, businesses etc are thriving on bitcoin and gradually, bitcoin is becoming more popular and stronger.
Bitcoin as a new form of currency have gained acceptance in some part of the world. This means there is no legal support from all the countries. To achieve legality from all the country will take lot many time. It have got adopted as their currency in El Salvador. They're bold enough to make the decision. Every country won't do it. Compared to the past now people were able to spend bitcoin directly. Over time the transition will happen when governments start understanding the real potential behind bitcoin.
676  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is the best career for women on: June 20, 2023, 11:36:45 PM
  • Bitcoin have got multiple usage. The reason behind the innovation is to serve as an alternative to fiat
  • As it have got value, this is given importance for earning. This is why people misunderstood as career
  • Bitcoin is a transaction source, with which we were able to make daily transactions
  • It can be considered as career, for this we should have the learning(coding, development and related things)
  • It acts the way we take it, and perform according. We should have the understanding to function with it
677  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who is to be blamed, the gambler or the betting agent on: June 19, 2023, 11:03:30 PM
The worker at your sight will settle the betting shop owner, if that's the only Shop available in that locality for gambling needs. The gambler is addicted, if not he could've left once after the loss. What he had done is kind of borrowing to gamble. Here the mistake is with the gambling shop owner, because he had tempted the person to gamble and made him loss.

To the OP, If you get an opportunity to ask a question to the gambling shop owner please ask the below question.
You've given credit to gamble, if he had won big will you not ask for the winning amount?? If so, he should take part in the loss too.
678  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A hilarious video that shows so many persons ignorance about bitcoin on: June 19, 2023, 10:53:26 PM
Just because we know about Bitcoin, it looks different for us. With common people whom hadn't known about bitcoin will find the reality in the video. This won't be surprising for them. Another thing, these days more videos were of staged ones. We can't expect the same to have genuinity. The best part of the video, it makes more people watching it go find what is bitcoin. Atleast in this manner the videos are helping in the widespread. Even the technology people aren't aware about bitcoin and its existence, then how things could be in a better position with people who are working on different streams.
679  Economy / Economics / Re: The cost of living is trying to kill the living on: June 19, 2023, 10:28:30 PM

I think it is not "that" different in most of other nations as well, not really that different in my country too. The logic is that if you are making a salary, then you shouldn't be able to live a great life, it just doesn't or will probably never happen. I think it is quite important to just focus on what you could do with it, and learn how you could get out.

There is a reason why there are so many authors from so many different nations that keep on writing books about how you could make more money if you got out of the 9-5 lifestyle. Sure maybe yours is worse than others, but doesn't make other nations a great place to live with a salary neither, believe me because I know millions even tens of millions having debt and barely surviving in my nation as well.

Since we do not compare the two countries here of course I cannot say that your comment is wrong but at least as far as I know, if Turkey and many other countries are to be compared unfortunately it would not be right to say that it is in the same situation with other countries because it is more difficult for the people of Turkey to live due to the economy getting worse day by day. Of course, regardless of the country anyone working with a salary cannot live a very good or high quality life today because salaries have become incredibly low in today's conditions.
It isn't the same situation all around. Everywhere people were affected much out of the inflation and other problems that arise out of inflation. Based on the percentage of impact the changes can be experienced on people's living. In my understanding the impact of inflation and other economic issues have hit the urban population higher than the rural population. Because the urban population is much dependent for food and everything and the salary too comes out of corporate. With rural population they're mostly self reliant and this doesn't have much impact over the living style.
680  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2022/2023 on: June 19, 2023, 09:54:21 PM
The next season for the competition is going to be really tough because some top Saudi teams have showed interest in many players currently playing in Europe and most of them are satisfied with the offers coming for them. Gradually, the unknown Saudi team is already getting media attention and following after Ronaldo join the Al-Nassr team last season. Many people assumes it’s about money most of the players are joining those teams, if that’s the reason, then it’s still okay. But I’m certain that very soon the league will no more be about that but will be a tough competitive league amongst others.
Ronaldo's move to Al Nasser was a tremendous grab for Saudi, and I believe it opened the door for great clubs in the league to begin making acquisitions from European football. After all, the Saudi Arabia league has what it takes to hit harder next season. Saudi clubs have been proactive in the transfer window, influencing the minds of footballers who want to generate significant figures for themselves by signing them. I don't appreciate the league since it continually deals with finances, a player can play out of personal ambition, always play for great clubs in Saudi, rewriting the story of football giants.

When you doesn't have the right reason and the popularity to attract the popular figures, money have its role. This is how Saudi have prioritised money to attract the popular players into the league. The country is on the bid for the football 2030 and it doesn't want to fail as China and that's the reason it is making itself strong with the domestic setup and the leagues. Saudi Arabia Pro League have got big history, and now only it have reached the world. For betterment more foreign players need to be added. Lets wait and see whether players are passionate about spreading football around the world same as Ronaldo or not.
