The Irony
Giving all your personal information for the sake of KYC, in a forum related to cryptocurrencies where privacy has more value than most of the other niches.
Soon users will ask "Why no GDPR on BitcoinTalk?"

Personally, I don't participate in ICO so I am not concerned but if I was I wouldn't give my personal info to be stored on the forum server with the risk to get the same event that we saw back in 2015. I wouldn't give to a bounty manager or ICO's website either
6603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: VISA has collapsed on: June 03, 2018, 07:29:09 PM
Bitcoin can't replace credit card now. There are issues like, scalability, confirmations time, transaction fees.
So no one is accepting bitcoin as payment, price is too volatile.

Maybe lighting network can help but im not sure if it could solve all the issues about it.

Lightening network can only solve the transaction confirmation speed problem but until bitcoin's price is stable, which quite possible will never happen, we wont see mass adoption. Imagine if a business collects $200,000.00 at the start of the week and at the end of the week, its only worth $150,000.00 .losses like that can kill businesses.

Businesses don't create a crap ICO to collect money. And businesses work with fiats. How do you want a business pays the taxes, offices, workers with cryptos.
They borrow money to the banks and refund the funds within 10-20 years, or they already have the funds. Crowdfunding is not so much used but imagine if every new company has to start an ICO to collect funds.....

My salary is 6.2usd per day
The answer to what is motivating these shitbags overall is right here.  The poor, ignorant souls in the Philippines realize they can earn far more by spamming bitcointalk than they can doing manual labor in their country.  There's probably nobody left to do those jobs in that country, because everybody is here on the forum writing nonsense and spamming Facebook and Twitter.

As to why these people are writing this trash in Serious Discussion, my guess is that they're ignorant of what that section is and that they can't advertise in it.  The one I quoted above IS probably trying to get merits, but this is typical of shitposters from this section of the world--they don't realize how bad their English is and what nonsense they're writing.  They get no respect or merit from me.

Edit:  mdayonliner, I do believe you're from the Philippines and you're a rare exception to what I wrote above.  No offense meant to you personally.  This is just something I've observed a lot on bitcointalk.
Some users consider bounty/sig campaigns as a professional career. You can see multiple topics like "Should I leave my job for bounties" "What is the best crypto or regular job" "I am a trader" (whisper: traded 40 bucks once or twice)

Sometimes there are some interesting discussions started but after 3 pages reading the replies (bitcoin is good because the moon, bitcoin gives me full income I believe in crypto because bitcoin is trusted) the discussion is killed. After 5-6 pages reading replies you don't remember what is the topic is about

There are over 100,000 merchants accepting Bitcoin and it keeps growing. How is it no one is accepting bitcoin"?
Volatility price is not even an excuse, because they can get the bitcoins converted to fiat automatically.
Visa also as fees by the way.
6606  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CNBC gave me $1,000 to start a business in 14 days, so I started a crypto line on: June 03, 2018, 05:12:07 PM
It's a good challenge and the charity point is honorable. If I may give some feedback on the website. You really need to improve the website, and I mean a lot. This said I wish you good luck with your project
6607  Economy / Speculation / Re: Today (June 2nd) is the crucial day for end of downtrend on: June 03, 2018, 04:39:06 PM
not to worry we will soon reach $ 8k in the next few days. keep an eye on the state of the market, with circumstances like this we are easy to take advantage.
Personally, I am a pessimist for the next days. I won't be surprised to see the price going under $7,000. Recently <hen the price goes up for some days, it's for going down more after.
I am waiting July and August to see what will happen for Bitcoin
6608  Economy / Economics / Re: Visa card network crashes on: June 03, 2018, 04:20:27 PM
I have been a "victim" of the VISA crash Cheesy. Quite embarrassing when you're at the supermarket and no other payment method to pay...
6.5€ only in my pocket, I was in shame looking like I have no money on my account. I had to back at home to take a bank cheque... I couldn't get cash with the ATM machine.
6609  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: [LIST] Free EU bank accounts that you can be opened directly online on: June 03, 2018, 03:23:32 PM
@Vanquish_PT
Are you using Monese with a crypto company? (i.e to receive payment from a crypto exchange etc)

I'm using for localbitcoins trading only.

I haven't used an exchange with them yet.

But from my experience localbitcoins is worst from a banking POV.

Bunq is a good start-up but really strict with  ID verification; KYC

bunq blocked my account. Not looking good.

If you really have 1 million to transfer out, you wouldn't ask here but rather in a forum related to offshore banking

Do you mean offshorecorptalk or other?

Bunq blocked your account for a transaction related to crypto or something else? It's quite hard to find a neobank agree to deal with transaction related to cryptocurrencies :/
Yes, I mean offshorecorptalk. Or here is a table for offshore banking, the site is not in English but it doesn't matter, most important is the list itself paradisfiscaux20.com/liste-banques-offshore.htm
I don't remember how it is called exactly but remember a lot of countries exchange banks information now, and the countries list is quite big
6610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will bitcoin go under regulation on: June 03, 2018, 02:44:17 PM
Seeing how is the crypto industry currently I don't think there is a need to regulate the market. Perhaps once cryptos become mainstream then "maybe" it will be needed. What we need to consider is that basically cryptocurrencies are created to avoid banks, govt., regulations, etc.
So I would say it goes against the crypto ideology
6611  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: MoonBlox Premium Crypto Clothing on: June 01, 2018, 08:59:18 PM
The Tshirts we usually find are bad quality. I think they buy "Fruit Of the Loom" brand but their quality is not what it was decades ago. Once you washed it 5-6 times the color is faded or the size magically shrink or the graphic is half gone.
I would say the "fuck you paid me" is funny but the one with the captcha is a zero (I am just giving my opinion with honesty)
6612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ZEN] ZenCash: Private, Secure, Resilient CryptoCurrency with zk-SNARKs on: June 01, 2018, 08:09:55 PM
It have been a long time since i checked out zencash, and im impressed by how it is doing both on development and price. Putting together two rigs now with my friends and was going all out on another coin. But considering risk we may go for two coins, and i think zen is the right choice for number two Smiley
They improved a lot and are always improving. Better you follow closely this coin if you don't want to miss a great opportunity. Check out their latest update, WP, etc you will understand  Wink

Yes i have a good feeling about Zen, and have had that for a long time. Been without Zen for too long, and actually agreed with my mate that we will choose Zen for one of the rigs Smiley

You won't be disappointed with them  Smiley
6613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver Apology Video - Give Him Some Credit Please on: June 01, 2018, 07:11:50 PM
Putting down Bitcoin publicly is for only 1 reason for him: his own interest, for money. His attempt to disrupt Bitcoin is also followed by the majority of the BCH community following the same path and using the same method. Will we see all of the BCH trolls apologies in public as well? No. He did it for a very long time now and he doesn't deserve some sympathy for this video

Bitcoin doesn't need Roger Ver to advocate anymore. We are fine without him

True bitcoin does not need Roger Ver but if he backs down from what many seem to be his petty behaviour do you think he should be welcomed back with open arms? Everybody deserves a second chance right?

No, he owns bitcoin.com and still uses it for his propaganda. He can make a video to apology but if he is still doing his craps on his website then his video is useless. He needs to make more than a video to be accepted again from  the BTC community.
To be honest, knowing how this guy is and what he is able to do, I wouldn't be surprised if the video is for a "guet-apens"
6614  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: BTC manipulation or not? You wont believe in your eyes!!! on: June 01, 2018, 05:25:49 PM
Are 6 months enough to say there is a manipulation? Just asking because in my opinion if there is really a manipulation each 6th, we are supposed to see it longer, I mean look at 2017.
And I wonder why the 6, is there a subliminal message, this is a good question for Alex Jones Tongue
I know he will: 6 because of 666 mark of the beast, new world order

6616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: General Publics Perception of Bitcoin? What are your experiences? on: May 31, 2018, 07:41:50 PM
I usually get 2 answers when I start to talk about the topic

1)

Q: Do you know about Bitcoin?
A: Bitcoin? Yes I know it's a bubble
Q: And what is a bubble so?
A: hmm...hmmm...hmm...it's...it's...wait...it's like when...wait...humm...hard to explain...

2)
Q: Do you know about Bitcoin?
A: Yeah I perfectly know about Bitcoin, it's the currency of the darknet
Q: Oh, you visited the Darknet?
A: No, never.

It shows me that people in 2018 still just listen to the media and repeat like a parrot without even understand it. TV really makes people like sheep. Now I just discuss with people already in crypto or blockchain and fintech
6617  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Good news from Brazil on: May 31, 2018, 06:32:32 PM
Malta, Switzerland, Germany,... Every country wants to be the number 1 in the crypto (adoption, exchange, hub, ...) But very few nations do something to help to make something concrete. Other than regulations which at the end, make the country unfriendly for cryptos

Huobi, one of the largest crypto-currency exchanges in the world, opens its office in Brazil without much publicity. According to local media reports, the management of the Singapore company was spotted at a trade event in this South American country where it actively contacted the well-known figures from the Brazilian crypto-currency community. It was also reported that Huobi has already rented an office in São Paulo, the country's largest city, considered its financial capital. In addition, the company began to search for local staff through LinkedIn, in particular, opening the vacancy of the Compliance Director and the Manager of the Digital Market. Huobi, who moved from China to Singapore last fall after the ban on the country's crypto-currency trade, has been actively expanding its activities around the world in recent months. In January, it was reported that Huobi intends to open an office in San Francisco. In April, the crypto-exchange Huobi Korea began its work in Korea - this event should have happened earlier, but was postponed due to tightening of regulation in the country. Next, Huobi announced plans to open its first offices in Europe and Canada - in London and Toronto, respectively.

6618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No fees crypto exchange platforms? on: May 31, 2018, 06:07:37 PM
The trading fees are most, if not all, of their revenues. It costs a lot of money to create, manage, secure such infrastructures. Why should you get the infrastructure for free while they paid millions?
6619  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN DIE !!! on: May 30, 2018, 09:09:30 PM
The price doesn't make Bitcoin dead or alive. It's about the number of people using it.
Let"s say 1 BTC = 1$ but half of the worldwide population is using it daily. Does it mean Bitcoin is dead? Nope.

I don't know if the crisis in Italy is really playing a role in the current value, but if it is then Bitcoin could reach the 15;000$ this summer

6620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Even more Confusion now, Bitcoin Core has been created on: May 30, 2018, 08:41:22 PM
I suggested something similar not long ago, just for fun with Roger Ver. I am glad someone created it and I totally support the initiative. Now it will make it clear that Bitcoin is Bitcoin and BItcoinCash is an altcoin

no bitcoin core is the true bitcoin

if you want to make a ton of money at the expense of the bitcoin sect, the bitcoin investors, the miner assosiations, and at the expence of the trustworthyness of the industry itself

then buy bitcoin core now and say proudly and determinately into the face of the world:

"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"
"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"
"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"
"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"
"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"
"bitcoin core is the true and original bitcoin"

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

(you guys are fighting against systematic market forces that are beyond your understanding)

The name Bitcoin Core for BTC is unknown to me. I don't know what is Bitcoin Core.
But I know Bitcoin for BTC and this is the only name and the original Bitcoin, any other is just an altcoin (BCH included in)
No one uses the name Bitcoin Core, and almost no exchange, wallet, etc list BTC as Bitcoin Core. Recently a guy listed all website listing BTC as Bitcoin Core. With like 50 famous sites listed (exchanges, wallets, etc) only 2 are listing BTC as Bitcoin Core. Guess which? Snap Roger Ver assets!

it doesnt matter weather something is unknown to you or not "correct" people will define the "truth" according to their interest, and if countless poor people that hold bitcoin xyz will have an interest they will define you as the altcoin it doesnt matter what you say.

Not really because the real story is already written, it's not like if we were in the first weeks of the Bitcoin existence. If for example in the future the majority prefers Bitcoin 123, then this same majority will switch to Bitcoin 123, an altcoin forked from Bitcoin.

If I create a better Iphone than Apple and the majority prefer my phone, it doesn't mean I am the real Apple company
