681  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gov'ts and Institutions buying up Bitcoin on: August 09, 2019, 09:00:05 PM
They maybe, they may not. There is no full coverage or link of evidence that shows they are,  we should be a bit mindful of what we conclude on though.
However, looking at the way they are going about with full force on Bitcoin, it could be they are indirectly making it popular to stir up it price for their own gain if they had purchased it or trying to cause a price reduction because they didn't invest on it.
682  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What methods currently exists to buy Bitcoin with fiat without a third party? on: August 09, 2019, 07:04:16 PM
What online methods currently exists to buy Bitcoin with fiat without a trusted third party?

LocalBitcoins has an escrow through a trusted third party, and Bisq has an escrow through a trusted arbitrator.

Are there any non-third party options out there?

Though it is not fully online but OTC still remains your best choice. It will be quite difficult to get the exact of what you are looking for.
There are many sites out there where you can place your order to find a buyer or seller around you. Just remember to transact in a safe place.
683  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we need anonymity? on: August 09, 2019, 05:47:05 PM
You made good points OP, truly anonymity is not the key, as it rubs that 'togetherness' in socialising with people.
But that has to do with socialisation and relating with people, when it comes to funds, anonymity plays a vital role.
With the way the Internet is becoming more hostile and misusing information, it best one remains anonymous.
684  Economy / Economics / Re: Did Satoshi ever mention anything about the taxing of Bitcoin? on: August 09, 2019, 10:51:17 AM
The question now is, will state governments issue mandated tax payment for every single person holding on or investing in Bitcoin?
For sure Satoshi did not mention taxation and it was obviously one of his major reasons for the creation of Bitcoin; to be free from tax. If the currency is not been controlled by any third party with trust, no need for tax.

However, IRS loves to go where there is much crowd, they see Bitcoin as a means many people use to escape tax payment more reason you see their involvement in it.
685  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Could Surpass $15,000 This Week: Max Keiser on: August 09, 2019, 04:48:29 AM
Weekend is here and we are in 11k+, I don't see any 15k price coming anytime sooner.
If the price suddenly pumps up to 15k just a day then something is definitely wrong.
The price of 15k is achievable but there is a likelihood that it will be on the closing of the year. Though, his price prediction seems way more realistic than others.
My concern is that many might want to sell because of the issue of with banking and centralized government.
686  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Bitcoin Save Investors? on: August 08, 2019, 10:56:08 PM
It might, it might not.
One of the many things why many Bitcoin investors are advocating for Bitcoin is because they believe it will help to resolve a situation like this such as in time of inflation and others.
So since Bitcoin has not witnessed anything related to that, it is hard to tell.
We can only hold on to high chances like this.
687  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's the *easiest* profitable betting strategy? on: August 08, 2019, 08:43:16 PM
well Affiliate / Referral  is for me the most profitable strategy to earn on gambling. Too bad I am using that earnings to gamble so in the end i am still even.  Roll Eyes

Gambling affiliate can be good also but it doesn't come as 'easiest betting strategy* as OP has asked.
Moreover, for one to earn easily from online gambling affiliate, he/she might have had a pervious long history of audience, aside this it will be difficult for a new marketer. This adds up to marketing a good online gambling site that pays well, if they are genuine, bringing people to them would be less tasking.
688  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance hacked again 10k+ KYC (FACEBOOK 2.0 LEAKAGE) on: August 08, 2019, 02:17:06 PM
The story might be an old one but it really speaks bad of Binance.
Any exchange does not have the right to store users IDs after KYC this is because when hacked, this is what hackers go after aside the funds.
It should be deleted immediately after the verification process. With incidents like this, users can sue them, and paying the damages fee won't be an easy on.

689  Economy / Speculation / Re: Good news! Bitcoin Price Breaks $10K Barrier on: August 08, 2019, 12:03:32 PM
Today it's already more than $12k so $15k is quite possible. Maybe even earlier than December.

Reaching a price of 12k-15k earlier than is too soon in my on opinion. Though, it is very much possible to see a price 15k on December exactly.
And it is after there have been occurrence of several fluctuations.
690  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man won 12 times in lottery on: August 08, 2019, 09:53:15 AM
I guess this complement this thread; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5172095.0
Personally I wouldn't have thought lottery can be better than slot or casino gambling. Well, this also implies that nothing is impossible.
Using mathematical means to crack the likely number is good but the process may take quite sometime. If one is always certain about the numbers then the long wait is worth it.
691  Economy / Economics / Re: What is behind the past few days of rally? on: August 08, 2019, 07:17:40 AM
Two big time things I know about Bitcoin:

1) It is manipulated big time.
2) Bitcoin news is usually toxic, big time.

Everything else is just speculation.

Sometimes it doesn't have to be the effect of these two you mentioned.
It's price sometimes can be psychological. A price increase can be triggered by a small price increases, when people notice an increase, they tends to buy quickly as they believe they might profit in it.
Moreover, I don't see the recent increase as an effect of anything. Its more of a normal market growth.
692  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Serious question about Bitcoin. Is it a reliable and stable investment? on: August 08, 2019, 05:14:32 AM
Is it even possible to see the lows we saw a few months ago(ie $3500) ever again?

Please give me your thoughts. IRA or Bitcoin for the long term?

This is very much possible because the market direction can not be determined most times. Left for investors and traders they will put in everything to prevent it, yet it  is very much behold them expect for the whales.

Please give me your thoughts. IRA or Bitcoin for the long term?

I suggest your friend should leave the fund they have in IRA, they may not be getting much interest at least the money has zero chances of dipping. He should invest in Bitcoin with spare funds and then be ready for anything in the future. In the future, Bitcoin price may triple in price or even reduce more than the present price.
693  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why Choose Lottery Instead Of Anything Else? on: August 07, 2019, 01:53:56 PM
Each has their own advantages but I think there are way lesser chances in wining in lottery than in gambling because its  more of guessing/probability.
Though with lottery, you don't have to formulate nor master winning strategies unlike in slots or casinos gambling.
Playing the lottery may require little money but once the player wins its more likely to be big. It all about what works best for the player and the willingness to stick to it.
694  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Local bitcoin trading site doing KYC NOW on: August 06, 2019, 07:39:05 PM
They started this way back in 2018, though implementing a limited funds transaction for unverified accounts but came fully lately.
Left for them, they probably won't have done have asked for KYC since they know that is what attracted their customers but since the interference of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which is a European Union decree on data protection and privacy and the other regulation from Finland they had to obey. It is either this or the pressure to shut down  their establishment will always be mounted on them.
695  Economy / Speculation / Re: Analyst: Bitcoin below $ 10,000 is a gift! on: August 06, 2019, 02:37:02 PM
One can consider it as a gift as it is low enough for buying, as many believe this 9k-10k is how low the price can go.
Aside that, I don't believe the 10k price will stay like that forever, we are vouching for an estimated price of 15k-30k as this month closes.
Also, every price dip shouldn't be a cause for alarm or fear some are needed for market correction.

696  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will China Accept Bitcoin As A Currency? on: August 06, 2019, 12:47:15 PM
Probably we might, that is if China will loosen it hold on many things in the future.
Moreover, China is not the only country which cryptocurrency will create huge impact. If many huge  countries  with high population will accept crypto digital, particularly Bitcoin. We will have faster adoption and circulation.
697  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling habits that will cost you on: August 06, 2019, 04:42:16 AM
Just to add, giving yourself a spade interval before another game whether after every lose or win.
I usually do this just to keep myself on check to prevent addition and to also prevent 'angry playing' a game after losing.
The spacing could be few days. During those period, I sometimes demo play to improve my skills before putting back my money in the real game.
698  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do you think about Gambling and e-sports? on: August 05, 2019, 08:27:40 PM
It is becoming much popular this days though. With the way the world is going deeper into technology, it is certain that a lot of setups will be going digital.
This includes the gambling industry, this is why we are seeing the likes of e-sport. Years to come there will be different updates on it.
If it is been combined with the traditional one, the experience will be phenomena. It will be more like experiencing two different things to one.
699  Economy / Speculation / Re: the price of bitcoin again above 10,000, where it will move ?? interesting on: August 02, 2019, 11:27:55 PM
Last month I was expecting Bitcoin to move to the $11000 level but its dips to $9000, hopefully now it touches to the $10000 level it's not going to drop to the $9000 level anymore if we are going to have a new all-time high, we must break the $13000 this early, hopefully, this month of August will bring us a good results.

Don't be too sure that we can't suddenly see the price of $9k anymore.
It is very much possible to get that and it really depends on peoples reactions to it at this present price of 10k.
I am also putting for the price of 13k at the end of this month too.
700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What You Should Know Before Playing A Crypto Betting Game on: August 02, 2019, 07:49:44 PM

It's MagicDice. It was hosted on Steem blockchain.

Haven't heard about this website.
However, the owner shouldn't be left to walk freely. Research should be conducted and he should be pinned down to pay every funds.
His scamming tactics was really different as he waited to gain people's trust as many usually look out for reviews before using a gambling site.
If he had a registered license to the site, apprehending him would have been easy.
