681  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: September 19, 2014, 06:35:03 AM
Ok, so since I formatted my hdd in my laptop like two weeks ago. I lost some of my favorite links.

Can someone post me a ink on the new firmware I have with the stuff to edit so I can get 243.75 added back in. I think it was removed when this (the S3) got reset.

Ty.

Bitmain's site has the firmware:
https://www.bitmaintech.com/support.htm?pid=007201407180243004432lBQW28O0633

I use Cygwin to ssh into them then use vi editor.
U can also download putty to ssh in.
Sorry I should have clarified but the post here that shows where to find the file and what the freqs are that BMT left out.

I need to edit the "new" firmware to add 243.75 etc. and there's a post whos link I lost in the format for that here.

Ty.

The latest firmware (antMiner_S320140826.bin) already includes frequencies from 100M to 250M...yes, including 243.75M.

Please check your facts because it DOES NOT, I've had the FW installed since Day 1 of its release and it doesnt have 243.75 so I revert to my "what I should have said" comment.

philipma knows what I'm asking for if he sees this... Ty.

I think it's you who should check your facts.  I have installed antMiner_S320140826.bin (latest firmware on the Bitmain S3 support page) and am pretty sure that it does include 100M and 500M because I am currently using 243.75M.  If you're still not convinced, then that's your problem; sorry for trying to help out.  This was posted on the prior page, just before your post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=671189.msg8882222#msg8882222

Well, I dunno what to tell you then because I have the new FW with freq tab and jumps 237 to 250 with nothing in between and I had to add 243.75 on all other S3's to use the new FW.

Edit: Also, that pic doesnt mean jack because he could have added that freq to the list before posting it but nuff said, I have what I want below now.

conf:tab("advanced", translate("Advanced Settings"))
pb = conf:taboption("advanced", ListValue, "freq", translate("Frequency"))
pb.default = "18:218.75:1106"

Delaying payment 24 hours as quite a few people have yet to fill out the form which was a big issue last time. Please get it filled out by this time tomorrow if you haven't already.

I had no clue that was an issue, I'll have the form completed in 1 hour, sorry for any issues it caused in the past.
I wouldnt say it was an issue but more of a nuisance. But ya, people should know enough that payments are to be requested as advertised, in the case of the campaign if it were to continue, the 17th of every month.

I'm keeping my sig but I have a question for Stunna.

I'd like to mod it for my ref link but am I still able to get the increased percentage previously discussed for referrals ?
Check your primedice account, I have the increased percentage and I'm sure it will stay there after the sig campaign.
All I keep getting is this...

Loading the world's most popular

Bitcoin gambling website...

Edit: Last I knew Stunna had to manually add the increased ref percentage.

This is about a diff car now, looking at an 03 Chevy Blazer with approx 134k miles on it. I checked out diff things on yahoo and they all seem to say the 03 does around 16mpg city. I know this can vary based on certain factors but assuming a base value of 16mpg. Is that "good" for an 03 Blazer ?

Thank god this campaign is over, I am seeing a lot of spamers these days and usually all are from primedice. Stunna should really check posts quality before pay to everyone.

I see alot of one worded posts on your account, maybe we should go to your sig campaign and post false accusations against ur campaign?

Yup, he's on my ignore list because of these kinds of accusations.  Funny how you can see stuff from someone you ignore when it's in a quote, though.
That because the quote is basically a repost of ignorede content that just links to the ignored persons profile.

Most of the spammers you were seeing got cut when this term began. I may make a w/e post once n a while but most everything I post I try to always keep on topic.

I'm wondering if this campaign would even be closing if all the whiners didnt cry foul and make stunnas life a living hell over a few coin they needed to pay their bills bec they were to lazy to get a real job.
693  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you buy a used car with 200k miles ? on: September 16, 2014, 09:09:37 AM
I may end up having to goto a dealer, I know it's just a gimmick of sorts but I got one of those things in the mail where they "give" you $2,250 towards a car which in reality that's just theyre marked up profit being knocked off. For the fun of it though, with the two grand I have from various sources and this so called coupon, you may as well say I have $4,250 to spend at the dealer. Probably set something up to go down this Sat which will give me the rest of the week to maybe find a nice Craigslist deal.

If you plan on doing the maintenance yourself, yes, it's fine. I wouldn't buy that Chevy with 200k miles, though - it's going to be falling apart. In general, American cars don't last more than 200k miles.
Someone else bought it anyway so it's back to the drawing board as the saying goes. As for high mileage, I suppose I could go either way as long as the body and frames good and the engine holds up for at least a year.

Look for Stunna's last post in here. He said he was thinking about this being the last month due to the hassle, though hopefully that was something he said just out of stress at the time, though I suppose also more members could be cut as well.
The hassle was AFAIK, just the whiners who didn't get paid for one reason or another that was most likely their own fault yet they wanted to place blame on stunna because I guess he seemed like an easy target as the operator of this campaign.

Don't worry about it s0br, people fear what they don't understand.
698  Other / Off-topic / Re: Would you buy a used car with 200k miles ? on: September 14, 2014, 08:24:18 AM
Some cars are really built to last and if well maintained and serviced I'd have no problem buying one if the price is right.  I personally would prefer that the car is one that is known to last even with high mileage. Good luck with your purchase and I assume it's obvious but I'll say it anyway.  Don't buy anything unless you have a mechanic you trust  look at the vehicle first.
I do know of one that I trust. I wouldnt even be looking at craigslist if all the dealerships around here didnt try to rip you off for double what a private seller would charge. I know that can be a double edged sword but I'd sooner trust a private seller with a mechanic I trust before I would any of the dealerships around here... at least the last one I bought from 10 yrs ago anyway.

Thx for the two replies so far guys. I'm in the market for a "new" car for me and my mom and thx to a loan from a friend that stacks on cash I already had in the bank I have two grand I can spend with a bit extra to cover transfer, tags etc.

I've seen a few "nice on paper" ones and am currently waiting for some replies back. It's just a lot of the so called nicer vehicles seem to all be around 150k plus in miles. I know a lot of it is probably "just in your head" stuff but the miles kind of worry me but it's the higher mile cars that seem nicer that dont as of right now seem to need any work.

If I ask for the vin would something like carfax give me all the shop history stuff mentioned by singlebyte ?

Just checked some of the old listing I bookmarked before I had all the cash I needed and right now the best I have found that is still the only one available as far as I can tell is a 7 passenger minivan.

From the listing...
Quote
2001 chevy venture ls. 7 passenger. nice interior. cold ac. trailer hitch. 208k miles. good runner. no rust holes. dual sliding doors - 1 automatic. inspected til 3/15. $1600/possible trades.

Condition: Good
Size / Dimensions: 7 Passenger
Drive: FWD
Transmission: Automatic
Title Status: Clean
Cylinders: 6 Cylinders

Just curious where a lot of you stand on this who have or ever thought of buying a used car.

I'm in the market for one right now and I got some emails out to a few I found on craigslist that look nice but they all have mileage ranging from high 90k to just over 200k. I know engines can be iffy but as long as the body and frame is in good shape, would you consider a car with around 200k miles on it ?
