Walk to a store and steal one
I don't this often but I read that and literally LMFAO... but it is an idea lol. I think the last thing I stole was a butterfinger from 7-11 when I was like 15/16 (32  now).

That might be for a pdu
But yes it says 110v so just a cable
This is all that's on it.

180-2082-01 Rev.51

It's on a white sticker wrapped around the funny end of the plug.

Edit: Sellers refunding a few bucks to go out and get a power cord but he said that's all I need. Still worried what'll happen though when I plug it in lol

I did notice one weird thing, this unit has an IP sticker on the back of it. Why might this be since AFAIK, any device when hooked up to the internet via router, switch etc. is auto assigned IP's.

Maybe because he used a static address to find them easier.. you should continue to use it if it's still valid and you're router is on the same subnet
It is, 192.168.1.xxx

Either way the bi of shock values gone lol but I really can't wait to ge this thing humming along for me... just gotta get a plug and I got no car lol.

1626  Bitcoin / Mining support / Solved: Avalon 200Gh/s miner help, please and Ty ! on: February 06, 2014, 03:56:18 PM
So I just got this damn 200-220Gh/s Avalon miner I ordered. Seller didn't tell me it came with this damn chinese plug or w/e it is.

The listing states it is 110v/220v operation, so after I spend all day trying to get a US style plug for a computer PSU. This in theory means I should just be able to plug it in to the PSU and wall and get going right ?

The ass end that sticks in to the PSU looks how you'd expect it to, and so does the other end except the pins that would otherwise go in to the wall plug are "boxed" in. Upon closer inspection, I noticed that what would otherwise be the ground pin is flat like the others and that the three pins are extremely close.

Actually, I just looked again and the part that looks like it would go in the wall is a mirror of the port on the PSU so I can take both ends of the plug and snap em in to each other so it looks like that snake that eats it's own tail.

So thee damn miner just got here and guess what ?

I CANT USE IT !

Came with a flipping chinese plug and there's no local stores that sell computer plugs around here except for staples and I don't have a car.

I havent mined here in a few weeks, that said... I got an avalon system comin tomorrow that I want to test on a few pools and I'm going to start here. That said, it's 200-220GGh/s... once I plug it in and get it rolling. How long would it need to run before it ges ull steam / equalizes so earnings are consistent. If I recall right, aint it something like 20hrs ?

I believe you would need to complete 10 shifts at an average speed and then the block after that would give you an indication of what to expect. The shifts are currently taking around 3 hours to complete so you'd need to let it go approx 30 hours.

My understanding is that as soon as you've got a score (work done) for a single shift you can start getting paid for blocks found, but you'll have one shift with work done and 9 with 0 which will lower your average score which will lower your payouts. After 10 shifts at your full speed your score average should be nominal and the next block after that will payout what you would expect per block. If you stop mining here (or your equipment has an issue for a shift or two) your average drops a little each time but if blocks are found before you're at 0 work for the last 10 shifts you'll still get something.

I've got 3 Chili miners and for whatever reason two of them decided to have problems early this morning. When I got into work my hash rate was ~33 instead of ~100 and watching the shifts I can see approx when they went out. So my last 10 shifts look like this -

32.1 - 63.2 - 98.7 - 99.3 - 96.2 - 95.9 - 98.8 - 100.3 - 99.7 - 97.9

That is the speed which corresponds to the work performed which is used to calculate the score based on what % of the work you did. Currently, because of those lousy shifts early this morning my payout will be a bit lower than if I had 10 good rounds the next time a block is found. However now that everything is working correctly again my speed/work/score will be up again and after 10 shifts these bad ones will be out of my average.

Again the mess above is just my understanding. Math and I had a falling out in the 90s and its just been weird whenever we get together since then...
Sounds good, should be here anytime if fedex hurrys up.

So try getting her drunk first ?
1629  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [4700 TH] BTC Guild - Pays TxFees+Orphan+NMC, Stratum, Private Servers on: February 06, 2014, 06:02:50 AM
On the home screen where the account balances are for BTC and NMC, would it be possible to add an "Expected Per Block" field ?

I'm not a fan of showing expected amounts, since it's very frequently taken out of context or taken as an absolute fact rather than what it is:  an estimate based on current performance.
Well, if people wana be complete ass hats and not grasp the meaning of an estimate then that's on them but I for one would like to and understand what it would mean.

Edit: Maybe add the feature but make i to where it's only enabled by you for people requesting this info.

I think he said it is 10 blocks worth of shares to be stable (real) output.
That could be 10days if we have 10 99% blocks to jackhammer.

ten blocks will give you a good idea, Hope for easy ones Smiley
So the way thins have been goin it'll be about two days then i I'm lucky.

New diff as of 2/5/14 2:15am EST: 2,621,404,453 (+ 427,556,583)

On side note,
Eleuthria... do you ever see sub pools in BTC Guilds future. Not too sure on how they work but as I think I understand it, they sorta work like a referral system for people that bring hash in. They get a bump of sorts in pay or w/e.

Also, someone able to explain to me why I saw this in CGMiner when there was still one block left before the diff jump. I know this because I was watching my node stats at he same time and the diff didn't change til 2:05, 35mins after what I saw in CGMiner.

1636  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Kill-A-Watt Confusion on: February 04, 2014, 12:15:21 AM
I was looking to get a killawatt and the different models are mind raping me.

I don't need anything too expensive with bells n whistles coming out the ass. I just need something I can use for about 5 minutes or so to measure the kWh of some BTC stuff to calculate it's 24/7 operating costs.

I want to basically find something that can handle equipment with room to spare so I don't go plug something in one day and burn out the meter.

I do notice a lot of people keep their killawatts plugged in all the time and this intrigues me. Why do this when you only need the measurement once of a single item ? I mean, if somethings running a 1000W or w/e I doubt it's kwh is going to fluctuate any if it's on 24/7.

This model has never let me down.  Supports up to 15AMP, has surge protection, etc. Have a 3xGPU rig, multiple ASICs, multiple FPGAs, four monitors, a 50" TV, and two fans hooked up to it.

I saw hat but was more leaning towards the small cheaper units, that strips like $65 if I recall.
